ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to study the existence of maximal elements with applications to Nash equilibrium problems for generalized games in Hadamard manifolds. By employing a KKM lemma, we establish a new maximal element theorem in Hadamard manifolds. As applications, some existence results of Nash equilibria for generalized games are derived. The results in this paper unify, improve and extend some known results from the literature.  相似文献

In this paper, a generalized Browder-type fixed point theorem on Hadamard manifolds is introduced, which can be regarded as a generalization of the Browder-type fixed point theorem for the set-valued mapping on an Euclidean space to a Hadamard manifold. As applications, a maximal element theorem, a section theorem, a Ky Fan-type Minimax Inequality and an existence theorem of Nash equilibrium for non-cooperative games on Hadamard manifolds are established.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that most of problems in maximal element theorem (in the sense of Baire category) are essential and that, for any problem in maximal element theorem, there exists at least one essential component of its solution set. As applications, we deduce the existence of essential components of the set of Ky Fan’s points based on Ky Fan Minimax Inequality, the existence of essential components of the set of Nash equilibrium points for general n-person non-cooperative games and the existence of essential components of the set of solutions of vector Ky Fan Minimax Inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, the stability of the set of solutions for symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems is discussed. Then, we prove a generic stability theorem and give an existence theorem for essentially connected components of the set of solutions for symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems. Finally, we apply these results to vector weak saddle point problems with constraints. In this paper, we introduce and study a class of generalized nonlinear vector variational-like inequality problems, which includes generalized nonlinear vector variational inequality problems, generalized vector variational inequality problems and generalized vector variational-like inequality problems and so on. We investigate existence and uniqueness of solutions of the Cauchy problem for the porous medium equation on a class of Cartan–Hadamard manifolds. We suppose that the radial Ricci curvature, which is everywhere nonpositive as well as sectional curvatures, can diverge negatively at infinity with an at most quadratic rate: in this sense it is referred to as critical. The main novelty with respect to previous results is that, under such hypotheses, we are able to deal with unbounded initial data and solutions. Moreover, by requiring a matching bound from above on sectional curvatures, we can also prove a blow-up theorem in a suitable weighted space, for initial data that grow sufficiently fast at infinity.  相似文献

We make the first study of how the existence of (essential) positive supersolutions of nonlinear degenerate partial differential equations on a manifold affects the topology, geometry, and analysis of the manifold. For example, for surfaces in R3 we prove a Bernstein-type theorem that generalizes and unifies three distinct theorems. In higher dimensions, we provide topological obstructions for a minimal hypersurface in Rn+1 to admit an essential positive supersolution. This immediately yields information about the Gauss map of complete minimal hypersurfaces in Rn+1. By coping with a wider class of nonlinear partial differential equations that are involved with (p)-harmonic maps and (p)-superstrongly unstable manifolds, we derive information on the regularity of minimizers, homotopy groups, and solutions to Dirichlet problems, from the existence of essential positive supersolutions.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of hemivariational inequality problems are introduced and studied on Hadamard manifolds. Using the properties of Clarke’s generalized directional derivative and Fan-KKM lemma, an existence theorem of solution in connection with the hemivariational inequality problem is obtained when the constraint set is bounded. By employing some coercivity conditions and the properties of Clarke’s generalized directional derivative, an existence result and the boundedness of the set of solutions for the underlying problem are investigated when the constraint set is unbounded. Moreover, a sufficient and necessary condition for ensuring the nonemptiness of the set of solutions concerned with the hemivariational inequality problem is also given.  相似文献

We present a study of what may be called an intrinsic metric for a general regular Dirichlet form. For such forms we then prove a Rademacher type theorem. For strongly local forms we show existence of a maximal intrinsic metric (under a weak continuity condition) and for Dirichlet forms with an absolutely continuous jump kernel we characterize intrinsic metrics by bounds on certain integrals. We then turn to applications on spectral theory and provide for (measure perturbation of) general regular Dirichlet forms an Allegretto–Piepenbrink type theorem, which is based on a ground state transform, and a Shnol' type theorem. Our setting includes Laplacian on manifolds, on graphs and α-stable processes.  相似文献

Summary. In this paper we give a proof of the existence of smooth nonlocal center manifolds for systems close to a system with a homoclinic orbit to a saddle-type equilibrium point. Our proof is based on a consideration of some class of the boundary value problems (see Section 3). In this paper, we study the Ekeland type variational principle, a Caristi-Kirk type fixed point theorem and a maximal element theorem in the setting of uniform spaces. By using these results, we establish some existence results for solutions of quasi-variational inclusion problems, quasi-optimization problems and equilibrium problems defined on separated and sequentially complete uniformly spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we study various types of variational relation problems. We establish the existence of solutions for these types of problems and point out some important particular cases and their applications. We also show that some existence theorems of solution for these types of problems and some existence theorems of variational inclusion problems are equivalent to a generalized KKM theorem. In this paper, an estimate of convergence rate concerned with an inexact proximal point algorithm for the singularity of maximal monotone vector fields on Hadamard manifolds is discussed. We introduce a weaker growth condition, which is an extension of that of Luque from Euclidean spaces to Hadamard manifolds. Under the growth condition, we prove that the inexact proximal point algorithm has linear/superlinear convergence rate. The main results presented in this paper generalize and improve some corresponding known results.  相似文献
