In this paper we describe logarithmic moduli spaces of pairs (S, D) consisting of a minimal surface S of class VII with second Betti number b 2 > 0 together with a reduced maximal divisor D of b 2 rational curves. The special case of Enoki surfaces has already been considered by Dloussky and Kohler. We use normal forms for the action of the fundamental group of S\D and for the associated holomorphic contraction . Part of this work was done while the first author visited the University of Osnabrück under the program “Globale Methoden in der komplexen Geometrie” of the DFG and while the second author visited the Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn and the LATP, Université de Provence. We thank these institutions for their hospitality and for financial support. Furthermore the authors wish to thank Georges Dloussky for numerous discussions on surfaces of class VII.  相似文献

We find someL q -estimates for the spherical functions on Cartan domains. As an application we prove that if the rank of the Cartan domainD is greater than one, then for any 1<-q<, the invariant mean-value property forL q -function onD does not imply harmonicity (the converse is known to be true even in the context of general non-compact Riemannian symmetric spacesG/K).  相似文献

It will be shown in this paper that the automorphism group of a bounded homogeneous domain D in ℂ n can never act freely on $D$. An equivalent statement is that the isotropy groups of bounded homogeneous domains always contain at least two elements. Received: 7 May 1998  相似文献

We prove a Wiener-type criterion for super-Brownian motion and the Brownian snake. If F is a Borel subset of d and x ∈ ℝ d , we provide a necessary and sufficientcondition for super-Brownian motion started at δ x to immediately hit the set F. Equivalently, this condition is necessary and sufficient for the hitting time of F by theBrownian snake with initial point x to be 0. A key ingredient of the proof isan estimate showing that the hitting probability of F is comparable, up to multiplicative constants,to the relevant capacity of F. This estimate, which is of independent interest, refines previous results due to Perkins and Dynkin. An important role is played by additivefunctionals of the Brownian snake, which are investigated here via the potentialtheory of symmetric Markov processes. As a direct application of our probabilisticresults, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence in a domain D of a positivesolution of the equation Δ; u = u 2 which explodes at a given point of ∂ D. A *-ordering of a skew field D induces an ordering of the field K of its central symmetric elements. Let F be an ordered field extension of K. We prove that the central extension of D by F exists and admits a *-ordering extending the given *-ordering of D and ordering of F. As a corollary, we show that every *-ordered skew field can be extended to a *-ordered skew field containing in its center.  相似文献

We verify the conjecture formulated in [36] for suspension singularities of type g(x, y, z)=f(x, y)+zn, where f is an irreducible plane curve singularity. More precisely, we prove that the modified Seiberg–Witten invariant of the link M of g, associated with the canonical spinc structure, equals −σ(F)/8, where σ(F) is the signature of the Milnor fiber of g. In order to do this, we prove general splicing formulae for the Casson–Walker invariant and for the sign-refined Reidemeister–Turaev torsion. These provide results for some cyclic covers as well. As a by-product, we compute all the relevant invariants of M in terms of the Newton pairs of f and the integer n.  相似文献

We consider the generalized evolution of compact level sets by functions of their normal vectors and second fundamental forms on a Riemannian manifold M. The level sets of a function evolve in such a way whenever u solves an equation u t  + F(Du, D 2 u) = 0, for some real function F satisfying a geometric condition. We show existence and uniqueness of viscosity solutions to this equation under the assumptions that M has nonnegative curvature, F is continuous off {Du = 0}, (degenerate) elliptic, and locally invariant by parallel translation. We then prove that this approach is geometrically consistent, hence it allows to define a generalized evolution of level sets by very general, singular functions of their curvatures. For instance, these assumptions on F are satisfied when F is given by the evolutions of level sets by their mean curvature (even in arbitrary codimension) or by their positive Gaussian curvature. We also prove that the generalized evolution is consistent with the classical motion by the corresponding function of the curvature, whenever the latter exists. When M is not of nonnegative curvature, the same results hold if one additionally requires that F is uniformly continuous with respect to D 2 u. Finally we give some counterexamples showing that several well known properties of the evolutions in are no longer true when M has negative sectional curvature. D. Let D be a bounded domain in C 2 with a non-compact group of holomorphic automorphisms. Model domains for D are obtained under the hypotheses that at least one orbit accumulates at a boundary point near which the boundary is smooth, real analytic and of finite type. Let F be a field of characteristic ≠ 2 such that is of cohomological 2- and 3-dimension ≤ 2. For G a simply connected group of type 3 D 4 or 6 D 4 over F, we show that the natural map
where Ω F is the set of orderings of F and F v denotes the completion of F at v, restricts to be injective on the image of H 1(F, Z(G)) in H 1(F, G). For F not formally real, this implies that Serre's “Conjecture II” [Ser.94,III.3.1] holds for such groups if and only if trialitarian groups are classified by their Tits algebras over F. We consider the ring Kr(F/D), where D is a subring of a field F, that is the intersection of the trivial extensions to F(X) of the valuation rings of the Zariski–Riemann space consisting of all valuation rings of the extension F/D and investigate the ideal structure of Kr(F/D) in the case where D is an affine algebra over a subfield K of F and the extension F/K has countably infinite transcendence degree, by using the topological structure of the Zariski–Riemann space. We show that for any pair of nonnegative integers d and h, there are infinitely many prime ideals of dimension d and height h that are minimal over any proper nonzero finitely generated ideal of Kr(F/D).  相似文献

Let ƒ:MDC n be a holomorphic family of compact, complex surfaces, which is locally trivial onD∖Z, for an analytic subsetZ. Conditions are found under which ƒ extends trivially toD, if the fibers of ƒ|D∖Z are either Hirzebruch surfaces (projective bundles overP 1), Hopf surfaces (elliptic bundles overP 1), hyperelliptic bundles, or any compact complex surface having one of these as minimal model under blowing-down. The results of this paper are motivated by the existence of non-Hausdorff moduli spaces in the deformation of complex structure for certain complex manifolds.  相似文献

Let D be a division ring with centre F and denote by D′ the derived group (commutator subgroup) of D ? = D ? {0}. It is shown that if each element of D′ is algebraic over F, then D is algebraic over F. It is also proved that each finite separable extension of F in D is of the form F(c) for some element c in the derived group D′. Using these results, it is shown that if each element of the derived group D′ is of bounded degree over F, then D is finite dimensional over F.  相似文献

Let H2(D) denote the Hardy space of a bounded symmetric domain in its standard Harish-Chandra realization, and let be the weighted Bergman space with and where is a critical value depending on D. Suppose that is holomorphic. We show that if the composition operator defined by is compact (or, more generally, power-compact) on H2(D) or then has a unique fixed point z0 in D. We then prove that the spectrum of as an operator on these function spaces is precisely the set consisting of 0, 1, and all possible products of eigenvalues of These results extend previous work by Caughran/Schwartz and MacCluer. As a corollary, we now have that MacCluers previous spectrum results on the unit ball Bn extend to Hp(n) (not only for p = 2 but for all p > 1) and (for p 1), where n is the polydisk in   相似文献

Let D be a bounded symmetric domain realized as the open unit ball of a complex Banach space E and denote for every by s a the symmetry of D about a. We show that for every boundary point the locally uniform limit s c := lim c c s a exists as holomorphic map s c :DE and has values in the boundary of D. Let n > 1 and let C n denote the complex n-dimensional Euclidean space. We prove several jet-interpolation results for nowhere degenerate entire mappings F:C nC n and for holomorphic automorphisms of C n on discrete subsets of C n.We also prove an interpolation theorem for proper holomorphic embeddings of Stein manifolds into C n.For each closed complex submanifold (or subvariety) M ⊂ C n of complex dimension m < n we construct a domain ΩC n containing M and a biholomorphic map F: Ω → C n onto C n with J F ≡ 1such that F(M) intersects the image of any nondegenerate entire map G:C n−mC n at infinitely many points. If m = n − 1, we construct F as above such that C nF(M) is hyperbolic. In particular, for each m ≥ 1we construct proper holomorphic embeddings F:C mC m−1 such that the complement C m+1F(C m )is hyperbolic.  相似文献

Let w be a complex symmetric matrix of order r, and Δ 1(w), . . . , Δ r (w) the principal minors of w. If w belongs to the Siegel right half-space, then it is known that Re (Δ k (w)/Δ k-1(w)) > 0 for k = 1, . . . , r. In this paper we study this property in three directions. First we show that this holds for general symmetric right half-spaces. Second we present a series of non-symmetric right half-spaces with this property. We note that case-by-case verifications up to dimension 10 tell us that there is only one such irreducible non-symmetric tube domain. The proof of the property reduces to two lemmas. One is entirely generalized to non-symmetric cases as we prove in this paper. This is the third direction. As a byproduct of our study, we show that the basic relative invariants associated to a homogeneous regular open convex cone Ω studied earlier by the first author are characterized as the irreducible factors of the determinant of right multiplication operators in the complexification of the clan associated to Ω.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the technique of integral transformation, we obtain the Plemelj formulas with the Cauchy principal value and the Hadamard principal value of mixed higher order partial derivatives for integral of the Bochner-Martinelli type on a closed smooth manifold ∂D in Cn. From the Plemelj formulas and using the theory of complex partial differential equation, we prove that the problem of higher order boundary value DκΦ+(t) = DκΦ(t) + f(t) is equivalent to a complex linear higher order partial differential equation. Moreover, given a proper condition of the Cauchy boundary value problem, the problem of higher order boundary value has a unique branch complex harmonic solution satisfying Φ(∞) = 0 in Cn\∂D.  相似文献

Let M be a simple 3-manifold such that one component of ∂M, say F, has genus at least two. For a slope α on F, we denote by M(α) the manifold obtained by attaching a 2-handle to M along a regular neighborhood of α on F. If M(α) is reducible, then α is called a reducing slope. In this paper, we shall prove that the distance between two separating, reducing slopes on F is at most 4. This work is supported by NSFC (10625102).  相似文献

The question of existence of a maximal subgroup in the multiplicative group D* of a division algebra D finite-dimensional over its center F is investigated. We prove that if D* has no maximal subgroup, then deg(D) is not a power of 2, F*2 is divisible, and for each odd prime p dividing deg(D), there exist noncyclic division algebras of degree p over F.  相似文献

Let D be an F-central division algebra of index n. Here we present a criterion for the triviality of the group G(D) = D*/Nrd D/F (D*)D′ and thus generalizing various related results published recently. To be more precise, it is shown that G(D) = 1 if and only if SK 1(D) = 1 and F *2 = F *2n . Using this, we investigate the role of some particular subgroups of D* in the algebraic structure of D. In this direction, it is proved that a division algebra D of prime index is a symbol algebra if and only if D* contains a non-abelian nilpotent subgroup. More applications of this criterion including the computation of G(D) and the structure of maximal subgroups of D* are also investigated  相似文献
