Nanoscale yttrium–barium–copper oxide (Y2BaCuO5, Y211) particles were synthesized using the emulsion method and the solution method. The basic water-in-oil (w/o) emulsion system consisted of n-octane (continuous oil phase), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (cationic surfactant), butanol (cosurfactant) and water. The composition of the emulsion system was varied and characterized by measuring the conductivity of the solutions and droplet size. The droplet size of emulsion was determined by using the dynamic light scattering method. The water content, cosurfactant content, and surfactant/n-octane ratio affected the droplet size which was in the range of 3–8 nm, and hence the w/o emulsion system was referred to as a nano-emulsion system. A model was used to verify the droplet size. The influence of salt (Y2(NO3)3) content on the droplet size was investigated and the addition of salt reduced the droplet size. The effects of reaction time and temperature on the Y211 particle sizes were also investigated. The particles were characterized using the TEM, SEM, and XRD. Nanoparticles produced by the nano-emulsion method were calcined at 850°C to form the Y211 phase as compared to solid state processing temperature of 1050°C. Based on the TEM analysis, the average diameter of the Y211 particles produced using the nano-emulsion method was in the range of 30–100 nm. The effect of adding 15% Y211 nanoparticles to the superconductor YBCO-123 as flux pinning centers, was investigated, and the transition temperature was reduced by 3 K.  相似文献

An anti-Stokes luminescence band with λmax = 515 nm of microcrystals of solid AgCl0.95I0.05 solutions excited by a radiation flux of density 1013–1015 quanta/cm2·sec in the range 600–800 nm at 77 K was detected. It is shown that the intensity of this luminescence and the frequency of its excitation depend on the prior UV-irradiation of samples. Analysis of the stimulated-photoluminescence spectra and the anti-Stokes luminescence excitation spectra of the indicated microcrystals has shown that to the centers of anti-Stokes luminescence excitation correspond local levels in the forbidden band of the crystals. These states are apparently due to the atomic and molecular disperse silver particles that can be inherent in character or formed as a result of a low-temperature photochemical process. __________ Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 72, No. 6, pp. 738–742, November–December, 2005.  相似文献

The effect of the presence of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) on the copper nanoparticle formation, obtained by UV irradiation of ethanol solution of Cu(acac)2 (acac = 2,4-pentanedionato), was investigated. At 254 nm, in conditions of light completely absorbed by complex, the PVP exhibited protective and stabilizing effects, as shown by the formation of a colloidal copper solution and by a block of the heterogeneous process, which leads to thin film formation on the quartz walls. The colloidal solution was tested for several months by plasmon position and it was found that it remained unaltered in inert atmosphere, but returned to the starting complex on contact with air. The PVP ability to control the particle size was investigated by carrying out photoreduction sensitized by Hacac at 254 and 300 nm, in the presence of PVP concentration varying from 0 to 0.2 M. In this range it was possible to obtain copper nanoparticles of dimensions decreasing from 30 to 4 nm. Besides this, the PVP (0.005–0.05 M) role as sensitizer was investigated by irradiating solutions of Cu(acac)2 at 300 nm which is an inactive wavelength for copper reduction by direct light absorption. It was found that the PVP was an efficient sensitizer of the copper photoreduction. The nanoparticles were characterized by plasmon band, Trasmission Electron Microscope (TEM) as well as Dynamic Light Scattering (DSL) analysis. The overall results evidence the advantages of the PVP use in the nanoparticle copper formation through the photochemical technique such as the exclusive formation of colloidal copper, their size control, stable colloidal solution and complete return to the starting complex.  相似文献

An improved thermal decomposition method was used to directly prepare water-soluble Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) with relatively higher quality via reductive decomposition of ferric acetylacetonate [Fe(acac)3], in the presence of benzyl ether and phenol, in which inexpensive phenol acted as reducing agent and stabilizer, produce the semi phenol-benzoquinone coated on the Fe3O4 and make the Fe3O4·MNPs water-soluble and the colloidal solution stable. By changing the molar ratio of phenol to Fe(acac)3 and reaction time, the size of Fe3O4·MNPs could be varied from 19.3 ± 4.4 nm to 9.7 ± 1.5 nm, with the saturation magnetizations in the range of 51.3–62.9 emu/g.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Y3Al5O12: Ce3+/Tb3+ (average crystalline size 30 nm) phosphor layers were coated on non-aggregated, monodisperse and spherical SiO2 particles by the sol-gel method, resulting in the formation of core-shell structured SiO2@Y3Al5O12:Ce3+/Tb3+ particles. X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, photoluminescence, cathodoluminescence spectra, as well as lifetimes were utilized to characterize the core-shell structured SiO2@Y3Al5O12:Ce3+/Tb3+ phosphor particles. The obtained core-shell structured phosphors consist of well-dispersed submicron spherical particles with a narrow size distribution. The thickness of the Y3Al5O12:Ce3+/Tb3+ shells on the SiO2 cores (average size about 500 nm, crystalline size about 30 nm) could be easily tailored by varying the number of deposition cycles (100 nm for four deposition cycles). Under the excitation of ultraviolet and low-voltage electron beams (1–3 kV), the core-shell SiO2@Y3Al5O12:Ce3+/Tb3+ particles show strong yellow-green and green emission corresponding to the 5d–4f emission of Ce3+ and 5D47F J (J = 6, 5, 4, 3) emission of Tb3+, respectively. These phosphors may have potential application in field emission displays.  相似文献

Tin-compounds were doped into YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) films as pinning centers to enhance Jc in magnetic fields. YBCO films were grown by a metal organic deposition process using tri-fluoroacetates starting solutions. Tin-acetylacetonate salts were then dissolved into the starting solution as pinning centers. Jc of the YBCO films with tin-acetylacetonates were enhanced in all magnetic field angles. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and TEM-EDS (Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy) observations revealed the existence of tin-compound particles with the size of about 30 nm in the YBCO film. These nano particles were distributed randomly in the film and were considered to act as 3-dimentional pinning centers.  相似文献

La-doped HfO2 gate dielectric thin films have been deposited on Si substrates using La(acac)3 and Hf(acac)4 (acac = 2,4-pentanedionate) mixing sources by low-pressure metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The structure, thermal stability, and electrical properties of La-doped HfO2 films have been investigated. Inductive coupled plasma analyses confirm that the La content ranging from 1 to 5 mol% is involved in the films. The films show smaller roughness of ∼0.5 nm and improved thermal stability up to 750 °C. The La-doped HfO2 films on Pt-coated Si and fused quartz substrates have an intrinsic dielectric constant of ∼28 at 1 MHz and a band gap of 5.6 eV, respectively. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses reveal that the interfacial layer is Hf-based silicate. The reliable value of equivalent oxide thickness (EOT) around 1.2 nm has been obtained, but with a large leakage current density of 3 A/cm2 at Vg = 1V + Vfb. MOCVD-derived La-doped HfO2 is demonstrated to be a potential high-k gate dielectric film for next generation metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor applications.  相似文献

A novel electrode system composed of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous (3DOM) Li1.5Al0.5Ti1.5(PO4)3 (LATP) and LiMn2O4 was fabricated by the colloidal crystal templating method and sol–gel process. A LATP nanoparticle for the fabrication of 3DOM-LATP was prepared by a sol–gel process. A suspension containing polystyrene (PS) beads and the LATP nanoparticles was filtrated by using a polycarbonate filter to accumulate PS beads and LATP. The accumulated PS beads had a close-packing structure, and the void between PS beads was filled with LATP nanoparticles. 3DOM-LATP was obtained by heat treatment of the accumulated composite. Li–Mn–O sol was injected by a vacuum impregnation process into the macropores of 3DOM-LATP and then was heated to form three-dimensionally ordered composite materials consisting of LiMn2O4 and LATP. The formation of the composite between 3DOM-LATP and LiMn2O4 were confirmed with scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction method. The prepared composite electrode system exhibited a good electrochemical performance. Layer-by-layer (LbL) deposition of CuInS2 (CIS) thin films at room temperature (25 °C) from alkaline CuSO4 + In2(SO4)3 and Na2S precursor solutions was reported. The method allowed self-limited growth of CIS films with nanocrystalline structure and composed of densely packed nanometer-sized grains. The as-deposited CIS film was 250 nm thick and composed of closely packed particles of 20-30 nm in diameter. The alkaline cationic precursor solution was obtained by dissolving CuSO4 and InSO4 in deionized water with a appropriate amount of hydrazine monohydrate (H-H) and 2,2′,2″-nitrilotriethanol (TEA). CIS films were annealed at 200 °C for 2 h and effect of annealing on structural, optical, and surface morphological properties was thoroughly investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-vis spectrometer, C-V, and water contact angle techniques, respectively.  相似文献

A novel route for preparing PbWO4–TiO2 nanofilms on a glass substrate is firstly proposed. The collodion is used as a dispersant and film-forming agent. The nanofilms are characterized through SEM, XRD, TG/DTA, PL and IR, respectively. The results of XRD indicate PbWO4 particles with tetragonal scheelite structure and TiO2 particles with Anatase phase, and SEM shows they are well dispersed in the substrate. Compared with nanoparticles, when TiO2 nanoparticles are added in 5% ratio, the PL intensities at 395 nm of PbWO4 nanofilms are enhanced obviously. IR spectrum reveals a large absorption band between 750 and 870 cm−1, which is the W–O stretching vibration in WO4 tetrahedron.  相似文献

Composite Au–SnO2 nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized by nano-soldering of pure Au and SnO2 NPs. The multi-step process involves synthesis of pure Au and SnO2 NPs separately by nanosecond pulse laser ablation of pure gold and pure tin targets in deionized water and post-ablation laser heating of mixed solution of Au colloidal and SnO2 colloidal to form nanocomposite. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) were used to study the effect of laser irradiation time on morphology of the composite Au–SnO2 NPs. The spherical particles of 4 nm mean size were obtained for 5 min of post-laser heating. Increased mean size and elongated particles were observed on further laser heating. UV–vis spectra of Au–SnO2 nanocomposites show red shift in the plasmon resonance absorption peak and line shape broadening with respect to pure Au NPs. The negative binding energy shift of Au 4f7/2 peak observed in X-ray Photoelectron Spectra (XPS) indicates charge transfer in the nano-soldered Au–SnO2 between gold and tin oxide and formation of soldered nanocomposite.  相似文献

LiCoO2 thin films were prepared by electron beam evaporation technique using LiCoO2 target with Li/Co ratio 1.1 in an oxygen partial pressure of 5 × 10−4 mbar. The films prepared at substrate temperature T s < 573 K were amorphous in nature, and the films prepared at T s > 573 K exhibited well defined (104), (101), and (003) peaks among which the (104) orientation predominates. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) data revealed that the films prepared in the substrate temperature range 673–773 K are nearly stoichiometric. The grain size increases with an increase of substrate temperature. The Co–eg absorption bands, are empty and their peak position lies at around 1.7 eV above the top to the Co–t2g bands. The fundamental absorption edge was observed at 2.32 eV. The films annealed at 1,023 K in a controlled oxygen environment exhibit (104) out plane texture with large grains. Silver nanorods with average diameters of 120-230 nm and aspect ratio of 1.7-5.0 were deposited on the surface of TiO2 films by photoelectrochemical reduction of Ag+ to Ag under UV light. The composite films prepared on soda-lime glass substrates were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the TiO2 film after UV irradiation in AgNO3 solution is composed of anatase phase TiO2 and metallic silver with face centered cubic structure. Other compounds cannot be found in the final films. The maximum deposition content of silver particles on the surface of TiO2 film was obtained with the AgNO3 concentration of 0.1 M. The kinetic growth rates of silver particles can be controlled by photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The studies suggest that the growth rates of silver particles increase with the enhancement of photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The maximum growth rate of silver particles loaded on TiO2 films can be up to 0.353 nm min−1 among samples 1#, 2# and 3#, while the corresponding apparent rate constant of TiO2 is 1.751 × 10−3 min−1.  相似文献

The present investigation is related to the deposition of single-phase nano-sheets spinel nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4) thin films onto glass substrates using a chemical method. Nano-sheets nickel ferrite films were deposited from an alkaline bath containing Ni2+ and Fe2+ ions. The films were characterized for their structural, surface morphological and electrical properties by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and two-point probe electrical resistivity techniques. The X-ray diffraction pattern showed that NiFe2O4 nano-sheets are oriented along (3 1 1) plane. The FT-IR spectra of NiFe2O4 films showed strong absorption peaks around 600 and 400 cm−1 which are typical for cubic spinel crystal structure. Microstructural study of NiFe2O4 film revealed nano-sheet like morphology with average sheet thickness of 30 nm. The room temperature electrical resistivity of the NiFe2O4 nano-sheets was 107 Ω cm.  相似文献

We have studied the effect of lead dopant on the optical absorption, photoluminescence, and x-ray luminescence spectra, and the scintillation characteristics of CdI2 at room temperature. The crystals for the study were grown by the Stockbarger-Bridgman method. Activation of CdI2 from the melt by the compound PbI2 leads to the appearance in the absorption spectra in the near-edge region of an activator band at 395–405 nm, which is interpreted as an A band connected with electronic transitions from the 1S0 state to the 3P1 levels in the Pb2+ ion. For x-ray excitation, CdI2:Pb2+ crystals with optimal dopant concentration (∼1.0 mol%) are characterized by a light yield with maximum in the 570–580 nm region that is an order of magnitude higher than for CdI2 crystals in the 490–500 nm band. For α excitation, the radioluminescence kinetics for cadmium iodide is characterized by a very short (∼0.3 nsec) rise time and fast decay of luminescence, with τ1 ≈ 4 nsec and τ2 = 10–76 nsec. Depending on the conditions under which the crystals were obtained, the fast component fraction is 95%–99%. The crystal is characterized by a similar scintillation pulse in the case of excitation by x-ray pulses. The radioluminescence pulse shape for CdI2:Pb in the decay stage is predominantly exponential, with luminescence decay time constants τ1 ≈ 10 nsec and τ2 = 200–250 nsec. This system is characterized by low afterglow, at the level for the Bi4G3O12 scintillator. We have demonstrated the feasibility of using CdI2:Pb as a scintillator for detecting α particles. The self-assembled (SA) films formed by gold nanoparticles on iron surface had been proved to have inhibition effect for the substrate in 0.5 M H2SO4 solutions. The inhibition action was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The SA films formed by gold nanoparticles protected with sodium oleate had better corrosion protection to the iron substrate than only by sodium oleate. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the imagines of the SA films. In addition, it was found that the gold nanoparticles could influence the nickel electroless plating films on the iron substrate. The structure and composition of the plating films were test by electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). The mechanisms of the formation of the SA films and the nickel electroless plating reaction were also discussed.  相似文献

A sol–gel route for TiO2 nanocrystals (NCs) synthesis has been developed at low temperature without surfactants. Synthetic and processing parameters have been optimized to maximize particles’ colloidal stability and crystallinity. The obtained TiO2 NCs can be homogeneously dispersed in a sol–gel derived organic–inorganic hybrid material, resulting in homogeneous composite films when prepared by spin coating. High refractive index films were obtained with high TiO2 NCs loading and good transparency. Furthermore, TiO2 colloidal solutions can be used for depositing porous crystalline films, whose structural evolution has been followed under different annealing treatments. Nanocrystals were characterized by UV–Vis absorption, TEM, FT-Raman, and XRD techniques, while nanocomposite and TiO2 films were analyzed by SEM, TEM, and spectroscopic ellipsometry.  相似文献

We propose a new method for obtaining K2Co x Ni1–x (SO4)2⋅6H2O (x = 0, 0.4, 0.8, 1) crystals, involving the use of the chlorides (CoCl2⋅6H2O and NiCl2⋅6H2O) in an aqueous solution instead of the widely used sulfates. We have studied the transmission spectra of the grown single crystals in the range λ = 200–900 nm and the IR reflectance spectra in the 2.5–20 μm region. We have observed a change in the position and intensity of the absorption bands as a function of the composition of the crystals. Based on the Tanabe–Sugano diagrams, we determined the crystal field splitting (Dq) and its dependence on the nickel concentration. Strong green luminescence of Ni2+-doped ZnS nanocrystals   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
ZnS nanoparticles doped with Ni2+ have been obtained by chemical co-precipitation from homogeneous solutions of zinc and nickel salt compounds, with S2- as precipitating anion, formed by decomposition of thioacetamide (TAA). The average size of particles doped with different mole ratios, estimated from the Debye–Scherrer formula, is about 2–2.5 nm. The nanoparticles could be doped with nickel during synthesis without altering the X-ray diffraction pattern. A Hitachi M-850 fluorescence spectrophotometer reveals the emission spectra of samples. The absorption spectra show that the excitation spectra of Ni-doped ZnS nanocrystallites are almost the same as those of pure ZnS nanocrystallites (λex=308–310 nm). Because a Ni2+ luminescent center is formed in ZnS nanocrystallites, the photoluminescence intensity increases with the amount of ZnS nanoparticles doped with Ni2+. Stronger and stable green-light emission (520 nm) (its intensity is about two times that of pure ZnS nanoparticles) has been observed from ZnS nanoparticles doped with Ni2+. We prepared Al2O3 films by laser chemical vapor deposition (LCVD) using a diode laser and aluminum acetylacetonate (Al(acac)3) precursors and investigated the effects of laser power (PL), deposition temperature (Tdep), and total pressure (Ptot) in a reaction chamber on the crystal phase, microstructure, and deposition rate (Rdep). An amorphous phase was obtained at PL = 50 W, whereas an α-phase was obtained at PL > 100 W. At PL = 150 and 200 W (1 0 4)- and (0 1 2)-oriented α-Al2O3 films were obtained, respectively. The Rdep of α-Al2O3 films increases with decreasing PL and Ptot. Single-phase α-Al2O3 film was obtained at Tdep = 928 K, which is about 350 K lower than that obtained by conventional thermal CVD using Al(acac)3 precursor.  相似文献
