This paper is a continuation of our recent paper 8 . We will consider the semi‐linear Cauchy problem for wave models with scale‐invariant time‐dependent mass and dissipation and power non‐linearity. The goal is to study the interplay between the coefficients of the mass and the dissipation term to prove global existence (in time) of small data energy solutions assuming suitable regularity on the L2 scale with additional L1 regularity for the data. In order to deal with this L2 regularity in the non‐linear part, we will develop and employ some tools from Harmonic Analysis.  相似文献

Studying weak solutions of Burgers' equation with finite entropy dissipation we show the sharpness of recent results of Jabin and Perthame on velocity averaging. We study the global existence and regularity of classical solutions to the 2D incompressible magneto‐micropolar equations with partial dissipation. We establish the global regularity for one partial dissipation case. This paper concerns the conditional global regularity of incompressible MHD equations with horizontal dissipation and horizontal magnetic diffusion in two dimension. When only horizontal dissipation and horizontal magnetic diffusion are present, there is no control on the vertical derivatives of velocity field and magnetic field, which is the main difficulty to establish the global regularity. In this paper, we establish a global regularity criterion in terms of one entry of the velocity gradient tensor or one entry of the magnetic field gradient tensor, which extends the recent work (Fan and Ozawa, 2014).  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the global in time existence of classical solutions to the d-Dimensional (dD) micropolar equations with fractional dissipation. Micropolar equations model a class of fluids with nonsymmetric stress tensor such as fluids consisting of particles suspended in a viscous medium. It remains unknown whether or not smooth solutions of the classical 3D micropolar equations can develop finite-time singularities. The purpose here is to explore the global regularity of solutions for dD micropolar equations under the smallest amount of dissipation. We establish the global regularity for two important fractional dissipation cases. Direct energy estimates are not sufficient to obtain the desired global a priori bounds in each case. To overcome the difficulties, we employ the Besov space techniques.  相似文献

We investigate the Cauchy problem for the 3D magneto-hydrodynamics equations with only horizontal dissipation for the small initial data. With the help of the dissipation in the horizontal direction and the structure of the system, we analyze the properties of the decay of the solution and apply these decay properties to get the global regularity of the solution. In the process, we mainly use the frequency decomposition in Green's function method and energy method.  相似文献

This paper is dedicated to establishing the global regularity for the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with fractional anisotropic dissipation when the fractional powers are restricted to some certain ranges. In addition, the global regularity results for the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with partial dissipation are also obtained. Consequently, these results bring us more closer to the resolution of the global regularity problem on the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with standard Laplacian magnetic diffusion.  相似文献

We study the backward Euler method with variable time steps for abstract evolution equations in Hilbert spaces. Exploiting convexity of the underlying potential or the angle‐bounded condition, thereby assuming no further regularity, we derive novel a posteriori estimates of the discretization error in terms of computable quantities related to the amount of energy dissipation or monotonicity residual. These estimators depend solely on the discrete solution and data and impose no constraints between consecutive time steps. We also prove that they converge to zero with an optimal rate with respect to the regularity of the solution. We apply the abstract results to a number of concrete, strongly nonlinear problems of parabolic type with degenerate or singular character. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

We study the magnetic Bénard problem in two‐dimensional space with generalized dissipative and diffusive terms, namely, fractional Laplacians and logarithmic supercriticality. Firstly, we show that when the diffusive term for the magnetic field is a full Laplacian, the solution initiated from data sufficiently smooth preserves its regularity as long as the power of the fractional Laplacians for the dissipative term of the velocity field and the diffusive term of the temperature field adds up to 1. Secondly, we show that with zero dissipation for the velocity field and a full Laplacian for the diffusive term of the temperature field, the global regularity result also holds when the diffusive term for the magnetic field consists of the fractional Laplacian with its power strictly bigger than 1. Finally, we show that with no diffusion from the magnetic and the temperature fields, the global regularity result remains valid as long as the dissipation term for the velocity field has its strength at least at the logarithmically supercritical level. These results represent various extensions of previous work on both Boussinesq and magnetohydrodynamics systems. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We study a 1D transport equation with nonlocal velocity. First, we prove eventual regularization of the viscous regularization when dissipation is in the supercritical range with non-negative initial data. Whether or not classical solutions of the 2D incompressible MHD equations without full dissipation and magnetic diffusion can develop finite-time singularities is a difficult issue. A major result of this paper establishes the global regularity of classical solutions for the MHD equations with mixed partial dissipation and magnetic diffusion. In addition, the global existence, conditional regularity and uniqueness of a weak solution is obtained for the 2D MHD equations with only magnetic diffusion.  相似文献

In this paper,we investigate the solvability,regularity and the vanishing dissipation limit of solutions to the three-dimensional viscous magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)equations in bounded domains.On the boundary,the velocity field fulfills a Navier-slip condition,while the magnetic field satisfies the insulating condition.It is shown that the initial boundary value problem has a global weak solution for a general smooth domain.More importantly,for a flat domain,we establish the uniform local well-posedness of the strong solution with higher-order uniform regularity and the asymptotic convergence with a rate to the solution of the ideal MHD equation as the dissipations tend to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, following the techniques of Foias and Temam, we establish suitable Gevrey class regularity of solutions to the supercritical quasi-geostrophic equations in the whole space, with initial data in “critical” Sobolev spaces. Moreover, the Gevrey class that we obtain is “near optimal” and as a corollary, we obtain temporal decay rates of higher order Sobolev norms of the solutions. Unlike the Navier–Stokes or the subcritical quasi-geostrophic equations, the low dissipation poses a difficulty in establishing Gevrey regularity. A new commutator estimate in Gevrey classes, involving the dyadic Littlewood–Paley operators, is established that allow us to exploit the cancellation properties of the equation and circumvent this difficulty.  相似文献

We study the two-dimensional stochastic Boussinesq system with zero dissipation and multiplicative noise. We show the existence of a martingale solution by a priori estimates using stochastic calculus, and applications of Prokhorov's, Skorokhod's, and martingale representation theorems. Due to the lack of dissipation, the proof requires higher regularity estimates, taking advantage of the structure of the nonlinear term. Moreover, we obtain the existence of the pressure term via an application of de Rham's theorem for processes.  相似文献

This paper studies the global existence and regularity of classical solutions to the 2D incompressible magneto-micropolar equations with partial dissipation. The magneto-micropolar equations model the motion of electrically conducting micropolar fluids in the presence of a magnetic field. When there is only partial dissipation, the global regularity problem can be quite difficult. We are able to single out three special partial dissipation cases and establish the global regularity for each case. As special consequences, the 2D Navier-Stokes equations, the 2D magnetohydrodynamic equations, and the 2D micropolar equations with several types of partial dissipation always possess global classical solutions. The proofs of our main results rely on anisotropic Sobolev type inequalities and suitable combination and cancellation of terms.  相似文献

We present some regularity criteria for the Leray-Hopf weak solutions to the Cauchy problem for 3D Navier-Stokes equations based on energy distribution at wavenumber bands. We show sufficient conditions for regularity based on the ratios of energy dissipation rates at sufficiently high wavenumber bands and neighboring medium wavenumber bands. Moreover, we give a regularity criterion based on relations between energy at high and low wavenumber bands.  相似文献

In this paper, we provide results of local and global null controllability for 2-D thermoelastic systems, in the absence of rotational inertia, and under the influence of the (nonLipschitz) von Kármán nonlinearity. The plate component may be taken to satisfy either the clamped or higher order (and physically relevant) free boundary conditions. In the accompanying analysis, critical use is made of sharp observability estimates which obtain for the linearization of the thermoelastic plate (these being derived in [G. Avalos, I. Lasiecka, The null controllability of thermoelastic plates and singularity of the associated minimal energy function, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 294 (2004) 34-61] and [G. Avalos, I. Lasiecka, Asymptotic rates of blowup for the minimal energy function for the null controllability of thermoelastic plates: The free case, in: Proc. of the Conference for the Control of Partial Differential Equations, Georgetown University, Dekker, in press]). Moreover, another key ingredient in our work to steer the given nonlinear dynamics is the recent result in [A. Favini, M.A. Horn, I. Lasiecka, D. Tataru, Addendum to the paper: Global existence, uniqueness and regularity of solution to a von Kármán system with nonlinear boundary dissipation, Differential Integral Equations 10 (1997) 197-200] concerning the sharp regularity of the von Kármán nonlinearity.  相似文献
