Ni–Zn ferrites have been widely used in components for high-frequency range applications due to their high electrical resistivity, mechanical strength and chemical stability. Ni–Zn ferrite nanopowders doped with samarium with a nominal composition of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2−xSmxO4 (x=0.0, 0.05, and 0.1 mol) were obtained by combustion synthesis using nitrates and urea as fuel. The morphological aspects of Ni–Zn–Sm ferrite nanopowders were investigated by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption by BET, sedimentation, scanning electron microscopy and magnetic properties. The results indicated that the Ni–Zn–Sm ferrite nanopowders were composed of soft agglomerates of nanoparticles with a high surface area (55.8–64.8 m2/g), smaller particles (18–20 nm) and nanocrystallite size particles. The addition of samarium resulted in a reduction of all the magnetic parameters evaluated, namely saturation magnetization (24–40 emu/g), remanent magnetization (2.2–3.5 emu/g) and coercive force (99.3–83.3 Oe).  相似文献

Mn-Zn ferrite powders (Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) were prepared by the nitrate-citrate auto-combustion method and subsequently annealed in air or argon. The effects of heat treatment temperature on crystalline phases formation, microstructure and magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite were investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer. Ferrites decomposed to Fe2O3 and Mn2O3 after annealing above 550 °C in air, and had poor magnetic properties. However, Fe2O3 and Mn2O3 were dissolved after ferrites annealing above 1100 °C. Moreover, the 1200 °C annealed sample showed pure ferrite phase, larger saturation magnetization (Ms=48.15 emu g−1) and lower coercivity (Hc=51 Oe) compared with the auto-combusted ferrite powder (Ms=44.32 emu g−1, Hc=70 Oe). The 600 °C air annealed sample had the largest saturation magnetization (Ms=56.37 emu g−1) and the lowest coercivity (Hc=32 Oe) due to the presence of pure ferrite spinel phase, its microstructure and crystalline size.  相似文献

Novel magnetic A-W glass ceramic (M GC) in the system MgO-CaO-SiO2-P2O5-CaF2-MnO-ZnO-Fe2O3 was synthesized by doping Mn-Zn ferrite to apatite-wollastonite glass ceramic. The phase composition was investigated by XRD. The magnetic property was measured by VSM. The in vitro bioactivity was tested by immersion in simulated body fluid. The result shows apatite, wollastonite, fluorapatite and Zn0.75Mn0.75Fe1.5O4 are the main phases of M GC. Under a magnetic field of 10,000 Oe, the saturation magnetization and coercive force of the material are 6 emu g and 180 Oe, respectively. After soaking in SBF for 14 days, the surface of M GC is coated by a hydroxycarbonate apatite layer.  相似文献

Both single-barrier magnetic tunnel junctions (SBMTJs) and double-barrier magnetic tunnel junctions (DBMTJs) with an amorphous hardcore structure of Co60Fe20B20/Al–O/Co60Fe20B20 were microfabricated. A high TMR ratio of 102.2% at 4.2 K was observed in the SBMTJs after annealing at 265 °C for 1 h. High TMR ratio of 56.2%, low junction resistance-area product RS of 4.6 kΩ μm2, small coercivity HC=25 Oe, and relatively large bias-voltage-at-half-maximum TMR with the value V1/2 greater than 500 mV at room temperature (RT) had been achieved in such Co–Fe–B SBMTJs. Whereas, high TMR ratio of 60% at RT and 89% at 30 K, low junction resistance-area product RS of 7.8 kΩ μm2 at RT and 8.3 kΩ μm2 at 30 K, low coercivity HC=8.5 Oe at RT and HC=14 Oe at 30 K, and relatively large bias-voltage-at-half-maximum TMR with the value V1/2 greater than 1150 mV at RT had been achieved in the Co–Fe–B DBMTJs. Temperature dependence of the TMR ratio, resistance, and coercivity from 4.2 K to RT, and applied voltage dependence of the TMR ratio and resistance at RT for such amorphous MTJs were also investigated.  相似文献

Series of CoxCr1−x thin films have been evaporated under vacuum onto Si(1 0 0) and glass substrates. Thickness ranges from 17 to 220 nm, and x from 0.80 to 0.88. Alternating gradient field magnetometer (AGFM) measurements provided saturation magnetization values ranging from 220 to 1200 emu/cm3. Values of squareness exceeding 0.8 have been measured. Coercive field may reach values up to 700 Oe, depending on the percentage of chromium, as well as the substrate nature and the direction of the applied magnetic field. The saturation magnetization value decreases as the Cr content increases. In order to study their dynamical magnetic properties, Brillouin Light Scattering (BLS) measurements have been performed on these samples. Stiffness constant value and anisotropy magnetic field were adjusted to fit the experimental BLS spectra. These results are analyzed and correlated.  相似文献

Polymer-coated magnetic nanoparticles are hi-tech materials with ample applications in the field of biomedicine for the treatment of cancer and targeted drug delivery. In this study, magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction of FeCl2 solution with sodium borohydride and coated with amine-terminated polyethylene glycol (aPEG). By varying the concentration of the reactants, the particle size and the crystallinity of the particles were varied. The particle size was found to increase from 6 to 20 nm and the structure becomes amorphous-like with increase in the molar concentration of the reactant. The magnetization at 1 T field (M1T) for all samples is > 45 emu/g while the coercivity is in the range of 100-350 Oe. When the ethanol-suspended particles are subjected to an alternating magnetic field of 4 Oe at 500 kHz, the temperature is increased to a maximum normalized temperature (3.8 °C/mg) with decreasing particle size.  相似文献

NiZn ferrite films with well-defined spinel crystal structure were in situ fabricated by radio frequency magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The microstructures and static magnetic properties of the films’ dependence on the partial pressure ratio of argon to oxygen gas were investigated. Scanning electron microscope images indicated that all the films consisted of particles nanocrystalline in nature and the sizes increase as the ratio increases in the range of 10-25 nm. A large saturation magnetization (237.2 emu/cm3) and a minimum of coercivity (68 Oe) were obtained when the ferrite film was deposited in the ratio of 4:1. The complex permeability values (μ = μ−iμ″) of the film were measured at frequency up to 5 GHz. It was shown that the film exhibited a large real part of permeability μ′ of 18 and a very high resonance frequency fr of 1.2 GHz. The results suggested that the NiZn ferrite film as-deposited in the ratio of 4:1 may be promised as magnetic medium in the application of integrated circuits operating at microwave frequencies.  相似文献

High saturation magnetization soft magnetic FeCo (=Fe65Co35) films were prepared using a thin Co underlayer. The FeCo/Co films exhibited a well-defined in-plane uniaxial anisotropy with easy axis coercivity (Hce) of 10 Oe and hard axis coercivity (Hch) of 3 Oe, and a half reduction of Hc with Hce=4.8 Oe and Hch=1.0 Oe was obtained when the composition was adjusted to 25 at% Co. The effective permeability of the films remains flat around 250 to 800 MHz. The saturation magnetostriction was 5.2×10−5 and the intrinsic stress was 0.8 GPa in FeCo single layer, both were slightly reduced by Co underlayer. The Co underlayer changed the preferred orientation of the FeCo films from (2 0 0) to (1 1 0) but more significantly, reduced the average grain size from ∼74 to ∼8.2 nm. It also reduced the surface roughness from 2.351 to 0.751 nm. The initial stage and interface diffusion properties were examined by TEM and XPS.  相似文献

Magnetic nanocomposites formed by cobalt ferrite particles dispersed in a silica matrix were prepared by a sol-gel process. The effects of the thermal treatment temperature and the salt concentration on the structural and magnetic properties of the composites were investigated. By controlling these parameters, CoFe2O4/SiO2 nanocomposites with different crystallite size and magnetic properties were obtained. By increasing the annealing temperature and salt concentration, composites with a progressive increase in the coercive field and of the density of magnetization were produced. In particular, a nanocomposite, with a Fe/Si molar concentration of 21%, obtained by drying the gel at 150 °C and further annealing at 800 °C, has a coercivity of 2000 Oe, which is more than twice higher than the coercivity of bulk cobalt ferrite.  相似文献

Magnetization and susceptibility were investigated as a function of temperature and magnetic field in polycrystalline Mn[Cr0.5Ga1.5]S4 spinel. The dc susceptibility measurements at 919 Oe showed a disordered ferrimagnetic behaviour with a Curie-Weiss temperature θCW=−55 K and an effective magnetic moment of 5.96 μB close to the spin-only value of 6.52 μB for Cr3+ and Mn2+ ions in the 3d3 and 3d5 configurations, respectively. The magnetization measured at 100 Oe revealed the multiple magnetic transitions with a sharp maximum at the Néel temperature TN=3.9 K, a minimum at the Yafet-Kittel temperature TYK=5 K, a broad maximum at the freezing temperature Tf=7.9 K, and an inflection point at the Curie temperature TC=48 K indicating a transition to paramagnetic phase. A large splitting between the zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) magnetizations at a temperature smaller than TC suggests the presence of spin-glass-like behaviour. This behaviour is considered in a framework of competing interactions between the antiferromagnetic ordering of the A(Mn) sublattice and the ferromagnetic ordering of the B(Cr) sublattice.  相似文献

Platelet γ-Fe2O3 particles of particle size less than 100 nm were prepared for medical applications that use the hysteresis-loss heating of ferromagnetic particles. The γ-Fe2O3 particles were obtained through the dehydration, reduction, and oxidation of platelet α-FeOOH particles, which were synthesized by the precipitation of ferric ions in an alkaline solution containing ethanolamine, and the crystals grown using a hydrothermal treatment. The γ-Fe2O3 particles contained dimples formed by the dehydration of α-FeOOH particles. The coercive force and the saturation magnetization of the γ-Fe2O3 particles were in the ranges 11.9 to 12.7 kA/m (150 to 160 Oe), and 70 to 72 Am2/kg (70 to 72 emu/g), respectively. The specific loss power of the γ-Fe2O3 particles, estimated from their temperature-raising property measured under a peak magnetic field of 50.9 kA/m (640 Oe) and at a frequency of 117 kHz, was 590 W/g. This value is higher than that of spherical cobalt-containing iron oxide particles having equivalent coercive force and saturation magnetization, reflecting the larger area of the minor hysteresis loop measured under a peak magnetic field of 50.9 kA/m (640 Oe).  相似文献

Size-controlled Mn0.67Zn0.33Fe2O4 nanoparticles in the wide range from 80 to 20 nm have been synthesized, for the first time, using the oxidation method. It has been demonstrated that the particle size can be tailor-made by varying the concentration of the oxidant. The magnetization of the 80 nm particles was 49 A m2 kg−1 compared to 34 A m2 kg−1 for the 20 nm particles. The Curie temperatures for all the samples are found to be within 630±5 K suggesting that there is no size-dependent cation distribution. The critical particle size for the superparamagnetic limit is found to be about 25 nm. The effective magnetic anisotropy constant is experimentally determined to be 7.78 kJ m−3 for the 25 nm particles, which is about an order of magnitude higher than that of the bulk ferrite.  相似文献

An in-plane magnetic anisotropy of FePt film is obtained in the MgO 5 nm/FePt t nm/MgO 5 nm films (where t=5, 10 and 20 nm). Both the in-plane coercivity (Hc∥) and the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of FePt films are increased when introducing an Ag-capped layer instead of MgO-capped layer. An in-plane coercivity is 3154 Oe for the MgO 5 nm/FePt 10 nm/MgO 5 nm film, and it can be increased to 4846 Oe as a 5 nm Ag-capped layer instead of MgO-capped layer. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM)-energy disperse spectrum (EDS) analysis shows that the Ag mainly distributed at the grain boundary of FePt, that leads the increase of the grain boundary energy, which will enhance coercivity and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of FePt film.  相似文献

We have investigated the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) response of as-made and temperature annealed FePt magnetic nanoparticles. The as-made nanoparticles, which have been fabricated by a chemical route, crystallize in the low magnetic anisotropy fcc phase and have a diameter in the range of 2-4 nm. The annealing of the particles at high temperatures (TA=550, 650 and C) in an inert Ar atmosphere produces a partial transformation to the high magnetocrystalline anisotropy L10 phase, with a significant increase in particle size and size distribution. FMR measurements at X-band (9.5 GHz) and Q-band (34 GHz) show a single relatively narrow line for the as-synthesized particles and a structure of two superimposed lines for the three annealed samples. The origin of this line shape has been attributed to the presence of the disordered fcc phase. Assuming that the system consists of a collection of identical particles with a random distribution of easy axes, we have been able to estimate a mean value for the magnetic anisotropy constant of the particles in the fcc phase, K∼2×106 erg/cm3. The measured line shape in the annealed samples can be explained if we consider that the magnetic anisotropy of the particles has a gaussian distribution with a relatively broad width.  相似文献

α-Fe2O3 nanobelts and nanoflakes have been successfully synthesized by oxidation of iron-coated ITO glass in air. The X-ray diffraction, Raman spectrum and scanning electron microscopy are carried out to characterize the nanobelts and nanoflakes. The formation mechanism has been presented. Significantly, the magnetic investigations show that the magnetic properties are strongly shape-dependent. The magnetization measurements of belt-like and flake-like α-Fe2O3 in perpendicular exhibit ferromagnetic feature with the coercivity (Hc) and saturation magnetization (Ms) of 334.5 Oe and 1.35 emu/g, 239.5 Oe and 0.12 emu/g, respectively. For the parallel, belt-like and flake-like α-Fe2O3 also exhibit ferromagnetic feature with the Hc and Ms of 205.5 Oe and 1.44 emu/g, 159.6 Oe and 0.15 emu/g, respectively.  相似文献

Biocompatible hybrid particles composed of hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HAp) and ferrite (γ-Fe2O3 and Fe3O4) were synthesized using a two-step procedure. First, the ferrite particles were synthesized by co-precipitation. Second, the suspension, which was composed of ferrite particles by a co-precipitation method, Ca(NO3)2, and H3PO4 aqueous solution with surfactant, was nebulized into mist ultrasonically. Then the mist was pyrolyzed at 1000 °C to synthesize HAp-ferrite hybrid particles. The molar ratio of Fe ion and HAp was (Fe2+ and Fe3+)/HAp=6. The synthesized hybrid particle was round and dimpled, and the average diameter of a secondary particle was 740 nm. The cross section of the synthesized hybrid particles revealed two phases: HAp and ferrite. The ferrite was coated with HAp. The synthesized hybrid particles show a saturation magnetization of 11.8 emu/g. The net saturation magnetization of the ferrite component was calculated as 32.5 emu/g. The temperature increase in the AC-magnetic field (370 kHz, 1.77 kA/m) was 9 °C with 3.4 g (the ferrite component was 1.0 g). These results show that synthesized hybrid particles are biocompatible and might be useful for magnetic transport and hyperthermia studies.  相似文献

Strontium ferrite particles were firstly prepared by sol-gel method and self-propagating synthesis, and then the polyaniline/strontium ferrite/multiwalled carbon nanotubes composites were synthesized through in situ polymerization approach. Structure, morphology and properties of the composite were characterized by various instruments. XRD analysis shows that the output of PANI increases with the increase of the content of MWCNTs, due to the large surface area of MWCNTs. Because of the coating of PANI, the outer diameter of MWCNTs increases from 10 nm to 20-40 nm. The electrical conductivity of the composites increases with the amount increase of MWCNTs and reaches 7.2196 S/cm in the presence of 2 g MWCNTs. The coercive force of the composites prepared with 2 g MWCNTs is 7457.17 Oe, which is much bigger than that of SrFe12O19 particles 6145.6 Oe, however, both the saturation magnetization and the remanent magnetization of the composite become much smaller than those of SrFe12O19 particles. The electromagnetic properties of the composite are excellent in the frequency range of 2-18 GHz, which mainly depend on the dielectric loss in the range of 2-9 GHz, and mainly on the magnetic loss in the range of 9-18 GHz.  相似文献

Structural, magnetic, heat capacity, electrical and thermal transport properties are reported on polycrystalline Ba8Ni6Ge40. Ba8Ni6Ge40 crystallizes in a cubic type I clathrate structure with unit cell a=10.5179 (4) Å. It is diamagnetic with susceptibility χdia=−1.71×10-6 emu/g Oe. An Einstein temperature 75 K and a Debye temperature 307 K are estimated from heat capacity data. It exhibits n-type conducting behavior below 300 K. It shows high Seebeck coefficients (−111×10-6 V/K), low thermal conductivity (2.25 W/K m), and low electrical resistivity (8.8 mΩ cm) at 300 K.  相似文献

The structural, microstructural and magnetic properties of nanoferrite NiFe2O4 (NF), CoFe2O4 (CF) and MnFe2O4 (MF) thin films have been studied. The coating solution of these ferrite films was prepared by a chemical synthesis route called sol-gel combined metallo-organic decomposition method. The solution was coated on Si substrate by spin coating and annealed at 700 °C for 3 h. X-ray diffraction pattern has been used to analyze the phase structure and lattice parameters. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) have been used to show the nanostructural behavior of these ferrites. The values of average grain's size from SEM are 44, 60 and 74 nm, and from AFM are 46, 61 and 75 nm, respectively, measured for NF, CF and MF ferrites. At room temperature, the values of saturation magnetization, Ms∼50.60, 33.52 and 5.40 emu/cc, and remanent magnetization, Mr∼14.33, 15.50 and 1.10 emu/cc, respectively, are observed for NF, CF and MF. At low temperature measurements of 10 K, the anisotropy of ferromagnetism is observed in these ferrite films. The superparamagnetic/paramagnetic behavior is also confirmed by χ′(T) curves of AC susceptibility by applying DC magnetizing field of 3 Oe. The temperature dependent magnetization measurements show the magnetic phase transition temperature.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) films fabricated by pulsed laser deposition on the Si(100) substrate with Pt(111) underlayer have been studied as a function of film thickness (50–700 nm). X-ray diffraction patterns confirm that the films have c-axis perpendicular orientation. The coercivities in perpendicular direction are higher than those for in-plane direction which indicates the films have perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The coercivity was found to decrease with increasing of thickness, due to the increasing of the grain size and relaxation in lattice strain. The 200 nm thick film exhibits hexagonal shape grains of 150 nm and optimum magnetic properties of Ms=298 emu/cm3 and Hc=2540 Oe.  相似文献
