A novel hexadentate nitrogen donor [N6] macrocyclic ligand viz, 1,5,11,15,21,22-hexaaza-2,14-dimethyl-l4,12-diphenyltricyclo[15.3.1.I(7–11)]docosane[1,4,6,8,10(22)-11,14,16,18,20(21)]decaene (L), has been synthesised. The Co (II), Ni (II), and Cu (II) complexes with this ligand have been prepared and subjected to elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR (ligand), IR, electronic, and ESR spectral studies and electrochemical investigation. On the basis of molar conductance the complexes can be formulated as [M(L)]X2 (where M = Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II) and X = Cl and NO3) due to their 1: 2 electrolytic nature in DMSO. All the complexes are of the high-spin type and are six-coordinated. On the basis of IR, electronic, and ESR spectral studies, an octahedral geometry has been assigned for the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, whereas a tetragonal geometry for the Cu(II) complexes was found. Antimicrobial activity of L and its complexes as growth inhibiting agents have been screened in vitro against two species (F. moniliformae and R. solani) of plant pathogenic fungi. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

The reactions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) chlorides and bromides and their metallic powders with tetrazol-1-yl-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane (L) afforded new complexes ML2Hal2 · mH2O(M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Cl; M = Cu(II), Hal = Cl or Br, m = 0; and M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Br, m = 2), MLnCl2 (M = Co(II) or Ni(II), n = 2 or 4; M = Cu(II), n = 2), and MLnBr2 · mH2O (M = Ni(II), n = 2, m = 2; M = Cu(II), n = 2, m = 0). The compositions and structures of the synthesized complexes were determined by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy (50–4000 cm−1), and X-ray diffraction analysis. The introduction of a bulky substituent into position 1 of the tetrazole cycle was shown to exert almost no effect on the coordination mode but affected the composition and structure of the complexes.  相似文献

A new vic-dioxime, N-{4-[[(2-hydroxyphenyl)methylene]hydrazinecarbonyl]phenyl}aminoglyoxime (H3L), was prepared by the reaction of anti-chloroglyoxime with salicylaldehyde 4-aminobenzoylhydrazone. The reaction of H3L with Cu(II) salts and an appropriate simple ligand gave only homotrinuclear complexes [Cu3(HL)2X2], whereas the reaction of H3L with Ni(II) salts gave mono-and homotrinuclear complexes [Ni(H2L)2 and Ni3(HL)2X2]. Also, heterotrinuclear complexes of H3L were prepared by the reaction of Ni(H2L)2 with Cu(II) salt and an appropriate simple ligand, [NiCu2(HL)2X2], X = Cl, NO 3 , SCN, CN, and N 3 . The new vic-dioxime and its complexes were identified by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, UV-VIS, magnetic susceptibility, and mass spectral data. The elemental analyses and spectral data indicated that the hydrazone side of H3L acted as monobasic tridentate and the fourth position was occupied by simple ligands, such as Cl, NO 3 , SCN, CN, and N 3 . Solution equilibrium studies on Cu2+–L1–L2 ternary systems have been performed by pH-potentiometry, UV–Vis spectrophotometry and EPR methods (L1 corresponds to polyamines such as ethylenediamine (en), diethylenetriamine (dien), or N,N,N′,N′,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (Me5dien) and L2 represents 1-aminoethylphosphonic acid (α-alaninephosphonic acid)). The obtained results suggest the formation of heteroligand complexes with [Cu(L1)(α-Ala(P))] stoichiometry in all studied systems. Additionally, in the system with en the [Cu(en)(α-Ala(P))H−1] species is formed in basic solution. Our spectroscopic results indicate tetragonal geometry for the [Cu(en)(α-Ala(P))] species, geometry slightly deviated from square pyramidal for the [Cu(dien)(α-Ala(P))] complex and strongly deviated from square pyramidal towards trigonal bipyramidal for the [Cu(Me5dien)(α-Ala(P))] species. The coordination modes in these heteroligand complexes are discussed.  相似文献

Solution equilibrium studies on the Cu(II)-polyamine-(aminomethyl)phosphonic acid (glycinephosphonic acid) ternary systems (polyamine: ethylenediamine (en), diethylenetriamine (dien), N,N,N′,N′,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (Me5dien)) have been performed by pH-potentiometry, UV–vis spectrophotometry and EPR methods. The obtained results suggest the formation of the heteroligand complexes with [Cu(A)(Gly(P))] stoichiometry in all studied systems. Additionally, in the systems with dien the protonated [Cu(dien)(H–Gly(P))]+ species also exists in acid solution and in the system with en the [Cu(en)(Gly(P))H-1] species is formed in the basic solution. Our spectroscopic results indicate the tetragonal geometry for the [Cu(en)(Gly(P))] species, the geometry slightly deviated from square pyramidal for the [Cu(dien)(Gly(P))] complex and strongly deviated from square pyramidal towards trigonal bipyramidal for the [Cu(Me5dien)(Gly(P))] species. The coordination modes in these heteroligand complexes are discussed.  相似文献

Binary and ternary complexes of copper(II) involving N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylene-diamine (Me4en) and various biologically relevant ligands containing different functional groups are investigated. The ligands (L) used are dicarboxylic acids, amino acids, peptides and DNA unit constituents. The ternary complexes of amino acids, dicarboxylic acids or peptides are formed by simultaneous reactions. The results showed the formation of Cu(Me4en)(L) complexes with amino acids and dicarboxylic acids. The effect of chelate ring size of the dicarboxylic acid complexes on their stability constants was examined. Peptides form both Cu(Me4en)(L) complexes and the corresponding deprotonated amide species Cu(Me4en)(LH−1). The ternary complexes of copper(II) with (Me4en) and DNA are formed in a stepwise process, whereby binding of copper(II) to (Me4en) is followed by ligation of the DNA components. DNA constituents form both 1:1 and 1:2 complexes with Cu(Me4en)2+. The concentration distribution of the complexes in solution was evaluated. [Cu(Me4en)(CBDCA)] and [Cu(Me4en)(malonate)] are isolated and characterized by elemental analysis and infrared measurements.  相似文献

New mixed-ligand copper(I) complexes, [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)X], [Phca2en = N,N′-bis(β-phenylci-nnamaldehyde)-1,2-diiminoethane and X=Cl (1), Br (2), I (3), NCS (4), N3 (5)] have been synthesized and characterized by various techniques. 1H and 13C-NMR and IR spectral data of these copper(I) complexes are compared with the free ligand to elucidate some structural features. The structures of [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)Br] (2) and [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)I] (3) have been determined from single-crystal data showing that the coordination geometry around copper atom is a distorted tetrahedron. Furthermore, these Cu(I) complexes exhibit supramolecular motifs of the type multiple phenyl embraces resulting from attractive interactions between phenyl rings of PPh3 moieties. The presence of the C–H…Cu weak intramolecular hydrogen bonds, due to the trapping of C–H bonds in the vicinity of the metal atoms, is also reported.  相似文献

The mononuclear Cu(II) complex [Cu(phen)(H2O)(NO3)2] (1), obtained by the reaction of 1,10-phenanthroline with Cu(NO3)2·3H2O in methanol solution, reacts with anionic ligands SCN, AcO, N3 and PhCO2 in MeOH solution to form the stable binuclear complexes [Cu2(H2O)2(phen)2(μ-X)2]2 (NO3)2, where X = SCN (2), AcO (3), N3 (4) or PhCO2 (5). The molecular structure of complex 3 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. These complexes were characterized by electronic, IR, ESR, magnetic moments and conductivity measurements. The electrochemical behaviour of the complexes was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The interactions of these complexes with calf thymus DNA have been investigated using absorption spectrophotometry. Their DNA cleavage activity was studied on double-stranded pBR322 plasmid DNA using gel electrophoresis experiments in the absence and presence of H2O2 as oxidant.  相似文献

New bis-benzimidazole based diamide ligands N, N′-bis(2-methyl benzimidazolyl)-benzene-1,3-dicarboxamide [GBBA] and N-Octyl-N, N′-bis(2-methyl benzimidazolyl)-benzene- 1,3-dicarboxamide [O-GBBA] have been synthesized and utilized to prepare Cu(II) complexes of general composition [Cu(GBBA)X 2] · nH2O and [Cu(O-GBBA)X2] · n H2O, where X is an exogenous anionic ligand (X = Cl, NO3, SCN). The oxidation of electron deficient olefins has been investigated using [Cu(O-GBBA)X2] · nH2O as catalyst and TBHP as an alternate source of oxygen. The respective ketonic products have been isolated and characterized by 1H-NMR. The complex [Cu(GBBA)(NO3)2] · 4H2O has been characterized structurally. It crystallizes in a monoclinic space group C2/c. Low temperature EPR spectra have been obtained for the complexes that shows gII > gI > 2.0024, indicating a tetragonal geometry in the solution state. The complexes display a quasi reversible redox wave due to the Cu(II)/Cu(I) reduction process. The E1/2 values shift anodically as NO3 < SCN < Cl.  相似文献

A novel ligand (H2L), diethylenetriamine-N,N′,N′′-triacetylisoniazide N,N′′-bisacetic acid, and its four non-ion transition metal complexes, ML · nH2O (M = Mn, n = 4; M = Co, Ni, n = 2; M = Cu, n = 1), have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, molar conductivity, 1H-NMR, FAB-MS, TG-DTA analysis and IR spectrum. In addition, relaxivity (R1) of the complexes was determined, the relaxivity of MnL, CoL, NiL, CuL as well as Gd(DTPA)2− used as a control are 6.94, 2.79, 2.52, 1.59 and 4.34 l mmol−1 s−1, respectively. The relaxivity of MnL is larger than that of Gd(DTPA)2−. The results show that the complex of MnL may be a potential MRI contrast agent.  相似文献

Abstract  Two novel organic–inorganic composite phosphotungstates, [H9{Ce(α-PW11O39)2}Cu(en)2] · 6H2O (1) and H7[Cu(en)2{Er(α-PW11O39)2}Cu(en)2] · 12H2O (2) (en = ethylenediamine) have been synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of the trivacant Keggin polyoxoanion [α-A-PW9O34]9− with CeIII or ErIII ions in the presence of Cu2+ ions and en, and structurally characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. X-ray crystallographic analyses indicate that they are all built by sandwich-type [Ln(α-PW11O39)2]11− (Ln = CeIII, ErIII) polyoxoanions and [Cu(en)2]2+ cations generating infinite one-dimensional arrangements. To our knowledge, this 1-D chain structures constituted by mono-Ln sandwiched POM units and transition-metal complex cations are very rare. pH potentiometric and spectrophotometric investigations on the complex formation equilibria of CuII with iminodiacetate (ida2−) and heterocyclic N-bases, viz. imidazole and benzimidazole (B), in aqueous solution in binary and ternary systems using different molar ratios of the reactants indicated the formation of complexes of the types, Cu(ida), Cu(ida)(OH), (ida)Cu(OH)Cu(ida), Cu(B)2+, Cu(H-1B)+, Cu(ida)(H−1B), (ida)Cu(B)Cu(ida) and (ida)Cu(H−1B)Cu(ida). Formation constants of the complexes at 25 ±1° at a fixed ionic strength,I = 0.1 mol dm−3 (NaNO3) in aqueous solution were evaluated and the complex formation equilibria were elucidated with the aid of speciation curves. Departure of the experimental values of the reproportionation constants(ΔlogK cu) of ternary Cu(ida)(H−1B) complexes from the statistically expected values, despite their formation in appreciable amounts at equilibrium, were assigned tofac(f)-mer(m) equilibria of the ida2− ligand coordinated to CuII, as the N-heterocyclic donors, (H−1B), coordinatetrans- to the N-(ida2−) atom in the binary Cu(ida) f complex to form the ternary Cu(ida) m (H−1B) complexes  相似文献

The syntheses and characterizations of salicylatocopper(II) complexes of the formula Cu(X-sal)2(2-pyme)2 (X = 3-MeO (1), 4-MeO (2), 3-Me (3), 4-Me (4) and 5-Me (5), where 3-MeOsal = 3-methoxysalicylate, 4-MeOsal = 4-methoxysalicylate, 3-Mesal = 3-methylsalicylate, 4-Mesal = 4-methylsalicylate, 5-Mesal = 5-methylsalicylate anion, and 2-pyme = 2-pyridylmethanol) are reported. The composition was determined by elemental analysis, and ligand coordination modes have been determined by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV-VIS). The crystal structure determination of [Cu(3-MeOsal)2(2-pyme)2] (1) and [Cu(5-Mesal)2(2-pyme)2] (5) have confirmed conclusions originally based on spectral data. EPR measurements of frozen water/methanol solutions containing different copper(II): 2-pyme molar ratios have indicated presence of complexes with only two nitrogen donor atoms bonded to each central atom.   相似文献

A series of complexes of fullerenes C60 and C70 with metal dithiocarbamates {MII(R2dtc)2}·Cm (m = 60 or 70) and metal dithiocarbamates coordinated to nitrogen-containing ligands (L), {MII(R2dtc)2)x·L}·C60 (x = 1 or 2), where M = Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg, Mn, or Fe, R = Me, Et, Prn, Pri, or Bun, L is 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO), N,N′-dimethylpiperazine, or hexamethylenetetramine, were synthesized. The shape of dithiocarbamate molecules is sterically compatible with the spherical shape of C60, resulting in an efficient interaction between their π systems. The resulting compounds are characterized by a layered or three-dimensional packing of the fullerene molecules. In the C60 complexes, iron(II) and manganese(II) dithiocarbamates exist in the high-spin states (S = 2 and 5/2). The magnetic susceptibility of {MII(Et2dtc)2}2·Cm (M = Fe or Mn, m = 60 or 70) in the temperature range of 200–300 K is described by the Curie-Weiss law with Θ = −250 and −96 K and with maxima at 110 and 46 K, respectively, which is indicative of a strong antiferromagnetic spin coupling between MII. The Weiss constants for the [{MII(Et2dtc)2}2·DABCO]·C60·(DABCO)2 complexes (M = Fe or Mn) are 1.7 and 0.3 K, respectively. The magnetic moments of the complexes containing Fe and Mn dithiocarbamates slightly increase at temperatures below 50 and 35 K, respectively, which is evidence of the ferromagnetic spin coupling between MII in {MII(Et2dtc)2}2·DABCO. Single crystals of the complexes exhibit low dark conductivity (10−10–10−11 S cm−1). The visible light irradiation of these crystals leads to an increase in the photocurrent by two–three orders of magnitude. The photogeneration of free charge carriers in the complexes occurs both due to the photoexcitation of metal dithiocarbamate (CuII(Et2dtc)2) and through the charge transfer from metal dithiocarbamate (MII(Et2dtc)2, M = Zn or Cd) to C60. A novel macrocyclic tetradentate ligand 1,5,8,12-tetraaza-2,4,9,11-tetraphenyl-6,7:13,14-dibenzocyclohexadeca- 1,4,8,11-tetraene (L) has been synthesized. Cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes of this ligand have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibitity measurements, and mass, IR, electronic, and ESR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements correspond to a nonelectrolytic nature for all the complexes, which can be formulated as [M(L)X2] (where M = Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II); X = Cl and NO3). On the basis of IR, electronic, and ESR spectral studies, an octahedral geometry has been assigned to the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, whereas a tetragonal geometry was found for the Cu(II) complexes. The investigated compounds and uncomplexed metal salts and the ligands were tested against bacterial species like Sarcina lutea, Escherchia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. The metal complexes have higher activity than the free ligand and metal salts. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Three macrocyclic ligands and their complexes with copper(II) salts (with anions Cl, NO 3 , and NCS) were prepared and investigated using a combination of microanalytical analysis, melting point, molar conductance measurement, magnetic susceptibility measurement, and electronic, IR and ESR spectral studies. Ligands L1, L2, and L3 having N4, N4O2, and N4S2 core, respectively, and all the donor atoms of these ligands are bonded with Cu, which is confirmed by a seven-line pattern observed at half-field in the frozen (H2O: MeOH = 10: 1 at pH 10) solution ESR spectrum. The polycrystalline ESR data (g = 2.20–2.27, g = 2.01–2.05, and A = 120–270) of all the complexes together with the high asymmetry geometry suggest that all complexes appear to be near the static distortion (CuN4O2 and CuN4S2 chromophore geometry). The electronic spectra of the complexes involve two bands at the same intensity corresponding to a cis-distorted octahedral geometry. A common structural feature of both ligand L2 and ligand L3 is that two different donor atoms at five-membered heterocyclic aromatic ring due to this N4O2 and N4S2 chromophore form stable six-membered chelate rings with metals via these two, Cu-O and Cu-S, new interactions comparatively to the first macrocyclic ligand, which has four-membered N,N′-chelate rings. The cyclic voltammetric studies point to a two-step electron transfer indicating the reduction of the two copper atoms to copper(I), i.e., Cu(III)Cu(II) ⇄ Cu(II)Cu(I) ⇄ Cu(I)Cu(0). The molar conductance for the complexes corresponds to 1: 2 and is nonelectrolyte in nature. The magnetic moment (μeff) of the complexes lie in the range between 1.80–1.96 μB. Finally, these complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity against Aspergillus-niger of fungal strains. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Two new heterotrinuclear FeIII-MII-FeIII oxalate-bridged complexes have been prepared, and characterized, namely MII[(ox)FeIII(Salen)]2, [Salen = N,N′-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminate), ox = oxalate, M = Cu (1) and VO (2)]. Based on elemental analysis, conductivity measurements and i.r. spectra, the complexes are proposed to have an oxalate-bridged structure. The magnetic susceptibilities of the complexes were measured over the 4.2–300 K range, giving the exchange integrals J AB = −4.23 cm−1, J AA = −2.47 cm−1 for (1) and J AB = −5.42 cm−1, J AA = −1.55 cm−1 for (2). These results revealed the operation of an antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction between the metal ions. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A number of mixed ligand chromium(III)–surfactant coordination complexes, of the type cis-[Cr(en)2(A)X]2+ and cis-α-[Cr(trien)(A)X]2+ (A = Dodecyl or Cetylamine; X = F, Cl, Br) were synthesized from the corresponding dihalogeno complexes by ligand substitution. These compounds form foam in aqueous solution when shaken. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) values of these surfactant metal complexes in aqueous solution were obtained from conductance measurements. Specific conductivity data (at 303, 308 and 313 K) served for evaluation of the temperature-dependent critical micelle concentration (cmc) and the thermodynamics of micellization (Δ Gm0, Δ Hm0 and Δ Sm0).  相似文献

Heterobimetallic alkoxides of Cu(II) of the types [Cu{η4-Ti2(OEt)9}Cl] (1) and [Cu{η3-Ti2(OR)9}2] [R = Pri (2), R = Et(3)] have been prepared for the first time by the reactions of CuCl2 · xROH with KTi2(OR)9 in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, respectively, in benzene medium. The chloro(nonaalkoxo dititanato)copper(II) complexes undergo chloride replacement reactions by a variety of monodentate alkoxo (OPri, OEt) and chelating [Al(OPri) 4 , Al(OEt) 4 , Nb(OPri) 6 , Zr2(OPri) 9 , Sn2(OPri) 9 , and Sn2(OEt) 9 ] ligands to form interesting hetero(bi-and tri-)metallic complexes. Alcoholysis (with methyl alcohol and tert-butyl alcohol) and hydrolytic [with Ba(OH)2 · 8H2O powder] reactions of a few typical compounds have also been investigated. All of these have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations, spectral (i.r. and visible) and magnetic studies. On attempted volatilization under reduced pressure these complexes liberated titanium alkoxides as a volatile component leaving nonvolatile residues.  相似文献

Mercury(II) complexes of pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDTC) having the general formula [Hg(PDTC)X] (X = Cl?, SCN?, and CN?) and [Hg(PDTC)2] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR. The crystal structure of [Hg(PDTC)2] has also been determined by X-ray crystallography, showing that the complex is a centrosymmetric dimer, [Hg2(PDTC)4] (bis[µ2-(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato-S,S′)(pyrrolidinedithiocarbamato-S,S′)mercury(II)]) (1). The solid-state structure of 1 contains two crystallographically equivalent Hg(II) centers in a distorted tetrahedron.  相似文献
