Consider a hyperbolic surface X of infinite area. The Liouville map assigns to any quasiconformal deformation of X a measure on the space of geodesics of the universal covering X? of X. We show that the Liouville map is a homeomorphism from the Teichmüller space onto its image, and that the image is closed and unbounded. The set of asymptotic rays to consists of all bounded measured laminations on X. Hence, the set of projective bounded measured laminations is a natural boundary for . The action of the quasiconformal mapping class group on continuously extends to this boundary for .  相似文献

Let be a holomorphic foliation with reduced singularities on a complex surface M and a real analytic codimension one foliation on M whose leaves contain the ones of . We show that a Levi flat group of diffeomorphisms of is resoluble and holomorphically conjugate to his normal form. We deduce, in one hand, that each singularity of  is conjugate to his normal form. In the other hand at each singularity m of , where is not defined, up a conjugacy, by the one form ω=xdy+ydx, one of the local invariant curves of , with non obvious holonomy, is contained in the set of singularities of . Moreover if M is a compact Stein variety we show, under some generic conditions, that has a 1-Liouvillian first integrating factor.  相似文献

We give a characterization of exponentiable monomorphisms in the categories of ω-complete posets, of directed complete posets and of continuous directed complete posets as those monotone maps f that are convex and that lift an element (and then a queue) of any directed set (ω-chain in the case of ) whose supremum is in the image of f (Theorem 1.9). Using this characterization, we obtain that a monomorphism f:XB in (, ) exponentiable in w.r.t. the Scott topology is exponentiable also in (, ). Various properties of the regression vector produced by cyclic subspace regression with regard to the meancentered linear regression equation are put forth. In particular, the subspace associated with the creation of is shown to contain a basis that maximizes certain covariances with respect to , the orthogonal projection of onto a specific subspace of the range of X. This basis is constructed. Moreover, this paper shows how the maximum covariance values effect the . Several alternative representations of are also developed. These representations show that is a modified version of the l-factor principal components regression vector , with the modification occurring by a nonorthogonal projection. This paper concerns G-invariant systems of second-order differential operators on irreducible Hermitian symmetric spaces G/K. The systems of type (1,1) are obtained from K-invariant subspaces of . We show that all such systems can be derived from a decomposition . Here gives the Laplace-Beltrami operator and is the celebrated Hua system, which has been extensively studied elsewhere. Our main result asserts that for G/K of rank at least two, a bounded real-valued function is annihilated by the system if and only if it is the real part of a holomorphic function. In view of previous work, one obtains a complete characterization of the bounded functions that are solutions for any system of type (1,1) which contains the Laplace-Beltrami operator.  相似文献

Let K be a complete and algebraically closed valued field of characteristic 0. We prove that the set of rational integers is positive existentially definable in the field of meromorphic functions on K in the language of rings augmented by a constant symbol for the independent variable z and by a symbol for the unary relation “the function x takes the value 0 at 0”. Consequently, we prove that the positive existential theory of in the language is undecidable. In order to obtain these results, we obtain a complete characterization of all analytic projective maps (over K) from an elliptic curve minus a point to , for any elliptic curve defined over the field of constants.  相似文献

Talelli, On groups of type Φ, Arch. Math. 89 (1) (2007) 24-32] that if is finite then G admits a finite dimensional model for , the classifying space for proper actions.We conjecture that for any group G and we prove the conjecture for duality groups, fundamental groups of graphs of finite groups and fundamental groups of certain finite graphs of groups of type .  相似文献

We show that, if E is a commutative MU-algebra spectrum such that is Landweber exact over , then the category of -comodules is equivalent to a localization of the category of -comodules. This localization depends only on the heights of E at the integer primes p. It follows, for example, that the category of -comodules is equivalent to the category of -comodules. These equivalences give simple proofs and generalizations of the Miller-Ravenel and Morava change of rings theorems. We also deduce structural results about the category of -comodules. We prove that every -comodule has a primitive, we give a classification of invariant prime ideals in , and we give a version of the Landweber filtration theorem.  相似文献
