The half-lives of the platinum isotopes 189,191,197Pt and of the 4-day isomer in 195mPt have been measured with high precision using the photoactivation technique. The γ-ray activity was counted over several half-lives with a high-purity germanium detector. The measured half-lives are: T1/2(189Pt) = 12.1 ± 1.5 h; T1/2(191Pt) = 2.862 ± 0.007 d; T1/2(197Pt) = 19.96 ± 0.05 h; T1/2(195mPt) = 4.0104 ± 0.0047 d. Received: 13 September 1999  相似文献

By analysis of fission product γ-ray data measured at Eurogam II using a 248Cm source, yrast levels up to about 2 MeV in the N=84 three-particle nucleus 135Sb have been identified. These levels are interpreted as π g7/2ν f7/2 2 and π g7/2ν f7/2h9/2 states with the help of shell model calculations using empirical nucleon-nucleon interactions. Received: 30 July 1998  相似文献

The high-spin level structure of the 153Er nucleus has been reinvestigated by in-beam γ-ray and electron spectroscopy with (14N,pxn) reaction. Excitation energies, spin and parity assignments are unambiguously established for the two lowest isomers T 1/2≃ 380 ns and T1/2\simeq 10 ns. The characteristics of the third one (T 1/2≃ 250 ns) at 5.2 MeV are still questionable but its main decay modes are better known. An extension of the level scheme is proposed up to 8.4 MeV.Experimental results have been discussed in terms of shell model multiplets and compared with the other structures observed in N=85 neighbouring nuclei. The decay of 111Ru obtained from fast on-line chemical and mass separation has been investigated by β-γ-t and γ-γ coincidence techniques. Earlier spin and parity assignments of 111Rh levels based on extrapolations of level systematics are confirmed. In particular, the K=1/2 intruder band is supported by the hindrance of E2 transitions between deformed and spherical states and enhancement of intraband E2 transitions. The excitation energies of intruder band members in Rh isotopes show a minimum at 109Rh64, with two neutrons less than 111Rh at the N=66 midshell. This trend, which differs from the one in the higher-Z neighbouring elements Ag and Cd with minima at N=66, follows the evolution of deformation observed in the lower-Z elements Ru and Mo. New neutron-deficient isotopes 188,189Po have been produced in the complete fusion reaction of 52Cr ions with a 142Nd target at the velocity filter SHIP. The evaporation residues were separated in-flight and subsequently identified on the basis of α-γ and α-conversion electron coincidence measurements and of α-α position and time correlations. In 189Po a ground state to ground state α decay with Eα1= 7540(20) keV, T1/2= 5(1) ms and two fine structure α-decays at Eα2= 7264(15) keV and Eα3= 7316(15) keV have been observed. In 188Po (T1/2= 400+200 −150μs) a ground state to ground state α decay at Eα= 7915(25) keV and a fine structure α decay at Eα= 7350(40) keV have been found. Improved data on the α-decay of 189Bi were obtained. Received: 15 October 1999  相似文献

High-spin states in the odd-odd 168Lu nucleus, populated in the 154Sm(19F,5n) reaction at a beam energy of 96 MeV, were investigated using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques. The BC neutron crossing in the yrast band, based on πg 7/2[404]7/2+⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configuration, occurs at ħω= 0.31 MeV. The two side bands, based on πh 11/2[514]9/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ and πh 9/2[541]1/2⊗νi 13/2[642]5/2+ configurations, show anomalous signature-splitting and signature-inversion in the first one, to occur at ħω= 0.24 MeV. A moderately delayed BC-crossing is anticipated in the second one. Received: 15 June 1998 / Revised version: 11 January 1999  相似文献

An in-beam experiment with the reaction 122Sn(27Al,4np) at 127 MeV was performed at the Nordball multi-detector array in Roskilde. It provided evidence for a new high-spin isomer in 144Sm. This isomer with T 1/2= (2.6 ± 0.5) ns at an excitation energy E x= 9232 keV seems to belong to a family of isomers of similar configuration in neighbouring N= 82 nuclei. High-spin states in 117I have been studied via the 103Rh(18O, 4n) reaction at a beam energy of 85 MeV. Many deformed rotational bands built on the proton h11/2, g7/2, and g9/2 orbitals have been identified. Among them, an unfavoured rotational band and a quasi-gamma band based on the h11/2 state have been newly observed. Moreover, positive-parity states above Iπ= 35/2+ reported in the previous work have been rearranged. Several energetically favoured states have been assigned to noncollective oblate states based on various quasiparticle configurations with β2≈ 0.18–0.19 and γ= 60°. Received: 1 March 1999  相似文献

The hyperfine structure of the D2 optical line in 22Na and 23Na has been investigated using high resolution laser spectroscopy of a well-collimated atomic beam. The hyperfine splitting constants A and B for the excited 3p 2P3/2 level for both investigated sodium isotopes have been obtained. They are as follows: A(22) = 7.31(4) MHz, B(22) = 4.71(28) MHz, A(23) = 18.572(24) MHz, B(23) = 2.723(55) MHz. With this data, using the high precision MCHF calculations for the electric field gradient at the nucleus, the electric quadrupole moment of 22Na has been deduced: Qs(22) =+0.185(11) b. The sign of Qs(22), determined for the first time, indicates a prolate nuclear deformation. A precise value of the isotope shift 22,23Na in the D2 line has also been obtained. Effective charges are calculated for protons and neutrons in the region of mass 90. It is found that their magnitudes differ appreciably depending on whether the proton p 1/2 shell is empty or full. The calculated values are compared with values deduced from nuclei with simple configurations, and from a fit to N=50 data. The empirical values are used in shell-model calculations of quadrupole moments of N=50-58 nuclei. Received: 16 February 1998  相似文献

High-spin states of 155Gd were populated by using the 154Sm(α,3nγ)155Gd reaction at E α= 33 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. we have identified three intermediate bands with ΔI= 2 feeding the positive yrast band. The bands are interpreted as such candidate bands that are mixed with the negative-parity ground state band. This observation can provide a plausible explanation for unusually large population of the positive-parity yrast band observed in a recent Coulomb excitation. Received: 2 November 1999  相似文献

The nuclear electric quadrupole moments of the isotopes 26Na, 27Na, 28Na and 29Na were measured by -NMR spectroscopy in single crystals of LiNbO3 and NaNO3. High degrees of nuclear polarization were produced by optical pumping of the sodium atoms in a fast beam with a collinear laser beam. The polarized nuclei were implanted into the crystals and NMR signals were observed in the -decay asymmetries. Preparatory measurements also yielded improved values for the magnetic moments of 27-31Na and confirmed the spin I=3/2 for 31Na. The results are discussed in comparison with large-basis shell model calculations. Received: 1 February 2000 / Accepted: 3 April 2000  相似文献

The in-beam spectroscopy on N = 91 isotones has been carried out using the 12C + 150Nd reaction. The νi 13/2 and νh 11/2 bands of 153Sm have been extended up to 33/2+ and 31/2-, respectively. Two new γ-rays have been located on the top of the unfavored band with νi 13/2 configuration in 157Dy. Two identical relationships have been established in the low-spin region of the yrast νi 13/2 configuration between 153Sm and 155Gd, and between unfavored bands of 155Gd and 157Dy. Here all these nuclei have the same neutron number N = 91. Received: 28 June 2000 / Accepted: 20 October 2000  相似文献

8Begs coincidences with 12C, 8Begs and α-particles produced in the 12C +12C interaction at 65 MeV have been measured in a wide in-plane angular range. The 3 −8Begs final state is found to be produced, even if poor statistics prevent any identification of the 16O states involved in the first stage of the process. The 8Begs−α and 8Begs12C coincidence yields are found to be due to 12C and 16O excited states, decaying into the 8Begs+α and 12C +α systems, respectively. The α-decay energy and halflife of 195mAt were determined to be 6960±20 keV and 385+69 −51 ms respectively, on the basis of genetic correlations in the 169Tm(36Ar, α6n)195At reaction, while those of 195gAt measured simultaneously were 7105±30 keV and 146+21 −17 ms respectively, reconfirming the previously reported values. A new isotope 199Fr was also produced and identified in the same way in the 169Tm(36Ar, 6n)199Fr reaction, yielding Eα= 7655±40 keV and T1/2= 12+10 −4 ms. Received: 26 March 1999  相似文献

Excited states in the neutron-rich, N=84 nuclei 134Sn, 136Te and 138Xe, populated in the spontaneous fission of 248Cm, were studied to medium spins using the EUROGAM2 array. OXBASH code calculations support the experimental identification of maximum aligned configurations in these isotopes. Empirical shell model calculations agree with the proposed excitation energy of the neutron h9/2 excitation in the 132Sn region. A discrepancy between the observed and calculated excitation energy of the Iπ= 12+ level in 136Te indicates possible admixtures of collective excitations in this nucleus. Clear signs of collective excitations are observed in 138Xe. Received: 10 November 1999 / Revised version: 22 December 1999  相似文献

A chemically selective laser ion source has been used in a β-decay study of heavy Ag isotopes into even-even Cd nuclides. Gamma-spectroscopic techniques in time-resolving event-by-event and multiscaling modes have permitted the identification of the first 2+ and 4+ levels in 126Cd78, 128Cd80, and tentatively the 2+ state in 130Cd82. From a comparison of these new states in 48Cd with the E(2+) and E(4+)/E(2+) level systematics of 46Pd and 52Te isotopes and several recent model predictions, possible evidence for a weakening of the spherical N = 82 neutron-shell below double-magic 132Sn is obtained. We report on a study of exotic nuclei around doubly magic 132Sn in terms of the shell model employing a realistic effective interaction derived from the CD-Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential. The short-range repulsion of the bare potential is renormalized by constructing a smooth low-momentum potential, Vlow-k, that is used directly as input for the calculation of the effective interaction. In this paper we focus attention on the nuclei 134Sn and 135Sb which, with an N/Z ratio of 1.68 and 1.65, respectively, are at present the most exotic nuclei beyond 132Sn for which information exists on excited states. Comparison shows that the calculated results for both nuclei are in very good agreement with the experimental data. We present our predictions of the hitherto unknown spectrum of 136Sn.  相似文献

A recoil distance method was used to measure half-lives of the excited states of 145Sm. The reaction used was 139La(10B, 4n)145Sm. A plunger system was used. Half-lives were determined for two excited states for the first time. The yrast 27/2+ state was found to have a half-life of 1.1 ± 0.2 ns corresponding to the retardation of 3.1 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle estimate of M1. The excitation energy of this state was well reproduced by the shell model calculation having a mixed configuration of [π{h11/2(g7/2)−2 (d5/2)−1}10−, νf7/2] + [π{h11/2(g7/2)−1}9−,νh9/2]. Another retarded E1 transition was also found in a decay of a 21/2+ state. Its retardation was 1.6 × 10−4 comparing with the single particle value. High spin states of 126La have been populated using the reaction 116Sn+14N at 68 MeV. γ-rays and conversion electrons were detected with the GAREL array. Multipolarities of the lowest-lying in-band dipole transitions have been determined from the deduced internal conversion coefficients. Experimental B(M1)/B(E2) ratios have been derived for the bands and compared with calculated values using the D?nau-Frauendorf geometrical model. Configurations are proposed for the bands comparing them with cranked shell model calculations and on the basis of the measured B(M1)/B(E2) ratios. The β-decay of 126La has also been revisited. The population of the 126Ba levels gives a probable spin value of five for the decaying high-spin 126La state with T 1/2≈ 64 s which may indicate a signature inversion in the πh11/2νh11/2 band.
