We study several properties of disjointly homogeneous Banach lattices with a special focus on two questions: the self-duality of this class and the existence of disjoint sequences spanning complemented subspaces. Various results around these problems are given. In particular, we provide examples of reflexive disjointly homogeneous spaces whose dual spaces are not disjointly homogeneous.  相似文献

The authors introduce the inhomogeneous Besov space and the inhomogeneous Triebel-Lizorkin space on spaces of homogeneous type: and present their atom and molecule decompositions, their dual spaces and the complex interpolation theorems. They also establishe the relation between the homogoeneous Besov space and the inhomogeneous one, and between the homogeneous Triebel-Lizorkin space and the inhomogeneous one. Moreover, they establish T1 theorems for these inhomogeneous spaces when a≠0, and apply these T1 theorems to give new characterizations of these spaces.  相似文献

In a wide class of weighted Bergman spaces, we construct invertible non-cyclic elements. These are then used to produce z-invariant subspaces of index higher than one. In addition, these elements generate non-trivial bilaterally invariant subspaces in anti-symmetrically weighted Hilbert spaces of sequences.  相似文献

The maximal isotropic subspaces in split Cayley algebras were classified by van der Blij and Springer in Nieuw Archief voor Wiskunde VIII(3):158–169, 1960. Here we translate this classification to arbitrary composition algebras. We study intersection properties of such spaces in a symmetric composition algebra, and prove two triality results: one for two-D isotropic spaces, and another for isotropic vectors and maximal isotropic spaces. We bound the distance between isotropic spaces of various dimensions, and study the strong orthogonality relation on isotropic vectors, with its own bound on the distance. The results are used to classify maximal p-central subspaces in central simple algebras of degree p = 3. We prove various linkage properties of maximal p-central spaces and p-central elements. Analogous results are obtained for symmetric p-central elements with respect to an involution of the second kind inverting a third root of unity.  相似文献

We study the Fredholm properties of parabolic evolution equations on R with inhomogeneous boundary values. These problems are transformed into evolution equations with inhomogeneities taking values in certain extrapolation spaces. Assuming that the underlying homogeneous problem is asymptotically hyperbolic, we show the Fredholm alternative for these equations. The results are applied to parabolic partial differential equations.  相似文献

Summary The Lie groups G2 and Spin(7) can be considered as automorphisms groups of euclidean vector spaces (of dimension 7, 8 resp.) endowed with a suitable vector product (cfr. [12]). Here one put in evidence several geometric properties of certain special subspaces of such euclidean spaces and the manifolds of special subspaces are determined as well known homogeneous spaces. One considers also riemannian manifolds with holonomy group G2 or Spin(7) establishing that in the analytic case the existence of a totally geodesic submanifold of codimension 1 imply local reducibility.

Sufficient conditions on the kernel and the grandizer that ensure the boundedness of integral operators with homogeneous kernels in grand Lebesgue spaces on ? n as well as an upper bound for their norms are obtained. For some classes of grandizers, necessary conditions and lower bounds for the norm of these operators are also obtained. In the case of a radial kernel, stronger estimates are established in terms of one-dimensional grand norms of spherical means of the function. A sufficient condition for the boundedness of the operator with homogeneous kernel in classical Lebesgue spaces with arbitrary radial weight is obtained. As an application, boundedness in grand spaces of the one-dimensional operator of fractional Riemann–Liouville integration and of a multidimensional Hilbert-type operator is studied.  相似文献

Weighted composition operators have been related to products of composition operators and their adjoints and to isometries of Hardy spaces. In this paper, Hermitian weighted composition operators on weighted Hardy spaces of the unit disk are studied. In particular, necessary conditions are provided for a weighted composition operator to be Hermitian on such spaces. On weighted Hardy spaces for which the kernel functions are ${(1 - \overline{w}z)^{-\kappa}}$ for κ ≥ 1, including the standard weight Bergman spaces, the Hermitian weighted composition operators are explicitly identified and their spectra and spectral decompositions are described. Some of these Hermitian operators are part of a family of closely related normal weighted composition operators. In addition, as a consequence of the properties of weighted composition operators, we compute the extremal functions for the subspaces associated with the usual atomic inner functions for these weighted Bergman spaces and we also get explicit formulas for the projections of the kernel functions on these subspaces.  相似文献

We consider Marcinkiewicz spaces of functions measurable on a semiaxis that admit a wide set of singular symmetric Dixmier functionals. For elements of these spaces we study the measurability property introduced by A. Connes. We establish that this property is closely connected with the Tauberian property (which is more strong) but is not reduced to it. We specify the maximal subspace of the Marcinkiewicz space such that for its elements both properties are equivalent. We prove that this subspace is not reducible to other known subspaces of the Marcinkiewicz space and that it plays an important role in the theory of Dixmier functionals.  相似文献

This papers examines structural properties of the recently developed shearlet coorbit spaces in higher dimensions. We prove embedding theorems for subspaces of shearlet coorbit spaces resembling shearlets on the cone in three dimensions into Besov spaces. The results are based on general atomic decompositions of Besov spaces. Furthermore, we establish trace results for these subspaces with respect to the coordinate planes. It turns out that in many cases these traces are contained in lower dimensional shearlet coorbit spaces.  相似文献

We prove three new dichotomies for Banach spaces à la W.T. Gowers' dichotomies. The three dichotomies characterise respectively the spaces having no minimal subspaces, having no subsequentially minimal basic sequences, and having no subspaces crudely finitely representable in all of their subspaces. We subsequently use these results to make progress on Gowers' program of classifying Banach spaces by finding characteristic spaces present in every space. Also, the results are used to embed any partial order of size 1 into the subspaces of any space without a minimal subspace ordered by isomorphic embeddability.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study complete polynomial systems in the kernel space of conformally invariant differential operators in higher spin theory. We investigate the kernel space of a generalized Maxwell operator in 3‐dimensional space. With the already known decomposition of its homogeneous kernel space into 2 subspaces, we investigate first projections from the homogeneous kernel space to each subspace. Then, we provide complete polynomial systems depending on the given inner product for each subspace in the decomposition. More specifically, the complete polynomial system for the homogenous kernel space is an orthogonal system wrt a given Fischer inner product. In the case of the standard inner product in L2 on the unit ball, the provided complete polynomial system for the homogeneous kernel space is a partially orthogonal system. Further, if the degree of homogeneity for the respective subspaces in the decomposed kernel spaces approaches infinity, then the angle between the 2 subspaces approaches π/2.  相似文献

The reflexivity and transitivity of subspaces of Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space on the upper half-plane are investigated. The dichotomic behavior (transitive or reflexive) of these subspaces is shown. It refers to the similar dichotomic behavior for subspaces of Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space on the unit disc. The isomorphism between the Hardy spaces on the unit disc and the upper half-plane is used. To keep weak* homeomorphism between L spaces on the unit circle and the real line we redefine the classical isomorphism between L 1 spaces.  相似文献

Known results about hypercyclic subspaces concern either Fréchet spaces with a continuous norm or the space ω. We fill the gap between these spaces by investigating Fréchet spaces without continuous norm. To this end, we divide hypercyclic subspaces into two types: the hypercyclic subspaces M for which there exists a continuous seminorm p such that ${M \cap {\rm ker} p = \{0\}}$ and the others. For each of these types of hypercyclic subspaces, we establish some criteria. This investigation permits us to generalize several results about hypercyclic subspaces on Fréchet spaces with a continuous norm and about hypercyclic subspaces on ω. In particular, we show that each infinite-dimensional separable Fréchet space supports a mixing operator with a hypercyclic subspace.  相似文献

We show that the structural properties of von Neumann algebra s are connected with the metric and order theoretic properties of various classes of affiliated subspaces. Among others we show that properly infinite von Neumann algebra s always admit an affiliated subspace for which (1) closed and orthogonally closed affiliated subspaces are different; (2) splitting and quasi‐splitting affiliated subspaces do not coincide. We provide an involved construction showing that concepts of splitting and quasi‐splitting subspaces are non‐equivalent in any GNS representation space arising from a faithful normal state on a Type I factor. We are putting together the theory of quasi‐splitting subspaces developed for inner product spaces on one side and the modular theory of von Neumann algebra s on the other side.  相似文献

Complex symplectic spaces, and their Lagrangian subspaces, are defined in accord with motivations from Lagrangian classical dynamics and from linear ordinary differential operators; and then their basic algebraic properties are established. After these purely algebraic developments, an Appendix presents a related new result on the theory of self-adjoint operators in Hilbert spaces, and this provides an important application of the principal theorems.
