The synthesis and magnetic properties of the oxalate-based molecular soluble magnets with general formula [K(18-crown-6)] 3[M (II) 3(H 2O) 4{M (III)(ox) 3} 3] (M (III) = Cr, Fe; M (II) = Mn, Fe, Ni, Co, Cu; ox = C 2O 4 (2-)) are here described. All the reported compounds are isostructural and built up by 2D bimetallic networks formed by alternating M (III) and M (II) ions connected through oxalate anions. Whereas the Cr (III)M (II) derivatives behave as ferromagnets with critical temperatures up to 8 K, the Fe (III)M (II) present ferri- or weak ferromagnetic ordering up to 26 K.  相似文献

The novel cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes with 4-(p-methoxyphenyl)-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (MOBPT) have been synthesized and their molecular structures determined by X-ray analysis, i.r. and by ESI-MS spectroscopy. The metal atom is in a distorted octahedral environment. Two bidentate chelating ligands (MOBPT) coordinate to the metal center equatorially and two water molecules coordinate axially. Each MOBPT entity coordinates via one triazole nitrogen and one pyridine nitrogen atom. Magnetic measurements show that the complexes are high-spin species in the 75–300 K range.  相似文献

The solid state structure of 1,1'-bis(verdazyl)ferrocene reveals the two radical moieties associated intramolecularly to give the first example of a pi-dimer of a stable verdazyl radical. The pi-dimer structure is not maintained in solution. Magnetic characterization indicates that the radicals are sufficiently strongly antiferromagnetically coupled so as to render the molecule diamagnetic at room temperature.  相似文献

Benzaldehyde 2-methyl-5-tetrazolylhydrazone was synthesized and converted to a formazan, which undergoes methylation at the exocyclic nitrogen atom on reaction with dimethyl sulfate. The reaction product undergoes cyclization to the 1-(2-methyl-5-tetrazolyl)-3,5-diphenylleucoverdazyl radical when it is heated. Tautomerism due to location of the proton at the N(2) or N(4) atom of the tetrazine ring is characteristic for the verdazyl radical, according to the PMR spectral data. A verdazyl radical was obtained by oxidation of the leucoverdazyl radical.See [1] for communication XVIII.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 991–995, July, 1978.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, and physical properties of a novel series of oxalate-based bimetallic magnets obtained by using the Ir(ppy)2(bpy)]+ cation as a template of the bimetallic [M(II)M(III)(ox)3]- network are reported. The compounds can be formulated as [Ir(ppy)2(bpy)][M(II)Cr(III)(ox)3] x 0.5 H2O (M(II) = Ni, Mn, Co, Fe, and Zn) and [Ir(ppy)2(bpy)]-[M(II)Fe(III)(ox)3] x 0.5 H2O (M(II) = Fe, Mn) and crystallize in the chiral cubic space group P4(1)32 or P4(3)32. They show the well-known 3D chiral structure formed by M(II) and M(III) ions connected through oxalate anions with [Ir(ppy)2(bpy)]+ cations and water molecules in the holes left by the oxalate network. The M(II)Cr(III) compounds behave as soft ferromagnets with ordering temperatures up to 13 K, while the Mn(II)Fe(III) and Fe(II)Fe(III) compounds behave as a weak ferromagnet and a ferrimagnet, respectively, with ordering temperatures of 31 and 28 K. These values represent the highest ordering temperatures so far reported in the family of 3D chiral magnets based on bimetallic oxalate complexes.  相似文献

Two isostructural transition-metal oxalatophosphonates, Na2M3(C2O4)3(CH3PO3H)2 (M = Fe(II) and Mn(II)), have been synthesized by using a low-melting-point eutectic mixture of choline chloride and malonic acid as a solvent and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and 57Fe M?ssbauer spectroscopy. The 3D framework structure consists of a corner-sharing octahedral trimer that is linked with other trimers through two distinct oxalate ligands with unusual linkage types, phosphonate tetrahedra, and H bonds to form infinite channels along the [101] direction where the Na+ cations are located. They are the first examples for the use of an ionic liquid as a solvent in the synthesis of metal oxalatophosphonates. Crystal data for the Fe compound follow: monoclinic, P2(1)/n (No. 14), a = 5.8063(1) A, b = 10.3867(3) A, c = 14.8094(4) A, beta = 96.926(1) degrees , and Z = 2. Crystal data for the Mn compound are the same as those for the Fe compound except a = 5.8734(9) A, b = 10.557(2) A, c = 14.863(2) A, and beta = 96.691(2) degrees .  相似文献

Two new mixed-metal sandwich complexes [M(II)2(H2O)2Fe(III)2(P2W15O56)2]14- (abbreviated [M2Fe2P4W30], M(II) = Co(II), Mn(II)) were obtained at pH 3 by addition of M2+ to [Na2(H2O)2Fe(III)2(P2W15O56)2]16- (abbreviated [Na2Fe2P4W30]) without substitution in the alpha-[P2W15O56]12- (abbreviated [P2W15]) units. Their X-ray structures are reported. At lower pH, back conversion to [Na2Fe2P4W30] was followed by 31P NMR, electrochemistry and UV-visible spectroscopy. The preparation and the characterization in solution of the lacunary intermediate [NaCo(II)(H2O)2Fe(III)2(P2W15O56)2]15- (abbreviated [NaCoFe2P4W30]) is also described.  相似文献

Strontium(II) bis (oxalato) strontium(II) trihydrate, Sr[Sr(C2O4)2]·3H2O and mercury(II) bis (oxalato) mercurate(II) hexahydrate, Hg[Hg(C2O4)2]·6H2O have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, reflectance and IR spectral studies. Thermal decomposition studies (TG, DTG and DTA) in air showed SrCO3 was formed at ca. 500°C through the formation of transient intermediate of a mixture of SrCO3 and SrC2O4 around 455°C. Sharp phase transition from γ-SrCO3 to β-SrCO3 indicated by a distinct endothermic peak at 900°C in DTA. Mercury(II) bis (oxalato) mercurate(II) hexahydrate showed an inclined slope followed by surprisingly steep slope in TG at 178°C and finally 98.66% of weight loss at 300°C. The activation energies (E *) of the dehydration and decomposition steps have been calculated by Freeman and Carroll and Flynn and Wall's method and compared with the values found by DSC in nitrogen. A tentative reaction mechanism for the thermal decomposition of Sr[Sr(C2O4)2]·3H2O has been proposed.  相似文献

A new type of heteropolyanion containing mixed-valence antimony, [Sb4(V)Sb2(III)Mo18O73(H2O)2](12-) (1a), and its four derivatives, {M(H2O)2[Sb4(V)Sb2(III)Mo18O73(H2O)2]2}(22-) (M = Mn(II), Fe(II), Cu(II), or Co(II)) (2a-5a), have been isolated as ammonium salt, and their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The framework of the polyanion 1a displays a curious asymmetric structure, and there exist six types of Sb coordination environments and seven types of {MoO6} octahedra. The title compounds were also characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, Raman spectra, and cyclic voltammogramms.  相似文献

A series of 1-(phenyldiazenyl)isoquinoline-3,4-dicarboxylates are synthesized by a unique reaction of triphenyl verdazyl radical with di-substituted electron deficient alkyne carboxylates. This transformation allows for the quick synthesis of this class of compounds in just three steps starting from a hydrazone. A radical mechanism that is consistent for the substitution patterns observed in the series of compounds made is proposed. The final product is obtained by a subsequent retro-Diels-Alder reaction.  相似文献

The layered molybdate [M2(pzc)2(H2O)x][Mo5O16] (I: M = Ni, x = 5.0; II: M = Co, x = 4.0; pzc = pyrazinecarboxylate) hybrid solids were synthesized via hydrothermal reactions at 160-165 degrees C. The structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction data for I (Cc, Z = 4; a = 33.217(4) A, b = 5.6416(8) A, c = 13.982(2) A, beta = 99.407(8) degrees , and V = 2585.0(6) A3) and powder X-ray diffraction data for II (C2/c, Z = 4; a = 35.42(6) A, b = 5.697(9) A, c = 14.28(2) A, beta = 114.95(4) degrees , and V = 2614(12) A3). The polar structure of I contains new [Ni2(pzc)2(H2O)5]2+ double layers that form an asymmetric pattern of hydrogen bonds and covalent bonds to stair-stepped [Mo5O16]2- sheets, inducing a net dipole moment in the latter. In II, however, the [Co2(pzc)2(H2O)4]2+ double layers have one less coordinated water and subsequently exhibit a symmetric pattern of covalent and hydrogen bonding to the [Mo5O16]2- sheets, leading to a centrosymmetric structure. Thermogravimetric analyses and powder X-ray diffraction data reveal that I can be dehydrated and rehydrated with from 0 to 6.5 water molecules per formula unit, which is coupled with a corresponding contraction/expansion of the interlayer distances. Also, the dehydrated form of I can be intercalated by approximately 4.3 H2S molecules per formula unit, but the intercalation by pyridine or methanol is limited to less than one molecule per formula unit.  相似文献

The crystal structures of two (hexafluoroacetylacetonato)copper(II) complexes with 3-imidazoline nitroxide radicals, [Cu(C5HF6O2)2]3 (C14H19N2O)2 (I) and [Cu(C5HF6O2)2]3 (C13H17N2O3)2 (II), have been determined. The compounds are triclinic (PI, Z=1) with a=8.730(2), b=10.357(2), c=21.996(5) Å, α=103.24(2), β=94.03(2), γ=95.04(2)0, V=1920(1) Å3 for I and a=8.679(2), b=14.769(4), c=15.368(4) Å, α=85.58(2), β=96.25(1), γ=104.60(1)0, V=1893(1) Å3 for II. Complexes I and II are molecular. The trinuclear molecules are centrosymmetric relative to the Cu(1) atom. The coordination polyhedron of Cu(1) is a square bipyramid formed by the O atoms of the hfac anions and nitroxide radicals (average Cu?Ohfac 1.92(1) for I and 1.93(1) Å for II; Cu?ON?O 2.47(1) for I and 2.56(1) Å for II). The coordination polyhedron of Cu(2) is a trigonal bipyramid formed by the O atoms of the hfac anions (Cu?Ohfac 1.91(1)–2.12(1) for I and 1.91(1)–2.09(1) Å for II) and an imine N atom of the radical (Cu(2)?N(2) 2.00(1) for I and 2.03(1) Å for II). The molecules are linked by van der Waals forces.  相似文献

Three malonato-bridged copper(II) complexes of the formulas [[Cu(H2O)3][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]n (1), [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2][[Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]] (2), and [Cu(H2O)4][Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2] (3) (C3H2O4 = malonate dianion) have been prepared, and the structures of the two former have been solved by X-ray diffraction methods. The structure of compound 3 was already known. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcab, Z = 8, with unit cell parameters of a = 10.339(1) A, b = 13.222(2) A, and c = 17.394(4) A. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/c, Z = 4, with unit cell parameters of a = 21.100(4) A, b = 21.088(4) A, c = 14.007(2) A, and beta = 115.93(2) degrees. Complex 1 is a chain compound with a regular alternation of aquabis(malonato)copper(II) and triaquacopper(II) units developing along the z axis. The aquabis(malonato)copper(II) unit acts as a bridging ligand through two slightly different trans-carboxylato groups exhibiting an anti-syn coordination mode. The four carboxylate oxygens, in the basal plane, and the one water molecule, in the apical position, describe a distorted square pyramid around Cu1, whereas the same metal surroundings are observed around Cu2 but with three water molecules and one carboxylate oxygen building the equatorial plane and a carboxylate oxygen from another malonato filling the apical site. Complex 2 is made up of discrete mono-, di-, and trinuclear copper(II) complexes of the formulas [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]2-, [[Cu(H2O)4] [Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]], and [[Cu(H2O)4]2[Cu(C3H2O4)2(H2O)]]2+, respectively, which coexist in a single crystal. The copper environment in the mononuclear unit is that of an elongated octahedron with four carboxylate oxygens building the equatorial plane and two water molecules assuming the axial positions. The neutral dinuclear unit contains two types of copper atoms, one that is six-coordinated, as in the mononuclear entity, and another that is distorted square pyramidal with four water molecules building the basal plane and a carboxylate oxygen in the apical position. The overall structure of this dinuclear entity is nearly identical to that of compound 3. Finally, the cationic trimer consists of an aquabis(malonato)copper(II) complex that acts as a bismonodentate ligand through two cis-carboxylato groups (anti-syn coordination mode) toward two tetraaqua-copper(II) terminal units. The environment of the copper atoms is distorted square pyramidal with four carboxylate oxygens (four water molecules) building the basal plane of the central (terminal) copper atom and a water molecule (a carboxylate oxygen) filling the axial position. The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-290 K. Overall, ferromagnetic behavior is observed in the three cases: two weak, alternating intrachain ferromagnetic interactions (J = 3.0 cm-1 and alpha J = 1.9 cm-1 with H = -J sigma i[S2i.S2i-1 + alpha S2i.S2i+1]) occur in 1, whereas the magnetic behavior of 2 is the sum of a magnetically isolated spin doublet and ferromagnetically coupled di- (J3 = 1.8 cm-1 from the magnetic study of the model complex 3) and trinuclear (J = 1.2 cm-1 with H = -J (S1.S2 + S1.S3) copper(II) units. The exchange pathway that accounts for the ferromagnetic coupling, through an anti-syn carboxylato bridge, is discussed in the light of the available magneto-structural data.  相似文献

The crystal structures of three isotypic orthorhombic dihydrogendiphosphates, namely dipotassium copper(II)/nickel(II)/zinc(II) bis(dihydrogendiphosphate) dihydrate, K2M(H2P2O7)2·2H2O (M = Cu, Ni and Zn), have been refined from single‐crystal data. The M2+ and K+ cations are located at sites of m symmetry, and the P atoms occupy general positions. These compounds also exist in triclinic forms with very similar structural features. The structures of both forms are compared, as well as the geometry of the MO6 octahedron, which is considerably elongated towards the water molecules for M = Ni and Cu. Such elongation has not been observed among the other representatives of the family. A Raman study of the whole series K2M(H2P2O7)2·2H2O (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Mg) is reported.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of previously unknown palladium(II) and platinum(II) difluoro phosphine complexes are described. These complexes can be obtained either via a halide metathesis reaction with AgF in dichloromethane or by reacting the corresponding dimethyl complexes with XeF2. While the Pt(II) complexes can be prepared with both aryl- and alkyl-phosphine ligands, the stability of the Pd(II) complexes is limited to those having cis-oriented trialkyl phosphine ligands.  相似文献

Two new layered transition metal oxalatophosphates, (H(3)TREN)[M(2)(HPO(4))(C(2)O(4))(2.5)].3H(2)O (M = Mn(II) and Fe(II)), have been synthesized by hydrothermal methods in the presence of a structure-directing organic amine, tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility. They are the first metal oxalatophosphates which adopt a two-dimensional honeycomb structure with the organic cations and water molecules intercalated in between. Within a layer, there are 12-membered pores made from 6 Mn, 1 phosphate, and 5 oxalate units. Measurements of field dependence of magnetization and variable-temperature susceptibilities under different fields were performed on a polycrystalline sample of the manganese compound. The results indicate a phase transition from a paramagnetic to an antiferromagnetic coupled state at about 12 K. Crystal data for the manganese compound follow: triclinic, space group Ponemacr; (No. 2), a = 8.8385(6) A, b = 9.0586(6) A, c = 16.020(1) A, alpha = 77.616(1) degrees, beta = 83.359(1) degrees, gamma = 68.251(1) degrees, and Z = 2. Crystal data for the iron compound are the same as those for the manganese compound except a = 8.7776(9) A, b = 8.9257(9) A, c = 15.884(2) A, alpha = 78.630(2) degrees, beta = 84.018(2) degrees, and gamma = 67.372(2) degrees.  相似文献

With the aid of density function theory, the molecular and electronic structures of the molecules Mo2(O2CMe)4, MoW(O2CMe)4, and W2(O2CMe)4 and their single-electron oxidized radical cations have been determined; this includes calculated observables such as v(MM) and the delta --> delta* electronic transition energies. The calculated properties are compared with those for the corresponding pivalates, M2(O2CtBu)4 (M = Mo or W) and MoW(O2CtBu)4 and their radical cations prepared in situ by oxidation with Cp2FePF6. The EPR spectra of the radical cations are also reported. The EPR spectrum of the MoW(O2CtBu)4+ cation reveals that the unpaired electron is in a polarized MM delta orbital having 70% Mo and 30% W character. The MM stretching frequencies show good correlation with the MM bond lengths obtained from single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies of MoW(O2CtBu)4, W2(O2CtBu)4, and W2(O2CtBu)4+PF6- compounds, along with previously reported structures. These data provide benchmark parameters for valence trapped dicarboxylate bridged radical cations of the type [(tBuCO2)3M2]2(micro-O2C-X-CO2)+ (X = conjugated spacer).  相似文献

Pure organic radical molecules on metal surfaces are of great significance in exploration of the electron spin behavior. However, only a few of them are investigated in surface studies due to their poor thermal stability. The adsorption and conformational switching of two verdazyl radical molecules, namely, 1, 5-biisopropyl-3-(benzo[b]benzo[4,5]thieno[2, 3-d]thiophen-2-yl)-6-oxoverdazyl (B2P) and 1, 5-biisopropyl-3-(benzo[b]benzo[4,5]thieno[2, 3-d]thiophen-4-yl)-6-oxoverdazyl (B4P), are studied by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and density functional theory (DFT). The adsorbed B2P molecules on Au(111) form dimers, trimers and tetramers without any ordered assembly structure in which two distinct appearances of B2P in STM images are observed and assigned to be its "P" and "T" conformations. The "P" conformation molecules appear in the STM image with a large elliptical protrusion and two small ones of equal size, while the "T" ones appear with a large protrusion and two small ones of different size. Likewise, the B4P molecules on Au(111) form dimers at low coverage, strip structure at medium coverage and assembled structure at high coverage which also consists of above-mentioned two conformations. Both B2P molecules and B4P molecules are held together by weak intermolecular interaction rather than chemical bond. STM tip induced conformational switching of both verdayzl radicals is observed at the bias voltage of +2.0 V. The "T" conformation of B2P can be switched to the "P" while the "P" conformation of B4P can be switched to the "T" one. For both molecules, such a conformational switching is irreversible. The DFT calculations with Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof version exchange-correlation functional are used to optimize the model structure and simulate the STM images. STM images of several possible molecular conformations with different isopropyl orientation and different tilt angle between verdazyl radical and Au(111) surface are simulated. For conformations with different isopropyl orientation, the STM simulated images are similar, while different tilt angles of verdazyl radical lead to significantly different STM simulated images. Combined STM experiments and DFT simulations reveal that the conformational switching originates from the change of tilting angle between the verdazyl radical and Au(111) surface. The tilt angles in "P" and "T" conformations are 0° and 50°, respectively. In this study, two different adsorption conformations of verdazyl radicals on the Au(111) surface are presented and their exact adsorption structures are identified. This study provides a possible way to study the relationship between the electron spin and configuration conversion of pure organic radical molecules and a reference for designing more conformational switchable radical molecules that can be employed as interesting molecular switches.  相似文献

The verdazyl radical 1,5-dimethyl-3-(2,2'-bipyridin-6-yl)-6-oxoverdazyl (3) was prepared, and its homoleptic metal complexes M(3)(2)(2+).2X(-) (5, M = Mn(II); 6, M = Ni(II); 7, M = Cu(II); 8, M = Zn(II); X = ClO(4), PF(6)) were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. Relevant crystallographic parameters are as follows: 5, monoclinic space group Pna2(1), a = 18.755(4) A, b = 11.154(3) A, c = 16.594(4) A, alpha = 90.00 degrees, beta = 90.00 degrees, gamma = 90.00 degrees, V = 3471.4(13) A(3), and Z = 4; 7, triclinic space group Ponedblac;, a = 9.4638(18) A, b = 9.8442(19) A, c = 18.769(4) A, alpha = 103.746(3) degrees, beta = 92.925(3) degrees, gamma = 94.869(3) degrees, V = 1687.8(6) A(3), and Z = 2; 8, triclinic space group Ponedblac;, a = 9.4858(14) A, b = 9.7919(14) A, c = 18.889(3) A, alpha = 104.196(3) degrees, beta = 92.855(3) degrees, gamma = 94.216(3) degrees, V = 1692.1(4) A(3), and Z = 2. In all cases, the two verdazyl-based ligands bind almost perpendicular to each other in meridional positions, yielding pseudooctahedral metal complexes whose general structural features are strongly reminiscent of metal bis(terpyridine) complexes. The intramolecular metal-verdazyl magnetic exchange coupling is strongly ferromagnetic in 6 (J(Ni-vd) = +240 cm(-1)), and strongly antiferromagnetic in 5 (J(Mn-vd) = -93 cm(-1)). Complex 7 exhibits weak ferromagnetic coupling (J(Cu-vd) = -4.5 cm(-1)). Intramolecular radical-radical coupling in the zinc complex 8 was found to be weakly antiferromagnetic (J(vd-vd) = -8 cm(-1)). Intramolecular radical-radical exchange was generally weak in the four metal complexes, ranging from -10 cm(-1) (for 5) to +2 cm(-1) (for 7). The low-temperature magnetic behavior of 7 and 8 is complex, possibly arising from a combination of intra- and intermolecular interactions.  相似文献
