Symbol-pair codes are proposed to guard against pair-errors in symbol-pair read channels. The minimum symbol-pair distance is of significance in determining the error-correcting capability of a symbol-pair code. One of the central themes in symbol-pair coding theory is the constructions of symbol-pair codes with the largest possible minimum symbol-pair distance. Maximum distance separable (MDS) and almost maximum distance separable (AMDS) symbol-pair codes are optimal and sub-optimal regarding the Singleton bound, respectively. In this paper, six new classes of AMDS symbol-pair codes are explicitly constructed through repeated-root cyclic codes. Remarkably, one class of such codes has unbounded lengths and the minimum symbol-pair distance of another class can reach 13.  相似文献

Symbol-pair codes introduced by Cassuto and Blaum in 2010 are designed to protect against the pair errors in symbol-pair read channels. One of the central themes in symbol-error correction is the construction of maximal distance separable (MDS) symbol-pair codes that possess the largest possible pair-error correcting performance. Based on repeated-root cyclic codes, we construct two classes of MDS symbol-pair codes for more general generator polynomials and also give a new class of almost MDS (AMDS) symbol-pair codes with the length lp. In addition, we derive all MDS and AMDS symbol-pair codes with length 3p, when the degree of the generator polynomials is no more than 10. The main results are obtained by determining the solutions of certain equations over finite fields.  相似文献

In this paper we construct MDS Euclidean and Hermitian self-dual codes which are extended cyclic duadic codes or negacyclic codes. We also construct Euclidean self-dual codes which are extended negacyclic codes. Based on these constructions, a large number of new MDS self-dual codes are given with parameters for which self-dual codes were not previously known to exist.  相似文献

The MacWilliams Extension Theorem states that each linear isometry of a linear code extends to a monomial map. Unlike the linear codes, in general, nonlinear codes do not have the extension property. In our previous work, in the context of a vector space alphabet, the minimum code length, for which there exists an unextendable code isometry, was determined. In this paper an analogue of the extension theorem for MDS codes is proved. It is shown that for almost all, except 2-dimensional, linear MDS codes over a vector space alphabet the extension property holds. For the case of 2-dimensional MDS codes an improvement of our general result is presented. There are also observed extension properties of near-MDS codes. As an auxiliary result, a new bound on the minimum size of multi-fold partitions of a vector space is obtained.  相似文献

Quantum maximum-distance-separable (MDS) codes are an important class of quantum codes. In this paper, we mainly apply a new method of classical Hermitian self-orthogonal codes to construct three classes of new quantum MDS codes, and these quantum MDS codes provide large minimum distance.  相似文献

In this work, we present new families of MDS linear complementary dual codes with respect to Hermitian inner product. As an application, we construct new families of MDS maximal entanglement entanglement-assisted quantum codes.  相似文献

Galois inner product is a generalization of the Euclidean inner product and Hermitian inner product. The theory on linear codes under Galois inner product can be applied in the constructions of MDS codes and quantum error-correcting codes. In this paper, we construct Galois self-dual codes and MDS Galois self-dual codes from extensions of constacyclic codes. First, we explicitly determine all the Type II splittings leading to all the Type II duadic constacyclic codes in two cases. Second, we propose methods to extend two classes of constacyclic codes to obtain Galois self-dual codes, and we also provide existence conditions of Galois self-dual codes which are extensions of constacyclic codes. Finally, we construct some (almost) MDS Galois self-dual codes using the above results. Some Galois self-dual codes and (almost) MDS Galois self-dual codes obtained in this paper turn out to be new.  相似文献

Quantum maximum distance separable (MDS) codes form a significant class of quantum codes. In this paper, by using Hermitian self-orthogonal generalized Reed–Solomon codes, we construct two new classes of q-ary quantum MDS codes, which have minimum distance greater than q2. Most of these quantum MDS codes are new in the sense that their parameters are not covered by the codes available in the literature.  相似文献

In this paper, we generalize the linear complementary dual codes (LCD codes for short) to k-Galois LCD codes, and study them by a uniform method. A necessary and sufficient condition for linear codes to be k-Galois LCD codes is obtained, two classes of k-Galois LCD MDS codes are exhibited. Then, necessary and sufficient conditions for λ-constacyclic codes being k-Galois LCD codes are characterized. Some classes of k-Galois LCD λ-constacyclic MDS codes are constructed. Finally, we study Hermitian LCD λ-constacyclic codes, and present a class of Hermitian LCD λ-constacyclic MDS codes.  相似文献

In this paper, a Roos like bound on the minimum distance for skew cyclic codes over a general field is provided. The result holds in the Hamming metric and in the rank metric. The proofs involve arithmetic properties of skew polynomials and an analysis of the rank of parity-check matrices. For the rank metric case, a way to arithmetically construct codes with a prescribed minimum rank distance, using the skew Roos bound, is also given. Moreover, some examples of MDS codes and MRD codes over finite fields are built, using the skew Roos bound.  相似文献

The determination of the weight distribution of linear codes has been a fascinating problem since the very beginning of coding theory. There has been a lot of research on weight enumerators of special cases, such as self-dual codes and codes with small Singleton's defect. We propose a new set of linear relations that must be satisfied by the coefficients of the weight distribution. From these relations we are able to derive known identities (in an easier way) for interesting cases, such as extremal codes, Hermitian codes, MDS and NMDS codes. Moreover, we are able to present for the first time the weight distribution of AMDS codes. We also discuss the link between our results and the Pless equations.  相似文献

Polycyclic codes are a powerful generalization of cyclic and constacyclic codes. Their algebraic structure is studied here by the theory of invariant subspaces from linear algebra. As an application, a bound on the minimum distance of these codes is derived which outperforms, in some cases, the natural analogue of the BCH bound.  相似文献

Invented in the 1960s, permutation codes have reemerged in recent years as a topic of great interest because of properties making them attractive for certain modern technological applications, especially flash memory. In 2011 a polynomial time algorithm called linear programming (LP) decoding was introduced for a class of permutation codes where the feasible set of codewords was a subset of the vertex set of a code polytope. In this paper we investigate a new class of linear constraints for matrix polytopes with no fractional vertices through a new concept called “consolidation.” We then introduce a necessary and sufficient condition for which LP decoding methods, originally designed for the Euclidean metric, may be extended to provide an efficient decoding algorithm for permutation codes with the Kendall tau metric.  相似文献

Linear codes with complementary duals (abbreviated LCD) are linear codes whose intersection with their dual is trivial. When they are binary, they play an important role in armoring implementations against side-channel attacks and fault injection attacks. Non-binary LCD codes in characteristic 2 can be transformed into binary LCD codes by expansion. On the other hand, being optimal codes, maximum distance separable codes (abbreviated MDS) are of much interest from many viewpoints due to their theoretical and practical properties. However, little work has been done on LCD MDS codes. In particular, determining the existence of q-ary [nk] LCD MDS codes for various lengths n and dimensions k is a basic and interesting problem. In this paper, we firstly study the problem of the existence of q-ary [nk] LCD MDS codes and solve it for the Euclidean case. More specifically, we show that for \(q>3\) there exists a q-ary [nk] Euclidean LCD MDS code, where \(0\le k \le n\le q+1\), or, \(q=2^{m}\), \(n=q+2\) and \(k= 3 \text { or } q-1\). Secondly, we investigate several constructions of new Euclidean and Hermitian LCD MDS codes. Our main techniques in constructing Euclidean and Hermitian LCD MDS codes use some linear codes with small dimension or codimension, self-orthogonal codes and generalized Reed-Solomon codes.  相似文献

Cyclic codes are an interesting type of linear codes and have wide applications in communication and storage systems due to their efficient encoding and decoding algorithms. It was proved that asymptotically good Hermitian LCD codes exist. The objective of this paper is to construct some cyclic Hermitian LCD codes over finite fields and analyse their parameters. The dimensions of these codes are settled and the lower bounds on their minimum distances are presented. Most Hermitian LCD codes presented in this paper are not BCH codes.  相似文献

Regarding quasi-cyclic codes as certain polynomial matrices, we show that all reversible quasi-cyclic codes are decomposed into reversible linear codes of shorter lengths corresponding to the coprime divisors of the polynomials with the form of one minus x to the power of m. This decomposition brings us an efficient method to construct reversible quasi-cyclic codes. We also investigate the reversibility and the self-duality of the linear codes corresponding to the coprime divisors of the polynomials. Specializing to the cases where the number of cyclic sections is not more than two, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the divisors of the polynomials for which the self-dual codes are reversible and the reversible codes of half-length-dimension are self-dual. Our theorems are utilized to search reversible self-dual quasi-cyclic codes with two cyclic sections over binary and quaternary fields of lengths up to seventy and thirty-six, respectively, together with the maximums of their minimum weights.  相似文献

Cyclic subspace codes gained a lot of attention especially because they may be used in random network coding for correction of errors and erasures. Roth, Raviv and Tamo in 2018 established a connection between cyclic subspace codes (with certain parameters) and Sidon spaces. These latter objects were introduced by Bachoc, Serra and Zémor in 2017 in relation with the linear analogue of Vosper's Theorem. This connection allowed Roth, Raviv and Tamo to construct large classes of cyclic subspace codes with one or more orbits. In this paper we will investigate cyclic subspace codes associated to a set of Sidon spaces, that is cyclic subspace codes with more than one orbit. Moreover, we will also use the geometry of linear sets to provide some bounds on the parameters of a cyclic subspace code. Conversely, cyclic subspace codes are used to construct families of linear sets which extend a class of linear sets recently introduced by Napolitano, Santonastaso, Polverino and the author. This yields large classes of linear sets with a special pattern of intersection with the hyperplanes, defining rank metric and Hamming metric codes with only three distinct weights.  相似文献
