Gorenstein Cotilting and Tilting Modules

Auslander and Solberg introduced the concepts of finitely generated cotilting and tilting modules in relative homological algebra considering subfunctors of the Ext-functor. In this article we generalize Auslander–Solberg relative notions by giving the definitions of infinitely generated Gorenstein cotilting and tilting modules by means of Gorenstein exact sequences. Using the theory developed by Enochs on the existence of Gorenstein preenvelopes and precovers, we prove a characterization of relative Gorenstein cotilting and tilting modules, which is a generalization of the beautiful characterization of relative cotilting and tilting modules given by Bazzoni.

A necessary and sufficient condition for a finitely generated A-module to be ω-k-torsionfree is given and the extension closure of Tω^i is discussed. As applications, we give some results of ∧ωr related to l.id（ω） ≤ k.     

Cotilting modules are pure-injective

We prove that a cotilting module over an arbitrary ring is pure-injective.

     

Tilting Preenvelopes and Cotilting Precovers

We relate the theory of envelopes and covers to tilting and cotilting theory, for (infinitely generated) modules over arbitrary rings. Our main result characterizes tilting torsion classes as the pretorsion classes providing special preenvelopes for all modules. A dual characterization is proved for cotilting torsion-free classes using the new notion of a cofinendo module. We also construct unique representing modules for these classes.

Dualizing Modules for Orders and Artin Algebras

We provide a criterion for a -bimodule to be a dualizing module, where is an order over a commutative Gorenstein complete local domain of dim R=1. Using this criterion, we give examples of dualizing modules which are neither isomorphic to nor a dual of . Thus we can also give such examples over an Artin algebra by modulo a nonzerodivisor.

Submodule Structure of Generalized Verma Modules Induced from Generic Gelfand-Zetlin Modules

For complex Lie algebra sl(n, C) we study the submodule structure of generalized Verma modules induced from generic Gelfand-Zetlin modules over some subalgebra of type sl(k, C). We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a submodule generalizing the Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand theorem for Verma modules.

Capability of Crossed Modules of Lie Algebras

In this paper, we introduce the concept of capability for crossed modules of Lie algebras, which is a generalization of capability in Lie algebras and groups. By using a special central ideal of a crossed module, we give a sufficient condition for the capability of a crossed module of Lie algebras. Also, we will extend the five-term exact sequence on homology of crossed modules of Lie algebras one term further and study the connection between the capability of crossed modules and this sequence. Finally, we study the relation between the capability and the center of a cover of a crossed module.

Quasi-d-Koszul Modules and Applications

Let R be a Noetherian semiperfect algebra. A necessary and sufficient condition for a finitely generated R-module to be quasi-d-Koszul is given, which improves one of the main results in [1]. The authors also give a necessary and sufficient condition for the Minimal Horseshoe Lemma holding in mod（R）. As an application, it is proved that the ＂Minimal Horseshoe Lemma＂ is true in the category of quasi-d-Koszul modules under certain conditions.     

On Indecomposable Exceptional Modules Over Gentle Algebras

We give a characterization of indecomposable exceptional modules over finite dimensional gentle algebras. As an application, we study gentle algebras arising from an unpunctured surface and show that a class of indecomposable modules related to curves without self-intersections, as exceptional modules, are uniquely determined by their dimension vectors.

Complements to Projective Almost Complete Tilting Modules

ABSTRACT

An equivalent version of the Generalized Nakayama Conjecture states that any projective almost complete tilting module admits a finite number of non-isomorphic indecomposable complements. Motivated by this connection, we investigate the number of possible complements of projective almost complete tilting modules for some particular classes of Artin algebras, namely monomial algebras and algebras with exactly two simple modules.     

Characters of Simple Bounded Modules over an Untwisted Affine Lie Algebra

After V. Chari and A. Pressley, a simple integrable module with finite-dimensional weight spaces over an affine Lie algebra is either a standard module (highest or lowest weight), in which case its formal character is given by the famous Weyl–Kac formula, or a subquotient of a tensor product of loop modules. In this paper we compute formal characters of generic simple integrable modules of the latter type.     

The Admissibility of Simple Bounded Modules for an Affine Lie Algebra

This paper studies a class of simple integrable modules for an affine Lie algebras which are closely related to the finite-dimensional modules studied by V. Chari and A. Pressley, except that the Euler element is assumed to act. They are infinite-dimensional; but are shown to have finite-dimensional weight spaces. It is conjectured that any simple integrable module with a zero weight space belongs to this class and their classification is given. The main interest in studying such modules is that they may occur in the endomorphism rings of highest weight modules whilst those of Chari and Pressley in general do not. Their character theory is also more complicated.
