An asymptotic analysis of the Navier-Stokes equations is carried out for the case of hypersonic flow past wings of infinite span with a blunt leading edge when 0, Re , and M . Analytic solutions are obtained for an inviscid shock layer and inviscid boundary layer. The results of a numerical solution of the problems of vorticity interaction at the blunt edge and on the lateral surface of the wing are presented. These solutions are compared with the solution of the equations of a thin viscous shock layer and on the basis of this comparison the boundaries of the asymptotic regions are estimated.deceasedTranslated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 120–127, November–December, 1987.  相似文献

In the paper anomalous diffusion appearing in a porous medium composed of two porous components of considerably different diffusion characteristics is examined. The differences in diffusivities are supposed to result either from two medium types being present or from variations in pore size (double porosity media). The long-tail effect is predicted using the homogenization approach based on the application of multiple scale asymptotic developments. It is shown that, if the ratio of effective diffusion coefficients of two porous media is of the order of magnitude smaller or equal O( 2), where is a homogenization parameter, then the macroscopic behaviour of the composite may be affected by the presence of tail-effect. The results of the theoretical analysis were applied to a problem of diffusion in a bilaminate composite. Analytical calculations were performed to show the presence of the long-tail effect in two particular cases.Notations c i the concentration of chemical species in water within the medium i - D i the effective diffusion coefficient for the medium i - D ij eff the macroscopic (or effective) diffusion tensor in the composite - ERV the elementary representative volume - h the thickness of the period - l a chracteristic length of the ERV or the periodic cell - L a characteristic macroscopic length - n the volumetric fraction of the material 2 - 1–n the volumetric fraction of the material 1 - N the unit vector normal to - t the time variable - x the macroscopic (or slow) space variable - y the microscopic (or fast) space variable - c 1c ,C 2c ,D 1c ,D 2c the characteristic quantities - T,T 1L ,T 2L ,T 1l ,T 2l the characteristic times - c 1 * ,c 2 * ,D 1 * ,D 2 * ,t * the non-dimensional variables - the homogenization parameter - 1 the domain occupied by the material 1 - 2 the domain occupied by the material 2 - the interface between the domains 1 and 2 - the total volume of the periodic cell - /xi the gradient operator - the gradient operator  相似文献

Reasonable agreement is found between values of the first normal-stress differenceN 1 for samples of D2, a polyisobutylene/decalin solution, measured in steady shear flow using three different instruments: a Weissenberg Rheogoniometer (a cone-plate rotational rheometer), a Torsional Balance (plate-plate rotational) Rheometer, and a Stressmeter (a transverse-slot slit-die rheometer). Viscosity values are also in reasonable agreement. Ranges of variables common to at least two rheometers include values of shear stress up to 3,700 Pa and shear rate up to 20,700 s–1 near 25 °C. The agreement supports the approximate validity of the semi-empirical HPBL equation used to calculateN 1 from Stressmeter data over a range of shear rates up to 20,700 s–1 near 25 °C. Time-temperature superposition behavior exhibited by Stressmeter data at temperatures in the range 21 °C to 111 °C suggest that the range of validity of the Stressmeter method for determiningN 1 approximately may extend up to shear rates of 290,000 s–1 at 111 °C.  相似文献

This paper discusses formulation of the total problem of flow of an incompressible liquid over a body, with formation of a closed stationary separation zone as Re . The scheme used is based on the method of matched asymptotic expansions [1]. Following [1], it is postulated that the separated zone is developed (i.e., it is not infinitely fragmented and does not vanish as Re ), and the flow inside it has a definite degree of regularity with respect to Re. With these hypotheses we can use the Prandtl-Batchelor theorem [2], which states that, in the limit as Re , a region of circulating flow becomes vortex flow of an inviscid liquid with constant vorticity . Therefore, a basis for constructing matched asymptotic expansions is the vortex-potential problem (the problem of determining a stream function , satisfying the equation = 0 in the region of translational motion and the equation = in a certain region, unknowna priori, of circulating motion). In the general case the solution of the vortex-potential problem depends on two parameters: the total pressure po and the vorticity in the separated zone. These parameters appear in the condition for matching the solutions of the first and second boundary-layer approximations (at the boundary of the separated zone for the end Re values) with the corresponding solutions for the inviscid flow. It is shown in the present paper that the conditions for matching the cyclic boundary layer with the external translational flow are the same additional relations which allow us to close the total problem. Thus, in using the method of matched asymptotic expansions to solve the problem of flow over a body with closed stationary separation zones one must simultaneously consider no less than two approximations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 28–37, March–April, 1978.The authors thank G. The effective length method [1, 2] has been used to make systematic calculations of the heat transfer for laminar and turbulent boundary layers on slender blunt-nosed cones at small angles of attack ( + 5° in a separationless hypersonic air stream dissociating in equilibrium (half-angles of the cones 0 20°, angles of attack 0 15°, Mach numbers 5 M 25). The parameters of the gas at the outer edge of the boundary layer were taken equal to the inviscid parameters on the surface of the cones. Analysis of the results leads to simple approximate dependences for the heat transfer coefficients.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 173–177, September–October, 1981.  相似文献

A study is made of the problem of hypersonic flow of an inviscid perfect gas over a convex body with continuously varying curvature. The solution is sought in the framework of the asymptotic theory of a strongly compressed gas [1–4] in the limit M when the specific heat ratio tends to 1. Under these assumptions, the disturbed flow is situated in a thin shock layer between the body and the shock wave. At the point where the pressure found by the Newton-Buseman formula vanishes there is separation of the flow and formation of a free layer next to the shock wave [1–4]. The singularity of the asymptotic expansions with respect to the parameter 1 = ( –1)/( + 1) associated with separation of the strongly compressed layer has been investigated previously by various methods [3–9]. Local solutions to the problem valid in the neighborhood of the singularity have been obtained for some simple bodies [3–7]. Other solutions [7, 9] eliminate the singularity but do not give the transition solution entirely. In the present paper, an asymptotic solution describing the transition from the attached to the free layer is constructed for a fairly large class of flows.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 99–105, January–February, 1982.  相似文献

The first goal of this paper is to study the large time behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the 3-dimensional incompressible Navier–Stokes system. The Marcinkiewicz space L3, is used to prove some asymptotic stability results for solutions with infinite energy. Next, this approach is applied to the analysis of two classical regularized Navier–Stokes systems. The first one was introduced by J. Leray and consists in mollifying the nonlinearity. The second one was proposed by J.-L. Lions, who added the artificial hyper-viscosity (–)/ 2, > 2 to the model. It is shown in the present paper that, in the whole space, solutions to those modified models converge as t toward solutions of the original Navier–Stokes system.  相似文献

Equations are derived for the gasdynamics of a dense plasma confined by a multiple-mirror magnetic field. The limiting cases of large and small mean free paths have been analyzed earlier: 0 and k, where is the length of an individual mirror machine, 0 is the size of the mirror, and k is the mirror ratio. The present work is devoted to a study of the intermediate range of mean free paths 0 k. It is shown that in this region of the parameters the process of expansion of the plasma has a diffusional nature, and the coefficients of transfer of the plasma along the magnetic field are calculated.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 6, pp. 14–19, November–December, 1974.The authors thank D. The magnitudes of the variance 2 of the concentration distribution C(y) of a material being mixed in a stream behind turbulizing gratings in a pipe are measured. The impurity (helium) was inserted in the air stream via a thin pipe mounted directly behind one of the grating orifices. The intensity of the turbulent stream velocity pulsations behind the grating was measured by the method of helium diffusion. Estimates of the magnitudes of the turbulent diffusion coefficient D and the diffusion scale of turbulencel were given on the basis of these measurements. Characteristics of the turbulent stream behind gratings in wind tunnels have been investigated in [1–3], for example. The process of turbulent diffusion behind gratings has been studied to a lesser degree. The flow directly behind the grating is of greatest interest for practice, but in the majority of papers the measurements have been made at a distance x from the grating which exceeds (10–20)M, where M is the distance, or step, between the centers of the grating orifices. Moreover, as a rule, the gratings investigated possessed low hydraulic drag and the intensity of stream turbulence ahead of them was considerably lower than ahead of the technical mixing apparatus.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 36–42, January–February, 1973.  相似文献

A study is made of the steady flow over a horizontal plane of a heavy inviscid incompressible liquid which flows through the side surface of a circular cylinder which rises above the plane to height h and has a base radius ofa. The motion of the liquid is assumed to be symmetric with respect to the axis of the cylinder; the pressure p is constant (equal to the atmospheric pressure) on the free surface of the liquid. Fora/h = 1, this problem can be regarded as a problem of perturbation of the flow from a flat source by a free surface. Investigation showed that this perturbation problem is essentially nonlinear, and a solution of it in the complete region occupied by the liquid can be obtained only in variables of the boundary layer type. The problem admits linearization under the additional assumption that the parameter = Q2/(82ga3) is small; here, Q is the constant volume flow rate of the liquid per unit height of the cylinder, and g is the acceleration of free fall. For the case 1, 1 the problem is solved by the method of integral transformations. A noteworthy feature of the solution is the slow damping of the perturbations of the velocity with the depth (inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the free surface), in contrast to the similar problem of the wave motions of a heavy liquid, for which the velocity perturbations are damped exponentially.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 3–7, March–April, 1984.  相似文献

The results of investigations of inviscid flow over inverted cones with nose consisting of a spherical segment were published for the first time in Soviet literature in [1–4]. In the present paper, a numerical solution to this problem is obtained using the improved algorithms of [5, 6], which have proved themselves well in problems of exterior flow over surfaces with positive angles of inclination to the oncoming flow. It is shown that the Mach number 2 M , equilibrium and nonequilibrium physicochemical transformations in air (H = 60 km, V = 7.4 km/sec, R0 = 1 m), and the angle of attack 0 40° influence the investigated pressure distributions. A comparison of the results of the calculations with drainage experiments for M = 6, = 0-25° confirms the extended region of applicability of the developed numerical methods. Also proposed is a simple correlation of the dependence on the Mach number in the range 1.5 M of the shape of the shock wave near a sphere in a stream of ideal gas with adiabatic exponent = 1.4.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 178–183, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

When blunt bodies are in hypersonic flight, a high-entropy layer of gas with nonzero vorticity is formed near their surface. The transverse gradients of the entropy, density, and gas velocity in the layer are high, which makes it necessary to take into account its absorption by the boundary layer of finite thickness . This vortex interaction is usually accompanied by an increase in the heat flux q and the frictional stress on the wall compared with their values as calculated in accordance with the classical scheme of a thin boundary layer, when the parameters on the outer edge of the boundary layer are set equal to the inviscid parameters on the body. This effect has been investigated on the side surface of slender (with angle 1 to the undisturbed flow) blunt bodies in a hypersonic stream [1–3]. It is shown in the present paper that the effect can have a stronger and even qualitative influence on the flow over blunt bodies with 1 if the radius of curvature Rs of the detached shock wave on the axis is small compared with the midsection radius R of the body. It is shown that the distributions of the heat fluxes with allowance for the vorticity of the inviscid shock layer are similar in the case of slightly blunt (r0/R 0) cones with half-angles less than a critical *.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 50–57, March–April, 1981.  相似文献

An investigation is made into the conical flows which occur when a perfect (inviscid and nonheat conducting) gas flows over the terminal edges of surfaces with breaks separating an external and an internal flow with velocity vectors parallel to the line of intersection of the surfaces. Such flows are observed, in particular, in the neighborhood of breaks in the outlet edge of a nozzle of rectangular cross section with a straight or skewed exit plane under conditions of underexpanded flow of a supersonic jet into a cocurrent supersonic stream. By means of a linear analysis flow patterns corresponding to various flow interaction regimes and edge geometries are constructed and a law of similarity is formulated. The validity of the results thus obtained is confirmed by examples of the numerical solution of the complete nonlinear system of Euler equations. In this connection, within the framework of the approach outlined in [1], as a rule, together with the shocks and characteristic surfaces bounding the conical flow in question, the shear discontinuity separating the external and internal streams is constructed.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 119–127, January–February, 1935.  相似文献

It is shown that for sufficiently large values of the thermal conductivity of the condensed phase' as compared with the thermal conductivity of the vapor (/' Kn) the effects associated with the presence of a Knudsen layer on the evaporating surface must be taken into account in order to obtain a solution of the problem of a spherical particle in a slow (Re, 1) continuum (Knudsen number Kn 1) flow of its own vapor. The drag is calculated for various types of boundary conditions on the particle surface.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 134–139, March–April, 1987.In conclusion the authors wish to thank V. Various aspects of the problem of intense blowing through the surface of bodies have, been theoretically studied by a number of authors, within the framework of inviscid flow theory. A detailed bibliography on this topic is given, e.g., in [1, 2]. The well-known approaches to solution of this problem have a limited area of application. For example, asymptotic methods can be used for hypersonic flow regimes only at relatively low levels of the blown gas momentum ( = 2 = ovo 2/ V 2 1). The same limitation applies to the numerical method of straight lines [2]. The forward Eulerian calculation schemes [3, 4] smear the contact discontinuity severely, and cannot handle the case where the blown gas and the gas in the incident flow have different thermodynamic properties (o ). This paper presents results of a numerical investigation of supersonic flow over two-dimensional and axisymmetric bodies with intense blowing on the forward surface, performed using a time-dependent finite-difference method [5] with an explicit definition of the contact interface between the two cases. The calculations encompass a family of elliptic cylinders with semiaxis ratio 0.5 4, a flat-face cylinder, and a flat plate with rounding near the midsection, with variations in the blowing law, the incident flow Mach number M (3 M 10), the adiabatic indices, and the blowing parameter 0 0.5.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 117–124, January–February, 1977.In conclusion, the authors thank T. We consider the problem of steady flow of an inviscid, non-heat-conducting gas about a delta wing which is spherically blunted at the nose and cylindrlcally blunded on the leading edges, at an angle of attack.Several experimental and theoretical studies have been devoted to the investigation of this problem, of which we note [1–4], In the following the three-dimensional method of characteristics using the scheme proposed in [5] is used to calculate the flow fields about such bodies for freestream Mach numbers M=6, 7, 8, and , sweep angle =70°, and angles of attack from 0 to 15°.  相似文献

It is proposed to investigate the stability of a plane axisymmetric flow with an angular velocity profile (r) such that the angular velocity is constant when r < rO – L and r > rO + L but varies monotonically from 1 to 2 near the point rO, the thickness of the transition zone being small L rO, whereas the change in velocity is not small ¦21¦ 2, 1. Obviously, as L O short-wave disturbances with respect to the azimuthal coordinate (k=m/rO 1/rO) will be unstable with a growth rate-close to the Kelvin—Helmholtz growth rate. In the case L=O (i.e., for a profile with a shear-discontinuity) we find the instability growth rate O and show that where the thickness of the discontinuity L is finite (but small) the growth rate does not differ from O up to terms proportional to kL 1 and 1/m 1. Using this example it is possible to investigate the effect of rotation on the flow stability. It is important to note that stabilization (or destabilization) of the flow in question by rotation occurs only for three-dimensional or axisymmetric perturbations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 111–114, January–February, 1985.  相似文献

An effective numerical procedure, based on the Galerkin method, for finding solutions of the stationary traveling wave type in the complete formulation is proposed for the case of viscous liquid films. Examples of a viscous film flowing freely down a vertical surface have been calculated. The calculations have been made for various values of the dimensionless surface tension , including =0. The method makes it possible to predict a number of bifurcations that occur as decreases. The existence of numerous families of stationary traveling waves when 1 was demonstrated in [6]. The present study shows that as 1 all but one of these families of wave solutions disappear. The shape of the periodic and solitary waves and the pressure distribution in the film are found for various . When =0 and the wave number is fairly small, the periodic solution has a singularity, as predicted in [14]: at the crest of the wave a corner point appears; the angle between the tangents at this point =140–150. The method proposed can be used to calculate other wavy film flows.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 94–100, May–June, 1990.  相似文献
