ACE and density functional theory were employed to study the noncovalent interactions of cyclic decapeptide glycine‐6‐antamanide ([Gly6]AA), synthetic derivative of native antamanide (AA) peptide from the deadly poisonous fungus Amanita phalloides , with small cations (Li+, Rb+, Cs+, NH4+, and Ca2+) in methanol. The strength of these interactions was quantified by the apparent stability constants of the appropriate complexes determined by ACE. The stability constants were calculated using the nonlinear regression analysis of the dependence of the effective electrophoretic mobility of [Gly6]AA on the concentration of the above ions in the BGE (methanolic solution of 20 mM chloroacetic acid, 10 mM Tris, pHMeOH 7.8, containing 0–70 mM concentrations of the above ions added in the form of chlorides). Prior to stability constant calculation, the effective mobilities measured at actual temperature inside the capillary and at variable ionic strength of the BGEs were corrected to the values corresponding to the reference temperature of 25°C and to the constant ionic strength of 10 mM. From the above ions, Rb+ and Cs+ cations interacted weakly with [Gly6]AA but no interactions of [Gly6]AA with univalent Li+ and NH4+ ions and divalent Ca2+ ion were observed. The apparent stability constants of [Gly6]AA‐Rb+ and [Gly6]AA‐Cs+ complexes were found to be equal to 13 ± 4 and 22 ± 3 L/mol, respectively. The structural characteristics of these complexes, such as position of the Rb+ and Cs+ ions in the cavity of the [Gly6]AA molecule and the interatomic distances within these complexes, were obtained by the density functional theory calculations.  相似文献

Na-montmorillonites were exchanged with Li+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+, while Ca-montmorillonites were treated with alkaline and alkaline earth ions except for Ra2+ and Ca2+. Montmorillonites with interlayer cations Li+ or Na+ have remarkable swelling capacity and keep excellent stability. It is shown that metal ions represent different exchange ability as follows: Cs+?>?Rb+?>?K+?>?Na+?>?Li+ and Ba2+?>?Sr2+?>?Ca2+?>?Mg2+. The cation exchange capacity with single ion exchange capacity illustrates that Mg2+ and Ca2+ do not only take part in cation exchange but also produce physical adsorption on the montmorillonite. Although interlayer spacing d 001 depends on both radius and hydration radius of interlayer cations, the latter one plays a decisive role in changing d 001 value. Three stages of temperature intervals of dehydration are observed from the TG/DSC curves: the release of surface water adsorbed (36?C84?°C), the dehydration of interlayer water and the chemical-adsorption water (47?C189?°C) and dehydration of bound water of interlayer metal cation (108?C268?°C). Data show that the quantity and hydration energy of ions adsorbed on montmorillonite influence the water content in montmorillonite. Mg2+-modified Na-montmorillonite which absorbs the most quantity of ions with the highest hydration energy has the maximum water content up to 8.84%.  相似文献

The synthesis and complexive abilities of 5,11,17-tris(tert-butyl)-23 amino-25,26,27,28-tetra-propoxycalix[4]arene towards alkali cations Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+ and alkali earth cations Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ in methanol-chloroform mixture have been evaluated at 25°C, using UV-Vis spectrophotometric techniques. The results showed that the ligand is capable to complex with all the cations by 1: 1 metal to ligand ratios. The selectivity presented considering the calculated formation constants are in the order Li+ > Na+ > K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ and Mg2+ > Ca2+ > Sr2+ > Ba2+ with the ligand.  相似文献

DFT (B3LYP functional) and MP2 methods using 6-311+G(2d,2p) basis set have been employed to examine the effect of ring fusion to benzene on the cation--π interactions involving alkali metal ions (Li+, Na+, and K+) and alkaline earth metal ions (Be2+, Mg2+ and Ca2+). Our present study indicates that modification of benzene (π-electron source) by fusion of monocyclic or bicyclic (or mixture of these two kinds of rings) strengthens the binding affinity of both alkali and alkaline earth metal cations. The strength of interaction decreases in the following order: Be2+ > Mg2+ > Ca2+ > Li+ > Na+ > K+ for any considered aromatic ligand. The interaction energies for the complexes formed by divalent cations are 4–6 times larger than those for the complexes involving monovalent cations. The structural changes in the ring wherein metal ion binds are examined. The distance between ring centroid and the metal ion is calculated for all of the complexes. Strained bicyclo[2.1.1]hexene ring fusion has substantially larger effect on the strength of cation--π interactions than the monocyclic ring fusion for all of the cations due to the π-electron localization at the central benzene ring.  相似文献

A capillary electrophoretic (CE) method has been optimized for the separation of some common alkali and alkaline-earth metal cations in anti-asthmatic homeopathic liquid pharmaceutical preparations. Separation was carried out on a 74 cm (62.5 cm to the detector) × 75 μm ID fused silica capillary at a potential of 25 kV and 25 °C. Baseline separation of NH4 +, K+, Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+ and Li+ was achieved in less than 4.5 min. The proposed method was applied for the determination of the above-mentioned ions in homeopathic liquid formulations. Limits of quantitation (LOQ) observed were 1.5 ppm for NH4 +, Ca2+ and Mg2+ 0.8 ppm for Na+, 1.6 ppm for K+, and 0.4 ppm for Li+. During electrophoresis, the ingredients used in the preparation of homeopathic formulation did not interfere with the cations examined.  相似文献

The behavior of acids (citric acid, nitric acid, oxalic acid, tartaric acid) as a mobile phase and imidazolium ionic liquids (the bromides, tetrafluoroborates and hexafluorophosphates of 1‐ethyl, 1‐butyl, and 1‐hexyl‐3‐methylimidazolium) as additives in ion exchange chromatography for cations (Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+) separation were studied. The results showed that nitric acid and 1‐hexyl‐3‐methyl‐imidazolium hexafluorophosphate offered the most interesting features in the separation of cations, such as lower retention time and better resolution. The selected optimal conditions were achieved by adding 0.10 mM 1‐hexyl‐3‐methyl‐imidazolium hexafluorophosphate in 4.0 mM HNO3 mobile phase for the separation of four cations with the flow rate of 0.9 mL/min at room temperature (25°C). The linear regression equations of Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ were = 4.4763c  + 0.0209, = 3.8903c  – 0.0087, = 6.3974c  – 0.0173, and = 7.601c  – 0.0339 and the limits of detection of Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ were 0.296, 4.98, 0.0970, and 1.22 μg/L, respectively. In this work, four cations in samples were successfully detected.  相似文献

Capillary ion electrophoresis–capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (CIE-C4D) with a polyvinyl alcohol chemically coated capillary (PVA capillary) was used to analyze inorganic cations (Na+, K+, NH4+, Mg2+, and Ca2+) commonly found in human saliva. The PVA capillary, which was made by our laboratory, minimized electro-osmotic flow in the wide pH range of the background electrolyte (BGE), and the PVA layer adsorbed to capillary wall did not affect the conductimetric background level. In this study, we determined an optimized BGE of 30 mM lactic acid/histidine plus 3 mM 18-crown-6 for the CIE-C4D system using the PVA capillary, which could simultaneously improve the separation of Mg2+ and Ca2+ from Na+ and that of K+ from NH4+. This system obtained highly reproducible separation of cations in human saliva samples within 8 min at 20 kV without deprotonation. The quantifiability of cations in human saliva samples on the CIE-C4D system was demonstrated through identification by ion chromatography with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The geometries of the complexes of Li+, Na+, K+, Be2+, Mg2+, and Ca2+ metal cations with different possible 2,6-dithiopurine anions (DTP) were studied. The complexes were optimized at the B3LYP level and the 6-311++G(d, p) basis set. The interactions of the metal cations at different nucleophilic sites of various possible 2,6-dithiopurine anions were considered. It was revealed that metal cations would interact with 2,6-dithiopurine anions in a bicoordinate manner. In the gas phase, the most preferred position for the interaction of Li+, Na+, and K+ cations is between the N3 and S2 sites, while all divalent cations Be2+, Mg2+, and Ca2+ prefer binding between the N7 and S6 sites of the corresponding 2,6-dithiopurine. The influence of aqueous solvent on the relative stability of different complexes has been examined using the Tomasi’s polarized continuum model. The basis set superposition error (BSSE) corrected interaction energy was also computed for complexes. The AIM theory has been applied to analyze the properties of the bond critical points (electron densities and their Laplacians) involved in the coordination between 2,6-dithiopurine anions and the metal cations. It was revealed that aqueous solution would have significant effect on the relative stability of complexes obtained by the interaction of 2,6-dithiopurine anions with Mg2+ and Ca2+ cations. The effect of metal cations on different NH and CS stretching vibrational modes of 2,6-dithiopurine has also been discussed.  相似文献

Summary A pure silica gel (Pia Seed 5S-60-SIL), synthesized by the hydrolysis of pure tetraethoxysilane [Si(OCH2CH3)4], was applied as a cation-exchange stationary phase in ion chromatography with indirect photometric detection for common mono-and divalent cations (Li+, Na+, NH4 +, K+, Mg2+, and Ca2+) using various protonated aromatic monoamines (tyramine [4-(2-aminethyl) phenol], benzylamine, phenylethylamine, 2-methylpyridine and 2,6-dimethylpyridine) as eluet ions. When using 0.75 mM tyramine-0.25 mM oxalic acid-1.5 mM 18-crown-6 (1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane) at pH 5.0 as the eluent, excellent simultaneous separation and highly sensitive detection at 275 nm for these mono-and divalent cations were achieved on the Pia Seed 5S-60-SIL column (150×4.6 mm I.D.) in 20 min.  相似文献

Molecular probes 6 and 7, incorporating N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 and aryl/heteroaryl oxadiazole have been designed to function as the new intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) probes. Photophysical properties have been studied under acidic condition as well as in the presence of selected metal ions, Ca2+, Ba2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, and Li+. The changes in the ICT character of the probes, following the addition of trifluoroacetic acid, were interpreted in terms of site and degree of protonations. Based on the cation affinity, the ICT bands in both UV-vis and emission spectra experienced varying degrees of blue shifts due to removal of the aza-crown ether nitrogen from conjugation. The cation-induced spectral shifts and the stability constants revealed binding strength in the order Ca2+>Ba2+?Li+>Na+>K+>Mg2+. Competitive experiments performed in a matrix of ions also indicated superior interaction of 6 and 7 with Ca2+. The excited state decay profiles remained largely unperturbed in the presence of metal ions. The studied probes displayed positive solvatochromism and the Stokes shifts and excited state lifetimes increased with increasing solvent polarity. These findings can be rationalized by invoking highly polar nature of the emittive states. The chemoionophores 6 and 7 constitute potentially interesting Ca2+ sensitive probes due to their relatively high binding interaction for Ca2+ (log Ks=3.55-3.10) vis-a-vis that of biologically interfering Mg2+ (log Ks=1.67-1.30).  相似文献

A series of five monoaza crown ethers with 12-crown-4 and 15-crown-5 rings were studied with respect to their complexation of Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+ and Sr2+ ions in 95/5 (v/v) methanol/ water. The complexes were studied by potentiometric titrations, with pH and sodium ion-selective electrodes. The acidity constants of the protonated ligands, and the stability constants of the 1:1 metal complexes were determined. The results show that the stability constants increase with the total number of oxygen atoms in the ligand, and mostly also in the sequence Li+ < K+ < Na+ < Ca2+ < Sr2+.  相似文献

The potentialities of new ionic liquids (ILs) based on choline were evaluated as an electrophoretic medium in capillary electrophoresis for the analysis of alkaline and alkaline earth cations (Li+, K+, Na+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ba2+, Ca2+, and Sr2+) with indirect UV detection. Two types of capillaries were tested: an untreated fused silica and fused silica coated with a film of polyvinylalcohol. The coated capillary proved to be the best adapted for the metal ions studied. Moreover, it appeared that the nature of the ionic liquid anion influenced the baseline stability, and the bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide (NTf2 ) anion seemed to be the most efficient. These preliminary studies led us to synthesize a new ionic liquid, 2-hydroxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-1-phenylethanaminium NTf2 (phenylcholine NTf2). This liquid was able to act as the running electrolyte and probe, generating the background signal in indirect UV light and consequently simplifying the electrophoretic medium. Excellent baseline stability, good reproducibility, as well as good sensitivity of detection were obtained with this new ionic liquid. Thus, 510,000 plates/meter for Li+ with 40 mM IL were successfully obtained. The optimal concentration of IL was 20 mM with a detection limit ranging from 28 μg L−1 for Li+ to 1,000 μg L−1 for Cs+. This method (phenylcholine NTf2 with polyvinylalcohol capillary) was applied to analyze different commercial source and mineral waters. Finally, the potentiality of this ionic liquid in nonaqueous capillary electrophoresis was explored. The use of phenylcholine NTf2 with a fused silica capillary, in pure methanol medium and in the presence of acetic acid, made it possible to obtain separation selectivity different from that obtained in aqueous medium.  相似文献

Salts of sulfonated polyphenylquinoxaline (SPPQ) containing alkaline earth metal ions—Mg2+, Ca2+, and Ba2+—were synthesized. The paper considers their solubilities, the properties of solutions, and thermal stability in comparison with analogous characteristics of SPPQ salts with alkali metals. The introduction of alkaline earth metal cations into SPPQ affords soluble polymeric salts having high thermal stability. Solutions of SPPQ salts in N-methylpyrrolidone (N-MP) containing Mg2+, Ca2+, and Ba2+ ions do not exhibit polyelectrolyte properties, unlike solutions of SPPQ salts in which the counterions are Li+, Na+, and K+. Solutions of SPPQ and its salts in N-MP can be converted to water-soluble form by dialysis. This opens up new prospects for using the polymeric salts.  相似文献

The synthetic model systems based on the study of supramolecular compounds are proficient in mimicking the biological processes so as to get the insight of their processes. In this perspective, a series of naphthaquinone derived redox switchable ionophores namely D1 (2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12-octahydronaphtho [2,3b] [1,4,7,10,13] pentaoxacyclo octadecine-14,19-dione) and D2 (2,3,5,6,8,9-hexahydronaphtho[2,3-b] [1,4,7,10] tetraoxacyclododecine-11,16-dione) have been synthesized and interacted with Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ cations. The isolated solid state soft materials obtained after interaction were characterized by melting point, TLC, 1H NMR spectroscopy and CHN estimation. The extraction, transport potential and stability constant determination of these ionophores towards cations helped in investigating their binding strength in solution. The selective extraction of Na+ and Li+ by D1 and D2 correspondingly proves them an efficient compound for the manufacturing of chemosensor. Whereas efficient transport of Mg2+ by both the ionophores especially by D1 may assist in developing biomodels for understanding its transport through membrane in living system. The selectivity of these ionophores towards metal ions can be modulated by molecular tailoring.  相似文献

Effects of monovalent and divalent counterions on the acid-base equilibrium of a pH-sensitive merocyanine dye covalently attached to copolymers of acrylic acid and acrylamide with varying charge densities (0.28 < ξ < 2.8) were investigated. Added chloride salts of Li+, Na+, K+, and NH+4 (< 0.2 mM) had essentially no effect on pK observed (pKobs) for the equilibrium. By contrast, the salts of Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+ caused a significant decrease in pKobs for the copolymers with larger ξ. With smaller ξ, most likely when ξ < 0.5, no decrease in pKobs was observed upon addition of the salts of divalent cations. A competitive effect of Ca2+ and Na2+ ions on pKobs in the presence of an excess of Na+ ions implied that Ca2+ ions at very low concentrations were preferentially, and therefore exhaustively, condensed on the polyanions with sufficiently large ξ probably until effective charge density was lowered to 0.5. The observed difference in the influence of the monovalent and divalent cations on pKobs was discussed in terms of the difference in the microscopic behavior of the condensed monovalent and divalent cations. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Stability constants ( 1 NB ) of the 1:1 cationic complexes of Li+ Na+, K+ Ca2+ Sr2+ and Ba2+ with benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6), Ca2+ and Sr2+ with 18C6 and dibenzo-18C6 and Li+, Na+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ with dibenzo-24-crown-8 in a nitrobenzene (NB) solution saturated with water (w) were determined at 25°C by ion-transfer polarography. From these values, distribution constants (K D,ML) of the 18C6-derivative complex cations between the w- and NB-phases were evaluated using the thermodynamic relation:K D,ML =K 1 NB , whereK (mol dm–3) is an overall equilibrium constant of the processes related to the complexation in the w-phase. The data on the distribution of the 18C6-derivative complex cations between the two phases and the complexation in the NB-phase were examined on the basis of an increase in the number of water molecules hydrated to the species relevant to these processes. The 18C6 derivatives showed higher solubilities in the NB-phase than in the w-phase by complexing with the univalent-metal ions, while, for the divalent-metal ions, the derivatives showed lower solubilities in the NB-phase.  相似文献

The stability constants (Ks) of the complexes of alkali and alkaline earth metal ions with new type of the cryptands containing one or two thiourea moieties in one of the bridges were determined by means of pH-metric measurements in 95% aqueous methanol at 25 °C. Cryptands studied do not show any regular alteration of complexes stability depending on the mutual relation of cryptand cavity and cation sizes. In all cases, they form the most stable complexes with K+ along the series of alkali metal ions and with cations of Ba2+ or Sr2+ in the series of alkaline earth ions independently of variations of their structure. The log Ks values for K+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ vary in limits 3.51-5.90, 2.29-7.05 and 2.35-7.51, respectively, depending on the cryptands structure. The complexes stability of the studied cryptands increases in the order Li+ < Na+ (Cs+) < Cs+ (Na+) < Rb+ < K+ and Mg2+ < Ca2+ < Sr2+ (Ba2+) < Ba2+ (Sr2+). However, cryptands containing at least one oxygen atom between the nitrogen bridgehead and group of thiourea form considerably more stable complexes with respect to cryptands in which thiourea group connected with nitrogen bridgeheads via ethylenic chain. The origins of the cryptands complexation behavior are discussed in terms of ligands and complexes structural features.  相似文献

Simultaneous electromembrane extraction (EME) of six trace metal cations (Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Cd2+) from saline samples was investigated. CE with capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (C4D) was used to determine the metals in acceptor solutions due to its excellent compatibility with the minute volumes of acceptor solutions. Bis(2‐ethylhexyl)phosphate (DEHPA) was selected as a suitable nonselective modifier for EME transport of target metal cations. Both, the individual effect of each major inorganic cation (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+) and their synergistic effect on EME of the trace metal cations were evaluated. In both cases, a decrease in extraction efficiency was observed when major inorganic cations were present in the sample. This effect was more significant for Ca2+ and Mg2+. The system was optimized for simultaneous extractions of the six target metals from saline samples (50 mM Na+, 5 mM Mg2+, 1 mM K+, and 1 mM Ca2+) and following EME conditions were applied. Organic phase consisted of 1‐nonanol containing 1% (v/v) DEHPA, acceptor solution was 1 M acetic acid (HAc) and sample pH was adjusted to 5. Sample was stirred at 750 rpm and EMEs were carried out at extraction potential of 10 V for 20 min. The method presented a repeatability between 8 and 21.8% (n = 5), good linearity in 0.5–10 μM concentration range (R2 = 0.987‐0.999) and LOD better than 2.6 nM. Applicability of the EME–CE–C4D method to the analyses of metal cations in drinking water, seawater, and urine samples was also demonstrated.  相似文献

The electronic, magnetic, and thermodynamic properties of alkali/alkaline earth metal ion-adsorbed gallium nitride nanocage (Ga5N10_NC) have been investigated using density functional theory. The results denote that alkali/alkaline earth-metal ion-adsorbed Ga5N10_NC systems are stable compounds, with the most stable adsorption site being the center of the cage ring. The partial density of states (PDOS) can estimate a certain charge assembly between Li+, Na+, K+/ Be2+, Mg2+, Ca2+ and Ga5N10_NC which indicate the complex dominant of metallic features as: Ca2+ > Mg2+ > Be2+ >> K+ > Na+ > Li+. For confirmation of magnetic-alignment of Ga5N10_NC, monovalent (M+) and divalent (M2+) metal ions were added to the sample to measure the effects of metals on the magnetic-alignment properties of Ga5N10_NC. Furthermore, the reported results of NMR spectroscopy have exhibited that both M+ and M2+ can be optimized to achieve optimal alignment of nanocage in the presence of an applied magnetic field; however, chemical shift anisotropy spans for Ca2+– and Mg2+–containing samples is due to Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions binding to Ga5N10_NC. Regarding IR spectroscopy, Li+@ Ga5N10_NC and Be2+@ Ga5N10_NC with more electronegativity appear the most fluctuations through adsorption process. Moreover, based on NQR analysis, Ca2+ has shown a different graph of electric potential during trapping in Ga5N10_NC compared to other metal cations. Based on the results of amounts in this research, the selectivity of metal ion adsorption by gallium nitride nanocage (ion sensor) has been approved as: K+>Na+> Li+ in alkali metals and Ca2+>Mg2+> Be2+ in alkaline earth metals.  相似文献

The complexation reactions between Mg2+, Ca2+, Ag+ and Cd2+ metal cations with N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 (Ph-N15C5) were studied in acetonitrile (AN)–methanol (MeOH), methanol (MeOH)–water (H2O) and propanol (PrOH)–water (H2O) binary mixtures at different temperatures using the conductometric method. The conductance data show that the stochiometry of all of the complexes with Mg2+, Ca2+, Ag+ and Cd2+ cations is 1:1 (L:M). The stability of the complexes is sensitive to the solvent composition and a non-linear behaviour was observed for variation of log K f of the complexes versus the composition of the binary mixed solvents. The selectivity order of Ph-N15C5 for the metal cations in neat MeOH is Ag+>Cd2+>Ca2+>Mg2+, but in the case of neat AN is Ca2+>Cd2+>Mg2+>Ag+. The values of thermodynamic parameters (ΔH c o , ΔS c o ) for formation of Ph-N15C5–Mg2+, Ph-N15C5–Ca2+, Ph-N15C5–Ag+ and Ph-N15C5–Cd2+ complexes were obtained from temperature dependence of stability constants and the results show that the thermodynamics of complexation reactions is affected by the nature and composition of the mixed solvents.  相似文献
