Polyesters containing bicyclo[2.2.2]octane and bicyclo[3.2.2]nonane rings are prepared from 1,4-bis(carboethoxy)bicyclo[2.2.2]octane, 1,4-bis(hydroxymethyl)bicyclo[2.2.2]-octane and the 1,5-disubstituted bicyclo[3.2.2]nonane analogs. These polyesters are compared to the related polymers containing 1,4-phenylene and trans-1,4-cyclohexylene rings in terms of their melting point, thermal stabilities and oxidative stabilities. The lower symmetry of the bicyclo[3.2.2]nonane ring produces lower-melting polymers than the other ring systems. The remaining three rings are approximately equivalent in their effect on the melting point of a polymer provided that no more than one bicyclo[2.2.2]octane ring is present per polymer repeat unit. Two such rings produce a highermelting polymer than any other combination. Both the thermal and oxidative stabilities of the polyesters is improved by the presence of the bicyclo rings. This is attributed to the rings providing an approximation of a ladder polymer.  相似文献

[reactions: see text] Fragmentation of the cyclobutane-containing adducts generated from intramolecular cycloadditions of cyclobutadiene with olefins provides rapid entry into bicyclo[5.3.0]decane and bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane ring systems. Whereas earlier studies featured thermal methods to achieve the desired rearrangements, a mild, Lewis acid-mediated fragmentation has been identified for substrates with appropriate functionality adjacent to the strained ring system. The substrate scope and stereochemical outcome of the acid-mediated fragmentation are complementary to the thermal ring expansions, particularly in the case of the bicyclo[5.3.0]decanes.  相似文献

13C chemical shifts of more than fifty bicyclo[3.2.1]octane and bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivatives (hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones and esters) have been determined. The usefulness of ethyl derivatives for the assignment of close 13C chemical shifts in bicyclic methyl derivatives is shown both for the bicyclo[3.2.1]octane and bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane series. Comparison of substituent effects on α-, β-, γ- and δ-carbons in both series of compounds shows remarkable differences in steric interactions. In contrast to the rigid bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane system, both chair and boat conformations can be predominant in the bicyclo[3.2.1]octane series with the conformationally flexible 6-membered ring.  相似文献

Reactions of bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-2,6-dione and bicyclo[3.3.0]octane-3,7-dione with 8-amino-7-quino-linecarbaldehyde under basic conditions led to fused nonplanar compounds with one or two 1,10-phenanthroline moieties. The novel heterocyclic systems bicyclo[3.3.1]nonano[2,3-b]bis[1,10]-phenanthroline, cis-bicyclo[3.3.0]octano[3,2-b:7,6-b']bis[1,10]phenanthroline, bicyclo[3.3.1]nona-no[2,3-b:6,7-b']bis[1,10]phenanthroline, and 8H-9,16-methanoindolo[2',3':5,6]cycloocta[1,2-b]bis-[1,10]-phenanthroline have been synthesized and characterized.  相似文献

The cyanosubstituted trimethylenemethane donor undergoes palladium-catalyzed [6 + 3] cycloaddition with a variety of tropones to yield bicyclo[4.3.1]decadienes in excellent regio-, diastereo-, and enantioselectivity. Products of the Pd-TMM [6 + 3] cycloaddition participate in a thermal [3,3] sigmatropic rearrangement to yield bicyclo[3.3.2]decadienes in good yield.  相似文献

The simple refluxing of allenynes, having a phenylsulfonyl functionality on the allenyl group, in xylene (or mesitylene) without microwave irradiation resulted in the efficient formation of bicyclo[5.2.0]nona-1,7-dienes and bicyclo[4.2.0]octa-1,6-dienes in high yields. This method was shown to be successfully applicable to the first construction of bicyclo[6.2.0]deca-1,8-dienes. Construction of the corresponding oxa- and azabicyclo[m.2.0] frameworks could also be attained. This thermal ring-closing reaction involves the formal [2+2] cycloaddition in which the distal double bond of an allenyl moiety exclusively served as one of the pi-components regardless of the position of the phenysulfonyl functionality on the allenyl moiety.  相似文献

A novel, general, and stereoselective route to functionalized bridged bicyclo[2.2.2]octanes, bicyclo[3.3.0]octanes, bicyclo[4.2.0]octanes, and tricyclo[4.3.1.0(3,7)]decanes has been described. Various functionalized and substituted bicyclo[2.2.2]octanes endowed with a beta,gamma-enone chromophore were synthesized via cycloaddition of in situ generated cyclohexa-2,4-dienones with electron-deficient 2pi partners and manipulation of the resulting adducts. Triplet sensitized irradiation of bridged bicyclooctenones led to synthesis of bicyclo[3.3.0]octanoids, whereas the direct irradiation furnished bicyclo[4.2.0]octanes in stereoselective fashion as a result of modulation of reactivity in excited states. Further, manipulation of the adducts led to appropriately appended and functionalized bicyclo[2.2.2]octanes that upon radical induced cyclization provided an efficient and stereoselective route to the tricyclo[4.3.1.0(3,7)]decane (isotwistane) framework of pupukeananes.  相似文献

An ab initia SCF-LCAO-MO study of bicyclo [2.2.1] heptane(I) and of bicyclo [2.2.2] octane(II) has been performed. The electronic structure and the nature of the molecular orbitals and of the bonds have been analyzed. Interactions between fragment orbitals may be recognized. The bridgehead C-H bonds interact dominantly “through-space” in I and “through-bond” in II. Some relations between electronic structure and molecular properties are discussed.  相似文献

The 13C-NMR spectra of some bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-3-en-2-ols and of some bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-3-en-2-ones are described. The bond parameters of bicyclo[3.1.0]hex-3-en-2-one are derived from a structure determination of endo-6-methoxy-1,3,6-triphenylbicyclo[3.1.0]hex-3-en-2-one. The electron density is calculated by the EHT method, and correlated with the 13C NMR shifts. For comparison the 13C NMR spectrum of a bicyclo[4.1.0]hepta-1,5-dione derivative is analysed. The influence of a cyclopropane system attached to a five-membered and to a six-membered ring is elucidated. Whereas the five-membered ring shows conjugation between the carbonyl group and the cyclopropane system, the same effect is not observed in the six-membered ring analogue. This is explained by the highly rigid structure of the five-membered ring.  相似文献

It has been shown that bicyclo[5.1.0]-2,4-octadieneiron tricarbonyl undergoes thermal isomerization to bicyclo[4.2.0]-2,4-octadieneiron tricarbonyl. The first-order rate constant for this process at 120.6° was determined to be 1.8 X 10?5 s?1 which corresponds to ΔF3 = 31.8 kcal/mol. Gas chromatographic results coupled with a kinetic analysis very strongly suggest that 1,3,5-cyclooctatrieneiron tricarbonyl is an intermediate in this isomerization. Two plausible mechanisms are offered to explain this rearrangement.  相似文献

The cycloisomerization of 1,5-enynes catalyzed by cationic triphenylphosphinegold(I) complexes produces bicyclo[3.1.0]hexenes. Substitution at all positions of the 1,5-enyne is tolerated, leading to a wide range of bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane structures, including those containing quaternary carbons. Substrates containing a 1,2-disubstituted olefin undergo stereospecific cycloisomerization (cis-olefin produces cis-cyclopropane, and trans-olefin gives trans-cyclopropane). Additionally, enantioenriched bicyclo[3.1.0]hexenes can be obtained from the gold(I)-catalyzed cycloisomerization of enantioenriched 1,5-enynes with excellent chirality transfer. The preparation of tricyclic systems is accomplished through a gold(I)-catalyzed tandem cycloisomerization-ring enlargement reaction.  相似文献

The variability of carbon-carbon single bonds by steric and electronic effects is probed by DFT calculations of sterically crowded bicyclo[1.1.0]butanes and their radical cations. The interplay of sterics and electronics on the gradual weakening and breaking of bonds was studied by investigating bridgehead substitution in 1,3-di-tert-butylbicyclo[1.1.0]butane and 2,2',4,4'-tetramethyl-1,3-di-tert-butylbicyclo[1.1.0]butane and geminal substitution in 2,2'-di-tert-butylbicyclo[1.1.0]butane and 2,2',4,4'-tetra-tert-butylbicyclo[1.1.0]butane. Bridgehead substitution leads to a lengthening of the central bond, whereas bisubstitution on the geminal carbon leads to a shortening of this bond due to a Thorpe-Ingold effect. Although the character of the central bond can be modulated by substitution and electron transfer over a range of 0.35 A, the state forbidden ring planarization does not occur. Sterically crowded bicyclo[1.1.0]butane radical cations are therefore promising candidates for the investigation of extremely long carbon-carbon single bonds.  相似文献

Applying the method of maximum overlap, the hybridization in bicyclo[2.1.0]pent-2-ene is determined. In addition, upon comparing these results with those of cyclobutene, cyclopropane, Dewar benzene and bicyclo[1.1.0]butane, it is found that the hybrids calculated by the method of maximum overlap are transferable between parts of molecules for which the structural features are similar.  相似文献

Tetracyclo[5.4.0.0.(2,4)0(3,7)]undec-9-enes, prepared by the transition-metal-catalyzed [4 + 2 + 2] homo-Diels-Alder reactions of norbornadiene and 1,3-butadienes, can be opened using either acid-promoted or Zeise's dimer-mediated cyclopropane ring cleavage, ultimately leading to cis-fused bicyclo[5.3.0]decanes (perhydroazulenes). Stereoselective functionalization of the olefin unit in the tetracycloundecenes to an alcohol or diol prior to ring opening is tolerated by the Zeise's dimer ([Pt(C(2)H(4))Cl(2)](2)) catalyst to yield highly functionalized bicyclo[5.3.0]decanes, which form the core structure of numerous sesquiterpenes.  相似文献
