On the construction of the Lyapunov function with sign-definite derivative with the help of auxiliary functions with sign-constant derivatives

The short survey of studies of the asymptotic stability with the help of auxiliary functions (positive definite and nonnegative) whose derivatives are nonpositive by virtue of the equations of perturbed motion and the construction of positive definite Lyapunov functions with negative definite derivatives on the basis of these auxiliary functions is given. The example of the construction of the Lyapunov function with the use of an auxiliary nonnegative function with nonpositive derivative is presented.     

On the equiconvergence rate with the Fourier integral of the spectral expansion associated with the self-adjoint extension of the Sturm-Liouville operator with uniformly locally integrable potential

In the space L ₂(?), we consider the self-adjoint extension \(\mathcal{L}\) of the Sturm-Liouville operator ly = ?y″ + q(x)y whose potential q is uniformly locally integrable on ?, i.e., satisfies the condition

. We study the problem on the equiconvergence rate of the spectral expansion associated with \(\mathcal{L}\) of a function f ∈ L ₁(?) with the Fourier integral on the entire real line. We obtain uniform estimates of the equiconvergence rate under some additional conditions on f or q.

     

Investigation of invariant sets with random perturbations with the use of the Lyapunov function

Modeling the spread of Rubella disease using the concept of with local derivative with fractional parameter

Our aim in this work was to examine the model underpinning the spread of the Rubella virus using the novel derivative called beta‐derivative. The study of the equilibrium points together with the analysis of the disease free equilibrium points was presented. Due to the complexity of the modified equation, we introduced a new operator based on the Sumudu transform. The properties of this operator were proposed and proved in detail. We made used of this operator together with the idea of perturbation method to derive a special solution of the extended model. The stability of the method for solving this model was presented. The uniqueness of the special solution was presented, and numerical simulations were done. Families of cuts with the MFMC-property

A family ℱ of cuts of an undirected graphG=(V, E) is known to have the weak MFMC-property if (i) ℱ is the set ofT-cuts for someT⊆V with |T| even, or (ii) ℱ is the set of two-commodity cuts ofG, i.e. cuts separating any two distinguished pairs of vertices ofG, or (iii) ℱ is the set of cuts induced (in a sense) by a ring of subsets of a setT⊆V. In the present work we consider a large class of families of cuts of complete graphs and prove that a family from this class has the MFMC-property if and only if it is one of (i), (ii), (iii).

运用强连续半群理论研究两同型部件温贮备可修系统解的指数渐近性质,首先证明系统所生成的C0半群T(t)是拟紧的.其次证明0是对应于系统的主算子及其共轭算子的几何重数和代数重数为1的特征值,推出在右半平面和虚轴上除0以外其他所有点都属于该算子的豫解集,由此推出该系统的时间依赖解当时刻趋向于无穷时强收敛于系统的稳态解.     

p-Laplacian problems with nonlinearities interacting with the spectrum

The aim of this paper is investigating the existence and the multiplicity of weak solutions of the quasilinear elliptic problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-\Delta_p u\ =\ g(x, u) \quad {\rm in} \quad \Omega,\\ u=0 \qquad \qquad \qquad {\rm on}\quad \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ where ${1 < p < + \infty, \Delta_p u = {\rm div}(|\nabla {u}|^{p-2}\nabla {u})}$ , Ω is an open bounded domain of ${\mathbb{R}^N (N \geq 3)}$ with smooth boundary ?Ω and the nonlinearity g behaves as u ^p?1 at infinity. The main tools of the proof are some abstract critical point theorems in Bartolo et al. (Nonlinear Anal. 7: 981–1012, 1983), but extended to Banach spaces, and two sequences of quasi–eigenvalues for the p–Laplacian operator as in Candela and Palmieri (Calc. Var. 34: 495–530, 2009), Li and Zhou (J. Lond. Math. Soc. 65: 123–138, 2002).     

On the generalization of the Euler polynomials with the real parameters

In this study, we give multiplication formula for generalized Euler polynomials of order α and obtain some explicit recursive formulas. The multiple alternating sums with positive real parameters a and b are evaluated in terms of both generalized Euler and generalized Bernoulli polynomials of order α. Finally we obtained some interesting special cases.
