Semileptonic and non-leptonic decays of the B c meson to B s and B mesons, caused by the quark transitions, are studied in the framework of the relativistic quark model. The heavy quark expansion in inverse powers of the active c and spectator quark is used to simplify calculations while the final s and d quarks in the B s and B mesons are treated relativistically. The decay form factors are explicitly expressed through the overlap integrals of the meson wave functions in the whole accessible kinematical range. We study the polarization anomaly of the B d φK *0 decay and the time-dependent CP asymmetry S φKS of the B d φK S decay in a Z′ model associated with flavor changing neutral currents at the tree level. We obtain the results of 0.0113 < ξ < 0.0127 and 0.0226 < ξ < 0.0255 for the two decay processes when setting ξ LL = ξ RL = ξ LR = ξ RR = ξ, ξ LL = ξ RL = ξ, and ξ LR = ξ RR = 0, respectively. These results are consistent with the constraints and assumptions on the model parameters in some references. We discuss our attempts to generalize the known examples of dualities in N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theories to exceptional gauge groups. We derive some dual pairs from known examples connected to exceptional groups and find an interesting phenomenon: sometimes the full global symmetry is “hidden” on the magnetic side. It is not realized as a symmetry on the fundamental fields in the Lagrangian. Rather, it emerges as a symmetry of the quantum theory. We then focus on an approach based on self-dual models. We construct duals for some very special matter content of E7, E6 and F4. Again we find that the full global symmetry is not realized on the fundamental fields.  相似文献

The prospects for determining |Vub| from exclusive B semileptonic decay are discussed. The double ratio of form factors (f(B→ρ)/f(BK*))/(f(D→ρ)/f(DK*)) is calculated using chiral perturbation theory. Its deviation from unity due to contributions that are non-analytic in the symmetry breaking parameters is very small. Combining experimental data obtainable from , and can lead to a model independent determination of |Vub| with an uncertainty from theory of about 10%.  相似文献

Rotational analysis of bands arising from A (v = 0 through 9) and B (v = 0 through 7) states in and systems of As2 molecule has been carried out. Important perturbations are observed, and the Bv-values are not constant with J, except for the three levels A (v = 0), A (v = 1) and B (v = 1), for which they are, respectively, 0.07202 ± 0.00001, 0.073199 ± 0.000007, and 0.077770 ± 0.000003 cm−1. An experimental study of some assorted glycerol properties is carried out in order to determine, under high static pressure, the glycerol nonlinearity parameter B/A against temperature by a modified isentropic method. The static pressure and temperature ranges exploited in this experimental investigation, of various glycerol properties, are extended respectively from 0.1 to 100 MPa and from 10 to 100 °C. The static pressure step of two consecutive measurements is 10 MPa and the temperature step is 10 °C. The measured values show that, in glycerol, the density ρ0 and the infinitesimal ultrasonic wave velocity c0 increase monotonically with the imposed static pressure and decrease monotonically with temperature. The present investigation shows that the nonlinearity parameter B/A is a function of the imposed static pressure and temperature. The accuracy of the measured B/A values is estimated at about ±2%.  相似文献

The total space of the spinor bundle on the four-dimensional sphere S4 is a quaternionic line bundle that admits a metric of Spin(7) holonomy. We consider octonionic Yang–Mills instanton on this eight-dimensional gravitational instanton. This is a higher dimensional generalization of (anti-) self-dual instanton on the Eguchi-Hanson space. We propose an ansatz for Spin(7) Yang–Mills field and derive a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. The solutions are classified according to the asymptotic behavior at infinity. We give a complete solution when the gauge group is reduced to a product of SU(2) subalgebras in Spin(7). The existence of more general Spin(7) valued solutions can be seen by making an asymptotic expansion.  相似文献

A review of the Higgs and neutralino sector of supersymmetric models is presented. This includes the upper limit on the mass of the lightest Higgs boson in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, as well as models based on the standard model gauge groupSU(2) L xU(l) Y with extended Higgs sectors. We then discuss the Higgs sector of left-right supersymmetric models, which conserveR-parity as a consequence of gauge invariance, and present a calculable upper bound on the mass of the lightest Higgs boson in these models. We also discuss the neutralino sector of general supersymmetric models based on the SM gauge group. We show that, as a consequence of gauge coupling unification, an upper bound on the mass of the lightest neutralino as a function of the gluino mass can be obtained.  相似文献

It is examined, if it is possible, to obtain solutions of the SU(2) Yang-Mills field equations in Minkowski space from Euclidean self-dual Yang-Mills fields by method proposed by Bernreuther. It is shown that the conditions, which are imposed on the Euclidean self-dual fields by this method, make every Euclidean self-dual field and the corresponding Minkowski space field obtained from it, equivalent to a pure gauge field, F ab 0.  相似文献

We point out at the peculiarity of Bμνμ decay, namely the enhancement of the soft photon events which originate from the structure dependent part of the Bμνμγ amplitude. This may be a dominant source of systematic uncertainty and compromise the projected experimental uncertainty on Γ(Bμνμ). We show that the effect of these soft photons can be controlled if the experimental cut on identification of soft photons is lowered and especially if the better resolution in identifying the momentum of muon emerging from Bμνμ is made. A lattice QCD computation of the relevant form factors would be highly helpful for a better numerical control over the structure dependent soft photon emission.  相似文献

We study CP asymmetries in rare B decays within supersymmetry with a U(2)3 flavour symmetry, motivated by the SUSY flavour and CP problems, the hierarchies in the Yukawa couplings and the absence so far of any direct evidence for SUSY. Even in the absence of flavour-blind phases, we find potentially sizable CP violating contributions to bs decay amplitudes. The effects in the mixing-induced CP asymmetries in BϕK S and BηK S , angular CP asymmetries in BK μ + μ and the direct CP asymmetry in BX s γ can be in the region to be probed by LHCb and next generation B factories. At the same time, these effects in B decays are compatible with CP violating contributions to meson mixing, including a non-standard B s mixing phase hinted by current tensions in the CKM fit mostly between SyKS, eKS_{\psi K_{S}}, \epsilon_{K} and DMBs/DMBd\Delta M_{B_{s}}/\Delta M_{B_{d}}.  相似文献

A nonperturbative method of analysis of the stability problem of quantum field theory models is proposed. The method consists in the systematic analysis of the functional dependence on boson field B of the effective boson Lagrangian Seff(B) consisting of the fermion term SlF(B), constraint term SlFP(B) and the boson self-interaction term Sl(B). A new heat kernel representation for SlF(B) is derived in which counterterms are calculated in the explicit functional form by means of the analytic renormalization method. Using these results the instabillity of Yukawa4, four-Fermi4, and the massive Gürsey models is demonstrated.  相似文献

We evaluate the evolution operator Z Reg(R 2,R 1) introduced by Diakonov and Petrov for the definition of the Wilson loop in terms of a path integral over gauge degrees of freedom. We use the procedure suggested by Diakonov and Petrov (Physics Letters B 224 (1989) 131) and show that the evolution operator vanishes. We study the Chern-Simons CP(N) models with a global U(1) symmetry and found the self-dual models among them. The Bogomolnyi-type bound in these self-dual models is a nontrivial generalization of that in the pure CP(N) models. Our models have quite a rich vacuum and soliton structure and approach the many known gauged self-dual models in an appropriate limit.  相似文献

The decayB *B has been observed with the DELPHI detector at LEP, where theB * meson is produced inZ boson decays. The combination of inclusively reconstructedB mesons with well-measured converted photons yields a measurement of the flavour-averagedB *-B mass difference of 45.5±0.3 (stat.) ±0.8 (syst.) MeV/c2. 95% confidence level upper limits at 6 MeV/c2 are placed on both the isospin (i.e.B +-B 0) and theB s -B ud splitting of the mass difference. The production ratio ofB * toB mesons inZ decays is measured to be 0.72±0.03 (stat.) ±0.06 (syst.). Limits on the production cross-section of other hypothetical excitedB hadron states decaying radiatively are established. The differentialB * cross section has been measured to be in good agreement with the averageb fragmentation, yielding an average fractionalB * energy of x E =0.695±0.009 (stat.) ±0.013 (syst.). From the decay angular distribution the relative contribution of longitudinalB * polarisation states is measured to be L/(L + T) = 0.32 ± 0.04 (stat.) ±0.03 (syst.).CICYT_AEN93-0832  相似文献

We analyse all the neutral-current phenomena following from the general class of gauge models based on the group SU(2) L ⊗ SU(2) R ⊗ U(1). It is found that the neutral-current couplings in these models bear a remarkable similarity to those in the standard Weinberg-Salam gauge model. The parameter which plays the role of sin2ϑw is found to lie between 0 and 1/2. Comparison with experimental data shows that even a model with the ratio of the masses of the twoZ bosons as small as 1.9 is not ruled out.  相似文献

We have generated thep-cyanobenzyl radical in supersonic free expansion, and measured the vibrationally and rotationally resolved laser induced fluorescence (LIF) excitation spectra and the LIF dispersed spectra from the single vibronic levels (SVL) in the green-blue region. The lowest energy band at 20 738 cm−1with the strongest intensity in the excitation spectrum has been assigned to the 000band of the visible spectrum, on the basis of the vibronic structures in the SVL dispersed spectra. Based on the band type of the 000band,a-type, determined from the rotationally resolved LIF excitation spectrum, we have definitely assigned the visible band to theD122B1–D012B1electronic transition. We have found, on the grounds of the vibrational analysis of the dispersed spectra, that the vibronic structure of the 22B1–12B1electronic transition of the benzyl type is characterized by totally symmetric fundamental modes, 1, 8a, and 9a.  相似文献

A boundary-state computation is performed to obtain derivative corrections to the Chern-Simons coupling between a p-brane and the RR gauge potential C p −3. We work to quadratic order in the gauge field strength F, but all orders in derivatives. In a certain limit, which requires the presence of a constant B-field background, it is found that these corrections neatly sum up into the *2 product of (commutative) gauge fields. The result is in agreement with a recent prediction using noncommutativity.  相似文献

The simplest non-trivial solutions of WDVV equations are An-and Bn-potentials, which describe metrics of Saito on spaces of versal deformation of An-and Bn-singularities. These are some polynomials, which were known for n≤4. In this paper, we find the potentials for all An-and Bn-singularities.
