A new isomeric state in237Np has been discovered at an excitation energy of (945.3±0.2) keV withT 1/2 =(711±40) ns. Six gamma-ray lines have been measured depopulating the isomeric state to known levels in237Np. The comparison of the measured absolute gamma-ray transition probabilities with empirical values yields as most probable spinI andK assignmentI=K=13/2 for this isomeric state. It is most likely a 1-proton-2-neutron quasiparticle state 13/2?π5/2+ [642] +ν7/2? [743] + ν 1/2+ [631]. However, a one-quasiparticle 11/2? [505] configuration for the isomer cannot be excluded.  相似文献

The half-lives of the following intrinsic states in deformed odd-mass nuclei has been measured by delayed coincidences with a time-to-amplitude converter:
  1. 5/2 5/2+[642] at 86.5 keV in155Gd:T 1/2=6.7±0.3 ns, which results in the determination of theE1,ΔK=1 transition probability to the ground state 3/2 3/2?[521] and first rotational state 5/2 3/2?[521], yielding hindrance factors ofF N ≈5.5 and ≈1.8 (F W =3.1×104 and 2.3×104) respectively.
  2. (3) 5/2 5/2?[512] at 191.4 keV in169Yb:T 1/2=3.35±0.15 ns and at 122.39 keV in171Yb:T 1/2=265±20 ns which results in the determination of the transition probabilities of theE1,ΔK=1 transitions to the ground states 7/2 7/2+[633], of theK-forbiddenM1 transitions to the 5/2 and 3/2 1/2?[521] and of theE2 transitions to the 5/2, 3/2 and 1/2 1/2?[521] states in both nuclei.
TheE1 transition probabilities are compared to the transitions between the same Nilsson states in173Yb and175Hf discussing the influence of the position of the Fermi surface — obtained from recent stripping and pick-up reactions — on these transition probabilities. Additional information on the decay scheme of171Lu→171Yb is obtained by delayed coincidence measurements. For testing the used time-to-amplitude converter the well known half-lives of the 482 keV level in181Ta (T 1/2=10.4±0.3 ns) and of the 279 keV level in203Tl (T 1/2=0.285 ±0.015 ns) were measured, in good agreement with other measurements.  相似文献

Theβ ?-decay of 66 167 Dy produced through the fast neutron reaction170Er(n, α)167Dy has been investigated by using several kinds of detectors and a high-capacity two-parameter recording system. The half-life andβ ?-decay energy of167Dy were determined to beT 1/2 = 6.20 ± 0.08min andQ β-=2.35±0.06, respectively. The observed level scheme of 67 167 Ho (completely unknown previously) contains 12 states, among them a 6.0±0.1 μsM2 isomer at 259.3 keV. On the basis of theoretical and systematic considerations combined with multipole determinations, the following Nilsson model assignments are proposed for the lowest states of167Ho: 0 keV (7?/2 [523]), 259.3 keV (3+/2[411]), 319.8 keV (5/2 3+/2[411]), 392.5 keV (1+/2[411]), 410.0 keV (3/2 1+/2[411]), 569.7 keV (3?/2{7?/2[523], 2+}). Theβ-decay proceeds mainly to the proposed gamma-vibrational state at 569.7 keV with an anomalously low logft value 5.4, indicating similarity between the microscopic structures of this state and the famous ¦K 0?2¦ gamma vibration of165Ho.  相似文献

TheΒ ?-decay of the longer-lived170Ho isomer produced through the170Er(n, p)170Ho reaction has been investigated by using a versastile detector and coincidence equipment. The half-life andΒ ?-decay energy were determined to beT 1/2=2.76±0.05 min andQ β =3.85±0.15 MeV, respectively. In addition to the ground state band and some higher energy levels, the proposed level scheme of170Er contains 11 states between 1.0 and 1.6 MeV (6 new ones), which are connected mutually by previously unknown low-energy transitions. Spin and/or parity assignments based mainly on coincidence data and multipolarity determinations are suggested for most of these states. By using systematic considerations and the nuclear projection model calculations several bands withK≧2 can be assigned tentatively. As a side result the half-life of169Ho was determined to be 4.7 ±0.2 min.  相似文献

The decay of125m Xe produced by the reaction122Te(α, n)125m Xe using a target enriched in122Te (95.4%) and the decay of127m Xe produced by the reaction127J(d, 2n)127m Xe have been investigated: 125m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(56±3) sec by ayy- cascade withE γ1=(140.4 ±0.5) keV andE γ2=(110.5 ±0.5) keV. The experimental conversion coefficients yield multipolarities ofE3 for the 140.4 keV isomeric transition and predominantlyM1 for the 110.5 keV-transition. 127m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(71±2) sec. The decay also proceeds by aγγ-cascade with an isomeric E3 transition ofE γ1=(172.5±0.3) keV and a predominantlyM1 transition ofE γ2=(124.6±0.3) keV. In the decay of127g Xe an additional branching of the electron capture to a level at (618.1±0.3) keV was observed. The relative probability forK-captureP K618/PK375=0.40 ±0.07 yields a total transition energyQ EC=(664 ±4)keV. A spin of 1/2+ was assigned to the ground state.  相似文献

The half-life of the first excited state at 37.1 keV in121Sb has been measured using the technique of delayed coincidences with a time to amplitude converter. Scintillators with fast timing properties have been used in various combinations. From 17 independent measurements a result for the half-life ofT 1/2=(3.46±0.03) ns has been obtained and this is compared with previously published values.  相似文献

Using methods of in-beam spectroscopy in connection with 35 MeV7Li bombardment of82Se targets four new isomers have been identified. They are observed in83Br at 3070 keV (T1/2=0.6±0.2 μs), in85Rb at 2826 keV (T1/2=12.5±0.6 ns), in85Kr at 1991 keV (T1/2=1.2+ 0.4 1.0 μs) and in86Kr at 2250 keV (T1/2=3.1±0.6 ns). Spin and parity 19/2? have been assigned to the new isomer in85Rb that is interpreted as the coupling of a p3/2 proton to the g 9 2/?2 two-neutron excitation of the N=48 neutron system. Using the TDPAD method an upper limit for the g-factor of ¦g¦≦0.17 has been estimated for this isomer. The same two-neutron excitation is also believed to be responsible for the new isomer in83Br. The new isomers in85Kr and86Kr are interpreted as configurations containing the two-proton excitation (f 5 2/?1 , p 3 2/?1 ) where in the isomeric 17/2+ level of85Kr an additional g9/2 neutron hole is involved.  相似文献

86mRb was produced by irradiation of natural Rb and Rb enriched in87Rb (99.2%) with fast neutrons. The half-life ofT 1/2=(61.2±1.0) sec and the energy ofE ρ=(556.03±0.25) keV were remeasured. The experimental conversion coefficients αtot=0.0184±0.0015 andα K =0.0158±0.0015 yield the multipolarity of E4 for the isomeric transition. The spin of 6? was assigned to the isomeric state. It is proposed that the spin 6? is formed by coupling ap 3/2-proton and ag 9/2-neutron according to Nordheim's “weak” rule.  相似文献

Changes of the radioactive decay rate of71Ge (T 1/2=11.43 days) have been studied experimentally for71Ge in some compounds of bivalent and quadrivalent germanium. Relative changes Δλ/λ of the electron capture probability have been measured, and the chemical changes Δρ(0) of the electron density at the germanium nuclei have been determined from these measurements. Values for the Mössbauer isomer shift calibration constants for the 67 keV γ-transition of73Ge have been estimated:C=δ/Δρ(0)=(0.061±0.020) mm·s?1/a.u., Δ〈r 2〉=(21±7)·10?3 fm2, ΔR/R=(6.9±2.3)·10?4.  相似文献

The half-life of a 3? excited state in106Ag was measured as T1/2 (364.4 keV)=0.9±0.1 ns using the103Rh(α, n)106Ag reaction. The intramultiplet transition rate B(M1, 3?→2?) indicates that the configuration π(g9/2)0 ?2π(p1/2)?1 vd5/2 can be assigned. A low-lying 3+ isomer, as known in108,110Ag, was not found in106Ag, what is explained by the raising energy of the vd3/2 shell with decreasing neutron number. For the 6? bandhead of a rotational-like structure T1/2 (765.2 keV)< 0.2 ns was derived in contradiction to an earlier prediction (200 ns). Indirect evidence for a negative sign of the magnetic moment of105Ag (g.s.) is obtained.  相似文献

An isomeric state of Hf177 withT 1/2=(1,12±0,10)s was found by a fast chemical separation of the hafnium daughter from the 155d Lu177m activity. We measured the same half-life by observing the delayedβ-γ-coincidences. A systematic investigation of the whole region 5s≧T 1/2≧10?7s by the technique of delayed coincidences gave no further isomerism. We assign the observed half-life to the 23/2 three particle state of Hf177 at 1315 keV and assume that the second hypothetical three particle state at 1337 keV does not exist. The 21/2 rotational state of theK=9/2 band is populated by a strongly converted 14,16 keVγ-transition from the isomeric state at 1315 keV. The 14,16 keVM I andN I conversion lines were observed by use of a double focusing magneticβ-spectrometer. The isomerism is caused by theK-selection rule. The retardation of the following threeγ-transitions by different degrees ofK-forbiddeness is discussed. The pulse height spectrum, measured by means of a Li-drifted Ge-detector, does not show the 36,52 keV-γ-transition which was previously assumed to populate the 1301keV-state. In addition to the knownγ-transitions we found a 40,9 keV-line. This is probably the transition between the 1301,1 keV and the 1260,3 keV-states.  相似文献

The half-life of the 53.2 keV level in214Bi has been measured asT 1/2=0.52±0.15 ns, furtherT 1/2(295.2 keV and 351.9 keV levels)≦0.10 ns was estimated. TheB(M1,2?→1?) transition rates within theπh 9/2 vg 9/2 multiplet in210,212,214Bi are found to decrease rapidly with increasing neutron number, reaching in214Bi a value as low as those typical for intraband M1 transitions in deformed odd-odd nuclei.  相似文献

Using a Ge(Li)-Si (Li)-spectrometer the 161 keV and 223 keV transitions of133Cs were investigated. TheK-conversion coefficients were deduced to beα K =0.205±0.007 andK-conversion coefficients were deduced to beα K =0.0743±0.0043, respectively. TheK/L ratio for the 161 keV transition is 4.72±0.37. From theK-conversion coefficients were deduced to beα K -values,M1 penetration factors ofλ=8.6±3.4 andλ=7.8 ?2.8 3.0 were deduced which are inconsistent with known data from angular correlation experiments (λ=40±10 andλ=90±13). The penetration factor fromK/L-measurement for the 161 keV-transition isλ=52±19. A theoretical reinvestigation of the formulas used in the literature appears recommendable. Furthermore, theK/L ratio of the 1770 keV transition of207Pb was determined experimentally to be 5.52±0.54.  相似文献

The lifetimes of several negative-parity states in126,130Xe and132Ba have been determined by means of the generalized centroid-shift method. The reactions124,128Te(α,2n) and122Sn(13C, 3n) have been used. Following results were obtained:T 1/2(2758 keV)=1.3±0.2 ns in126Xe,T 1/2(2060 keV)=0.20±0.10 ns,T 1/2(2104 keV)=0.50±0.10 ns,T 1/2(2376 keV)=0.30±0.10 ns andT 1/2(2973 keV)=4.6±0.4 ns in130Xe as well asT 1/2(2120 keV)=0.40 ?0.10 +0.20 ns in132Ba. A systematics of the B(E2; 7 ? 1 ?5 1 ? ) values in theN=76 nuclei is presented. Electric dipole and quadrupole transition rates are discussed in terms of octupole and quadrupole collectivity. The structure of the 5 1 ? and 7 1 ? states is considered. Nuclear reactions:124,128Te(α, 2 n ),E=26 MeV,122Sn (13C, 3n),E=53 MeV; measuredE γ I γ , γ-r.f. DeducedT 1/2, B(σL) in126,130Xe and132Ba. The productP K ω K of theK-capture probability and theK-fluorescence yieldω K was measured in the EC decay of 17.7 y145Pm and 60.14d125I by means ofK x-ray-γ-ray coincidences with semiconductor detectors. Accepting a best value ofω K =0.920 forZ=60 from the literature, values ofP K =0.606±0.025 and 0.554±0.025 for decay of145Pm to the 67.2 and 72.4 keV levels in145Nd, respectively, were determined, from which the application of EC theory givesQ EC=153±4 keV to the ground state. TheP K ω K ratio to the 67.2 and 72.4 keV levels also was determined independently to be 1.11±0.01, which serves as a good check on theγ-ray-gatedP K values. Theγ-ray energies were determined more accurately to be 72.4±0.1 and 67.2±0.1 keV, together with a ratio of their relative intensities,I 72.4/I 67.2=3.35±0.09. In the decay of125I, a value ofP K ω K =0.699±0.030 was measured, and by using an independent determination ofQ EC=178±2 keV to the ground-state from the literature, a value ofP K=0.801 is calculated from allowed EC theory, from whichω K =0.873±0.017 atZ=52 is obtained. This value is in good agreement with theoretical values and with a value of 0.875±0.028 predicted by the best fit curve of Bambyneket al.  相似文献

The half-life of the 184.3 keV state in165Dy has been remeasured asT 1/2=1.0±0.1 ns in order to deduce a reliable value for the transition matrix element of the depopulatingE l,ΔK=1 transition. Experimental E1,ΔK=1 transition matrix elements in odd-odd deformed nuclei are found to be systematically larger than similar values in adjacent odd-A isotones. This effect is supposed to be associated with higher-order vibrational admixtures coupled via RPC andp— n interaction mixings.  相似文献
