Phase diagrams and magnetization curves of a diluted spin-3/2 transverse Ising model in a random field on honeycomb lattices are investigated by the use of an effective-field theory with correlations. The tricritical point is found in the system, in contrast to the corresponding spin-1/2 Ising counterpart. The possible reentrant phenomena displayed by the system due to the competition effects that occur for appropriate ranges of the random and transverse fields are investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we have investigated the bimodal random-field spin-2 Ising system in a transverse field by combining the pair approximation with the discretized path-integral representation. The exact equations for the second-order phase transition lines and tricritical points are obtained in terms of the random field H, the transverse field G and the coordination number z. It is found that there are some critical values for H and G where the tricritical points disappear for given z. We have also observed that the system presents reentrant behavior which may be caused by the quantum effects and randomness. The phase diagram with respect to the random field and the second-order phase transition temperature are studied extensively for given values of the transverse field and the coordination number.  相似文献

We study the thermodynamic properties of random transverse field mixed spin system in the presence of single-ion anisotropy on a square lattice. By making use of the effective field theory and a cutting approximation, the detailed phase diagrams are described and some interesting results are found under trimodal random transverse field distribution. A small single-ion anisotropy can magnify magnetic ordering region at low temperatures and existence of a large transverse field can assist the occurrence of reentrant phenomena. With increasing disorder, second-order phase transitions are shown to change into first-order phase transitions. The trajectory of the tricritical point in the phase space as a function of disorder is presented. These indicate a strong correlation with the corresponding to trimodal transverse field distribution.  相似文献

We use an effective field method to analyze the thermodynamic behavior of an Ising metamagnet in uniform and random magnetic fields. Depending on the strength of the random fields, we show that the phase diagram displays a tricritical point and reentrant second-order transition lines. This reentrance is due to the competition between uniform and random interactions.  相似文献

A two-sublattice Ising metamagnet in both uniform and random fields is studied within the mean-field approach based on Bogoliubov’s inequality for the Gibbs free energy. We show that the qualitative features of the phase diagrams are dependent on the parameters of the model and the uniform field values. The tricritical point and reentrant phenomenon can be observed on the phase diagram. The reentrance is due to the competition between uniform and random interactions.  相似文献

The Ising model with quenched random magnetic fields is examined for single Gaussian, bimodal and double Gaussian random field distributions by introducing an effective field approximation that takes into account the correlations between different spins that emerge when expanding the identities. Random field distribution shape dependence of the phase diagrams, magnetization and internal energy is investigated for a honeycomb lattice with a coordination number q=3. The conditions for the occurrence of reentrant behavior and tricritical points on the system are also discussed in detail.  相似文献

The trimodal random-field spin- Ising system in a transverse field is investigated by combining the pair approximation with the discretized path-integral representation by introducing a parameter p to simulate the fractions of the spins not exposed to the external longitudinal magnetic field. The variation of the critical reduced transverse field and longitudinal magnetic field with the parameter p is studied for different coordination numbers and it is found that the system does not exhibit any tricritical points for p>0.22. The phase diagrams with respect to the external longitudinal random-field and the second-order phase transition temperature are obtained for given values of the transverse field, coordination numbers and the parameter p. It is found that for appropriate values of the system parameters the system does present tricritical points and reentrant phase transitions, which may be caused by the competition between the quantum effects and randomness.  相似文献

We study the ferromagnetic properties of spin-1 system, which is considered in the frame of the bonddilution and random positive or negative anisotropy Blume-Capel model in the effective field theory and a cutting approximation. The investigation of phase diagrams displays some rich properties of the trajectory of tricritical point,reentrant phenomena at low temperatures. Under certain both bond concentrations and random negative anisotropy,there are new transition lines of double tricritical points. So special emphasis is placed on the influence of the bond dilution and random anisotropy on phase diagrams. The magnetizations of the system are also discussed. The magnetic properties (phase diagrams and magnetizations) of an antiferromagnetic Ising bilayer film with random fields are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. It is examined how an uncompensated magnetization can be realized in the system, due to the effects of random fields in the two layers. 近年来, 磁性纳米管的物理性质和相关应用得到了人们的广泛关注. 利用有效场理论研究了纳米管上双模随机晶场中Blume-Capel模型的磁化强度和相变性质, 得到了系统的磁化强度与温度和随机晶场的关系及其相图. 结果表明: 系统在稀释晶场、交错晶场和同向晶场中会表现出不同的磁学性质和相变行为; 稀释晶场和交错晶场会抑制系统的磁化强度, 导致其基态饱和值小于1, 而同向晶场则不会; 随着随机晶场参量的变化, 系统存在多个相变温度, 并呈现出三临界现象和重入现象.  相似文献

This paper studies the critical behaviours and magnetic properties of three-dimensional bond and anisotropy dilution Blume--Capel model (BCM) in the presence of an applied field within the effective field theory. The trajectory of tricritical point, reentrant transitions and degenerate patterns of anisotropy are obtained both for the bond and the anisotropy dilutions. The global phase diagrams demonstrate unusually reentrant phenomena. The temperature dependences of magnetization curves undergo remarkable spin glass behaviour at low temperatures, and transform from ferromagnetism to paramagnetism at high temperature in applied fields. Temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility curve is in qualitative agreement with experimental result.  相似文献

We study a fermionic infinited-ranged Ising spin glass with a real space BCS interaction in the presence of an applied transverse field. The problem is formulated in the integral functional formalism where the SU(2) spins are given in terms of bilinear combinations of Grassmann fields. The problem is solved within static approximation and the replica symmetry ansatz combined with previous approaches used to study the critical behavior of the quantum Ising spin glass in a transverse field and the spin glass Heisenberg model with BCS pairing. Our results show that the transverse field has strong effect in the phase boundary of the spin glass phase and the PAIR phase in which there is a long range order corresponding to formations of pairs. The location of the tricritical point in the PAIR phase transition line is also affected.  相似文献

The competition among spin glass (SG), antiferromagnetism (AF) and local pairing superconductivity (PAIR) is studied in a two-sublattice fermionic Ising spin glass model with a local BCS pairing interaction in the presence of an applied magnetic transverse field Γ. In the present approach, spins in different sublattices interact with a Gaussian random coupling with an antiferromagnetic mean J0 and standard deviation J. The problem is formulated in the path integral formalism in which spin operators are represented by bilinear combinations of Grassmann variables. The saddle-point Grand Canonical potential is obtained within the static approximation and the replica symmetric ansatz. The results are analysed in phase diagrams in which the AF and the SG phases can occur for small g (g is the strength of the local superconductor coupling written in units of J), while the PAIR phase appears as unique solution for large g. However, there is a complex line transition separating the PAIR phase from the others. It is second order at high temperature that ends in a tricritical point. The quantum fluctuations affect deeply the transition lines and the tricritical point due to the presence of Γ.  相似文献

Within effective field theory (EFT), the critical properties of a random transverse crystal field Ising model with bond dilution are studied on a square lattice. Under both weak and strong bond dilution conditions, we consider three cases (α = 0,±0.5) of a transverse crystal field ratio, obtaining global phase diagrams in T−D x space for changes in the random transverse crystal field concentration. The phase diagrams obtained for a weak bond dilution are very similar in shape to those of pure bond but with decreases in corresponding ordered phases and critical values. However, the phase diagrams for a strong bond dilution exhibit varieties, including a change in reentrant phenomenon, the occurrence of transverse crystal field degeneration, and the opposite direction crossover of temperature peak value.  相似文献

The critical behaviors of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-sB Ising system with a transverse crystal field are studied by use of the effective-field theory with correlations. The effect of the transverse crystal field on transition temperatures is investigated numerically for the honeycomb (z=3) and square (z=4) lattices.
