A three-dimensional CFD-DEM model is proposed to investigate the aeolian sand movement.The results show that the mean particle horizontal velocity can be expressed by a power function of heights.The probability distribution of the impact and lift-off velocities of particles can be described by a log-normal function,and that of the impact and lift-off angles can be expressed by an exponential function.The probability distribution of particle horizontal velocity at different heights can be described as a lognormal function,while the probability distribution of longitudinal and vertical velocity can be described as a normal function.The comparison with previous two-dimensional calculations shows that the variations of mean particle horizontal velocity along the heights in two-dimensional and three-dimensional models are similar.However,the mean particle density of the two-dimensional model is larger than that in reality,which will result in the overestimation of sand transportation rate in the two-dimensional calculation.The study also shows that the predicted probability distributions of particle velocities are in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

Two speckle patterns are recorded on a photographic plate which lies in the image plane of a rough surface. The angle of incidence of the parallel beam illuminating the object is slightly varied between the two exposures. It is possible to localize and measure different roughness of the surface by observing suitably the photographic plate. The evaluation of flow records obtained by particle image velocimetry (PIV) employs the interrogation of certain regions in the flow image. Basic relations are derived for the case that the velocity is not constant within the region of interrogation. The influence of a distribution of velocities on the Young's fringe system and its Fourier transform, the autocorrelation of the flow record, are discussed. The considerations show that there is an easy access to statistical parameters of the flow by carrying out large-field interrogation. The autocorrelation function will reproduce the probability density function of the velocity, and there is no need for a large number of time-consuming small-area interrogations. Furthermore, the effects of velocity variations in ordinary fringe analysis are discussed. Examples are given from synthetic PIV records and measurements in a wind tunnel.  相似文献

本文提出一种基于单帧单曝光图像的气固两相流固相颗粒的速度场测量方法。通过控制相机的单次曝光时间获得流场中颗粒的单帧运动模糊图像,运用分水岭算法分割图像,提取颗粒,由自相关函数获得各颗粒的速度大小和方向,重建二维速度场。利用该方法对玻璃珠在空气中重力沉降的速度测量结果与理论值基本一致,矢量场与颗粒运动轨迹相符,说明该方法可以用于气固两相流速度场的测量。研究发现使用片光源比背光源能够获得更加准确的速度值。  相似文献

A new finite volume-based numerical algorithm for predicting incompressible and compressible multi-phase flow phenomena is presented. The technique is equally applicable in the subsonic, transonic, and supersonic regimes. The method is formulated on a non-orthogonal coordinate system in collocated primitive variables. Pressure is selected as a dependent variable in preference to density because changes in pressure are significant at all speeds as opposed to variations in density, which become very small at low Mach numbers. The pressure equation is derived from overall mass conservation. The performance of the new method is assessed by solving the following two-dimensional two-phase flow problems: (i) incompressible turbulent bubbly flow in a pipe, (ii) incompressible turbulent air–particle flow in a pipe, (iii) compressible dilute gas–solid flow over a flat plate, and (iv) compressible dusty flow in a converging diverging nozzle. Predictions are shown to be in excellent agreement with published numerical and/or experimental data.  相似文献

Velocity and density distributions of a high-speed and initial CO2 jet flow have been analyzed concurrently by a developed three-dimensional digital speckle tomography and a particle image velocimetry (PIV). Two high-speed cameras have been used for the tomography and one for the PIV since a shape of a nozzle for the jet flow is bilaterally symmetric and the starting flow is fast and unsteady. The speckle movements between no flow and CO2 jet flow have been obtained by a cross-correlation tracking method so that those distances can be transferred to deflection angles of laser rays for density gradients. The three-dimensional density fields for the high-speed CO2 jet flow have been reconstructed from the deflection angles by the real-time tomography method, and the two-dimensional velocity fields have been calculated by the PIV method concurrently and instantaneously.  相似文献

This article presents two algorithms for spatial processing of low seeding density PIV (particle image velocimetry) images which lead to sub-pixel precision in particle positioning. The particle centres are estimated to accuracies of the order of 0.1 pixel, yielding 1% error in velocity calculation. The first algorithm discriminates valid particles from the rest of the image and determines their centres in Cartesian coordinates by using a two-dimensional Gaussian fit. The second algorithm performs local correlation between particle pairs and determines instantaneous two-dimensional velocities. The methods have been applied initially to simulated data. Gaussian noise and distortion has then been added to simulate experimental conditions. It is shown that, in comparison with conventional methods, the new algorithms offer up to an order of magnitude higher accuracy for particle centre estimation. Finally, the Gaussian fit approach has been used to map an experimental transonic flow field from the stator trailing edge wake region of a cascade with an estimated error of 1%. The experimental results are found to be in good agreement with previous theoretical steady-state viscous calculations.  相似文献

If a hologram of a vibrating object is recorded on a photographic plate which vibrates synchronously with the object, the reconstructed image produces equi-amplitude fringes of the object vibration, the amplitude of which is reduced by a constant determined from the amplitude of the plate vibration. This phenomenon can be used as a method to extend the measurable range of vibration amplitudes, and some experimental results are shown.  相似文献

We present two methods for three-dimensional particle metrology from a single two-dimensional view. The techniques are based on wavefront sensing where the three-dimensional location of a particle is encoded into a single image plane. The first technique is based on multiplanar imaging, and the second produces three-dimensional location information via anamorphic distortion of the recorded images. Preliminary results show that an uncertainty of 8 microm in depth can be obtained for low-particle density over a thin plane, and an uncertainty of 30 microm for higher particle density over a 10 mm deep volume.  相似文献

The reconstruction of an in-line Fraunhofer (far-field) hologram is re-examined, and an analytical solution of the intensity distribution throughout the entire reconstructed image is presented. The solution bridges the gap between previously documented solutions which are limited to the plane-of-focus image and distant out-of-focus images. The analysis is motivated by a particle velocity measurement technique which attempts to distinguish the focussed image by photographic thresholding. The general methodology is presented for objects of one- and two-dimensional cross-section. Specific results are presented for the single exposure holograms of a long wire and a small particle of circular cross-section. The one-dimensional solution is verified experimentally. The results show precisely how the Fresnel diffraction term creates peaks in the intensity distribution, both upstream and downstream of the focussed image. This characteristic limits the resolution of methods which use thresholding as a means of distinguishing focussed images from their out-of-focus neighbors.  相似文献

One of the main consequences of chaos is that transport is enhanced with respect to the fluid at rest, where only molecular diffusion is present. Considering long times and spatial scales much larger than the length scale of the velocity field, particles typically diffuse with a diffusion constant, usually much bigger than the molecular one. Nevertheless there are some important physical systems in which the particle motion is not a normal diffusive process: in such a case one speaks of anomalous diffusion. In this paper, anomalous diffusion is experimentally studied in an oscillating two-dimensional vortex system. In particular, scalar enhanced diffusion due to the synchronization between different characteristic frequencies of the investigated flow (i.e., resonance) is investigated. The flow has been generated by applying an electromagnetic forcing on a thin layer of an electrolyte solution and measurements are made through image analysis. In particular, by using the Feature Tracking (FT) technique, we are able to obtain a large amount of Lagrangian data (i.e., the seeding density can be very high and trajectories can be followed for large time intervals) and transport can be characterized by analyzing the growth of the variance of particle displacements versus time and the dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the flow characteristic frequencies.  相似文献

We consider the diffusion of the low-inertia particle number density field in random divergence-free hydrodynamic flows. The principal feature of this diffusion is the divergence of the particle velocity field, which results in clustering of the particle number density field. This phenomenon is coherent, occurs with a unit probability, and must show up in almost all realizations of the process dynamics. We calculate the statistical parameters that characterize clustering in three-dimensional and two-dimensional random fluid flows and in a rapidly rotating two-dimensional random flow. In the former case, the vortex component of the random divergence-free flow generates a vortex component of the low-inertia particle velocity field, which generates a potential component of the velocity field through advection. By contrast, in the case of rapid rotation, a potential component of the velocity field is generated directly by the vortex component of the random divergence-free flow (linear problem).  相似文献

This work investigates the impact of the background turbulence generated by randomly placed cylinders on the vortex shedding regime and the mechanisms associated to vorticity fluxes. The goals are achieved by exploring velocity databases acquired with a two-dimensional particle image velocimetry system in two types of turbulent flow experiments: flow around a single infinite cylinder and flow within random array of infinite cylinders. Formation lengths, power spectral density functions and vortex distributions are employed to discuss the vortex shedding regime. The effects of background turbulence and vorticity cancellation, due to opposite sign vorticity, on the vorticity fluxes are discussed. The results show that the background turbulence reduces the formation length and consequently increase the shedding frequency. The stronger decay of longitudinal vorticity flux in denser arrays is not accompanied by an increase of the lateral flux of vorticity. Furthermore, it was concluded that the decay of longitudinal vorticity flux is mainly caused by the vorticity cancellation due to the vorticity of opposite sign of close downstream cylinders.  相似文献

A two-dimensional self-consistent nonequilibrium fluid model is used to simulate radio frequency (RF) glow discharges to evaluate the quantitative effects of the radial and axial flow dynamics inside a cylindrically symmetric parallel-plate geometry. This model is based on the three moments of the Boltzmann equation and on Poisson's equation. Radial/axial flow dynamics of plasma in low-pressure parallel plate RF glow discharges are investigated. Instead of uniform profiles along the radial direction, which are assumed in one-dimensional models, nonplate profiles are obtained from the two-dimensional simulations. Ionization rate and three moment distributions of plasma density, average velocity, and mean energy are presented in a two-dimensional configuration. The maximum ionization rate occurs in the radial sheath region and agrees with experimental results. Variations in ion density distributions at different positions, various gas pressures frequencies, and applied fields are discussed  相似文献

A new method for the simultaneous determination of the distribution of particle mass density and the distribution of particle size with a technique with only a single measurement is presented. The basic idea of the new optical method is the analysis of gravitational particle settling by a digital image acquisition system. Individual particles illuminated by a laser light sheet are tracked by a continuously operating CCD camera. The projected area, shape factors and the centre of gravity are detected during the sedimentation process from a series of images with a constant time spread. As the algorithm is based on single particle tracking, the heterogeneity of the sample can be taken into account. From these measured particle characteristics, particle size and settling rate are calculated. Thus particle mass density is obtained taking into account also the influence of particle shape on the settling process. This method, which we name sedimentation image analysis (SIA), is particularly suitable for the characterization of heterogeneous material, e.g. soil, in the micrometer range.  相似文献

针对红外目标在跟踪中计算复杂的问题,构建辅助粒子滤波算法。利用贝叶斯重要性采样算法,在权值大的粒子基础上引入辅助粒子变量,然后重新定义重要采样分布函数,防止重采样后粒子概率密度变化。两次加权计算,使粒子权值比仅用重采样的粒子权值变化更稳定,采样点最接近真实状态;同时不同权值粒子的概率阈值可作为粒子滤波是否完成的判断准则。在二维平面构造红外运动目标模型中,系统为零均值高斯白噪声。仿真数据表明:该算法在x,y方向的均方误差、画面处理时间、RM SE性能上优于粒子滤波算法和重采样粒子滤波算法。  相似文献

为实现惯性约束聚变(ICF)实验中同时获取靶点的X射线1维动态和2维静态积分图像,提出了一种全新的X射线图像采集方法。结合成像板与X射线条纹相机的工作特性,通过在阴极狭缝前精密耦合成像板,实现X射线图像到达狭缝的同时采集其外围区域的静态积分图像。该方法具有对靶点X射线图像的1维动态与2维静态图像对比分析、成像系统像面位置精密空间定位的功能。利用该方法在神光Ⅱ装置上实现搭载Kirkpatrick-Baez(KB)显微镜获得内爆靶球压缩流线图,并应用于流体不稳定性实验中。  相似文献

Carrier-frequency photography in incoherent light can be employed for storing a number of real amplitude objects on a single photographic plate. The objects are placed, successively in contact with a grid and a frequency-plane mask selects two different spectral orders for each object. 本文从描述多维湍流气固两相流的两流体模型出发,导出了计算湍流气固两相流中固体颗粒扩散速度的计算模型,进而基于在一维流场中颗粒的终端速度是重力加速度gi的函数,提出在多维流场中颗粒相处于一个修正的加速度场g'i的作用下,该修正的加速度g'i包含了包括重力在内的各种力的作用,这些力对颗粒的加速作用与重力对颗粒的加速作用没有区别。根据这种观点,提出了用于模拟多维湍流气固两相流的改进的扩散模型。本文使用改进的扩散模型对台阶后方的气固两相流进行了数值模拟,并将数值计算结果与实验结果进行了比较,结果表明,改进的扩散模型的预报结果与实验结果符合得相当好。  相似文献

A new method for the determination of two characteristics of a sample of particles, the correlation of particle mass density with particle size and the distribution of particle mass density, is presented. The new method to meet these requirements is based on the combination of two optical particle sizing techniques where the measured particle characteristics have a different dependence on particle mass density. Photosedimentation and laser diffraction were chosen as suitable techniques for this goal. The determination of particle mass density by photosedimentation and laser diffraction is based on the fact that for each particle size class of the sample to be analysed the mass density can be calculated by an application of the Lambert-Beer law. The particle size distribution of the sample has to be known for the determination of particle mass density, and it is measured by laser diffraction. From this, two particle characteristics, the relationship of particle mass density and particle size and the distribution of particle mass density, are obtained. The capacity of the algorithm and its limitations are demonstrated by computational simulations including an error propagation analysis. Experimental results are shown for homogeneous and heterogeneous materials.  相似文献
