Let function f(z) ≠ 0 be analytic in the unit disk and have sparse nonzero Taylor coefficients. Then the rate of decay of the function f as x → 1 − 0 depends on the rate of sparseness of its nonzero Taylor coefficients. In this paper, we consider the case f(z) = $ \sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^\infty {a_k z^{n_k } } $ \sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^\infty {a_k z^{n_k } } , where n k A 0(k + 2) p logb(k + 2).  相似文献

We study the arithmetic of a semigroup MP\mathcal{M}_{\mathcal{P}} of functions with operation of multiplication representable in the form f(x) = ?n = 0 ancn(x)    ( an 3 0,?n = 0 an = 1 ) f(x) = \sum\nolimits_{n = 0}^\infty {{a_n}{\chi_n}(x)\quad \left( {{a_n} \ge 0,\sum\nolimits_{n = 0}^\infty {{a_n} = 1} } \right)} , where { cn }n = 0 \left\{ {{\chi_n}} \right\}_{n = 0}^\infty is a system of multiplicative functions that are generalizations of the classical Walsh functions. For the semigroup MP\mathcal{M}_{\mathcal{P}}, analogs of the well-known Khinchin theorems related to the arithmetic of a semigroup of probability measures in R n are true. We describe the class I0(MP)I_0(\mathcal{M}_{\mathcal{P}}) of functions without indivisible or nondegenerate idempotent divisors and construct a class of indecomposable functions that is dense in MP\mathcal{M}_{\mathcal{P}} in the topology of uniform convergence.  相似文献

We obtain formulac and estimates for character sums of the type S(x,f,p^m)=∑x=1^p^mx(f(f)),where p^m is a prime power with m≥2,x is a multiplicative character(mod p^m),and f=f1/f2 is a rational function over Z.In particular,if p is odd,d=deg(f1) deg(f2) and d^*=max(deg(f1),deg(f2)) then we obtain |S(x,f,p^m)|≤(d-1)p^m(1-1/d^*) for any non-constant f (mod p) and primitive character x.For p=2 an extra factor of 2√2 is needed.  相似文献

The generalized Roper-Suffridge extension operator Ф(f) on the bounded complete Reinhardt domain Ω in Cn with n ≥ 2 is defined by Φrn,β2,γ2,…,βn,γn(f)(z)=(rf(z1/r),(rf(z1/r)/z1)β2(f'(z1/r))γ2z2,…,(rf(z1/r)/z1)βn(f'(z1/r)γnzn) for (z1,z2,…,zn) ∈Ω, where r = r(Ω) = sup{|z1| (z1,z2,…,zn) ∈ Ω},0 ≤ γj ≤ 1 -βj,0 ≤ βj ≤ 1,and we choose the branch of the power functions such that (f(z1)/z1)βj |z1=0 = 1 and (f′(z1))γj |z1=0 =1,j = 2,…,n. In this paper, we prove that the operator Фrn,β2,γ2,…,βn,γn(f) is from the subset of S*α(U) to S*α(Ω)(0 ≤ α < 1) on Ω and the operator Фrn,β2,γ2,…, βn,γn(f) preserves the starlikeness of order α or the spirallikeness of type β on Dp for some suitable constantsβj,γj,pj, where Dp ={(z1,z2,…,zn) ∈ Cn ∑nj=1|zj|pj < 1} (pj > 0, j = 1,2,…,n), U is the unit disc in the complex plane C, and Sα* (Ω) is the class of all normalized starlike mappings of order α on Ω. We also obtain that Φrn,β2,γ2,…,γn(f) ∈ S*α(Dp) if and only if f ∈ S*a(U) for 0 ≤ α < 1 and some suitable constants βj,γj,pj.  相似文献

Bent functions have many applications in the fields of coding theory, communications and cryptography. This paper studies the constructions of bent functions having the form for odd n and for even n, over the finite field of odd characteristic p, where . Based on the irreducibility of some polynomials on , we focus on characterizing the bent functions for n=p v q r and n=2p v q r , where is an odd prime and p a primitive root modulo q 2. Moreover, the enumerations of those functions are also considered. Partially supported by the NSF of China under Grants No. 60603012 and No. 60573053.  相似文献

Let D be an open disk of radius ≤1 in $\mathbb{C}$ , and let (? n ) be a sequence of ±1. We prove that for every analytic function $f: D \to \mathbb{C}$ without zeros in D, there exists a unique sequence (α n ) of complex numbers such that $f(z) = f(0)\prod_{n=1}^{\infty} (1+\epsilon_{n}z^{n})^{\alpha_{n}}$ for every zD. From this representation we obtain a numerical method for calculating products of the form ∏ p prime f(1/p) provided f(0)=1 and f′(0)=0; our method generalizes a well-known method of Pieter Moree. We illustrate this method on a constant of Ramanujan $\pi^{-1/2}\prod _{p~\text{prime}} \sqrt{p^{2}-p}\ln(p/(p-1))$ . From the properties of the exponents α n , we obtain a proof of the following congruences, which have been the subject of several recent publications motivated by some questions of Arnold: for every n×n integral matrix A, every prime number p, and every positive integer k we have $\operatorname{tr} A^{p^{k}} \equiv\operatorname{tr} A^{p^{k-1}} { \hbox {\rm { (mod\ $p^{k}$) }}}$ .  相似文献

Let f(X) be a polynomial in n variables over the finite field  \mathbbFq\mathbb{F}_{q}. Its Newton polytope Δ(f) is the convex closure in ℝ n of the origin and the exponent vectors (viewed as points in ℝ n ) of monomials in f(X). The minimal dilation of Δ(f) such that it contains at least one lattice point of $\mathbb{Z}_{>0}^{n}$\mathbb{Z}_{>0}^{n} plays a vital pole in the p-adic estimate of the number of zeros of f(X) in  \mathbbFq\mathbb{F}_{q}. Using this fact, we obtain several tight and computational bounds for the dilation which unify and improve a number of previous results in this direction.  相似文献

Abstract. For natural numbers n we inspect all factorizations n = ab of n with aba \le b in \Bbb N\Bbb N and denote by n=an bnn=a_n b_n the most quadratic one, i.e. such that bn - anb_n - a_n is minimal. Then the quotient k(n) : = an/bn\kappa (n) := a_n/b_n is a measure for the quadraticity of n. The best general estimate for k(n)\kappa (n) is of course very poor: 1/n £ k(n) £ 11/n \le \kappa (n)\le 1. But a Theorem of Hall and Tenenbaum [1, p. 29], implies(logn)-d-e £ k(n) £ (logn)-d(\log n)^{-\delta -\varepsilon } \le \kappa (n) \le (\log n)^{-\delta } on average, with d = 1 - (1+log2  2)/log2=0,08607 ?\delta = 1 - (1+\log _2 \,2)/\log 2=0,08607 \ldots and for every e > 0\varepsilon >0. Hence the natural numbers are fairly quadratic.¶k(n)\kappa (n) characterizes a specific optimal factorization of n. A quadraticity measure, which is more global with respect to the prime factorization of n, is k*(n): = ?1 £ ab, ab=n a/b\kappa ^*(n):= \textstyle\sum\limits \limits _{1\le a \le b, ab=n} a/b. We show k*(n) ~ \frac 12\kappa ^*(n) \sim \frac {1}{2} on average, and k*(n)=W(2\frac 12(1-e) log n/log 2n)\kappa ^*(n)=\Omega (2^{\frac {1}{2}(1-\varepsilon ) {\log}\, n/{\log} _2n})for every e > 0\varepsilon>0.  相似文献

Summary Letf n (p) be a recursive kernel estimate off (p) thepth order derivative of the probability density functionf, based on a random sample of sizen. In this paper, we provide bounds for the moments of and show that the rate of almost sure convergence of to zero isO(n −α), α<(r−p)/(2r+1), iff (r),r>p≧0, is a continuousL 2(−∞, ∞) function. Similar rate-factor is also obtained for the almost sure convergence of to zero under different conditions onf. This work was supported in part by the Research Foundation of SUNY.  相似文献

We consider random analytic functions defined on the unit disk of the complex plane f(z) = ?n=0 an Xn znf(z) = \sum_{n=0}^{\infty} a_{n} X_{n} z^{n}, where the X n ’s are i.i.d., complex-valued random variables with mean zero and unit variance. The coefficients a n are chosen so that f(z) is defined on a domain of ℂ carrying a planar or hyperbolic geometry, and Ef(z)[`(f(w))]\mathbf{E}f(z)\overline{f(w)} is covariant with respect to the isometry group. The corresponding Gaussian analytic functions have been much studied, and their zero sets have been considered in detail in a monograph by Hough, Krishnapur, Peres, and Virág. We show that for non-Gaussian coefficients, the zero set converges in distribution to that of the Gaussian analytic functions as one transports isometrically to the boundary of the domain. The proof is elementary and general.  相似文献

Let X = (Xt, ?t) be a continuous local martingale with quadratic variation 〈X〉 and X0 = 0. Define iterated stochastic integrals In(X) = (In(t, X), ?t), n ≥ 0, inductively by $$ I_{n} (t, X) = \int ^{t} _{0} I_{n-1} (s, X)dX_{s} $$ with I0(t, X) = 1 and I1(t, X) = Xt. Let (??xt(X)) be the local time of a continuous local martingale X at x ∈ ?. Denote ??*t(X) = supx∈? ??xt(X) and X* = supt≥0 |Xt|. In this paper, we shall establish various ratio inequalities for In(X). In particular, we show that the inequalities $$ c_{n,p} \, \left\Vert (G ( \langle X \rangle _{\infty} )) ^{n/2} \right\Vert _{p} \; \le \; \left\Vert {\mathop \sup \limits _{t \ge 0}} \; {\left\vert I_{n} (t, X) \right\vert \over {(1+ \langle X \rangle _{t} ) ^{n/2}}} \right\Vert _{p} \; \le C_{n, p} \, \left\Vert (G ( \langle X \rangle _{\infty} )) ^{n/2} \right\Vert _{p} $$ hold for 0 < p < ∞ with some positive constants cn,p and Cn,p depending only on n and p, where G(t) = log(1+ log(1+ t)). Furthermore, we also show that for some γ ≥ 0 the inequality $$ E \left[ U ^{p}_{n} \exp \left( \gamma {U ^{1/n} _{n} \over {V}} \right) \right] \le C_{n, p, \gamma} E [V ^{n, p}] \quad (0 < p < \infty ) $$ holds with some positive constant Cn,p,γ depending only on n, p and γ, where Un is one of 〈In(X)〉1/2 and I*n(X), and V one of the three random variables X*, 〈X1/2 and ??*(X). For ?1≤B<A≤1, let \(\mathcal {S}^{*}(A,B)\) denote the class of normalized analytic functions \(f(z)= z+{\sum }_{n=2}^{\infty }a_{n} z^{n}\) in |z|<1 which satisfy the subordination relation z f (z)/f(z)?(1 + A z)/(1 + B z) and Σ?(A,B) be the corresponding class of meromorphic functions in |z|>1. For \(f\in \mathcal {S}^{*}(A,B)\) and λ>0, we shall estimate the absolute value of the Taylor coefficients a n (?λ,f) of the analytic function (f(z)/z)?λ . Using this we shall determine the coefficient estimate for inverses of functions in the classes \(\mathcal {S}^{*}(A,B)\) and Σ?(A,B).  相似文献

Let f:AB be a ring homomorphism of not necessarily unital rings and an ideal which is mapped by f isomorphically to an ideal of B. The obstruction to excision in K-theory is the failure of the map between relative K-groups K*(A:I)→K*(B:f(I)) to be an isomorphism; it is measured by the birelative groups K*(A,B:I). Similarly the groups HN*(A,B:I) measure the obstruction to excision in negative cyclic homology. We show that the rational Jones-Goodwillie Chern character induces an isomorphism

Let (T t ) t?≥ 0 be a bounded analytic semigroup on L p (Ω), with 1?<?p?<?∞. Let ?A denote its infinitesimal generator. It is known that if A and A * both satisfy square function estimates ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{\frac{1}{2}} T_t(x)\vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^p} \lesssim \|x\|_{L^p}}$ and ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{*\frac{1}{2}} T_t^*(y) \vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^{p^\prime}} \lesssim \|y\|_{L^{p^\prime}}}$ for ${x\in L^p(\Omega)}$ and ${y\in L^{p^\prime}(\Omega)}$ , then A admits a bounded ${H^{\infty}(\Sigma_\theta)}$ functional calculus for any ${\theta>\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . We show that this actually holds true for some ${\theta<\frac{\pi}{2}}$ .  相似文献
