Motivated by energy space representation of Dirac operators, in the sense of K. Friedrichs, we recently introduced the notion of closely embedded Kre?n spaces. These spaces are associated to unbounded selfadjoint operators that play the role of kernel operators, in the sense of L. Schwartz, and they are special representations of induced Kre?n spaces. In this article we present a canonical representation of closely embedded Kre?n spaces in terms of a generalization of the notion of operator range and obtain a characterization of uniqueness. When applied to Dirac operators, the results differ according to a mass or a massless particle in a dramatic way: in the case of a particle with a nontrivial mass we obtain a dual of a Sobolev type space and we have uniqueness, while in the case of a massless particle we obtain a dual of a homogenous Sobolev type space and we lose uniqueness.  相似文献

We obtain an explicit expression for the norms of the embedding operators of the periodic Sobolev spaces into the space of continuous functions (the norms of this type are usually called embedding constants). The corresponding formulas for the embedding constants express them in terms of the values of the well-known Epstein zeta function which depends on the smoothness exponent s of the spaces under study and the dimension n of the space of independent variables. We establish that the embeddings under consideration have the embedding functions coinciding up to an additive constant and a scalar factor with the values of the corresponding Epstein zeta function. We find the asymptotics of the embedding constants as sn/2.  相似文献

The structure of non-compactness of optimal Sobolev embeddings of m-th order into the class of Lebesgue spaces and into that of all rearrangement-invariant function spaces is quantitatively studied. Sharp two-sided estimates of Bernstein numbers of such embeddings are obtained. It is shown that, whereas the optimal Sobolev embedding within the class of Lebesgue spaces is finitely strictly singular, the optimal Sobolev embedding in the class of all rearrangement-invariant function spaces is not even strictly singular.  相似文献

We introduce and study in a general setting the concept of homogeneity of an operator and, in particular, the notion of homogeneity of an integral operator. In the latter case, homogeneous kernels of such operators are also studied. The concept of homogeneity is associated with transformations of a measure—measure dilations, which are most natural in the context of our general research scheme. For the study of integral operators, the notions of weak and strong homogeneity of the kernel are introduced. The weak case is proved to generate a homogeneous operator in the sense of our definition, while the stronger condition corresponds to the most relevant specific examples—classes of homogeneous integral operators on various metric spaces—and allows us to obtain an explicit general form for the kernels of such operators. The examples given in the article—various specific cases—illustrate general statements and results given in the paper and at the same time are of interest in their own way.  相似文献

We introduce a vector differential operator P and a vector boundary operator B to derive a reproducing kernel along with its associated Hilbert space which is shown to be embedded in a classical Sobolev space. This reproducing kernel is a Green kernel of differential operator L:?=?P ???T P with homogeneous or nonhomogeneous boundary conditions given by B, where we ensure that the distributional adjoint operator P ??? of P is well-defined in the distributional sense. We represent the inner product of the reproducing-kernel Hilbert space in terms of the operators P and B. In addition, we find relationships for the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the reproducing kernel and the operators with homogeneous or nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. These eigenfunctions and eigenvalues are used to compute a series expansion of the reproducing kernel and an orthonormal basis of the reproducing-kernel Hilbert space. Our theoretical results provide perhaps a more intuitive way of understanding what kind of functions are well approximated by the reproducing kernel-based interpolant to a given multivariate data sample.  相似文献

This paper uses frame techniques to characterize the Schatten class properties of integral operators. The main result shows that if the coefficients {〈k,Φm,n〉} of certain frame expansions of the kernel k of an integral operator are in ?2,p, then the operator is Schatten p-class. As a corollary, we conclude that if the kernel or Kohn-Nirenberg symbol of a pseudodifferential operator lies in a particular mixed modulation space, then the operator is Schatten p-class. Our corollary improves existing Schatten class results for pseudodifferential operators and the corollary is sharp in the sense that larger mixed modulation spaces yield operators that are not Schatten class.  相似文献

This paper studies the integral representation of the W-weighted Drazin inverse for bounded linear operators between Hilbert spaces. By using operator matrix blocks, some integral representations of the W-weighted Drazin inverse for Hilbert space operators are established.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a generalized Sobolev space by defining a semi-inner product formulated in terms of a vector distributional operator P consisting of finitely or countably many distributional operators P n , which are defined on the dual space of the Schwartz space. The types of operators we consider include not only differential operators, but also more general distributional operators such as pseudo-differential operators. We deduce that a certain appropriate full-space Green function G with respect to L := P *T P now becomes a conditionally positive function. In order to support this claim we ensure that the distributional adjoint operator P * of P is well-defined in the distributional sense. Under sufficient conditions, the native space (reproducing-kernel Hilbert space) associated with the Green function G can be embedded into or even be equivalent to a generalized Sobolev space. As an application, we take linear combinations of translates of the Green function with possibly added polynomial terms and construct a multivariate minimum-norm interpolant s f,X to data values sampled from an unknown generalized Sobolev function f at data sites located in some set X ì \mathbbRd{X \subset \mathbb{R}^d}. We provide several examples, such as Matérn kernels or Gaussian kernels, that illustrate how many reproducing-kernel Hilbert spaces of well-known reproducing kernels are equivalent to a generalized Sobolev space. These examples further illustrate how we can rescale the Sobolev spaces by the vector distributional operator P. Introducing the notion of scale as part of the definition of a generalized Sobolev space may help us to choose the “best” kernel function for kernel-based approximation methods.  相似文献

The generalized eigenvalue problem for an arbitrary self-adjoint operator is solved in a Gelfand triple consisting of three Hilbert spaces. The proof is based on a measure theoretical version of the Sobolev lemma, and the multiplicity theory for self-adjoint operators. As an application necessary and sufficient conditions are mentioned such that a self-adjoint operator in L2(R) has (generalized) eigenfunctions which are tempered distributions.  相似文献

Optimal higher-order Sobolev type embeddings are shown to follow via isoperimetric inequalities. This establishes a higher-order analogue of a well-known link between first-order Sobolev embeddings and isoperimetric inequalities. Sobolev type inequalities of any order, involving arbitrary rearrangement-invariant norms, on open sets in RnRn, possibly endowed with a measure density, are reduced to much simpler one-dimensional inequalities for suitable integral operators depending on the isoperimetric function of the relevant sets. As a consequence, the optimal target space in the relevant Sobolev embeddings can be determined both in standard and in non-standard classes of function spaces and underlying measure spaces. In particular, our results are applied to any-order Sobolev embeddings in regular (John) domains of the Euclidean space, in Maz'ya classes of (possibly irregular) Euclidean domains described in terms of their isoperimetric function, and in families of product probability spaces, of which the Gauss space is a classical instance.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the regularity of linear embeddings of finite-dimensional subsets of Hilbert and Banach spaces into Euclidean spaces. We study orthogonal sequences in a Hilbert space H, whose elements tend to zero, and similar sequences in the space c0 of null sequences. The examples studied show that the results due to Hunt and Kaloshin (Regularity of embeddings of infinite-dimensional fractal sets into finite-dimensional spaces, Nonlinearity 12 (1999) 1263-1275) and Robinson (Linear embeddings of finite-dimensional subsets of Banach spaces into Euclidean spaces, Nonlinearity 22 (2009) 711-728) for subsets of Hilbert and Banach spaces with finite box-counting dimension are asymptotically sharp. An analogous argument allows us to obtain a lower bound for the power of the logarithmic correction term in an embedding theorem proved by Olson and Robinson (Almost bi-Lipschitz embeddings and almost homogeneous sets, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 362 (1) (2010) 145-168) for subsets X of Hilbert spaces when XX has finite Assouad dimension.  相似文献

Finite-rank perturbations of a semibounded self-adjoint operator A are studied in a scale of Hilbert spaces associated with A. The notion of quasispace of boundary values is used to describe self-adjoint operator realizations of regular and singular perturbations of the operator A by the same formula. As an application, the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator with generalized zero-range potential is studied in the Sobolev space W 2 p (?), p ∈ ?.  相似文献

We obtain the boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators T of non-convolution type on Hardy spaces H p (X) for 1/(1 + ε) < p ? 1, where X is a space of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss (1971), and ε is the regularity exponent of the kernel of the singular integral operator T. Our approach relies on the discrete Littlewood-Paley-Stein theory and discrete Calderón’s identity. The crucial feature of our proof is to avoid atomic decomposition and molecular theory in contrast to what was used in the literature.  相似文献

We study the extension properties of Orlicz-Sobolev functions both in Euclidean spaces and in metric measure spaces equipped with a doubling measure. We show that a set ER satisfying a measure density condition admits a bounded linear extension operator from the trace space W1,Ψ(Rn)E| to W1,Ψ(Rn). Then we show that a domain, in which the Sobolev embedding theorem or a Poincaré-type inequality holds, satisfies the measure density condition. It follows that the existence of a bounded, possibly non-linear extension operator or even the surjectivity of the trace operator implies the measure density condition and hence the existence of a bounded linear extension operator.  相似文献

We present simple proofs of the possibility of embedding ultrametric spaces in Hilbert spaces. The main part of the paper deals with ultrametric spaces that we call totally infinite spaces. Related Hilbert spaces, automorphisms of totally infinite spaces, and the corresponding linear operators are considered. We study the embeddings of (homogeneous and inhomogeneous) anisotropic Besov spaces associated to an expansive matrix A into Sobolev spaces, with a focus on the influence of A on the embedding behavior. For a large range of parameters, we derive sharp characterizations of embeddings.  相似文献

Sufficient conditions on the kernel and the grandizer that ensure the boundedness of integral operators with homogeneous kernels in grand Lebesgue spaces on ? n as well as an upper bound for their norms are obtained. For some classes of grandizers, necessary conditions and lower bounds for the norm of these operators are also obtained. In the case of a radial kernel, stronger estimates are established in terms of one-dimensional grand norms of spherical means of the function. A sufficient condition for the boundedness of the operator with homogeneous kernel in classical Lebesgue spaces with arbitrary radial weight is obtained. As an application, boundedness in grand spaces of the one-dimensional operator of fractional Riemann–Liouville integration and of a multidimensional Hilbert-type operator is studied.  相似文献

Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators have been extensively studied for almost half a century. This paper provides a context for and proof of the following result: If a Calderón-Zygmund convolution singular integral operator is bounded on the Hardy space H1 (Rn), then the homogeneous of degree zero kernel is in the Hardy space H1(Sn–1) on the sphere.  相似文献
