The molecular-size fractionation of aquatic humic substances (HS) and their metal species by means of a novel sequential-stage ultrafiltration (UF) device equipped with five appropriate ultramembranes (1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 kD) is described. First of all, the concentration dynamics of macromolecules, particulary HS, during five-stage UF and its subsequent washing step has been modelled. Based on these results, the fractionation of aquatic HS (from ground and bog water) by means of multistage UF has been optimized for an analytical scale (10 ml sample, 1 mg/ml HS, 10 ml washing solution, pH 6.0). The molecular size-distribution of selected aquatic HS (BOC 1/2 from the "DFG-Versuchsfeld Bocholt", VM 5 from "Venner Moor", Germany) studied by five-stage UF exhibited strong systematic influences of the procedure used for their isolation. The molecular-size distribution of HS obtained by on-line UF and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) showed a satisfactory agreement in the range 1-50 kD. Moreover, when interrupting multistage UF for > 48 h a slow transformation in the HS samples has been found as gradually additional HS fractions of < 1 kD have been formed. Besides unloaded HS molecules, the molecular-size distribution of freshly formed metal species of HS (1.0 mg metal/g HS of Al(III), Cd(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), each) has been characterized by multistage UF as a function of pH-value, degree of loading and complexation time. Metal determinations as carried out by flame AAS, showed that considerable metal fractions in HS especially are present in molecules > 50 kD, which seemed to be rather acid-inert. With complexation times of < 2 days a transient shift of the molecular size distribution of both HS and their metal species (e.g., Al(III), Fe(III) to higher values (> 10 kD) has been found.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung 2-Thiobarbitursäure wird zum Nachweis und zur Bestimmung von Fe(III) verwendet. Im Reagensglas kann noch 1 g Fe(III)/ml nachgewiesen werden. Eine größere Empfindlichkeit (0,2 g/ml) wird bei Anwendung eines mit Thiobarbitursäurelösung getränkten Papiers erreicht. Die photometrische Bestimmung ist im Konzentrationsbereich 4–40 g/ml mit einem Fehler von höchstens ±0,5 g möglich.
Summary 2-Thiobarbituric acid is recommended for the detection and determination of trivalent iron. In the test tube 1 g of Fe(III)/ml can be detected, whereas this limit can be reduced to 0.2 g of Fe(III)/ml by use of paper impregnated with the reagent. The photometric determination is possible within the range of 4–40 g of Fe(III)/ml with an error of not more than ±0.5 g.

Oxidoreductases and hydrolases isolated from different sources (horseradish and peanut peroxidases, alcohol dehydrogenases from bakers yeast and horse liver, and alkaline phosphatases from Escherichia coli, chicken and seal intestine) were used to determine their metal ion cofactors: Fe(III), Zn(II) and Mg(II), respectively. Studying the effects of the metal ion cofactors on the catalytic activity of the enzymes of different origin showed that the extent of their inhibition, activation, or reactivation of their apoenzymes depended on the structure and accessibility of the enzyme active site, which varies among the biocatalysts isolated from different sources. The developed procedures are based on the inhibiting (Zn(II)) or activating (Mg(II)) effects of the metal ions on the catalytic activity of the enzymes, or on reactivating effects (Fe(III) and Zn(II)) on the apoenzymes. The procedures are characterized by high sensitivity and selectivity; the detection limits of Fe(III) using horseradish peroxidase, Zn(II) using alcohol dehydrogenase from bakers yeast, alkaline phosphatase from seal intestine and its apoenzyme, and Mg(II) using alkaline phosphatase from chicken intestine equal 10 ng L–1, 20 ng L–1, 3 g L–1, 8 g L–1 and 0.2 g L–1, respectively.Presented at the 8th Symposium Kinetics in Analytical Chemistry, Rome, Italy, 5–8 July 2004.  相似文献

A method for the determination of Fe(III), Co(II) and Cr(III) by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry (FAAS) after preconcentrating on a column containing S. carlsbergensis immobilized on Amberlite XAD-4 has been developed. The optimum values of pH, amount of adsorbent, elution solution and flow rate of the sample solution were determined for the quantitative recovery of the analytes. The effect of interfering ions on the recovery of the analytes was also investigated. Under the optimum conditions, recoveries of Fe(III), Co(II) and Cr(III) by S. carlsbergensis immobilized on Amberlite XAD-4 were 99±2, 100±2 and 98±2% at 95% confidence level, respectively. The limit of detections for Fe(III), Co(II) and Cr(III) were 2.8, 3.9 and 7.4ngmL–1, respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of the analytes in various water samples. The validity of the method was checked with spiked water samples. Fe(III), Co(II) and Cr(III) was determined with a relative error of less than 5%.  相似文献

A method for the determination of trace amounts of arsenic in food samples using flow injection analysis and atomic absorption spectrometry with hydride generation (FI-HG AAS) was developed. The parameters of the flow injection system and the hydride generation were optimized with respect to reagent concentrations, atomization temperature, injection volume, reaction coil length and carrier flow rate. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.34µgL–1 and 1.2µgL–:1, respectively, and the analytical curve is linear up to 30.0µgL–1 arsenic. The relative standard deviation for 12 replicates varies between 5% for 4.0µgL–1 As and 1.8% for 30.0µgL–1 As, with an injection frequency of up to 135h–1. Interferences from Ni(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), Cr(III), Mo(II), Bi(III), Se(IV), Se(VI), Sb(III) and Sb(V) could be masked with a mixture of ascorbic acid-KI in a 5.0molL–1 HCl solution. The accuracy of the proposed method was evaluated by using certified reference materials of biological samples, and the method was used to determine the content of arsenic in fish and coffee beans.  相似文献

Summary The ionic behaviour of 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidinone (phenidone) at different pH values and its complexes with a selected group of metal ions such as Mg(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) were investigated in the pH range of 1–13 by paper electrophoresis. pH-mobility curves were determined for phenidone, the nine metal ions and 21 metal-ligand systems with 1, 110 and 1100 metal: ligand ratios. A flow-injection procedure for the determination of iron(III) in water is described. The procedure is based on the formation of an ion pair between the tetraphenylarsonium (Ph4As+) (TPA) or tetrabutylammonium (But4N+) (TBA) cations and the tetrathiocyanatoferrate(III) complex (TTF). This ion pair is extracted with chloroform, and the absorbance of the organic phase is measured at 503nm (for Ph4As+) or 475nm (for But4N+). Iron concentrations higher than 0.9×10–6molL–1 (50µgL–1) can be detected in the first case, with a relative standard deviation of 1.9% (n=12), a linear application rangeof between 1.34 and 54.0×10–6molL–1 (75–3015µgL–1), and a sampling frequency of 30h–1. For the ion pair with But4N+, the detection limit is 0.52×10–6molL–1 (29µgL–1), with a relative standard deviation of 1.6% and a linear application range between 0.73 and 54.0×10–6molL–1. Under the proposed working conditions, only Pd(IV), Cu(II) and Bi(III) interfere. With the application of the merging zones technique, considerable amounts of organic reagent can be saved. The TBA method was applied to the analysis of iron(III) in tap and industrial waste waters.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung N-Dichloracetyläthanolamin (I) wurde über das mit SOCl2 erhaltene N-Dichloracetyl--chloräthylamin (II) durch Alkali in das 2-Dichlormethyl-oxazolin (III) übergeführt, dessen sehr leicht erfolgende hydrolytische Umwandlungen beschrieben werden. Kondensation von 4-Nitrobenzaldehyd mit (III) erfolgt ohne jedweden Katalysatorzusatz unter den mildesten. Bedingungen an der überaus reaktiven Methingruppe des Dichlormethylrestes von (III) zu 2-[-(4-Nitrophenyl)--oxy-, -dichloräthyl]-oxazolin (VI), dessen Konstitution an Hand eines O-Acetats und durch die saure Hydrolyse zu einer -(4-Nitrophenyl)-, -dichlorhydracrylsäure und Äthanolamin bewiesen wird.Herrn Prof. Dr.L. Six transition metal(II) complexes with 8-acetyl-4-methyl umbelliferone (AMUH), ML2 (L=AMU; M=Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrical conductance, i.r., 1H-n.m.r. and u.v. spectroscopic techniques. The e.s.r. spectra show that CuL2 is anisotropic, with g2.05 and g2.26. The MnL2 species is characterized by a very broad g2 centered resonance without manganese hyperfine structure. The antioxidative and other biological activities of selected complexes were also investigated, indicating that both the ligand and complexes exhibit a scavenging effect on the superoxide radical (O2 –·) and a suppressing effect on the hydroxyl radical (·OH). The suppressing effect on ·OH is greater than the scavenging effect on O2 ·. The Cu and Mn complexes exhibit very significant suppression ratios for both radicals. However, the inhibitory effect on lipid peroxides results show that, in the initial stage, the Cu and Mn complexes exhibit obvious inhibitory effects on lipid peroxides, but after one hour, they begin to accelerate the lipid peroxides. Lower catalytic activity and instability when the complexes react with active oxygen may be responsible for this dual nature. The ligand and four transition metal(II) complexes selectively, obviously, inhibit the growth of HCT-8 and HL-60 tumour cell lines. They also exhibit a minor influence on the proliferation of B cells in higher concentration (10–5m), but only a weak effect on the proliferation of T cells of the BALB/C (nude rate) spleen cells.  相似文献

From a methanolic extract of the epigeal part ofRhinopetalum stenantherum have been isolated -chaconine (I) and the new glucoalkaloids stenanthine with mp 262–264°C []D 46.5°, C45H73NO15 (II), and stenanthidine with mp 269–271°C, []D –47.5°, C39H63NO11 (III). The thermal properties of some complexes of copper(II) with pyridine-2-aldoxime (HPAO), where the ligand appears either as the ion (PAO) or as a neutral molecule, were determined in vacuo and in dynamic nitrogen and oxygen gas atmospheres. The study was carried out by thermoanalytical (TG, DTG. DTA), spectroscopic and spectrometric (UV-visible, IR, diffuse reflectance, mass) techniques.The initial decomposition temperature is influenced by the number of acid hydrogens in the complex; the thermal stability sequence in vacuo is: [Cu(PAO)2H]Cl > [Cu(PAO)2H2]Cl2 > [Cu(PAO)2]The thermal decomposition reactions occur in several separate steps, the first of which gives rise to partial ligand decomposition, the reduction of copper(II) to copper(I), and the conversion of the residual pyridine-2-aldoxime into acid amide.
Zusammenfassung Die thermischen Eigenschaften einiger Komplexe von Kupfer(II) mit Pyridin-2-aldoxim (HPAO), in denen der Ligand entweder als Ion (PAO) oder als neutrales Molekül vorliegt, wurden im Vakuum und in dynamischer N2- und O2-Atmosphäre ermittelt. Zur Untersuchung wurden thermoanalytische (TG, DTG, DTA) und spektrometrische (UV-sichtbar, IR, diffuse Reflektionsspektrophotometrie, Massenspektrometrie) Techniken herangezogen. Die Temperatur, bei der die Zersetzung beginnt, wird durch die Zahl der sauren Wasserstoffatome im Komplex beeinflußt; für die thermische Stabilität im Vakuum gilt die Reihenfolge [Cu(PAO)2H]Cl > [Cu(PAO)2H2]Cl2 > [Cu(PAO)2]. Die thermischen Zersetzurigsreaktionen verlaufen in mehreren diskreten Schritten, wobei der erste von diesen eine partielle Zersetzung des Liganden, die Reduktion von Kupfer(II) zu Kupfer(I) und die Konversion des verbleibenden Pyridin-2-aldoxims in das Säureamid in sich einschließt.

The formation of mixed metal complexes between uranium (VI), as the central metal ion, and aluminium (III), indium (III), copper (II), zinc (II) and cadmium (II), as the additional metal ions, with a hydroxycarboxylic acid chosen between citric, tartaric or malic, has been studied using spectrophotometric methods.The effect of pH has been examined, and the results show that at pH=4 stable complexes are formed for most of the systems. At this pH the method of mole ratio and Job's method of continuous variations, were employed to determine the stoichiometry of the mixed metal complexes. Al(III), In(III) and Cu(II) showed a high tendency to form mixed metal complexes with U(VI), while the formation of complexes is uncertain for Cd(II) and Zn(II). The ratio of the ligand to the total metal ion has been found to be 21 and metal:metal ratios of 11 and 12 have been observed.Represents part of the Ph.D. thesis submitted by Emanuel Manzurola to Ben Gurion University of the Negev.  相似文献

Summary In this paper the authors report on several methods for the direct determination of EDTA and indirect determination of iron(III), based on the inhibition effect of EDTA on the catalytic action of copper (II) on the oxidation of 2,2-dipyridyl ketone hydrazone by hydrogen peroxide and on the decrease of this inhibition effect in the presence of Fe(III), respectively. These methods allow the determination of EDTA in the ranges of 0.4–2.0 g · ml–1 and 0.2–1.0 g · ml–1 for the normal and reversed FIA modes, respectively, and of 40–240 ng · ml–1 for Fe(III) by reversed FIA.

Zusammenfassung Verfahren zur direkten Bestimmung von EDTA sowie zur indirekten Bestimmung von Eisen(III) werden beschrieben. Sie beruhen auf der Inhibitorwirkung von EDTA auf den katalytischen Effekt von Kupfer(II) bei der Oxidation von 2,2-Dipyridylketonhydrazon mit Wasserstoffperoxid bzw. auf der Schwächung dieser Inhibitorwirkung in Gegenwart von Eisen(III). Es ist mit diesen Methoden möglich, EDTA im Bereich von 0,4–2,0 g/ml (normale FIA) bzw. 0,2–1,0 g/ml (umgekehrte FIA) und Eisen im Bereich von 40–240 ng/ml (umgekehrte FIA) zu bestimmen.

New coumarin glycosides — haploperosides C, D, and E — have been isolated from the epigeal part of theHaplophyllum performatum (MB) Kar et Kir. On the basis of chemical transformations and spectral characteristics, haploperoside D has the structure of 6-methoxy-7-[0--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 2)--D-glucopyranosyloxy]-2H-benzopyran-2-one, and haploperoside C that of 6-methoxy-7-[0--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 6)-(2-0-acetyl--D-glucopyranosyloxy)]-2H-benzopyran-2-one. The structure of haploperoside E has been established as 7-[0--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 2)-0--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 6)--D-glucopyranosyloxy]-2H-benzopyran-2-one. The structures of haploperosides A and B have been refined. New homopolynuclear nickel(II) xanthate complexes with nitrogen donor heterocycles as bridging ligands have been prepared, namely [Ni(Rxa)2(-L)]n and [Ni2(Rxa)4(-L1)], where R=i-Pr,i-Am; xa=OCS2– L=1,2-bis(4- pyridyl)ethane (bpe), 4,4-dithiodipyridyl (dtp), 1,2-bis(4- pyridyl)ethylene (dpe), 4,4-trimethylene-dipyridine (tmd); L1=2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine (bpp), 2,4-bis(5,6- diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-3-yl)pyridine (bdt), or 2,4,6-tris(2- pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tpt). The compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, i.r. and electronic spectroscopies, magnetochemical and conductivity measurements. The results show that the [Ni(Rxa)2(-L)]n complexes are linear polymers in which the nitrogen heterocycles bridge between the nickel(II) ions, which are coordinated by four sulfur and two nitrogen atoms and have trans-octahedral geometry. The nearly constant values of the effective magnetic moment (3.36–3.34 eff/B) over the 77–295 K temperature range indicate that exchange interactions are lacking among the paramagnetic centres in the linear structure, [Ni(i-Amxa)2(dpe)]n. The variable- temperature magnetic susceptibilities of the [Ni2(i-Prxa)4(bpp)] (3.00–2.95eff/B per Ni atom), [Ni2(i-Prxa)4(bdt)] (2.72–2.63 eff/B per Ni atom), and [Ni2(i-Amxa)4(tpt)] (2.76–1.87 eff/B per Ni atom) were measured down to liquid nitrogen temperature. In the case of binuclear nickel(II) complexes with bdt or tpt, antiferromagnetic coupling between the nickel(II) ions was detected, giving the exchange integral J=–4.0cm–1 and –29.6cm–1, respectively.  相似文献

A spectrophotometric method for the selective determination of Al(III) in the presence of Be and Ln (lanthanide) cations is proposed. It is based on the selective reaction of SXO (Semi-Xylenol Orange) with Al(III) at pH 2.6. The presence of 8%v/v of 1,2-ethanediol serves to stabilize the chelate formed by heating at 100°C for 5min. 0.5mg each of Be(II), Ce(III), La(III), 4mg of Mn(II), 1.2mg of Pb(II), 1mg of Tl(I), 40mg each of Ca(II) and Mg(II) and 1.9mg of sodium dihydrogen phosphate are tolerable. A ligand buffer of HEDTA-Pb is incorporated to further enhance the selectivity of the color reaction. Under the specified conditions SXO reacts with Al(III) to form a 1:1 chelate. Its molar absorptivity at 526nm was found to be 3.3×104Lmol–1cm–1. The linear regression equation for 2–20µg of Al(III) is A=0.04458C+0.0112 (where C stands for the concentration of Al(III), µg per 25mL) and correlation coefficient =0.9988. The RSD at the level of 10µg (n=10) and LOQ were found to be 3.5% and 2µg, respectively.  相似文献

Summary Isocratic and gradient elution high performance liquid chromatographic measurements of the retention behavior of polystyrene homopolymers with molecular weights ranging from 2 kD to 390 kD were performed using mixed methylene chloride-methanol mobile phases of varying composition and a C-18 chemically bonded stationary phase supported on either 100 Å or 300 Å mean pore diameter silica. Isocratic measurements of the capacity factor, k, for different molecular weight homopolymers as a function of the volume fraction of methylene chloride, , permit determination of the critical composition, c, which renders k=1 and the local slope, S=–lnk/c of the lnk- isotherm at =c, and also the dependence of c and S on the degree of polymerization, M. Linear gradient elution measurements of c and S were also performed and compared to the corresponding isocratic measurements. The general retention behavior and the dependence of c and S on M compare favorably to the predictions of the theory of homopolymer retention and fractionation developed by Boehm, Martire, Armstrong, and Bui (BMAB). Comparison is also made between the present work and the experimental observations of other workers on related chromatographic systems involving hompolymer retention.  相似文献

The reagent bis(isovalerylacetone)ethylenediimine(H2IVA2en) has been examined for HPLC separation and UV determination of cobalt, copper, iron and platinum using off-line precolumn derivatization and extraction in chloroform. The complexes of cobalt(II), cobalt(III), iron(II), iron(III) and the reagent have been subsequently separated on a Microsorb C-18 column. The complexes were eluted isocratically using ternary mixtures of methanol/water/acetonitrile. Detection was achieved by UV monitoring. Detection limits for Co(II), Co(III), Fe(II) and Fe(III) were 2.5–5.0 ng/injection, based on 0.5–1.0 g/ml with 5 l/injection. The concentration of cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) in aqueous solution have been determined. The presence of oxovanadium(IV), platinum(II), and nickel(II) did not affect the determinations. The HPLC method developed has been applied to the determination of cobalt, copper, iron and platinum in pharmaceutical preparations at the 30 g/g to 15 mg/g level and the obtained results were compared to those of atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献
