New Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized by the reactions of zinc(II) acetate with Schiff bases derived from 3-substituted phenyl-4-amino-5-hydrazino-1, 2, 4-triazole and benzaldehyde, 2-hydroxyacetophenone or indoline-2,3-dione. All these complexes are soluble in DMF and DMSO; low molar conductance values indicate that they are non-electrolytes. Elemental analyses suggest that the complexes have 1:1 stoichiometry of the type [ZnL(H(2)O)(2)], [ZnL'(OAc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] (L=dianionic Schiff bases derived from 3-(substituted phenyl)-4-amino-5-hydrazino-1, 2, 4-triazole and 2-hydroxyacetophenone or indoline-2,3-dione; L'=neutral Schiff bases derived from 3-(substituted phenyl)-4-amino-5-hydrazino-1, 2, 4-triazole and benzaldehyde) and they were characterized by FT-IR, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and FAB mass. All these Schiff bases and their complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial activities against Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and antifungal activities against Colletotrichum falcatum, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporium and Carvularia pallescence by petriplates methods.  相似文献

Stable ruthenium(II) carbonyl complexes having the general composition [RuCl(CO)(PPh3)(B)(L)] (where B=PPh3, pyridine, piperidine or morpholine; L=anion of bidentate Schiff bases (Vanmet, Vanampy, Vanchx)) were synthesized from the reaction of [RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(B)] with bidentate Schiff base ligands derived from condensation of o-vanillin with primary amines such as methylamine, 2-aminopyridine and cyclohexylamine. The new complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis and 1H NMR spectral data. The redox property of the complexes were studied by cyclic voltammetric technique and the stability of the complexes towards oxidation were related to the electron releasing or electron withdrawing ability of the substituent in the phenyl ring of o-vanillin. An octahedral geometry has been assigned for all the complexes. In all the above reactions, the Schiff bases replace one molecule of PPh3 and hydride ion from the starting complexes, which indicate that the Ru-N bonds present in the complexes containing heterocyclic nitrogen bases are stronger than the Ru-P. The Schiff bases and their ruthenium(II) complexes have been tested in vitro to evaluate their activity against bacteria, viz., Staphylococcus aureus (209p) and E. coli (ESS 2231).  相似文献

The structures of three closely related heterodimetallic cyano complexes, [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(n)()](n)()(-) (n = 1-3), formed in reactions between [Pt(II)(CN)(4)](2)(-) and Tl(III) cyano complexes, have been studied in aqueous solution. Multinuclear NMR data ((205)Tl, (195)Pt, and (13)C) were used for identification and quantitative analysis. X-ray absorption spectra were recorded at the Pt and Tl L(III) edges. The EXAFS data show, after developing a model describing the extensive multiple scattering within the linearly coordinated cyano ligands, short Pt-Tl bond distances in the [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(n)()](n)()(-) complexes: 2.60(1), 2.62(1), and 2.64(1) A for n = 1-3, respectively. Thus, the Pt-Tl bond distance increases with increasing number of cyano ligands on the thallium atom. In all three complexes the thallium atom and five cyano ligands, with a mean Pt-C distance of 2.00-2.01 A, octahedrally coordinate the platinum atom. In the hydrated [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(H(2)O)(4)](-) species the thallium atom coordinates one cyano ligand, probably as a linear Pt-Tl-CN entity with a Tl-C bond distance of 2.13(1) A, and possibly four loosely bound water molecules with a mean Tl-O bond distance of about 2.51 A. In the [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(2)](2)(-) species, the thallium atom probably coordinates the cyano ligands trigonally with two Tl-C bond distances at 2.20(2) A, and in [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(3)](3)(-) Tl coordinates tetrahedrally with three Tl-C distances at 2.22(2) A. EXAFS data were reevaluated for previously studied mononuclear thallium(III)-cyano complexes in aqueous solution, [Tl(CN)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](+), [Tl(CN)(3)(H(2)O)], and [Tl(CN)(4)](-), and also for the solid K[Tl(CN)(4)] compound. A comparison shows that the Tl-C bond distances are longer in the dinuclear complexes [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(n)()](n)()(-) (n = 1-3) for the same coordination number. Relative oxidation states of the metal atoms were estimated from their (195)Pt and (205)Tl chemical shifts, confirming that the [(NC)(5)Pt-Tl(CN)(n)()](n)()(-) complexes can be considered as metastable intermediates in a two-electron-transfer redox reaction from platinum(II) to thallium(III). Vibrational spectra were recorded and force constants from normal-coordinate analyses are used for discussing the delocalized bonding in these species.  相似文献

Two isoniazid Schiff bases, N-isonicotinamido-2-furanketimine (INH-F1) and N-isonicotinamido-5-methyl-2-furanketimine (INH-F2), possessing potential N and O coordination sites have been prepared by the reaction of isoniazid with 2-acetylfuran and 2-acetyl-5-methylfuran, respectively. Complexes of Pd(II) and Pt(II) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, melting point determinations and electronic, infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectral studies, and X-ray powder diffraction studies. In all the complexes, the monobasic bidentate nature of the ligand is evident. Antibacterial and antifungal studies of these compounds against various pathogenic bacterial and fungal strains have been carried out. Both the ligands and their metal chelates were active against all the microbial strains investigated. However, the chelates were found to be more active than the ligands. The antimycobacterial activity of the ligands and their metal complexes has been evaluated against Mycobacterium smegmatis, which showed clear enhancement in this activity upon metal complexation with Schiff bases.  相似文献

Acetylplatinum(II) complexes trans-[Pt(COMe)Cl(L)2] (L = PPh3, 2a; P(4-FC6H4)3, 2b) were found to react with dialkyldisulfides R2S2 (R = Me, Et, Pr, Bu; Pr = n-propyl, Bu = n-butyl), yielding trinuclear 44 cve (cluster valence electrons) platinum clusters [(PtL)3(mu-SR)3]Cl (4). The analogous reaction of 2a-b with Ph2S2 gave SPh bridged dinuclear complexes trans-[{PtCl(L)}2(mu-SPh)2] (5), whereas the addition of Bn2S2 (Bn = benzyl) to 2a ended up in the formation of [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu3-S)(mu-SBn)3]Cl (6). Theoretical studies based on the AIM theory revealed that type 4 complexes must be regarded as triangular platinum clusters with Pt-Pt bonds whereas complex 6 must be treated as a sulfur capped 48 ve (valence electrons) trinuclear platinum(II) complex without Pt-Pt bonding interactions. Phosphine ligands with a lower donor capability in clusters 4 proved to be subject to substitution by stronger donating monodentate phosphine ligands (L' = PMePh2, PMe2Ph, PBu3) yielding clusters [(PtL')3(mu-SR)3]Cl (9). In case of the reaction of clusters 4 and 9 with PPh2CH2PPh2 (dppm), a fragmentation reaction occurred, and the complexes [(PtL)2(mu-SMe)(mu-dppm)]Cl (12) and [Pt(mu-SMe)2(dppm)] (13) were isolated. Furthermore, oxidation reactions of cluster [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu-SMe)3]Cl (4a) using halogens (Br2, I2) gave dimeric platinum(II) complexes cis-[{PtX(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)2] (14, X = Br, I) whereas oxidation reactions using sulfur and selenium afforded chalcogen capped trinuclear 48 ve complexes [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu3-E)(mu-SMe)3] (15, E = S, Se). All compounds were fully characterized by means of NMR and IR spectroscopy, microanalyses, and ESI mass spectrometry. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction analyses were performed for the triangular cluster 4a, the trinuclear complex 6, as well as for the dinuclear complexes trans-[{Pt(AsPh3)}2(mu-SPh)2] (5c), [{Pt(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)(mu-dppm)]Cl (12a), and [{{PtBr(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)2] (14a).  相似文献

The Schiff bases of N(2)O(2) dibasic ligands, H(2)La and H(2)Lb are prepared by the condensation of ethylenediamine (a) and trimethylenediamine (b) with 6-formyl-7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2-methylbenzopyran-4-one. Also tetra basic ligands, H(4)La and H(4)Lb are prepared by the condensation of aliphatic amines (a) and (b) with 6-formyl-5,7-dihydroxy-2-methylbenzopyran-4-one. New complexes of H(4)La and H(4)Lb with metal ions Mn(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) are synthesized, in addition Mn(II) complexes with ligands H(2)La and H(2)Lb are also synthesized. Elemental and thermal analyses, infrared, ultraviolet-visible as well as conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements are used to elucidate the structure of the newly prepared metal complexes. The structures of copper(II) complexes are also assigned based upon ESR spectra study. All the complexes separated with the stoichiometric ratio (1:1) (M:L) except Mn-H(4)La and Mn-H(4)Lb with (2:1) (M:L) molar ratio. In metal chelates of the type 1:1 (M:L), the Schiff bases behave as a dinegative N(2)O(2) tetradentate ligands. Moreover in 2:1 (M:L) complexes, the Schiff base molecules act as mono negative bidentate ligand and binuclear complex is then formed. The Schiff bases were assayed by the disc diffusion method for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The antifungal activity of the Schiff bases was also evaluated against the fungi Aspergillus flavus and Candida albicans.  相似文献

Complexation of copper(II) with a series of heterodonor chelating Schiff bases (LL) of salicylic acid hydrazide and aliphatic or cycloaliphatic ketones affords soluble one-dimensional (1D) metallopolymers containing Schiff bases as bridging ligands. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction results reveal nanometer-sized metallopolymeric wires [Cu(μ-LL)(2)](n) with off-axis linkers and a zigzag geometry. Octahedrally coordinated copper centers, exhibiting a Jahn-Teller distortion, are doubly bridged by two Schiff-base molecules in the μ(2)-η(1),η(2) coordination mode. The use of dibutylketone with long alkyl chains as a component for Schiff base formation leads to a distorted square planar monomeric copper(II) complex [Cu(LL)(2)], as evidenced by its X-ray crystal structure. The compounds are characterized by elemental analyses and IR and UV-vis spectroscopy, as well as magnetic susceptibility and cyclic voltammetry measurements. Electrochemical studies on the complexes reveal an existence of polymeric and monomeric forms in solution and the dependence of Cu(II)/Cu(I) reduction potentials on alkyl groups of salicyloyl hydrazone ligands. Polymeric complexes form conducting films on Pt electrodes upon multicycle potential sweeps.  相似文献

Cobalt(II) complexes of a new series of unsymmetrical Schiff bases have been synthesized and characterized by their elemental analyses, melting points, magnetic susceptibility, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, infrared (IR), and electronic spectral measurements. The purity of the ligands and the metal complexes are confirmed by microanalysis, while the unsymmetrical nature of the ligands was further corroborated by 1H-NMR. Comparison of the IR spectra of the Schiff bases and their metal complexes confirm that the Schiff bases are tetradentate and coordinated via N2O2 chromophore. The magnetic moments and electronic spectral data support square-planar geometry for the cobalt(II) complexes. The complexes were thermally stable to 372.3°C and their thermal decomposition was generally via the partial loss of the organic moiety. The Schiff bases and their complexes were screened for in vitro antibacterial activities against 10 human pathogenic bacteria and their minimum inhibitory concentrations were determined. Both the free ligands and cobalt(II) complexes exhibit antibacterial activities against some strains of the microorganisms, which in a number of cases were comparable with, or higher than, that of chloramphenicol.  相似文献

A number of pivalamidate bridged dinuclear [PtII2(RNH2)4(NHCOtBu)2]2+, [PtIII2LL (RNH2)4(NHCOtBu)2]n+ (2RNH2 = 2NH3, 1,2-ethylenediamine, 1,2-diaminocyclohexane; L, L' = NO3-, H2O, or ketonate), trinuclear [{PtII(dap)(NHCOtBu)2}2PdIII]3+ (dap = 1,2-diaminopropane), tetranuclear [{PtII2(NH3)2(DACH)(NHCOtBu)2}2]4+ (DACH = 1,2-diaminocyclohexane), pentanuclear [{Pt2(C5H7O)(NH3)2Cl2(NHCOtBu)2}2PtCl4], and hexanuclear [Pt2(NH3)2(en)(NHCOtBu)2Pt(NO2)4]2 platinum complexes containing Pt(II)-Pt(II), Pt(II)-Pt(III), Pt(II)-Pd(III), and Pt(III)-Pt(III) interactions have been prepared and structurally characterized. The Pt-Pt interactions are characteristic of covalent, dative, or orbital symmetric Pt-Pt bonds. The dimeric Pt(III) complexes are able to activate C-H bonds of ketones to afford ketonate platinum(III) complexes. The Pt-Pt bonds are either doubly amidate-bridged or ligand unsupported. Their distances are 2.99-3.22 A for Pt(II)-Pt(II), 2.59-2.72 A for Pt(III)-Pt(III), 2.98 A for Pt(II)-Pt(III), and 2.66 A for Pt(II)-Pd(III) bonds depending on the oxidation states of the two metals and the ancillary ligands.  相似文献

Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes with the anions of the model nucleobases 1-methylthymine (1-MethyH), 1-methyluracil (1-MeuraH), and 1-methylcytosine (1-MecytH) of the types [Pd(dmba)(mu-L)]2 [dmba = N,C-chelating 2-((dimethylamino)methyl)phenyl; L = 1-Methy, 1-Meura or 1-Mecyt] and [M(dmba)(L)(L')] [L = 1-Methy or 1-Meura; L' = PPh(3) (M = Pd or Pt), DMSO (M = Pt)] have been obtained. Palladium complexes of the types [Pd(C6F5)(N-N)(L)] [L = 1-Methy or 1-Meura; N-N = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmeda), 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), or 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (Me2bpy)] and [NBu4][Pd(C6F5)(1-Methy)2(H2O)] have also been prepared. The crystal structures of [Pd(dmba)(mu-1-Methy)]2, [Pd(dmba)(mu-1-Mecyt)]2.2CHCl3, [Pd(dmba)(1-Methy)(PPh3)].3CHCl3, [Pt(dmba)(1-Methy)(PPh3)], [Pd(tmeda)(C6F5)(1-Methy)], and [NBu4][Pd(C6F5)(1-Methy)2(H2O)].H2O have been established by X-ray diffraction. The DNA adduct formation of the new platinum complexes synthesized was followed by circular dichroism and electrophoretic mobility. Atomic force microscopy images of the modifications caused by the platinum complexes on plasmid DNA pBR322 were also obtained. Values of IC50 were also calculated for the new platinum complexes against the tumor cell line HL-60. All the new platinum complexes were more active than cisplatin (up to 20-fold in some cases).  相似文献

New complexes of general formula, [M(NNS)Cl] (M = PdII, PtII; NNS = anionic forms of the 6-methyl-2-formylpyridine Schiff bases of S-methyl- and S-benzyldithiocarbazates) have been prepared and characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. Based on conductance and spectral evidence, a square-planar structure is assigned to these complexes. The crystal and molecular structure of the [Pd(mpasme)Cl] complex (mpasme=anionic form of the 6-methyl-2-formylpyridine Schiff base of S-methyldithiocarbazate) has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex has a distorted square-planar geometry with the ligand coordinated to the palladium(II) ion via the pyridine nitrogen atom, the azomethine nitrogen atom and the thiolate sulfur atom; the fourth coordination position around the palladium(II) ion is occupied by the chloride ligand. The distortion from a regular square-planar geometry is ascribed to the restricted bite angle of the ligand. Both the Schiff bases exhibit strong cytotoxicity against the human ovarian cancer (Caov-3) cell lines, the S-methyl derivative being two times more active than the S-benzyl derivative. The [Pt(mpasme)Cl] complex is moderately active but the palladium(II) complex is weakly active against this cancer. None of the complexes of Hmpsbz are active against Caov-3. The Schiff base, Hmpasme exhibits moderate activity against the bacteria, MRSA, P. aeruginosa and S. typhimurium but is inactive against B. subtilis. Coordination of the ligand with palladium(II) substantially reduces its activity. The Schiff base, Hmpasbz and its palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes are inactive against these bacteria. The Schiff bases and their palladium(II) and platinum (II) complexes are inactive against the pathogenic fungi, C. albican, Aspergillus ochraceous and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  相似文献

A series of metal complexes were synthesized from equimolar amounts of Schiff bases: 1,4-bis[3-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)propyl]piperazine (bappnaf) and 1,8-bis[3-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)-p-menthane (damnaf) with metal chlorides. All of synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (UV-vis, IR, (1)H-(13)C NMR, LC-MS) and thermal (TGA-DTA) methods, magnetic and conductance measurements. Schiff base complexes supposed in tetragonal geometry have the general formula [M(bappnaf or damnaf)]Cl.nH(2)O, where M=Cr(III), Co(III) and n=2, 3. But also Fe(III) complexes have octahedral geometry by the coordination of two water molecules and the formula is [Fe(bappnaf or damnaf)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl. The changes in the selected vibration bands in FT-IR indicate that Schiff bases behave as (ONNO) tetradentate ligands and coordinate to metal ions from two phenolic oxygen atoms and two azomethine nitrogen atoms. Conductance measurements suggest 1:1 electrolytic nature of the metal complexes. The synthesized compounds except bappnaf ligand have the antimicrobial activity against the bacteria: Escherichia coli (ATCC 11230), Yersinia enterocolitica (ATCC 1501), Bacillus magaterium (RSKK 5117), Bacillus subtilis (RSKK 244), Bacillus cereus (RSKK 863) and the fungi: Candida albicans (ATCC 10239). These results have been considerably interest in piperazine derivatives due to their significant applications in antimicrobial studies.  相似文献

The Schiff bases, 5-nitro-indol-2,3-dionehydrazinecarboxamide (HSCZ1) and 7-nitro-indol-2,3- dionehydrazinecarboxamide (HSCZ2), have been synthesized by the condensation of 5-nitro-indol-2,3-dione and 7-nitro-1H-indol-2,3-dione with semicarbazide hydrochloride, respectively. The palladium(II) and platinum( II) complexes have been prepared by mixing palladium chloride and platinum chloride in 1: 2 molar ratios with monobasic bidentate Schiff bases. The ligands and complexes of palladium and platinum have been characterized by elemental analyses, melting point determinations, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, and IR, 1H NMR, and UV spectral studies. These studies showed that the ligands coordinate to the metal atoms in a monobasic bidentate mode, coordinating through oxygen and nitrogen donor systems. Thus, a tetracoordinated environment around the metal atom has been proposed. Both the ligands and their complexes have been screened for their biological activity on several pathogenic fungi and bacteria and were found to possess appreciable fungicidal and bactericidal properties. Plant growth regulating activity of one of the ligands and its complexes has also been recorded on gram plant, and results have been discussed. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization is reported of four iron(III) complexes of general formula [Fe(pythsalX)(H2O)2]Cl2, derived from the NSNO-donor tetradentate Schiff base ligands pythsalHX ([5-X-N-(2-pyridylethylsulfanylethyl)salicylideneimine] (X = OMe, N2Ph, I, NO2). The complexes were characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The thermal stabilities of both the free Schiff bases and their complexes were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analyses. The spectroscopic data suggest that the Schiff base ligands coordinate through deprotonated phenolic oxygen, imine, and pyridine-type nitrogens and the thioether sulfur atoms to give an octahedral geometry around the iron(III) atom in all these complexes. The free Schiff bases and their complexes have been screened for antimicrobial activities and the results show that the free Schiff bases are more potent antibacterials than the complexes.  相似文献

Some binary and ternary novel complexes of dioxouranium(VI) with 8-hydroxy-7-quinolinecarboxaldehyde (OXH) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements and spectral studies. Coordination effects on the vibrational spectra of the ligands have been investigated. The amine exchange reactions of coordinated Schiff bases in these complexes have been also studied, which reveal symmetrical tetradentate Schiff base complexes. Metal exchange reaction of dioxouranium(VI) complexes was obtained when reacted with tetradentate Schiff base complexes of Cu(II) with ZrCl(4)/UO(2)(CH(3)COO)(2) giving heterobinuclear complexes. Magnetic, electronic and IR spectral data suggest the configurations of distorted square planar ligand field copper(II) complexes. The ligands behave as bi-(O,O) and tetradentate (N(2),O(2)) donors. El-Sonbati equation has been used to evaluate the symmetric stretching frequency from which the F(U-O) and F(UO,UO)(-) were calculated. The bond distances of these complexes were also investigated.  相似文献

The Pt-L bond energies of simple triammineplatinum(II) complexes, [Pt(NH(3))(3)L](2+), with oxygen-, nitrogen-, and sulfur-containing donor ligands L have been predicted and rationalized using density functional theory. The ligands L have been chosen as models for functionalities of peptide side chains, for sulfur-containing protecting agents, and for adenine and guanine sites of the DNA as the ultimate target of platinum anticancer drugs. Calculation of the Pt-L bond energy in [Pt(NH(3))(3)L](2+) reveals that the soft metal center of triammineplatinum(II) prefers N ligands over S ligands. This remarkable result has been discussed in light of several interpretations of the hard and soft acids and bases principle. The concept of orbital-symmetry-based energy decomposition has been employed for the determination of the contributions from sigma and pi orbital interactions, electrostatics, and intramolecular hydrogen bonding to the Pt-L bond energy. The calculations show that considerable differences in the bond energies of the triammineplatinum(II) complexes with N-heterocycles such as 1-methylimidazole, 9-methyladenine, and 9-methylguanine arise from electrostatics rather than from orbital interactions. Surprisingly, the net stabilization by hydrogen bonding between the (Pt)N-H group and the oxygen of 9-methylguanine is as weak as the intramolecular hydrogen bond in the aqua complex [Pt(NH(3))(3)(H(2)O)](2+), challenging the common hypothesis that DNA-active anticancer drugs require carrier ligands with N-H functionalities because of their hydrogen-bonding ability. The influence of a polarizable environment on the stability of the complexes has been investigated systematically with the dependence of the dielectric constant epsilon. With increasing epsilon, the complexes with S-containing ligands are more strongly stabilized than the complexes of the N-containing heterocycles. At epsilon = 78.4, the dielectric constant of water, 9-methylguanine remains the only purine derivative investigated which is competitive to neutral sulfur ligands. These findings are particularly important for a rationalization of the results from recent experimental studies on the competition of biological donor ligands L for coordination with the metal center of [Pt(dien)L](2+) (dien = 1,5-diamino 3-azapentane).  相似文献

Some metal complexes of Schiff bases have been prepared by the interactions of palladium(II) and platinum(II) chloride with 5-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(phenyl)-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one-hydrazinecarbothioamide(L1H) and 5-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(phenyl)-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one-hydrazinecarboxamide(L2H), in bimolar ratios. All the new compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. The spectral data are consistent with a square planar geometry around Pd(II) and Pt(II) in which the ligands act as neutral bidentate and monobasic bidentate ligands, coordinating through the nitrogen and sulfur/oxygen atoms. Free ligands and their metal complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity on different species of pathogenic fungi and bacteria and their biopotency has been discussed.  相似文献

A series of homodinuclear platinum(II) complexes containing bridging chalcogenido ligands, [Pt(2)(mu-E)(2)(P empty set N)(4)] (P empty set N=dppy, E=S (1), Se (2); P empty set N=tBu-dppy, E=S (3)) (dppy=2-(diphenylphosphino)pyridine, tBu-dppy=4-tert-butyl-2-(diphenylphosphino)pyridine) have been synthesized and characterized. The nucleophilicity of the [Pt(2)E(2)] unit towards a number of d(10) metal ions and complexes has been demonstrated through the successful isolation of a number of novel heteropolynuclear platinum(II)-copper(I), -silver(I), and -gold(I) complexes: [[Pt(2)(mu(3)-E)(2)(dppy)(4)](2)Ag(3)](PF(6))(3) (E=S (4); Se (5)) and [Pt(2)(dppy)(4)(mu(3)-E)(2)M(2)(dppm)]X(2) (E=S, M=Ag, X=BF(4) (6); E=S, M=Cu, X=PF(6) (7); E=S, M=Au, X=PF(6) (8); E=Se, M=Ag, X=PF(6) (9); E=Se, M=Au, X=PF(6) (10)). Some of them display short metal.metal contacts. These complexes have been found to possess interesting luminescence properties. Through systematic comparison studies, the emission origin has been probed.  相似文献

The reaction of the chelating ligands (obtained by the condensation of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde with various primary amines) with [RuHCl(CO)(EPh3)2(B)] (where E=P; B=PPh3, py or pip: E=As; B=AsPh3) in benzene afforded new stable ruthenium(II) carbonyl complexes of the general formula [Ru(Cl)(CO)(EPh3)(B)(L)] (L=anion of bidentate Schiff bases). The structure of the new complexes was investigated using elemental analyses, spectral (FT-IR, UV-vis and 1H NMR) and electrochemical studies and is found to be octahedral. All the metal complexes exhibit characteristic MLCT absorption and luminescence bands in the visible region. The luminescence efficiency of the ruthenium(II) complexes was explained based on the ligand environment around the metal ion. These complexes catalyze oxidation of primary and secondary alcohols into their corresponding carbonyl compounds in the presence of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMO) as the source of oxygen. The formation of high valent Ru(IV)=O species as a catalytic intermediate is proposed for the catalytic process.  相似文献
