The magnetic properties of an anti-ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic mixed spin-1/2 and spin-5/2 Ising model with a crystal field in a longitudinal magnetic field on the honeycomb (z=3) and square lattice (z=4) are studied by using the effective-field theory with correlations. The ground state phase diagram of the model is obtained in the longitudinal magnetic field (h) and a single-ion potential or crystal-field interaction (Δ) plane. We also investigate the thermal variations of the sublattice and total magnetizations, and present the phase diagrams in the (Δ/|J|, ) plane. The phase diagrams have one, two or even three compensation temperatures depending on the values of the crystal-field interaction. Moreover, the susceptibility, internal energy and specific heat of the system are numerically examined, and some interesting phenomena in these quantities are found due to the applied longitudinal magnetic field.  相似文献

Chalcogenide glasses from the Ag2Te-As2Se3-CdTe system were synthesized. The basic physicochemical parameters such as density (d), microhardness (HV) and the temperatures of phase transformations (the glass transition Tg, crystallization Tcr and melting Tm) were measured. Compactness and some thermomechanical characteristics such as volume (Vh) and formation energy (Eh) of micro-voids in the glassy network, as well as the module of elasticity E were calculated. The overall mean bond energy 〈E〉, the mean coordination number Z, the mean bond energy of the average cross-linking/atom and the average bond energy per atom of the “remaining matrix”— and , as well as the average heteropolar bond energy Ehb, the degree of “cross-linking/atom” Pp and the radial bond strength were determined. The correlation between the composition and properties of the Ag2Te-As2Se3-CdTe glasses was established and comprehensively discussed.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of a mixed Ising ferrimagnetic system, in which the two interacting sublattices have spins σ, (±1/2) and spins S, (±1,0) in the presence of a random crystal field, have been studied with the mean field approach. The obtained results show the existence of some interesting phenomena, such as the appearance of a new ferrimagnetic phase, namely, partly ferrimagnetic phase and consequently the existence of four topologically different types of phase diagrams. Furthermore, compensation behaviour and re-entrant phenomenon are found for appropriate ranges of crystal field. Thermal magnetization behaviour and phase diagrams have been discussed in detail.  相似文献

Low temperature magnetic (M) and thermal (CP) properties of the intermetallic compound Ce2Pd2Sn have been investigated at zero and different magnetic fields. Two transitions were recognized at and , with latter nearly coinciding with the extrapolated Curie-Weiss temperature . The Curie factor evaluated from TTM, is ≈2μB. The positive value of θP, the triangular coordination of the magnetic (Ce) atoms and the weak effect of applied magnetic field, reveal that TM cannot be considered as a canonic antiferromagnetic transition like claimed in the literature. M(T) measurements under moderate magnetic fields () show TC(B) increasing while TM(B) is practically not affected. Both transition merge in a critical point at for , where the intermediate phase is suppressed. At , the cusp of a first order transition is observed in CP(T). According to the proposed ferromagnetic ground state, it is followed by a CP(T)∝T3/2exp(-Eg/T) dependence, with a gap of anisotropy .  相似文献

(Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TixO1+2x lead-free piezoceramics with x varying from 0.97 to 1.03 were fabricated and characterized in order to investigate the effects of TiO2-nonstoichiometry on the piezoelectric properties and depolarization temperature of (Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 composition. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that all samples have a single phase of perovskite structure with rhombohedral symmetry. Piezoelectric and dielectric measurements revealed that deficiency of TiO2 leads to an increase in the piezoelectric coefficient (d33), free relative permittivity (), and loss tangent (tan δ) besides an increase in the electromechanical coupling coefficient (kp) within a certain amount, while excess of TiO2 results in a decrease in kp, d33, and , but an increase in tan δ. Depolarization temperature (Td) measurement indicated a decrease and an increase in Td as a result of increasing TiO2 deficiency and TiO2 excess, respectively. This TiO2-nonstoichiometry also induced changes in the remanent polarization (Pr) and coercive field (Ec) of the ceramics.  相似文献

We have measured the specific heat of crystals of (Ca1−xSrx)3Ru2O7 using ac- and relaxation-time calorimetry. Special emphasis was placed on the characterization of the Néel () and structural () phase transitions in the pure, x=0 material. While the latter is believed to be first order, detailed measurements under different experimental conditions suggest that all the latent heat (with L∼0.3R) is being captured in a broadened peak in the effective heat capacity. The specific heat has a mean-field-like step at TN, but its magnitude () is too large to be associated with a conventional itinerant electron (e.g. spin-density-wave) antiferromagnetic transition, while its entropy is too small to be associated with the full ordering of localized spins. The TN transition broadens with Sr substitution while its magnitude decreases slowly. On the other hand, the entropy change associated with the Tc transition decreases rapidly with Sr substitution, and is not observable for our x=0.58 sample.  相似文献

(n-C3H7)4N[FeIIFeIII(dto)3] shows a new type of first order phase transition called charge-transfer phase transition around 120 K, where the charge transfer between FeII and FeIII occurs reversibly. Recently, we have succeeded in obtaining single crystals of the title complex and determined the crystal structure at room temperature. Crystal data: space group P63, Z=2. Moreover, we have investigated the structural transition caused by the charge-transfer phase transition by means of powder X-ray diffraction measurement. When the temperature is decreased, the a-axis, which corresponds to the hexagonal ring size in two-dimensional honeycomb network structure of [FeIIFeIII(dto)3], contracts by 0.1 Å at the charge-transfer transition temperature (TCT), while the c-axis, perpendicular to the honeycomb network layer, elongates by 0.1 Å at TCT. Consequently, when the temperature is decreased, the unit cell volume decreases without noticeable anomaly around TCT, which is responsible for the quite small vibrational contribution to the entropy change, compared with usual spin crossover transition. Thus, the charge-transfer phase transition around 120 K for (n-C3H7)4N[FeIIFeIII(dto)3] is regarded as spin entropy driven phase transition.  相似文献

We have investigated the molecular motions of TRIS+ ([(CH2OH)3CNH3]+) and ions in the [(CH2OH)3CNH3]2SiF6 crystal below room temperature from the measurements of the spin-lattice relaxation time T1 and the NMR absorption line of 1H and 19F nuclei, in order to elucidate the changes of the molecular motions by the phase transition of Tc=178 K. The narrowing of the 19F-NMR line was observed around Tc=178 K and the reorientation of the anion appears above Tc. Moreover, from the analysis of the temperature dependence of T1, we have observed that the activation energy of the reorientational motion of ions changes from 0.168 eV (T>Tc) to 0.185 eV (T<Tc). Based on these results, we found that the reorientational motion of ions is closely related to the origin of the phase transition at Tc. In addition, from the measurement of the 1H-NMR line, we also found that the reorientational motion of H2 in the -CH2OH group becomes active accompanied by the phase transition.  相似文献

The 133Cs 1/2→−1/2 spin-lattice relaxation rate, , and the spin-spin relaxation rate, , for a Cs2CaCl4·2H2O single crystal have been measured in function of temperature. The dominant relaxation mechanism of this crystal over the whole temperature range investigated here proceeds via quadrupole interaction. The changes in the 133Cs spin-lattice relaxation rate near 325 K (=Tc1) and 360 K (=Tc2) correspond to phase transitions in the crystal. The change in the spin-lattice relaxation rate at Tc1 is small because the crystal lattice does not change very much during this phase transition. The change in near Tc2 is due to the critical slowing down of the soft mode that typically occurs in structural phase transitions. The temperature dependence of the spin-lattice relaxation rate for this crystal has maximum values at about 240 K, which is attributable to the effect of molecular motion as described by Bloembergen-Purcell-Pound theory. The phase transition temperatures Tc1 and Tc2 obtained from the temperature dependence of the relaxation rate is also clear from data obtained using differential scanning calorimetry. Therefore, we know that previously unreported phase transitions occur at 325 and 360 K.  相似文献

The phase diagrams of the nonequilibrium mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising ferrimagnetic system on square lattice under a time-dependent external magnetic field are presented by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The model system consists of two interpenetrating sublattices of spins σ=3/2 and S=2, and we take only nearest-neighbor interactions between pairs of spins. The system is in contact with a heat bath at absolute temperature Tabs and the exchange of energy with the heat bath occurs via one-spin flip of the Glauber dynamics. First, we investigate the time variations of average order parameters to find the phases in the system and then the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters to obtain the dynamic phase transition (DPT) points as well as to characterize the nature (first- or second-order) phase transitions. The dynamic phase diagrams are presented in two different planes. Phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p), ferrimagnetic (i1, i2, i3) phases, and three coexistence or mixed phase regions, namely i1+p, i2+p and i3+p mixed phases that strongly depend on interaction parameters.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of Mg0.95Mn0.05Fe2O4 ferrite samples with an average particle size of ∼6.0±0.6 nm have been studied using X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy, dc magnetization and frequency dependent real χ(T) and imaginary χ(T) parts of ac susceptibility measurements. A magnetic transition to an ordered state is observed at about 195 K from Mössbauer measurements. The zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) magnetization have been recorded at low field and show the typical behavior of a small particle system. The ZFC curve displays a broad maximum at , a temperature which depends upon the distribution of particle volumes in the sample. The FC curve was nearly flat below , as compared with monotonically increasing characteristics of non-interacting superparamagnetic systems indicating the existence of strong interactions among the nanoparticles. A frequency-dependent peak observed in χ(T) is well described by Vogel-Fulcher law, yielding a relaxation time and an interaction parameter . Such values show the strong interactions and rule out the possibility of spin-glass (SG) features among the nanoparticle system. On the other hand fitting with the Néel-Brown model and the power law yields an unphysical large value of τ0 (∼6×10−69 and 1.2×10−22 s respectively).  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility obtained from magnetization measurement (for fields H=0.1 and 1.0 T) of polycrystalline Eu2Ti2O7 shows two distinct features. Firstly, increases on cooling below 300 K and attains a temperature-independent constant value at 68 K (Tmax). Secondly, shows an antiferromagnetic increase below 4.9±0.1 K. The former behavior is explained by crystal field (CF) theory. CF levels and wave functions of ground and excited states are determined accurately from analyses of and earlier reported Mössbauer and optical spectra. Analysis of vs. 1/T curve at low temperatures gives the classical nearest-neighbor exchange interaction Jcl=−0.76 K and a weak dipolar interaction Dnn=0.0056 K. CP of polycrystalline sample of Eu2Ti2O7 and Y2Ti2O7 are measured between 1.8-35 and 1.8-120 K respectively and θD vs. T (K) curves are calculated. At 4 K, θD of Eu2Ti2O7 shows a kink and dCP/dT curve show a maximum. Optical results show energy exchange between Eu3+ ions at intrinsic and extrinsic (defect) sites via super-exchange interaction at low temperature which may account for the observed anomalous behavior of and CP.  相似文献

Potassium lanthanum bismuth tantalate (K0.5La0.5Bi2Ta2O9), a new relaxor ferroelectric was synthesized via the solid-state reaction route. X-ray structural studies along with Rietveld refinement confirmed it to be an n=2 member of the Aurivillius family of oxides and the refined lattice parameters are , and . The appearance of 1/2{h00} and 1/2{hk0} type superlattice reflections in the electron diffraction patterns reflected the presence of ordered polar regions. A broad dielectric peak associated with frequency dependent dielectric maximum temperature was observed. The value of the diffuseness parameter γ=1.93, obtained from the fit of a modified Curie-Weiss law established the relaxor nature of the title compound. The dielectric relaxation obeyed the Vogel-Fulcher relation wherein and . The relaxor behavior was attributed to the local polar ordering on A-sites.  相似文献

We report the results of a comprehensive study of weak localization and electron-electron interaction effects in disordered V1−xPdx alloys whose compositions are close to the (low Tc) A15 V3Pd compound. Magnetoresistivity and zero field resistivity have been measured within the temperature range 1.5≤T≤300 K. The low-temperature resistivity obeys a law, which is explained by electron-electron interaction. We have determined the electron-phonon scattering time (τe-ph) for V1−xPdx alloys. Our results indicate an anomalous electron-phonon scattering rate obeying quadratic temperature dependence. This observation is interpreted by the existing theories of electron-phonon interactions.  相似文献

As a continuation of our previously published work, the dynamic phase transitions are studied further, within a mean-field approach, in the kinetic Blume--Emery--Griffiths model in the presence of a time varying (sinusoidal) magnetic field by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The dynamic phase transitions are obtained and the phase diagrams are constructed in two different planes, namely in the reduced temperature (T) and biquadratic interaction (k) plane and found eight fundamental types of phase diagrams for various values of reduced crystal-field interaction (d) and magnetic field amplitude (h), and in the (T,?d) plane and obtained six distinct topologies for different values of k and h. Phase diagrams exhibit one or two dynamic tricritical points and a dynamic double critical end point, dynamic triple and quadruple points, and besides disordered and ordered phases, three coexistence phase regions exist in which occurring of these strongly depend on the values of d, k and h.  相似文献

We report measurements of the temperature and pressure dependence of the electrical resistivity (ρ) of single-crystalline iron-based chalcogenide Cs0.8Fe2Se2. In this material, superconductivity with a transition temperature develops from a normal state with extremely large resistivity. At ambient pressure, a large “hump” in the resistivity is observed around 200 K. Under pressure, the resistivity decreases by two orders of magnitude, concomitant with a sudden Tc suppression around . Even at 9 GPa a metallic resistivity state is not recovered, and the ρ(T) “hump” is still detected. A comparison of the data measured upon increasing and decreasing the external pressure leads us to suggest that the superconductivity is not related to this hump.  相似文献
