A family of 16 isomolecular salts (3‐XpyH)2[MX′4] (3‐XpyH=3‐halopyridinium; M=Co, Zn; X=(F), Cl, Br, (I); X′=Cl, Br, I) each containing rigid organic cations and tetrahedral halometallate anions has been prepared and characterized by X‐ray single crystal and/or powder diffraction. Their crystal structures reflect the competition and cooperation between non‐covalent interactions: N? H???X′? M hydrogen bonds, C? X???X′? M halogen bonds and π–π stacking. The latter are essentially unchanged in strength across the series, but both halogen bonds and hydrogen bonds are modified in strength upon changing the halogens involved. Changing the organic halogen (X) from F to I strengthens the C? X???X′? M halogen bonds, whereas an analogous change of the inorganic halogen (X′) weakens both halogen bonds and N? H???X′? M hydrogen bonds. By so tuning the strength of the putative halogen bonds from repulsive to weak to moderately strong attractive interactions, the hierarchy of the interactions has been modified rationally leading to systematic changes in crystal packing. Three classes of crystal structure are obtained. In type A (C? F???X′? M) halogen bonds are absent. The structure is directed by N? H???X′? M hydrogen bonds and π‐stacking interactions. In type B structures, involving small organic halogens (X) and large inorganic halogens (X′), long (weak) C? X???X′? M interactions are observed with type I halogen–halogen interaction geometries (C? X???X′ ≈ X???X′? M ≈155°), but hydrogen bonds still dominate. Thus, minor but quite significant perturbations from the type A structure arise. In type C, involving larger organic halogens (X) and smaller inorganic halogens (X′), stronger halogen bonds are formed with a type II halogen–halogen interaction geometry (C? X???X′ ≈180°; X???X′? M ≈110°) that is electrostatically attractive. The halogen bonds play a major role alongside hydrogen bonds in directing the type C structures, which as a result are quite different from type A and B.  相似文献

The reaction between M(2)Cl(2)(NMe(2))(4), where M = Mo or W, and Hhpp (8 equiv) in a solid-state melt reaction at 150 degrees C yields the compounds M(2)(hpp)(4)Cl(2) 1a (M = Mo) and 1b (M = W), respectively, by the elimination of HNMe(2) [hpp is the anion derived from deprotonation of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine, Hhpp]. Purification of 1a and 1b is achieved by sublimation of the excess Hhpp and subsequent recrystallization from either CH(2)Cl(2) or CHCl(3) (or CDCl(3)). By single-crystal X-ray crystallography, the structures of 1a and 1b are shown to contain a central paddlewheel-like M(2)(hpp)(4) core with Mo-Mo = 2.1708(8) A (from CH(2)Cl(2)), 2.1574(5) A (from CDCl(3)), W-W = 2.2328(2) A (from CDCl(3)), and M-N = 2.09(1) (av) A. The Cl ligands are axially ligated (linear Cl-M-M-Cl) with abnormally long M-Cl bond distances that, in turn, depend on the presence or absence of hydrogen bonding to chloroform. The quadruply bonded compounds M(2)(hpp)(4), 2a (M = Mo), and 2b (M = W), can be prepared from the reactions between 1,2-M(2)R(2)(NMe(2))(4) compounds, where R = (i)()Bu or p-tolyl, and Hhpp (4 equiv) in benzene by ligand replacement and reductive elimination. The compounds 2a and 2b are readily oxidized, and in chloroform they react to form 1a and 1b, respectively. The electronic structure and bonding in the compounds 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b have been investigated using gradient corrected density functional theory employing Gaussian 98. The bonding in the M-M quadruply bonded compounds, 2a and 2b, reveals M-M delta(2) HOMOs and extensive mixing of M-M pi and nitrogen ligand lone-pair orbitals in a manner qualitatively similar to that of the M(2)(formamidinates)(4). The calculations indicate that in the chloride compounds, 1a and 1b, the HOMO is strongly M-Cl sigma antibonding and weakly M-M sigma bonding in character. Formally there is a M-M triple bond of configuration pi(4)sigma(2), and the LUMO is the M-M delta orbital. An interesting mixing of M-M and M-Cl pi interactions occurs, and an enlightening analogy emerges between these d(4)-d(4) and d(3)-d(3) dinuclear compounds and the bonding in C(2), C(2)H(2), and C(2)Cl(2), which is interrogated herein by simple theoretical calculations together with the potential bonding in axially ligated compounds where strongly covalent M-X bonds are present. The latter were represented by the model compounds M(2)(hpp)(4)(H)(2). On the basis of calculations, we estimate the reactions M(2)(hpp)(4) + X(2) to give M(2)(hpp)(4)X(2) to be enthalpically favorable for X = Cl but not for X = H. These results are discussed in terms of the recent work of Cotton and Murillo and our attempts to prepare parallel-linked oligomers of the type [[bridge]-[M(2)]-](n)().  相似文献

Density functional and correlated ab initio methods were used to calculate, compare, and analyze bonding interactions in late-transition-metal alkyl and heteroatom complexes (M-X). The complexes studied include: (DMPE)Pt(CH(3))(X) (DMPE = 1,2-bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane), Cp*Ru(PMe(3))(2)(X) (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl), (DMPE)(2)Ru(H)(X), (Tp)(CO)Ru(Py)(X) (Tp = trispyrazolylborate), (PMe(3))(2)Rh(C(2)H(4))(X), and cis-(acac)(2)Ir(Py)(X) (acac = acetylacetonate). Seventeen X ligands were analyzed that include alkyl (CR(3)), amido (NR(2)), alkoxo (OR), and fluoride. Energy decomposition analysis of these M-X bonds revealed that orbital charge transfer stabilization provides a straightforward model for trends in bonding along the alkyl to heteroatom ligand series (X = CH(3), NH(2), OH, F). Pauli repulsion (exchange repulsion), which includes contributions from closed-shell d(π)-p(π) repulsion, generally decreases along the alkyl to heteroatom ligand series but depends on the exact M-X complexes. It was also revealed that stabilizing electrostatic interactions generally decrease along this ligand series. Correlation between M-X and H-X bond dissociation energies is good with R(2) values between 0.7 and 0.9. This correlation exists because for both M-X and H-X bonds the orbital stabilization energies are a function of the orbital electronegativity of the X group. The greater than 1 slope when correlating M-X and H-X bond dissociation energies was traced back to differences in Pauli repulsion and electrostatic stabilization.  相似文献

Dynamic NMR experiments on trans-[Pt(Cl)(PHCy2)2[P(X)Cy2]]z where X is a lone pair (1, z = 0), H (2, z = +1), S (3, z = 0), or O (4, z = 0) show that the rotation around the P(X)-Pt bond is hindered for all molecules studied, with deltaG++ ranging from 8.2 to 11.0 kcal/mol. The highest value of the series was calculated for trans-[Pt(Cl)(PHCy2)2[P(O)Cy2]] (4) where intramolecular P=O...H-P interactions act as a molecular brake at room temperature. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction confirms the presence of both intra and intermolecular P=O...H interactions in solid 4. In the case of [Pt(Cl)(PHCy2)3]Cl, multinuclear NMR analysis indicates the presence of a P-H...Cl- interaction in aromatic or halogenated solvents which could have also a minor effect on the rotational barrier around the P(X)-Pt bond.  相似文献

The structures, binding energies, and electronic properties for Al7X, Al7X-, Al13X-, Al13X2-, and Al13X12- (X = F, Cl, Br) were studied at the B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,p) level. Among the systems studied, Al7 and Al13 clusters in Al7X and Al13X- reveal alkali-like and halogen-like superatom characters, respectively. Al7 can bind with one halogen atom to form a salt-like compound as Al7+delta-X-delta. Al13- can combine with one halogen atom to form a diatomic halogen anion Al13X-. However, when adding more halogens, the superatom structure would be destroyed, resulting in low-symmetry compounds with the center Al atom moving toward the cluster surface. The structures of Al13X1,2,12- (X = F, Cl, Br) are similar to those of X = I; however, their binding energies and electron structures are much different. In addition, the analyses of the calculated NBO charges show that Cl and Br have similar properties, but much different from F, when interacting with the Al clusters. The Al-Cl and Al-Br bonds have more covalent character in Al7X and Al13X2,12-, in contrast to the corresponding Al-F bond, which has prominent ionic character.  相似文献

The five-coordinate palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes [M(PP(3))Cl]Cl [M = Pd (1), Pt (2)] (PP(3) = tris[2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyl]phosphine) were prepared by interaction of aqueous solutions of MCl(4)(2-) salts with PP(3) in CHCl(3). Complexes 1 and 2 undergo facile chloro substitution reactions with KCN in 1:1 and 1:2 ratios to afford complexes [M(PP(3))(CN)]Cl [M = Pt (3)] and [M(PP(3))(CN)](CN) [M = Pd (4), Pt (5)] possessing M-C bonds, both in solution and in the solid state. The reaction of 1 and 2 with SnCl(2) in CDCl(3) occurs with insertion of SnCl(2) into M-Cl bonds leading to the formation of [M(PP(3))(SnCl(3))](SnCl(3)) [M = Pd (6), M = Pt (7)]. The isolation as solids of complexes 6 and 7 by addition of SnCl(2) to the precursors requires the presence of PPh(3) which activates the cleavage of M-Cl bonds, favors the SnCl(2) insertion, and does not coordinate to M in any observable extent. Solutions of 6 in CDCl(3) undergo tin dichloride elimination in higher proportion than solutions of 7. The reaction of complexes 1 and 2 with SnPh(2)Cl(2) leads to [M(PP(3))Cl](2)[SnPh(2)Cl(4)] [M = Pd (8)]. Complexes 2, 5, 7, and 8 were shown by X-ray diffraction to contain distorted trigonal bipyramidal monocations [M(PP(3))X](+) [M = Pt, X = Cl(-) (2), X = CN(-) (5), X = SnCl(3)(-) (7); M = Pd, X = Cl(-) (8)], the central P atom of PP(3) being trans to X in axial position and the terminal P donors in the equatorial plane of the bipyramids. The "preformed" catalyst 7 showed a relatively high aldehyde selectivity compared to most of the platinum catalysts.  相似文献

Density functional theory calculations were performed on halogen-bonded and hydrogen-bonded systems consisting of a halobenzene (XPh; X = F, Cl, Br, I, and At) and one or two water molecules, using the M06-2X density functional with the 6-31+G(d) (for C, H, F, Cl, and Br) and aug-cc-pVDZ-PP (for I, At) basis sets. The counterpoise procedure was performed to counteract the effect of basis set superposition error. The results show halogen bonds form in the XPh-H2O system when X > Cl. There is a trend toward stronger halogen bonding as the halogen group is descended, as assessed by interaction energy and X•••Ow internuclear separation (where Ow is the water oxygen). For all XPh-H2O systems hydrogen-bonded systems exist, containing a combination of CH•••Ow and OwHw•••X hydrogen bonds. For all systems except X = At the X•••Hw hydrogen-bonding interaction is stronger than the X•••Ow halogen bond. In the XPh-(H2O)2 system halogen bonds form only for X > Br. The two water molecules prefer to form a water dimer, either located around the C H bond (for X = Br, At, and I) or located above the benzene ring (for all halogens). Thus, even in the absence of competing strong interactions, halogen bonds may not form for the lighter halogens due to (1) competition from cooperative weak interactions such as C H•••O and OH•••X hydrogen bonds, or (2) if the formation of the halogen bond would preclude the formation of a water dimer. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

A zero-valent [M(Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2))(2)] moiety (M = Mo, W) generated in situ by dissociation of the N(2) ligands in trans-[M(N(2))(2)(Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2))(2)] can activate pi-accepting organic molecules including isocyanides and nitriles, which undergo the electrophilic attack caused by a strong pi-donation from a zero-valent metal center. Cleavage of a variety of C-X bonds (X = H, C, N, O, P, halogen) also occurs at their electron-rich sites through oxidative addition to form reactive intermediates, which subsequently degradate to yield smaller molecules either bound to or dissociated from the metal center. The mechanism is substantiated unambiguously by isolation of numerous intermediate stages.  相似文献

The reaction of the in situ generated cyclooctene iridium(I) derivative trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with benzene at 80 degrees C gave a mixture of the five-coordinate dihydrido and hydrido(phenyl) iridium(III) complexes [IrH2(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 2 and [IrH(C6H5)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 3 in the ratio of about 1 : 2. The chloro- and fluoro-substituted arenes C6H5X (X = Cl, F), C6H4F2 and C6H4F(CH3) reacted also by C-H activation to afford the corresponding aryl(hydrido) iridium(III) derivatives [IrH(C6H4X)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 7, 8, [IrH(C6H3F2)(Cl)(PiPr3)2] 9-11 and [IrH[C6H3F(CH3)](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 12, 13, respectively. The formation of isomeric mixtures had been detected by 1H, 13C, 19F and 31P NMR spectroscopy. Treatment of 3 and 7-13 with CO gave the octahedral carbonyl iridium(III) complexes [IrH(C6H3XX')(Cl)(CO)(PiPr3)2] 5, 14-20 without the elimination of the arene. The reactions of trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with aryl ketones C6H5C(O)R (R = Me, Ph), aryl ketoximes C6H5C(NOH)R (R = Me, Ph) and benzaloxime C6H5C(NOH)H resulted in the formation of six-coordinate aryl(hydrido) iridium(III) compounds 21-25 with the aryl ligand coordinated in a bidentate kappa2-C,O or kappa2-C,N fashion. With C6H5C(O)NH2 as the substrate, the two isomers [IrH[kappa2-N,O-NHC(O)C6H5](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 26 and [IrH[kappa2-C,O-C6H4C(O)NH2](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 27 were prepared stepwise. Treatment of trans-[IrCl(C8H14)(PiPr3)2] with benzoic acid gave the benzoato(hydrido) complex [IrH[kappa2-O,O-O2CC6H5](Cl)(PiPr3)2] 29 which did not rearrange to the kappa2-C,O isomer.  相似文献

The competition between hydrogen‐ and halogen‐bonding interactions in complexes of 5‐halogenated 1‐methyluracil (XmU; X = F, Cl, Br, I, or At) with one or two water molecules in the binding region between C5‐X and C4?O4 is investigated with M06‐2X/6‐31+G(d). In the singly‐hydrated systems, the water molecule forms a hydrogen bond with C4?O4 for all halogens, whereas structures with a halogen bond between the water oxygen and C5‐X exist only for X = Br, I, and At. Structures with two waters forming a bridge between C4?O and C5‐X (through hydrogen‐ and halogen‐bonding interactions) exist for all halogens except F. The absence of a halogen‐bonded structure in singly‐hydrated ClmU is therefore attributed to the competing hydrogen‐bonding interaction with C4?O4. The halogen‐bond angle in the doubly‐hydrated structures (150–160°) is far from the expected linearity of halogen bonds, indicating that significantly non‐linear halogen bonds may exist in complex environments with competing interactions. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Three hybrid compounds have been synthesized through hydrothermal reactions of UO(2)(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O with 4-halobenzoic acid (X = Cl, Br, I). The formation of these compounds utilizes a composite synthesis methodology that explicitly employs aspects of both coordination chemistry and supramolecular chemistry (namely halogen···halogen interactions).  相似文献

The optimized geometries and corresponding binding energies of complexes between fluorohalides, FX (X = Cl, Br, and I), and isocyanides, CNY (Y = CN, NC, NO(2), F, CF(3), Cl, Br, H, CCF, CCH, CH(3), SiH(3), Li, and Na), were calculated at the MP2(Full)/aug-cc-pVTZ (aug-cc-pVTZ-PP on I) level of theory, without and with basis set superposition error (BSSE) corrections through the counterpoise (CP) method. The optimized complex geometries were analyzed through the Steiner-Limbach relationship, which can be used to establish correlations between the F-X and X-C bond lengths. For all complexes, the correlations were shown to improve considerably when using optimized geometries including BSSE corrections. It was shown that further improvements can be achieved through the introduction of an extended four-parameter form of the Steiner-Limbach relationship which accounts for all differences between the valences associated with the two bonds involving the halogen in an A-X···B complex. The results indicate that chlorine as a halogen bond donor is affected by the basicity of the isocyanides and forms different types of halogen bonds as the F-Cl bond lengthens in parallel with the shortening of the distance between Cl and the isocyanide carbon. This is not observed for iodine and bromine as halogen-bond donors, which is illustrated by the low levels of correlation obtained when applying the standard and extended Steiner-Limbach relationships to the corresponding complexes.  相似文献

The reactions of gas-phase Cu(+)((1)S) and Cu(+)((3)D) with CF(3)X and CH(3)X (X = Cl, Br, and I) have been examined experimentally using the drift cell technique at 3.5 Torr in He at room temperature. State-specific product channels and overall bimolecular rate constants for depletion of the two Cu(+) states were determined using electronic state chromatography. The results showed that Cu(+)((1)S) participates exclusively in association with all of these neutrals, whereas, depending on the neutral, Cu(+)((3)D) initiates up to three bimolecular processes, resulting in the formation of CuX(+), CuC(H/F)(3)(+), and C(H/F)(3)X(+). Possible structures for the singlet association products were explored using density functional methods. These calculations indicated that Cu(+) preferentially associates with the labile halogen (Cl, Br, I) with all neutrals except CF(3)Cl, for which a "backside" geometry occurs in which Cu(+)((1)S) is weakly bound to the -CF(3) end of the molecule. All products observed on the triplet reaction surface can be understood in terms of either known or calculated thermochemical requirements. Product distributions and overall reaction efficiencies for C-X bond activation (X = Br, I) through Cu(+)((3)D) suggest that the orientation of the neutral dipole has little or no effect in controlling access to specific product channels. Likewise, second-order rate constants for reactions with X = Br and I indicate efficient depletion of Cu(+)((3)D) and do not exhibit the dramatic variations in reaction efficiency previously observed with CH(3)Cl and CF(3)Cl. These results suggest that C-X bond activation proceeds through a bond-insertion mechanism as opposed to direct abstraction.

Rhodium(I) complexes trans-[RhCl(CO)(PR(2)[NC(4)H(3)C(O)Me-2])(2)] (R = Ph, NC(4)H(4)) react with water to give the diphosphoxane-bridged dimers [Rh(2)Cl(2)(CO)(2)(mu-PR(2)OPR(2))(2)] following cleavage of the P-N bonds to the 2-acetyl-N-pyrrolyl groups. The two dimers have been crystallographically characterized and show a number of structural differences, with the PPh(2)OPPh(2) compound possessing semibridging chloride and carbonyl ligands whereas the P(NC(4)H(4))(2)OP(NC(4)H(4))(2) compound contains only terminal chlorides and carbonyls. No evidence for cleavage of the P-N bonds involving the unfunctionalized N-pyrrolyl groups in trans-[RhCl(CO)(P[NC(4)H(4)](2)[NC(4)H(3)C(O)Me-2])(2)] was observed.

A series of unusual dinuclear mu2-(eta2-NO)-nitrosoaniline-bridged complexes [[(CO)3Re(mu-X)]2ONC6H4NR2] (X = Cl, Br, I; R = Me, Et) with dichroic properties have been synthesised by reaction of pentacarbonylhalogenorhenium(I) [(CO)5ReX] (X = Cl, Br, I) with the corresponding nitrosoaniline derivatives R2NC6H4NO (R = Me, Et). The deeply coloured solutions in CH2Cl2 show broad UV/Vis absorptions from 595 to 620 nm depending on the halogen bridges and N substituents. Single crystals of all six compounds exhibit a pronounced linear dichroism. The molecular structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray analyses. All the compounds contain two face-shared octahedra, with two halogens and one NO ligand as bridges. The NO ligand coordinates in a nonsymmetrical eta2-like fashion with N or O coordination to each Re centre. Therefore, the C-nitroso group and the planar NC2 moiety of NR2 both lie almost exactly within the symmetry plane of the dinuclear complexes. These complexes belong to the novel and simple class of neutral dinuclear C-nitroso complexes that include the rare, non-assisted mu2-(eta2-NO) ligand function and have only single halogen atoms in bridging positions.  相似文献

Various highly fluorinated cyclopropanes 1 were prepared by reaction of the appropriate fluorinated olefins with hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) at 180 degrees C. The fluorinated nitrile 1e was converted to the triazine derivatives 2a and 2b by catalysis with Ag(2)O and NH(3)/(CF(3)CO)(2)O, respectively. The fluorinated cyclopropanes reacted with halogens at elevated temperatures to provide the first useful, general synthesis of 1,3-dihalopolyfluoropropanes. At 150-240 degrees C, hexafluorocyclopropane and halogens X(2) produce XCF(2)CF(2)CF(2)X (X = Cl, Br, I) in 50-80% isolated yields. Pentafluorocyclopropanes c-C(3)F(5)Y [Y = Cl, OCF(3), OC(3)F(7) and OCF(2)CF(CF(3))OCF(2)CF(2)Z; Z = SO(2)F, CN, CO(2)Me] react regiospecifically at 150 degrees C to give XCF(2)CF(2)CFXY, c-C(3)F(5)Br reacts regioselectively with Br(2) to give a 16.7:1 mixture of BrCF(2)CF(2)CFBr(2):BrCF(2)CFBrCF(2)Br, whereas c-C(3)F(5)H reacts unselectively with I(2) to produce a statistical 2:1 mixture of ICF(2)CF(2)CFHI:ICF(2)CFHCF(2)I. Tri- and di(pentafluorocyclopropyl) derivatives 2 also undergo ring-opening reaction with halogens to give 16 and 17. Upon treatment of tetrafluorocyclopropanes 1j, 1k, and 1l with Br(2) or I(2), ring opening occurred exclusively at substituted carbons to give XCF(2)CF(2)CXY(2). Thermolysis of the ring-opened product ICF(2)CF(2)CFIOR(F) at 240 degrees C gave R(F)I and ICF(2)CF(2)COF in high yields.  相似文献

This paper deals with the preparation and structural investigation of asymmetric bis(silyl) niobocene hydrides, Cp2Nb(SiHMe2)(H)(SiXMe2) (2; X = F (a), Cl (b), Br (c), I (d)) and Cp2Nb(SiXMe2)(H)(SiYMe2) (X,Y= F-I; X not equal Y). Complexes 2a-d were prepared by selective electrophilic activation of the Si-H bond in Cp2Nb(SiHMe2)2(H). The Cp2Nb(SiXMe2)(H)(SiYMe2) complexes were prepared by electrophilic activation of the Si-H bond in 2a-d and, in some cases, by electrophilic exchange of the X halides in Cp2Nb(SiXMe2)2(H) (1) for other halides, Y. The structures of complexes 2b and 2c have been studied by X-ray and neutron diffraction (ND). The ND results unequivocally established that the hydride ligand in 2c is shifted toward the SiBrMe2 ligand and that in 2b is positioned symmetrically between two nonequivalent silyl groups, with the H...SiClMe2 distance being shorter because of the shorter Nb-SiClMe2 bond length. Analysis of the X-ray structures of complexes 2a-d and complexes Cp2Nb(SiXMe2)(H)(SiYMe2) shows that the largest structural distortions are observed for the silyl groups substituted by heavy halogen atoms. These trends are rationalized in terms of stronger interligand hypervalent interactions (IHI) Nb-H...Si-X for heavy atoms X from Group 7.  相似文献

The reaction of [Pt3(mu-CO)3(PCy3)3](1) with one mole-equivalent of iodo-acetonitrile was quantitative at -70 degrees C giving the oxidative addition product [Pt3(mu-CO)3(PCy3)3(I)(CH2CN)](2). Fragmentation of was observed in solution giving [Pt2I(CH2CN)(CO)2(PCy3)2](3) which is the major product at room temperature if the starting cluster/reactant ratio is equal to or less than 1 to 1.5. Dimer 3 decomposes slowly in solution giving [Pt2I2(CO)2(PCy3)2](4a) and succinonitrile. Monomer [PtI(CH2CN)(CO)(PCy3)] was the final product of the reaction when using excess of iodo-acetonitrile. The reactions of with one mole-equivalent of halogens X2 gave the new 44-electron clusters [Pt3X(micro-CO)2(micro-X)(PCy3)3](X = I2(7a) or Br2(7b)) by oxidative addition followed by substitution of CO by X-. Fragmentation of and took place in solution when using one and a half mole-equivalents of X2 giving dimers 4a and [Pt2Br2(CO)2(PCy3)2](4b) as well as [Pt2X2(mu-X)2(CO)2(PCy3)2]. Monomers cis-[PtX2(CO)(PCy3)] were the final products of the reaction of with excess of halogens. Insertion of SnCl2 was observed into the Pt-Pt bond but not into the Pt-X bond, when equimolar amounts of SnCl2 x 2H2O were added to a solution of 4a or its chloro-analogue giving [Pt2X2(micro-SnCl2)(CO)2(PCy3)2]. The Pt(I) dimers have unusually small J(Pt-Pt) values as observed by 195Pt NMR and calculated by DFT. These values showed periodic changes comparing 4a and its analogues with other halides and mixed halide dimers.  相似文献
