The N‐substituted polyaniline (PANi) was synthesized by incorporation of bromine‐terminated mesogens onto the emeraldine form of polyaniline. Firsty three liquid crystalline molecules containing biphenyl units were synthesized. These mesogenic molecules are named as: 6‐bromo‐ (4‐hexyloxy‐biphenyl‐4′‐oxy) hexane (C6? C6Br), 5‐bromo‐(4‐hexyloxy‐biphenyl‐4′‐oxy) pentane (C6? C5Br), 6‐bromo‐(4‐octyloxy‐biphenyl‐4′‐oxy) hexane (C8? C6Br). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in combination with polarizing optical microscopy (POM) were used to investigate the thermal properties of them. Optical microscopy showed focal conic texture characteristic of the Smectic A phase for (C6? C5Br) and (C8? C6Br). For (C6? C6? Br) smectic phase was determined. DSC experiments were also found in accord with mesophase formation. For the synthesis of N‐substituted polyaniline with these mesogen molecules, the emeraldine base polyaniline was reacted with BuLi to produce the N‐anionic polyaniline and then deprotonated polyaniline was reacted with bromine‐end mesogen to prepare mesogen‐substituted polyaniline through N‐substitution reaction. The degree of N‐substitution can be controlled by adjusting the molar feed ratio of mesogen to the number of repeat units of PANi. The microstructure and compositions of obtained polymers were characterized by FT‐IR, elemental analysis, DSC, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The cyclicvoltammetry show that the electroactivity of N‐substituted polyaniline is strongly dependent on the degree of N‐grafting. The solubility of mesogen‐substituted polyaniline in common organic solvents such as THF and chloroform was improved by increasing the degree of N‐substitution and also the samples are partially soluble in xylene. Liquid crystalline behavior of mesogen‐substituted polyanilines was investigated via POM, but no mesophase was observed. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The H‐shaped copolymers, [poly(L ‐lactide)]2polystyrene [poly(L ‐lactide)]2, [(PLLA)2PSt(PLLA)2] have been synthesized by combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) with cationic ring‐opening polymerization (CROP). The first step of the synthesis is ATRP of St using α,α′‐dibromo‐p‐xylene/CuBr/2,2′‐bipyridine as initiating system, and then the PSt with two bromine groups at both chain ends (Br–PSt–Br) were transformed to four terminal hydroxyl groups via the reaction of Br–PSt–Br with diethanolamine in N,N‐dimethylformamide. The H‐shaped copolymers were produced by CROP of LLA, using PSt with four terminal hydroxyl groups as macroinitiator and Sn(Oct)2 as catalyst. Novel carbosilane liquid crystalline dendrimers based on 1,6-hexanediol were prepared. Using the precursors Gn-C1 (n = 1-3) with Si-C1 bonds on the periphery as dendritic scaffolds and 4-[4-(6-hydroxyhexyloxy)phenylazo]- nitrobenzene as mesogenic group, a series of carbosilane liquid crystalline dendrimers from the first to the third generation were synthesized. A novel liquid crystalline dendrimer with peripheral mesogenic units was successfully prepared. Azo-reaction and Williamson synthesis were employed in the preparation of the mesogenic unit 4-[4-(6-hydroxyhexyloxy)-phenylazo]nitrobenzene (M-NO2). A terminal Si-Cl functional carbosilane dendrimer based on pentaerythritol was used as dendritic scaffold and subsequently functionalized with the aforementioned groups. Investigation of the liquid crystalline properties of the mesogen-functionalized dendrimer PCSi-IG-NO2 by polarizing optical microscopy, DSC, and X-ray diffraction showed that it exhibits smectic E (SE) phase, different from the corresponding mesogenic unit, which shows nematic phase. Furthermore, the temperatures of both the melting point and the clearing point of the mesogen-functionalized dendrimer decrease, and the temperature region of the SE phase is wider than that of the nematic phase.  相似文献

Spectrophotometric titrations provide information about the interior of the polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers, and therefore how nanoparticles are encapsulated. In this work, binding studies were performed to determine maximum loading capacities (N) of hydroxyl terminated G4, G5, and G6 PAMAM dendrimers with Cu2+ ions. The values of N found via spectrophotometric titrations were 16.22, 31.86, and 57.36 for G4‐OH, G5‐OH, and G6‐OH, respectively. The determination of loading capacity was also done using Viva spin filtration, and the results were found to be in agreement with those found via spectrophotometric titrations. From the binding isotherm, the values of equilibrium constant (K′) were determined and found to be 0.0488 (G4‐OH), 0.0291 (G5‐OH), and 0.0158 (G6‐OH). Owing to instability of G4‐OH (Cu16), G5‐OH (Cu32), and G6‐OH (Cu57) dendrimer‐encapsulated nanoparticles (DENs) synthesized, G6‐OH (Cu55) DENs of average size 2.6 ± 0.3 nm were prepared and were found to be relatively stable. Thus G6‐OH (Cu55) catalyst was evaluated for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol and was found to be catalytically active toward reduction of 4‐nitrophenol. Reaction kinetics of 4NP reduction was thoroughly studied in light of the Langmuir‐Hinshelwood kinetic model, and surface rate k, and the adsorption rates K4NP, and KBH4 were determined. The reaction was performed at different temperatures, which further expanded the study into determination of thermodynamic (ΔH, ΔS, ΔG, and EA) parameters.  相似文献

Statistical copolymers with mesogenic and non-mesogenic comonomer units were synthesized by partial hydroboration of the 1,2-units of polybutadiene and subsequent conversion of the alcohol groups to mesogenic units. The nature of the LC phase proves to be dependent on the mesogen content. Below a certain content the smectic C phase vanishes, and the polymer becomes cypotactic nematic. Tg, Ts,n, Tn,i and ΔHs,n depend on the mesogen content, whereas ΔHn,i is independent. No difference can be detected between the phase behaviour of homopolymers and ABA-triblock copolymers with a liquid crystalline B-block and 10 wt.-% polystyrene A-blocks.  相似文献

Diels-Alder reactions of N-functionalized acryloyl α-pyrrolidone derivatives were investigated, which were catalyzed by FeCl3·6H2O as an efficient catalyst under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. The corresponding cycloadducts with functionalized-pyrrolidone were prepared in high yield with high stereoselectivity by a green chemistry procedure. N-Functionalized acryloyl pyrrolidone derivatives, a kind of pyrrolidone-functionalized chelating α,β-unsaturated ketone usable as a dienophile in Diels-Alder reaction, were synthesized by N-acylation procedure in ionic liquid as a novel synthetic method.  相似文献

4μ‐A2B2 star‐shaped copolymers contained polystyrene (PS), poly(isoprene) (PI), poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) or poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) arms were synthesized by a combination of Glaser coupling with living anionic polymerization (LAP) and ring‐opening polymerization (ROP). Firstly, the functionalized PS or PI with an alkyne group and a protected hydroxyl group at the same end were synthesized by LAP and then modified by propargyl bromide. Subsequently, the macro‐initiator PS or PI with two active hydroxyl groups at the junction point were synthesized by Glaser coupling in the presence of pyridine/CuBr/N,N,N ′,N ″,N ″‐penta‐methyl diethylenetri‐amine (PMDETA) system and followed by hydrolysis of protected hydroxyl groups. Finally, the ROP of EO and ε‐CL monomers was carried out using diphenylmethyl potassium (DPMK) and tin(II)‐bis(2‐ethylhexanoate) (Sn(Oct)2) as catalyst for target star‐shaped copolymers, respectively. These copolymers and their intermediates were well characterized by SEC, 1H NMR, MALDI‐TOF mass spectra and FT‐IR in details. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of chiral, C2 symmetric tridentate N‐heterocyclic carbene precursors, containing two N‐functionalized hydroxyl or alkoxyl groups, were synthesized. They were applied to catalyze the asymmetric conjugate addition of diethylzinc to cyclohex‐2‐enone and cyclopent‐2‐enone. Enantioselectivity of corresponding reactions can be accomplished with up to 76% ee, and 65% ee, respectively. Flip of major enantiomer was observed when different bases or copper sources were utilized.  相似文献

A series of dendritic ionic liquids (DILs) based on imidazolium‐modified poly(aryl ether) dendrimers IL‐Br‐Gn (n=0–3) were synthesized by a modified convergent approach and “click” chemistry. The resulting DILs exhibited high thermal resistance with decomposition temperatures up to 270 °C and low glass transition temperatures in the range of approximately ?5–0 °C. All IL‐Br‐Gn were found to be miscible with water at any ratio and could encapsulate hydrophobic molecules. The reversible phase transfer of the DILs between the aqueous and organic phases was accomplished by simple anion exchange between the hydrophilic Br? anion and the hydrophobic bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide anion (NTf2?). IL‐Br‐Gn could be used as transporters to shuttle hydrophobic molecules between the organic and aqueous phases efficiently. The present work provides a new kind of transporting materials with potential applications in substance separation, drug delivery, and biomolecule transport.  相似文献

The tadpole‐shaped copolymers polystyrene (PS)‐b‐[cyclic poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)] [PS‐b‐(c‐PEO)] contained linear tail chains of PS and cyclic head chains of PEO were synthesized by combination of Glaser coupling with living anionic polymerization (LAP) and ring‐opening polymerization (ROP). First, the functionalized polystyrene‐glycerol (PS‐Gly) with two active hydroxyl groups at ω end was synthesized by LAP of St and the subsequent capping with 1‐ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether and then deprotection of protected hydroxyl group in acid condition. Then, using PS‐Gly as macroinitiator, the ROP of EO was performed using diphenylmethylpotassium as cocatalyst for AB2 star‐shaped copolymers PS‐b‐(PEO‐OH)2, and the alkyne group was introduced onto PEO arm end for PS‐b‐(PEO‐Alkyne)2. Finally, the intramolecular cyclization was performed by Glaser coupling reaction in pyridine/Cu(I)Br/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine system under room temperature, and tadpole‐shaped PS‐b‐(c‐PEO) was formed. The target copolymers and their intermediates were well characterized by size‐exclusion chromatography, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in details. The thermal properties was also determined and compared to investigate the influence of architecture on properties. The results showed that tadpole‐shaped copolymers had lower Tm, Tc, and Xc than that of their precursors of AB2 star‐shaped copolymers. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A divergent approach was used for the synthesis of dendritic structures based on a cyclotriphosphazene core with 12 or 24 hydroxyl groups, by starting from [N3P3(OC6H4OH‐4)6] and using an acetal‐protected 2,2‐di(hydroxymethyl)propionic anhydride as the acylating agent. Hydroxyl groups in these first‐ and second‐generation dendrimers, G1‐(OH)12 or G2‐(OH)24 , were then condensed in turn with mono‐ or polycatenar pro‐mesogenic acids to study their ability to promote self‐assembly into liquid crystalline structures. Reactions were monitored by using 31P{1H} and 1H NMR spectroscopy and the chemical structure of the resulting materials was confirmed by using different spectroscopic techniques and mass spectrometry (MALDI‐TOF MS). The results were in accordance with monodisperse, fully functionalised cyclotriphosphazene dendrimers. Thermal and liquid crystalline properties were studied by using optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X‐ray diffraction. The dendrimer with 12 4‐pentylbiphenyl mesogenic units gives rise to columnar rectangular organisation, whereas the one with 24 pentylbiphenyl units does not exhibit mesomorphic behaviour. In the case of materials that contain polycatenar pro‐mesogenic units with two aromatic rings ( A4 vs. A5 ), the incorporation of a short flexible spacer connected to the periphery of the dendron (acid A5 ) was needed to achieve mesomorphic organisation. In this case, both dendrimer generations G1 A5 and G2 A5 exhibit a hexagonal columnar mesophase.  相似文献

The copolymerizations of two series of surface functionalized bis(acetylene) G1–G3 dendrimers, one ( S ‐ Gn ) having a structural rigid skeleton and the other ( L ‐ Gn ) a relatively more flexible architecture, with two platinum linkers, cis‐[(Et2PCH2CH2PEt2)PtCl2] ( 2 ) and [Cl(Et3P)2Pt‐C?C‐p‐C6H4‐]2 ( 3 ) were investigated. For both series of dendrimers, only linear and/or cyclic oligomers were formed when the cis‐platinum linker 2 was used. However, high molecular weight (100–200 kD) organoplatinum poly(dendrimer)s were obtained from both series when the elongated linear rod‐liked platinum linker 3 was employed and the formation of cyclic oligomers was greatly suppressed for both the structural rigid S ‐ Gn and the structural flexible L ‐ Gn series. These results are in sharp contrast to our earlier findings (S.‐Y. Cheung, H.‐F. Chow, T. Ngai, X. Wei, Chem. Eur. J. 2009 , 15, 2278–2288) obtained by using a shorter linear platinum linker trans‐[Pt(PEt3)2Cl2] ( 1 ), where a larger amount of cyclic oligomers was formed from the structural flexible L ‐ Gn dendrimers. A model was proposed to rationalize how the geometry and size of the platinum linker could control the copolymerization behaviours of these dendritic macromonomers.  相似文献

Another new substance from the family of Pt‐based coordination complexes with potential use in cancer chemotherapy has been synthesized, crystallized and structurally characterized. In this compound {systematic name cis‐dibromido[(1R,2R)‐cyclohexane‐1,2‐diamine‐κ2N,N′]platinum(II)}, cis‐[PtBr2(C6H14N2)], there are two molecules with very similar conformations in the asymmetric unit. The component species interact by way of N—H...Br and C—H...Br hydrogen bonds to give two‐dimensional networks which lie parallel to the (100) plane.  相似文献

Chirally functionalized hollow nanospheres with different surface properties were successfully synthesized by co‐condensation of (2S,1′R,2′R)‐Ntert‐butyloxycarbonylpyrrolidine‐2‐carboxylic acid [2′‐(4‐trimethoxysilylbenzylamide)cyclohexyl] amide with 1,2‐bis(trimethoxysilyl)ethane or tetramethoxysilane using F127 (EO106PO70EO106) as surfactant in water. The TEM and N2 sorption characterizations show that the particle size of the hollow nanosphere is 15–21 nm with a core diameter of 10–16 nm. These L ‐prolinamide‐functionalized hollow nanospheres are highly efficient solid catalysts for the direct asymmetric aldol reaction between cyclohexanone and aromatic aldehydes. It was found that the addition of water in the reaction system not only enhanced the catalytic activity but also increased the enantioselectivity, which is probably due to the enhanced hydrogen bond between the amide oxygen atom and the hydroxyl group of water. Moreover, the catalytic activity increases sharply as the surface hydrophobicity of the hollow nanospheres increases. These hollow nanospheres are quite stable and can be reused with almost the same enantioselectivity and only a slight decrease in catalytic activity.  相似文献

Two generations of lipophilic pyrenyl functionalized poly(benzyl ether) dendrimers (P1 and P2) have been synthesized. The thermal properties of the two functionalized dendrimers have been investigated, and the pyrenyl group of the dendritic molecules encapsulated in the arene–ruthenium metalla‐cage, [Ru6(p‐cymene)6(tpt)2(donq)3]6+ ([ 1 ]6+) (tpt=2,4,6‐tri(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1,3,5‐triazine; donq=5,8‐dioxydo‐1,4‐naphthoquinonato). The host–guest properties of [P1⊂ 1 ]6+ and [P2⊂ 1 ]6+ were studied in solution by NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopic methods, thus allowing the determination of the affinity constants. Moreover, the cytotoxicity of these water‐soluble host–guest systems was evaluated on human ovarian cancer cells.  相似文献

Ten methyl 2‐methoxyimino‐2‐{2‐[(substituted benzylidene)aminooxymethyl]phenyl}acetate and 2‐methoxy‐ imino‐2‐{2‐[(substituted benzylidene)aminooxymethyl]phenyl}‐N‐methylacetamide derivatives were synthesized. Structures of the new compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and GC‐MS data. These compounds at 10 µg/mL were tested in vitro against five pathogenic fungi, namely, Sclerotonia, Botrytis cinerea Pers, Gibberella zeae, Rhizoctorua solani and Pyricularia oryzae. Compounds G5 , G6 , G7 and G8 showed potent antifungal activities against Botrytis cinerea Pers, G7 against Gibberella zeae and G7 , G8 against Rhizoctorua solani, respectively.  相似文献

On the basis of the concept of mesogen‐jacketed liquid crystalline polymers, a series of new methacrylate monomers, (2,5‐bis[2‐(4′‐alkoxyphenyl) ethynyl] benzyl methacrylate (MACn, n = 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12) and 2,5‐bis[2‐(6′‐decanoxynaphthyl) ethynyl] benzyl methacrylate (MANC10), and their polymers, PMACn (n = 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12) and PMANC10 were synthesized. The bistolane mesogen with large π‐electron conjugation were side‐attached to the polymer backbone via short linkages. Various characterization techniques such as differential scanning calorimetry, wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction, and polarized light microscopy were used to study their mesomorphic phase behavior. The polymer PMACn with shorter flexible substituents (n = 4) forms the columnar nematic (?N) phase, but other polymers with longer flexible tails (n = 6, 8, 10, and 12) can develop into a smetic A (SA) phase instead of a ?N phase. Ester‐terminated polyamide dendrimers up to the third generation and amide‐terminated polyamide dendrimers of the first generation were synthesized by convergent growth. The Williamson ether synthesis and diphenylphosphoryl azide (DPPA) coupling of amines to carboxylic acids were used for the construction of the dendrimers, having alternate ether and amide generations. The methyl ester‐ and N,N‐diethylamide‐terminated dendrimers were readily soluble in common organic solvents while the N‐methylamide‐ and N‐benzylamide‐terminated dendrimers were soluble only in DMF and DMSO. Both the end and internal amide groups of the N,N‐diethylamide‐terminated dendrimer were reduced by LiAlH4 to form a polyamine dendrimer. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. New hyperbranched hydrophobic cross‐linkers with peripheral azide groups were synthesized as follows: First, star‐shaped polycaprolactones (sPCL) were synthesized by ring‐opening polymerization of caprolactone in the presence of pentaerythritol and tin (II) octoate. In the next step, sequential acrylation, Micheal addition, tosylation, and azidation by acryloyl chloride, diethanol amine, tosyl chloride, and sodium azide were respectively exploited to synthesize azide‐functionalized hyperbranched star‐shaped polycaprolactones which were named sPCL‐acrylate‐diethanolamine‐azide (sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐N3) and sPCL‐acrylate‐diethanolamine‐acrylate‐diethanolamine‐azide (sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐AC‐N3). All steps were thoroughly characterized by FT‐IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The GPC analysis showed that the molecular weight of sPCL increased after two azide functionalizations. Amphiphilic hydrogels based on sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐N3 (Mn = 8130 g/mol) and sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐AC‐N3 (Mn = 10112 g/mol) with linear alkyne‐terminated polyethylene glycols (PEG) (Mn = 2000, 4000, and 6000 g/mol) were synthesized through click coupling between azide and alkyne groups. In both hydrogels, the swelling ratio increased by increasing the molecular weight of PEG. The obtained results showed that the branching of the cross‐linker, significantly affected the swelling ratio of hydrogels. For instance, the swelling ratio of sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐AC‐N3 and PEG‐6000 (Q = 900) was higher than sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐N3 and PEG‐6000 (Q = 600). Despite the high cross‐linking density of sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐AC‐DEA‐N3–based hydrogels, the amount of released theophylline was higher than sPCL‐AC‐DEA‐N3–based hydrogels, due to the high content of PEG in these hydrogels.  相似文献
