We report for the first time an efficient CW laser emission at 560 nm by sum-frequency mixing of the fundamental and first-Stokes fields generated within an Nd:YVO4-BaWO4 Raman laser. Intracavity sumfrequency mixing with LiB3O5 (LBO) nonlinear crystal yielded 1.12 W of visible yellow-green emission; the output power stability over 4 h is better than 3.3%. The laser beam quality M 2 factors are 1.84 and 2.43 in both horizontal and vertical dimensions respectively.  相似文献

Stability of the linear orthorhombic polymer of C60 under pressure and laser irradiation is studied by Raman scattering and X-ray diffraction measurements. The Raman spectrum at ambient pressure remains unchanged, in the time scale of the experiment, up to an intensity of 3200 W/cm2 of the 514.5 nm line of an Ar+ laser, but irreversible changes are observed at higher intensities. The Raman spectra recorded at increased pressure show similar irreversible changes even at the laser intensity as low as 470 W/cm2. The X-ray diffraction and Raman measurements of the pressure-treated samples, performed after pressure release, show that the nonirradiated material does not exhibit any changes in the crystal structure and phonon spectra. This behavior indicates a pressure-enhanced photo-induced transformation to a new polymeric phase characterized by a Raman spectrum that differs from those of the other known polymeric phases of C60. The Raman spectra of the phototransformed linear orthorhombic polymer of C60 were measured at a pressure of up to 29 GPa. The pressure dependence of the Raman mode frequencies show singularities near 4 GPa and 15 GPa, respectively, related to a reversible phase transition and an irreversible transformation to a metastable disordered phase. The diffuse Raman spectrum of the disordered phase does not exhibit substantial changes with an increase in pressure up to 29 GPa. The high-pressure phase transforms to a mixture of pristine and dimerized C60, after pressure release and exposure to ambient conditions for 30 h. A diode-pumped passively Q-switched Nd:Lu0.15Y0.85VO4 laser with a GaAs output coupler is demonstrated. By using a mixed crystal Nd:Lu0.15Y0.85VO4 as laser medium, the passively Q-switched laser can generate shorter pulse width with higher peak power in comparison with the passively Q-switched Nd:LuVO4 or Nd:YVO4 lasers under the same laser cavity. At the incident pump power 11.9 W, the minimum pulse width of 3.23 ns and the maximum peak power 1.67 kW can be obtained. The average output power and the pulse repetition rate of the laser are also measured. The experimental results show that the mixed crystal is a promising laser medium for shorter Q-switched pulse with higher peak power.  相似文献

A Pr3+-doped La2(WO4)3 crystal grown by the Czochralski method has been investigated as a promising laser material. The principal axes of the optical indicatrix and Pr3+ concentration of the crystal were determined. The polarized absorption, fluorescence spectra and fluorescence decay curves of the main emission multiplets of the crystal were measured at room temperature. The spectroscopic parameters were obtained by the modified Judd–Ofelt theory combined with the normalized method. The peak stimulated emission cross-sections of the major emission lines were estimated. The good spectroscopic properties imply that the Pr3+:La2(WO4)3 crystal is a potential laser gain medium for solid-state laser and self-stimulated Raman laser applications. We report a red laser at 671 nm generation by intracavity frequency doubling of a continuous wave (cw) laser operation of a 1342 nm Nd:Y0.36Gd0.64VO4 laser under diode pumping into the emitting level 4 F 3/2. An GdCa4O(BO3)3 (GdCOB) crystal, cut for critical type I phase matching at room temperature is used for second harmonic generation of the laser. At an incident pump power of 17.8 W, as high as 1.12 W of cw output power at 671 nm is achieved. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is up to 6.3%, and the fluctuation of the red output power was better than 3.5% in the given 30 min.  相似文献

By using a-cut Nd:Lu0.15Y0.85VO4 mixed crystal as laser gain medium, a diode-pumped passively Q-switched and mode-locked (QML) laser with a GaAs saturable absorber in a Z-type folded cavity is demonstrated for the first time. The Q-switched mode-locked laser pulses with about 90% modulation depth are obtained as long as the pump power reached the oscillation threshold. The repetition rate of the passively Q-switched pulse envelope ranges from 50 to 186 kHz as the pump power increases from 0.915 to 6.520 W. Under an incident pump power of 6.52 W, the QML pulses with the largest average output power of 694 mW, the shortest pulse width of 200 ns and the highest pulse energy of 3.73 μJ are obtained. The mode-locked pulse width inside the Q-switched envelope is estimated to be about 275 ps. The experimental results show that Nd:Lu0.15Y0.85VO4 is a promising mixed crystal for QML laser.  相似文献

We present for the first time a Nd:YVO4 laser emitting at 1064 nm intracavity pumped by a 916 nm diode-pumped Nd:LuVO4 laser. A 809 nm laser diode is used to pump the Nd:LuVO4 crystal emitting at 916 nm, a Nd:YVO4 laser crystal was pumped at 916 nm and lased at 1064 nm. Intracavity sum-frequency mixing at 916 and 1064 nm was then realized in a LiB3O6 (LBO) crystal to reach the blue range. We obtained a continuous-wave output power of 216 mW at 492 nm under 19.6 W of incident pump power at 809 nm.  相似文献

Thermal effect of laser crystal is a very important factor for solid lasers. The most of heat is generated from the quantum loss between pump light and lasing light. If a longer wavelength of pump light is adopted, quantum loss and quantum loss efficiency can be reduced and improved, respectively. In this paper, a Nd:YVO4 laser end-pumped by 887 nm LD is reported. Output power of 25 W is obtained from a single Nd:YVO4, when the crystal absorbs pump light power of 38 W. The corresponding opto-optic conversion efficiency is up to 65.7%. When 30.7 W pump light is absorbed in the crystal, 19.4 W TEM00 is obtained with M x 2 = 1.30, M y 2 = 1.26 and opto-optic conversion efficiency of 63.2%. The laser can work at the Q-switched mode. The uniform pulses are generated at high repetition of 100 kHz. And the conditions of pulse stability are analyzed in this paper.  相似文献

Moreover, intracavity frequency doubling with LiB3O5 (LBO) nonlinear crystal yielded 4.6 W of green light at 532 nm. An optical-to-optical efficiency with respect to the incident pump power was 25.8%.  相似文献

We report for the first time (to our knowledge) an efficient compact red laser at 660.5 nm generation by intracavity frequency doubling of a continuous wave laser operation of a diode direct pumped Nd:YLiF4 (Nd:YLF) laser on the 4 F 3/24 I 13/2 transition at 1321 nm. A LiB3O6 (LBO) crystal, cut for critical type I phase matching at room temperature is used for second harmonic generation of the laser. A passively Q-switched 1.06 μm laser with Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber by direct 879 nm diode pumping grown-together composite GdVO4/Nd:GdVO4 crystal to the emitting level was demonstrated in this paper. The characteristics of pulsed laser were investigated by using two kinds of Cr4+:YAG crystal with the initial transmissivity of 80 and 90%, respectively. When the T 0 = 90% Cr4+:YAG was used, an average output power of 1.59 W was achieved at an incident pump power of 10 W. The pulse width and repetition rate were 64.5 ns and 170 kHz, respectively. The thermal lens effect of laser crystal was analyzed.  相似文献
