Abstract

A homologous series of di(4-alkyloxybenzoates) of 4,4′-dimercaptobiphenyl: CH3(CH2) n-1O?C6H4?COS?C6H4?C6H4?SOC?C6H4?O(CH2) n-1CH3,n=1–7, has been synthesized and the thermotropic liquid-crystalline behaviour investigated. All compounds exhibit enantiotropic mesomorphism over a remarkable temperature range. While the mesophase thermal stability is moderately higher than that found for the corresponding oxygenated analogues, the smectic stability is definitely lower. In fact, all the compounds are nematic but smectic mesomorphism (SC) is observed for n = 7. Compounds with n = 6 or 7 exhibit enantiotropic highly ordered smectic (or disordered crystal) phases, probably SG in type.  相似文献

Some new β-diketone derivatives of boron having the general formula B2O(OAc)4?n[OC(R)C:CON(Ph)N:C CH3]n (where n = 1 or 2; R = CH3, C2H5, C6H5 and p-ClC6H4) have been synthesised by the reactions of oxy-bis(diacetatoborane) and substituted pyrazolones, such as 4-acyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-ones (acyl = acetyl, propionyl, benzoyl and p-chlorobenzoyl) in dry toluene solution in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios. These derivatives have been characterised by elemental analysis, molecular weight measurements. Structures have been proposed on the basis of chemical reactions, IR, 1H and 11B NMR spectral studies.In the derivatives B2O(OAc)3[OC(R)C:CON(Ph)N:C CH3] two of the three acetate groups are unidentate and the third is bridged between two boron atoms along with BOB linkage. Whereas the derivatives B2O(OAc)2[OC(R)C:CON(Ph)N:C CH3]2 are the mixture of geometrical isomers.  相似文献

Solvent transports across the perfluorosulfonic acid-type membrane Flemion S were measured for aqueous electrolyte solutions under a temperature difference and under an osmotic pressure difference. H+, Li+, Na+, K+, NH 4 + , CH3NH 3 + , (CH3)2NH 2 + , (CH3)3NH+, (CH3)4N+, (C2H5)4N+, (n-C3H7)4N+ and (n-C4H9)4N+ were used as counterions. Water flux across the membrane in HCl solution is higher than that in the other electrolyte solutions because hydrogen ions can exchange with the hydrogen of the neighbor water molecules and contribute to the water transport across the membrane as a proton jump in conductivity. The direction of thermoosmosis across the membrane in HCl, NaCl, (CH3)4NCl and (C2H5)4NCl solutions was from the cold side to the hot side and that in LiCl, KCl, NH4Cl, CH3NH3Cl, (CH3)2NH2Cl and (n-C4H9)4NBr solutions was from the hot side to the cold side, although thermoosmosis across anion-exchange membranes always occurs toward the hot side.  相似文献

Lanthanum(III) tris(dithiophosphates), [La{S2P(OR)2}3] (where R=-CH2CH2CH3 or -C6H5) and [La{S2PO2G}3] [where G=-C(CH3)2CH2CH(CH3)-, -CH2C(CH3)2CH2-, -C(CH3)2C(CH3)2- and -CH2CH2CH(CH3)-] were prepared in methanolic solutions of anhydrous LaCl3 and ammonium dithiophosphates. Addition complexes of the type [La{S2P(OR)2}3·nL] and [La{S2PO2G}3·nL] [where n = 1, L = N2C10H8 or N2C12H8 and n = 2, L = P(C6H5)3] were prepared by reaction of lanthanum(III) tris(dithiophosphates) and nitrogen or phosphorus donor bases in benzene. These newly synthesized derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weights, IR, 1H and 31P NMR spectral measurements. Coordination numbers of six and eight are suggested for lanthanum(III) in these derivatives.  相似文献

Thorium(IV) tetrakis(dithiophosphates), [Th{S2P(OR)2}4] (where R?=?–CH2CH2CH3 or –C6H5) and [Th{S2PO2G}4] [where G?=?–C(CH3)2CH2CH(CH3)–, –CH2C(CH3)2CH2–, –C(CH3)2C(CH3)2– and –CH2CH2CH(CH3)–] were prepared in methanolic solution of Th(NO3)4???6H2O and ammonium dithiophosphates. Adducts of the type [Th{S2P(OR)2}4???nL] and [Th{S2PO2G}4???nL] [where n?=?1, L?=?N2C10H8 or N2C12H8 and n?=?2, L?=?P(C6H5)3] were prepared by the reaction of thorium(IV) tetrakis(dithiophosphates) and nitrogen or phosphorus donors in benzene. These newly synthesised derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weights, IR, 1H and 31P NMR spectral measurements. Twelve new germanium substituted diphenyltin dipropionates with the general formula (R1GeCHR2‐CHR3COO)2SnPh2 where R1 = N(CH2CH2O)3, (C6H5)3 and (CH3C6H4)3, R2 = H, CH3, C6H5, p‐CH3C6H4, p‐CH3OC6H4, p‐ClC6H4, and R3 = H, CH3 have been synthesized by the reaction of diphenyltin oxide with a germanium substituted propionic acid. All the compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, multi‐nuclear (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopies as well as mass spectrometry. The in vitro antibacterial activity of selected compounds is also reported.  相似文献

A series of arylantimony ferrocenecarboxylates with the formula (C5H5FeC5H4CO2)nSbAr(5?n) (n = 1, 2; Ar = C6H5, 4‐CH3C6H4, 3‐CH3C6H4, 2‐CH3C6H4, 4‐ClC6H4, 4‐FC6H4) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra. The crystal structures of (C5H5FeC5H4CO2)2Sb(4‐CH3C6H4)3 and C5H5FeC5H4CO2SbPh4 were determined by X‐ray diffraction. Four human neoplastic cell lines (HL‐60, Bel‐7402, KB and Hela) were used to screen these compounds. The results indicate that these compounds at 10 µM show certain in vitro antitumor activities. Summary The reaction of Na2S n (from Na2S + S8) with SCl2 in anhydrous and deaerated alcohols (C1 to C5) yields polysulphanes, H2S n , which were identified by HPLC at a bonded C18 phase with methanol eluent, as well as by some typical reactions. Chain lengths up to n=16 were found. The H2S n decompose slowly under Ar, yielding H2S and sulphur homocycles S n–1. With alkali they are rapidly decomposed to H2S and S8. The retention of H2S n is much closer to that of the sulphur ring having the same sulphur atom number than to that of dialkylpolysulphide of comparable molecular size. The SH-groups cause only very little increase in solute solvophilic properties.

Zusammenfassung Bei der Reaktion von Na2S n (aus Na2S + S8) in Alkoholen (C1 bis C5) mit SCl2 unter Argon entstehen Produkte, die aufgrund ihres Verhaltens bei der HPLC an einer C18-Phase mit rein methanolischem Eluens sowie durch einige Reaktionen als Polysulfane H2S n erkannt wurden. S-Ketten bis n=16 wurden gefunden. Die H2S n zersetzen sich unter Ar langsam zu H2S und Schwefelringen H2S n–1. Durch Alkali zerfallen sie sehr schnell in H2S und S8. Die Retention der H2S n ist der der Schwefelringe mit gleichem n viel ähnlicher als der etwa gleich großer Dialkylpolysulfide. Die SH-Gruppen haben nur einen sehr kleinen solvophilen Effekt.

The kinetics of the reaction of MoOS2(S2CNR2)2 (R = CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7) with PPh3 have been studied using a Stopped-flow method. It was found that these MoOS2(S2CNR2)2 complexes react with PPh3 in the form of an irreversible second-order reaction. The rate constants at 25°C are respectively 48.4, 23.8, and 20.8 mol?1 dm3 s?1 and the activation energies are 4.8, 4.9, and 5.0 Kcal/mol with R = CH3, C2H5, and n-C3H7.  相似文献

Some new penta-and hexa-coordinated diorganotin complexes of heterocyclic β-diketones having the general formula (n-C4H9)2Sn(OPr1)2?n[RCOC:CON(C6H5) N:CCH3]n (where R?? CH3, ? C6H5 and p-Cl? C6H4 and n = 1 and 2) have been synthesized and were screened for their insecticidal activity against Rhizopertha dominica (Fabricius), the lesser grain borer. Reaction between methane and sulfur vapor (mainly S2) has been studied at 773–1073 K in the presence of possible catalysts and in the absence of a catalyst. Reaction was carried out in a silica tube reactor at a total pressure of 1 atm with excess methane, with prereaction sulfidation using H2S/H2. Sm2O3 had significant catalytic effect on CH4 conversion, but all other potential catalysts (including Li/MgO) gave CH4 conversion close to that in the absence of catalyst. CS2 was the major product, accompanied by C2 coupling product which in most cases was predominantly C2H4 with some C2H6. In some cases, small amounts of C3, C4 hydrocarbons and CH3SH, (CH3)2S, (CH3)2S2 were also found. Experiments with varying space velocity indicated that C2H6 was the primary coupling product. Possible reaction pathways are discussed in terms of homogeneous CH3·generation, augmented by CH3. generated heterogeneously at the surface of sulfided Sm2O3. Sulfidation of Li/MgO is considered to be the reason for the inactivity of this potential catalyst.  相似文献

Reported here are the single‐crystal X‐ray structure analyses of bis‐μ‐methanol‐κ4O:O‐bis{[hydrotris(3‐phenyl‐2‐sulfanylidene‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐1,3‐imidazol‐1‐yl)borato‐κ3H,S,S′](methanol‐κO)sodium(I)}, [Na2(C27H22BN6S3)2(CH4O)4] (NaTmPh), bis‐μ‐methanol‐κ4O:O‐bis{[hydrotris(3‐isopropyl‐2‐sulfanylidene‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐1,3‐imidazol‐1‐yl)borato‐κ3H,S,S′](methanol‐κO)sodium(I)}–diethyl ether–methanol (1/0.3333/0.0833), [Na2(C18H28BN6S3)2(CH4O)4]·0.3333C4H10O·0.0833CH3OH (NaTmiPr), and a novel anhydrous form of sodium hydrotris(methylthioimidazolyl)borate, poly[[μ‐hydrotris(3‐methyl‐2‐sulfanylidene‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐1,3‐imidazol‐1‐yl)borato]sodium(I)], [Na(C12H16BN6S3)] ([NaTmMe]n). NaTmiPr and NaTmPh have similar dimeric molecular structures with κ3H,S,S′‐bonding, but they differ in that NaTmPh is crystallographically centrosymmetric (Z′ = 0.5) while NaTmiPr contains one crystallographically centrosymmetric dimer and one dimer positioned on a general position (Z′ = 1.5). [NaTmMe]n is a one‐dimensional coordination polymer that extends along the a direction and which contains a hitherto unseen side‐on η2‐C=S‐to‐Na bond type. An overview of the structural preferences of alkali metal soft scorpionate complexes is presented. This analysis suggests that these thione‐based ligands will continue to be a rich source of interesting alkali metal motifs worthy of isolation and characterization.  相似文献

The behaviour under electron impact (70 eV) which includes some rearrangement processes of some tetraorganodiphosphanedisulfides R2P(S)-P(S)R2 (R ? CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, C3H5, C6H5) and CH3RP(S)–P(S)CH3R (R ? C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, C6H5, C6H5, C6H5,CH2) is reported and discussed. Fragmentation patterns which are consistent with direct analysis of daughter ions and defocusing metastable spectra are given. The atomic composition of many of the fragment ions was determined by precise mass measurements. In contrast to compounds R3P(S) loss of sulphur is not a common process here. The first step in the fragmentation of these compounds is cleavage of one P–C bond and loss of a substituent R?. The second step is elimination of RPS leading to [R2PS]+ from which the base peaks in nearly all the spectra arise. The phenyl substituted compounds give spectra with very abundant [(C6H5)3P]+. and [(C6H5)2CH3P]+. ions respectively, resulting from [M]+. by migration of C6H5. Rearrangement of [M]+. to a 4-membered P-S ring system prior to fragmentation is suggested.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Untersucht wurde die Löslichkeit von Na2SeO4 in den organischen Lösungsmitteln CH3OH, C2H5OH,n-C3H7OH und Aceton bei 20°, 30°, 40°, 50°C und die Dichte der so erhaltenen gesätt. Lösungen bestimmt. Das Verhalten von Na2SeO4·10 H2O zu diesen organischen Lösungsmitteln zeigte Entwässerung zu Na2SeO4 in CH3OH und C2H5OH, während bein-C3H7OH und Aceton der Entwässerungsprozeß nicht zu Ende geht. Es wurde auch die Löslichkeit von Na2SeO4·10 H2O in obigen Lösungsmitteln sowie die Dichte der Lösungen bestimmt.
The solubility of Na2SeO4 and the behaviour of Na2SeO4·10H2O in organic solvents
The solubility of Na2SeO4 in the organic solvents CH3OH, C2H5OH,n-C3H7OH and acetone at 20°, 30°, 40° and 50°C has been determined, and the specific gravity of the solutions measured. The behaviour of Na2SeO4·10 H2O in the same solvents was also studied. Dehydration to Na2SeO4 occurs in CH3CH and C2H5OH, whereas inn-C3H7OH and acetone, dehydration is incomplete. The solubility of Na2SeO4·10 H2O in these solvents and the specific gravity of the solutions have also been determined.

In den achtgliedrigen SN-Ringen haben die Schwefelatome die Koordinationszahl 3 und 4. Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse von 4a ergab eine Sessel-Konformation. 4a kristallisiert orthorhombisch in der Raumgruppe Pna21 mit a = 17,641(4), b = 6,406(2), c = 19,130(4) Å, dx = 1,815 g cm?3 und Z = 4. Die mittleren S? N-Abstände betragen an den vierfach koordinierten Schwefelatomen 1,597 Å und an den Schwefelatomen mit der Koordinationszahl 3 1,650 Å. CF3SO2N? SCl2 reagiert mit trimethylzinnhaltigen S? N-Verbindungen zum bekannten CF3SO2N[Sn(CH3)3]S(CH3)NSO2CF3 und Dimethylzinndichlorid. Synthesis and X-Ray Structure Analysis of S4N4-Derivatives with Threefold and Fourfold Coordinated Sulfur Atoms CF3SO2N?SCl2 reacts with (CH3)2S[NSi(CH3)3]2, (C4H8)S[NSi(CH3)3]2 or (C5H10S[NSi(CH3)2]2 under elimination of (CH3)3SiCl to yield the eight-membered S4N4 derivatives S4N4?NSO2CF3)2(CH3)4, 3 , S4N4(NSO2CF3)2(C4H8)2 4a und S4N4(NSO2CF3)2(C5H1 0)2 4b . In the eight-membered SN-rings the sulfur atoms have the coordination number 3 and 4. The X-ray structure analysis of 4a revealed a chair conformation. 4a crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pna21 with a = 17.641(4), b = 6.406(2), c = 19.130(4) Å, dx = 1.815 g cm?3, and Z = 4. The average S? N distance was found to be 1.597 Å at fourfold coordinated sulfur atoms and 1.650 Å at sulfur with coordination number 3. CF3SO2N=SCl2 reacts with trimethyl tin-containing S? N compounds to the known CF3SO2N[Sn(CH3)3]S(CH3)NSO2CF3 and dimethyl tin dichloride.  相似文献

Cyclopentadienyl cobalt complexes (η5‐C5H4R) CoLI2 [L = CO,R=‐COOCH2CH=CH2 (3); L=PPh3, R=‐COOCH2‐CH=CH2 (6); L=P(p‐C6H4O3)3, R = ‐COOC(CH3) = CH2 (7), ‐COOCH2C6H5 (8), ‐COOCH2CH = CH2 (9)] were prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, 1H NMR, ER and UV‐vis spectra. The reaction of complexes (η5‐C5H4R)CoLI2 [L= CO, R= ‐COOC(CH3) = CH2 (1), ‐COOCH2C6H5(2); L=PPh3, R=‐COOC (CH3) = CH2 (4), ‐COOCH2C6H5 (5)] with Na‐Hg resulted in the formation of their corresponding substituted cobaltocene (η5‐C5H4R)2 Co[R=‐COOC(CH3) = CH2 (10), ‐COOCH2C6H5 (11)]. The electrochemical properties of these complexes 1–11 were studied by cyclic voltammetry. It was found that as the ligand (L) of the cobalt (III) complexes changing from CO to PPh3 and P(p‐tolyl)3, their oxidation potentials increased gradually. The cyclic voltammetry of α,α′‐substituted cobaltocene showed reversible oxidation of one electron process.  相似文献

The kinetics of thermal decomposition of solid In(S2CNR2)3 complexes, (R=CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7,i-C3H7, n-C4H9 and i-C4H9), has been studied using isothermal and non-isothermal thermogravimetry. Superimposed TG/DTG/DSC curves show that thermal decomposition reactions occur in the liquid phase, except for the In(S2CNMe2)3 and In(S2CNPri 2)3 compounds. The effect of organic sulfur compounds on the radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate initiated by azobisisobutyronitrile at 50°C. has been studied. The sulfur compounds used were benzene-type polysulfides (C6H5CH2? Sn? CH2C6H5; n = 0–4), benzyl mercaptan, and sulfur (S8). All sulfur compounds studied, except dibenzyl, dibenzyl monosulfide, and dibenzyl disulfide, were found to behave as retarders under these experimental conditions. Chain-transfer constants of these compounds were determined from rate measurements and from the conventional method based on numberaverage degree of polymerization. Chain-transfer constants of benzyl-type polysulfides were less than those of mercaptan and sulfur and increased with increasing sulfur. The correlation of the reactivities of sulfur compounds as transfer agents and their molecular structures is discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

The reaction of sulfimides with hydroxide ion in methanol gave the corresponding sulfoxide (the solvolysis product) and/or the corresponding α-methoxysulfide (the Pummerer type product). The pseudo first order rates for the solvolysis reaction and the Pummerer type reaction were determined using a large excess of potassium hydroxide. The rates of the solvolyses are correlated with [sgrave] values and the values of ρ X = +1.2 and ρ Y = +0.8 were obtained for aryl methyl N-aryl-sulfonylsulfimides (p-XC6H4S(NSO2C6H4Y-p)CH3), and both the activation enthalpy and entropy calculated are δH≠ = 18.8 kcal mol?1 and δS≠ = –23.9 e.u. (PhS(NSO2C6H4CH3-p)CH3), respectively. Hammett correlation with [sgrave] values for the Pummerer type reaction gave ρz = +2.0 for N-aryl-sulfonyltetramethylenesulfimides ((CH2)4SNSO2C6H4Z-p), and the activation enthalpy and entropy are δH≠ = 27.9 kcal mol?1 and δS≠ = +13.3 eu ((CH2)4SNSO2C6H4CH3-p), respectively. All these observations suggest that the solvolysis reaction proceeds via the initial nucleophilic attack of hydroxide ion on the sulfur atom of the sulfimide namely via an S N 2 process at the sulfur atom whereas the Pummerer type reaction proceeds by way of the E 1cb mechanism.  相似文献

A method is described for extrapolating existing experimental data on the reactions of OH radicals with alkanes to higher temperatures using conventional transition-state theory. Expressions are developed for the estimation of the structural properties of the activated complex necessary for calculating ΔS± and ΔH±. The vibrational frequencies and internal rotations of the activated complex are given by those of the reacting alkane or the analogous alcohol and a set of additional internal modes that is the same for all OH + alkane reactions considered. Differences between primary, secondary, and tertiary hydrogen attack are discussed, and the validity of representing the activated complexes of all OH + alkane reactions by a fixed set of vibrational frequencies and other internal modes is evaluated. Calculations are presented for the reaction of OH with CH4, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10, i-C4H10, c-C4H8, c-C5H10, c-C6H12, (CH3)2CHCH(CH3)2, (CH3)3CCH(CH3)2, (CH3)4C, and (CH3)3CC(CH3)3, and the results are compared with experiments.  相似文献
