In this paper the characteristics of the output beam of a toric unstable resonator are investigated. Based on the Fresnel–Kirchhof integral and using numerical methods, the performance of toric unstable resonators is simulated and its output beam characteristics are also evaluated. Geometrical resonator parameters, i.e. Fresnel number and magnification as well as the output coupler diameter, are considered in this investigation. The radial and azimuthal modes of the resonator are calculated and the modal behavior of the resonator is described according to geometrical parameters. The power extraction for each specific laser mode has also been inspected by calculating the finesse factor. Using an iteration mode convergence diagram, the mode discrimination of the resonator is investigated.  相似文献

本文从菲涅耳衍射积分公式出发研究了激光器非稳腔输出环状光束在空间的传输规律.由轴上光强的极值点位置给出了划分非稳腔传输空间的近场、中场和远场区域公式.理论计算结果表明,非稳腔输出端环状光束在中场区域激光能量逐渐向轴心方向转移,而在远场变为爱里型圆盘状光束的过程.在非稳腔脉冲TEA CO_2激光器上测得的实验结果与理论计算结果很好地符合.  相似文献

 利用Prony[1]方法计算均匀相位输出耦合镜非稳腔的输出模场分布及远场方向性,分析了模式分辨率和光束远场发散角与系统各参数之间的关系, 理论计算得到的结果表明,可以在小放大倍率(M=1.3)情况下得到质量达到衍射极限的输出光束,与传统非稳腔比较,这种新型的谐振腔在改善氧碘化学激光器光束质量方面有一定的应用前景。  相似文献

为了提高光束质量、压缩光束发散角,利用现有高功率稳定腔TEA CO2激光器进行了非稳谐振腔的技术改造及激光输出试验,非稳谐振腔采用正分支虚共焦型非稳腔方案。为充分研究谐振腔结构参数及激光振荡模体积对输出能量和光束发散角的影响,共设计加工了包含4种放大率、5种模体积的20组非稳腔腔镜组合。在其它参数都相同的试验条件下,进行了非稳腔镜的单脉冲输出对比试验,得到的最大输出能量为14 J,是原平凹稳定腔的70%,而光束发散角只是原平凹稳定腔的1/4。  相似文献

将kHz高功率固体激光器增益介质当作厚透镜处理,建立了热透镜效应分析的理论模型,使用矩阵的方法对等效热透镜腔进行分析.对增益介质抽运均匀性进行了改善,通过分析模拟计算结果,设计了混合非稳腔结构,选择了最佳凸面镜曲率半径对热透镜效应进行补偿.试验结果表明,补偿效果明显,kHz高功率全固态激光器的光束发散角优于1.3 mrad.  相似文献

实验研究了注入控制对铜蒸气激光非稳腔输出光束质量的影响,从输出光发散角时间分辨过程的测量结果说明注入加速被注入腔内激光发散角的减小过程。由于被注入腔内放大自发辐射的存在,为得到较好的注入控制效果,注入光的脉宽和进入被注入腔的延时必须恰当。  相似文献

对Du Fort-Frankel差分格式用于谐振腔模式计算进行简要分析,以该差分格式为基础,提出基于移动矩阵法的非稳腔模式数值计算快速算法.对空腔共焦非稳腔模式进行数值模拟,将计算结果与参考文献进行对比,两者吻合较好.对有源共焦非稳谐振腔内增益区位置对谐振腔输出功率的影响进行数值计算,结果表明:对于采用共焦非稳腔的大功率激光器,当增益体积一定、小信号增益曲线相同时,随着谐振腔内增益区与凹面镜之间的距离的减小,激光器输出功率会有较为明显的提高.数值算例证明了本文方法的正确性和有效性.  相似文献

The conventional unstable resonator and a novel toric unstable resonator, in both confocal and nonconfocal configurations, have been studied. 为了将虚共焦非稳腔输出光束质量高和角锥棱镜谐振腔具有免调试的优点结合到一起,提出了用球面角锥棱镜构成虚共焦非稳腔的方案。利用已有虚共焦非稳腔钕玻璃激光器,设计加工了一球面角锥棱镜非稳腔钕玻璃激光器。模拟计算了两谐振腔输出光束的模式分布,然后对两钕玻璃激光器进行了实验对比研究。结果表明:实验得到的模式分布与模拟计算结果相吻合,球面角锥棱镜非稳腔钕玻璃激光器与虚共焦非稳腔钕玻璃激光器分别获得了最大2176.9J和2340.6J的能量输出,二者的电光效率与束散基本相同,分别为4.3%,0.30mrad和4.6%,0.26mrad。  相似文献

大口径谐振腔式固体激光定标到足够高功率后,由于非稳定腔内激光不对称振荡导致介质上激光强度横向不均匀,激光提取与介质产热耦合会引起激光输出功率和光束质量在时域上的不稳定性。针对三种激光器构型:Nd:YAG薄片、Yb:YAG薄片和浸入式液冷叠片激光器,通过理论分析与数值模拟揭示了其各自不同的光热耦合机制及其影响因素,给出了激光输出的瞬态演化规律。结果表明,前两种构型中基于激光动力学的光热耦合具有饱和效应,其动力学不稳定性只出现在特定参数区间,可以通过恰当的设计加以避免;第三种构型中动力学不稳定性表现出明显的阈值特征,在强光状态下只能通过减少冷却液吸收系数来抑制。  相似文献

建立了燃烧驱动环柱型高能化学激光器环形增益介质的五种分布模型,使用差分和积分相结合的方法计算了束变换环孔腔在不同增益分布和折射率分布时的模式特征,研究了增益分布和折射率分布对束变换环孔腔输出性能的影响,结果表明束变换环孔腔在不同的增益介质及折射率分布情况下,仍然可以保持良好的输出光束质量,很高的提取效率,在化学激光器增益流存在激波扰动的情况下,输出光场的施特雷尔比仍达到0.8991,同时腔镜上光强分布较为均匀,可以避免镜面因热应力分布不均匀而造成镜面变形和破坏。该腔不但适用于高能化学激光器,也可以用于高能固体激光器,起到克服固体增益介质热畸变与热应力的作用,可获得优良的输出光束质量。  相似文献

We report a tunable stimulated-Brillouin-scattering resonator that does not require a starting mirror or a wavelength selector. The resonator is based on the Bragg scattering from the dynamic grating within the active medium itself. The laser dye (Rhodamine 6G dissolved in ethanol) was utilized as the active medium and was pumped by a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser. The quality factor (M(2)) of the output beam was 2.2. A single short pulse (<1 ns) with a pumping efficiency of ~4% was observed.  相似文献

Field characteristics and beam quality of confocal positive branch unstable resonator under some practical imperfections has been investigated. Based on Fresnel-Kirchhoff integral, the near and far field intensity of the resonator was calculated numerically. Using the second order moment method, the beam quality factor, M2 of the resonator was also calculated. Variety of practical distorting affects, mainly misalignment, off-axis, and thermal deflection of the mirrors, as well as gain non-uniformity were considered in these calculations. The results show that the beam quality factor is more sensitive to the off-axis and misalignment distortions while the non-uniform gain has significant effect only for unusual conditions. The effects of geometrical parameters, i.e. Fresnel number as well as magnification factor on the beam quality were also investigated.  相似文献

The evolution of relevant beam parameters of a light beam propagating through an iterated sequence of spherical lenses and Gaussian apertures immersed in an active medium is investigated. This structure is a classical model for an optical resonator. The effective size of the field distribution, the beam quality factor and the radius of wave front curvature are calculated as functions of the number of transits. Steady-state values of these parameters are also determined and the dependence of the results on the gain of the medium, the aperture width and the focal length is illustrated. A comparison with the case without active medium is also discussed.  相似文献

 针对激光器出光过程中腔内像差扰动带来的输出光束质量和光束能量下降问题,分析了腔内像差扰动对非稳腔模式的影响,并采用数值迭代法计算了理想情形和腔内像散扰动对无源正支共焦腔输出模式强度和相位分布的影响,进一步采用Zernike模式法对光束相位进行了像差拟合,得到了前35阶Zernike像差系数、点扩散函数(PSF)分布和环围能量曲线,计算了腔内像散扰动量与远场Strehl比的关系。结果表明:对小菲涅耳数正支共焦腔,腔内像散扰动对输出光束强度和相位分布均有明显影响,相位分布中一些高阶Zernike像差也有所增大。因此在进行腔内像差校正时,应优先考虑此类像差的校正。  相似文献

Experimental verification with a high-power Nd: YAG system proved that for unstable resonators the restricting relationship between beam quality and output power no longer holds. The operating characteristics of an unstable resonator Q-switched Nd-YAG laser are reported and its suitability for a number of applications has been tested. At repetition rates up to 50 Hz, output energies of 150–200 mJ are obtained with a beam divergence of 0.25 mrad half-angle. 非稳腔能产生大体积基模,具有好的空间选模特性,但在固体调Q激光器中,由于孔径光阑和热畸变的影响,非稳腔输出的横模并不光滑.使用高斯反射率耦合输出镜可较好地改善其输出光束质量,设计了平-凸非稳腔,使用Nd:YAG,电光调Q固体激光器进行实验,获得了较为平滑的远场光强分布,实验结果表明高斯反射率输出镜可较好地改善固体激光器中非稳腔输出光束质量.  相似文献
