electron-impact excitation of the ground state of xenon to all the

57p fine-structure levels. The results
are compared with the recent experimental measurements of Jung et al. [Phys. Rev. A
80, 062708 (2009)]. Analytic fits to our cross sections are also provided

The behavior of excitation cross sections of the strontium atom was studied experimentally in the spectral series 5s4d1D2-5snf1F

in the range n = 4–26, and also the optical excitation functions for lines in the same series in the range n = 4–12. It was
established that the beginning of the series is perturbed. The effect of the perturbation is manifested both in the irregular
course of the dependence of the absolute values of the cross sections on n, and in the difference between the shapes of the
optical excitation functions for different terms of the series. The results obtained are compared with available experimental
data.

Absolute cross sections for electron impact dissociation of ND+ leading to the formation of D+ have been measured by applying the animated electron-ion beam method in the energy range from the reaction threshold up to
2.5 keV. The maximum inclusive cross section is observed to be (16.8 ± 0.8) × 10−17 cm2 at the electron energy of 65.1 eV. The appearance energy for the D+ production is measured to be (4.0 ± 0.5) eV. Collected data are analyzed in details by means of an original procedure in
order to determine separately the contributions of dissociative channels. A specific Monte Carlo modeling has been developed,
which is proven to reconstruct adequately the dissociative ionization cross section. The present energy thresholds provide
information about the ground and excited states of the molecular ion, as well as about the possible population of the vibrational
levels. The reaction D2(v) + N+ (or H2(v) + N+) is a probable source for that population and it constitutes the first step of the molecular activated processes, so the
corresponding chain of reactions has to be considered to study the chemistry of plasma sources. 相似文献

In a track nuclear photoemulsion exposed to a beam of 7Li nuclei accelerated to a momentum of 3 GeV/c per nucleon at the synchrophasotron of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, Dubna), 13 events in which 7Li nuclei interacting with protons break up into 3H and 4He fragments were detected among 3730 inelastic-interaction events. For this fragmentation channel, the cross section was
found to be 8 ± 2 mb. The average value of the fragment total transverse momentum was 214 ± 5 MeV/c. This value exceeds markedly the average value of the transverse-momentum transfer in the coherent dissociation of 7Li nuclei on track-emulsion nuclei (166±5MeV/c). The recoil-proton transverse momentum was on average 98% of the total proton momentum. The longitudinal-momentum distribution
of protons was characterized by a variance of 16 MeV/c and a mean value of 37 ± 2MeV/c. 相似文献

The excitation of spectral transitions of barium atoms from the 53 D J states by electron impact has been studied experimentally. The absolute values of the interaction cross sections and their energy dependences have been determined. The differential cross section in the transverse momentum Q and a total cross section of (31 ± 4) mb for the coherent dissociation of a 3-A-Ge V/c 7Li nucleus through the 3H + 4He channel have been measured on emulsion nuclei. The observed Q dependence of the cross section is explained by the predominant supposition of the nuclear diffraction patterns on light (C, N, O) and heavy (Br, Ag) emulsion nuclei. The contributions to the cross section from nuclear diffraction (Q ≤ 400 Me V/c) and Coulomb (Q ≤ 50 Me V/c) dissociations are calculated to be 40.7 and 4 mb, respectively. 相似文献

We have studied 12C in full kinematics via the 10B(3He,pααα)
reaction at an energy of 2.45 MeV. In our data we have identified states in 12C
from the ground state up to about 18 MeV, with spins ranging from 0 to 4.
Due to the very good resolution, we are able to determine properties of
these 12C resonances, such as their energy, width, and spin.
In this contribution preliminary results from the ongoing analysis are presented.
Main focus on the precise determination of the breakup spectra for all resonances. 相似文献
