A bimolecular rate constant,kDHO, of (29 ± 9) × 10?12 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 was measured using the relative rate technique for the reaction of the hydroxyl radical (OH) with 3,5‐dimethyl‐1‐hexyn‐3‐ol (DHO, HC?CC(OH)(CH3)CH2CH(CH3)2) at (297 ± 3) K and 1 atm total pressure. To more clearly define DHO's indoor environment degradation mechanism, the products of the DHO + OH reaction were also investigated. The positively identified DHO/OH reaction products were acetone ((CH3)2C?O), 3‐butyne‐2‐one (3B2O, HC?CC(?O)(CH3)), 2‐methyl‐propanal (2MP, H(O?)CCH(CH3)2), 4‐methyl‐2‐pentanone (MIBK, CH3C(?O)CH2CH(CH3)2), ethanedial (GLY, HC(?O)C(?O)H), 2‐oxopropanal (MGLY, CH3C(?O)C(?O)H), and 2,3‐butanedione (23BD, CH3C(?O)C(?O)CH3). The yields of 3B2O and MIBK from the DHO/OH reaction were (8.4 ± 0.3) and (26 ± 2)%, respectively. The use of derivatizing agents O‐(2,3,4,5,6‐pentalfluorobenzyl)hydroxylamine (PFBHA) and N,O‐bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA) clearly indicated that several other reaction products were formed. The elucidation of these other reaction products was facilitated by mass spectrometry of the derivatized reaction products coupled with plausible DHO/OH reaction mechanisms based on previously published volatile organic compound/OH gas‐phase reaction mechanisms. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The bimolecular rate constant of k (9.4 ± 2.4 × 10?12 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 was measured using the relative rate technique for the reaction of the nitrate radical (NO3?) with 4‐(2,6,6‐trimethyl‐1‐cyclohexen‐1‐yl)‐3‐buten‐2‐one (β‐ionone) at (297 ± 3) K and 1 atmosphere total pressure. In addition, the products of β‐ionone + NO3? reaction were also investigated. The identified reaction products were glyoxal (HC(?O)C(?O)H), and methylglyoxal (CH3C(?O)C(?O)H). Derivatizing agents O‐(2,3,4,5,6‐pentafluorobenzyl)hydroxylamine and N,O‐bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide were used to propose the other major reaction products: 3‐oxobutane‐1,2‐diyl nitrate, 2,6,6‐trimethylcyclohex‐1‐ene‐carbaldehyde, 2‐oxo‐1‐(2,6,6‐trimethylcyclohex‐1‐en‐1‐yl)ethyl nitrate, pentane‐2,4‐dione, 3‐oxo‐1‐(2,6,6‐trimethylcyclohex‐1‐en‐1‐yl)butane‐1,2‐diyl dinitrate, 3,3‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,2‐dione, and 4‐oxopent‐2‐enal. The elucidation of these products was facilitated by mass spectrometry of the derivatized reaction products coupled with plausible β‐ionone + NO3? reaction mechanisms based on previously published volatile organic compound + NO3? gas‐phase mechanisms. The additional gas‐phase products 5‐acetyl‐2‐ethylidene‐3‐methylcyclopentyl nitrate, 1‐(1‐hydroxy‐7,7‐dimethyl‐2,3,4,5,6,7‐hexahydro‐1 H‐inden‐2‐yl)ethanone, 1‐(1‐hydroxy‐3a,7‐dimethyl‐2,3,3a,4,5,6,‐hexahydro‐1 H‐inden‐2‐yl)ethanone, and 5‐acetyl‐2‐ethylidene‐3‐methylcyclopentanone are proposed to be the result of cyclization through a reaction intermediate. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. *

We study dynamics of the CH3 + OH reaction over the temperature range of 300–2500 K using a quasiclassical method for the potential energy composed of explicit forms of short‐range and long‐range interactions. The explicit potential energy used in the study gives minimum energy paths on potential energy surfaces showing barrier heights, channel energies, and van der Waals well, which are consistent with ab initio calculations. Approximately, 20% of CH3 + OH collisions undergo OH dissociation in a direct‐mode mechanism on a subpicosecond scale (<50 fs) with the rate coefficient as high as ~10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Less than 10% leads to the formation of excited intermediates CH3OH? with excess vibrational energies in CO and OH bonds. CH3OH? stabilizes to CH3OH, redissociates back to reactants, or forms one of various products after intramolecular energy redistribution via bond dissociation and formation on the time scale of 50–200 fs. The principal product is 1CH2 (k being ~10?11), whereas ks for CH2OH, CH2O, and CH3O are ~10?12. The minor products are HCOH and CH4 (k~10?13). The total rate coefficient for CH3 + OH → CH3OH? → products is ~10?11 and is weakly dependent on temperature. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Chem Kinet 43: 455–466, 2011  相似文献

The rate constant for the reaction of the hydroxyl radical with 1,2,2-trifuoroethane has been determined over the temperature range 278–323 K using a relative rate technique. The results provide a value of k(OH + CH2FCHF2) = 2.65 × 10?12 exp(?1542 ± 500/T) cm3 molecule?1 s?1 based on k(OH + CH3CCl3) = 1.2 × 10?12 exp(?1400 ± 200/T) cm3 molecule?1 s?1 for the rate constant of the reference reaction. The chlorine atom initiated photooxidation of CH2CHF2 was investigated from 255 to 330 K and as a function of O2 pressure at 1 atmosphere total pressure using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The major carbon-containing products were CHFO and CF2O suggesting that the alkoxy radicals CH2FCF2O and CHF2CHFO, formed in the reaction, react predominantly by carbon-carbon bond cleavage. The results indicate that formation of CHF2CFO from the reaction of CHF2CHFO radicals with O2 will be unimportant under all atmospheric conditions. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The formation of methyl iodide was determined by radiochemical methods and by massspectroscopic analyses in mixtures of Ar–CH4–I2 and Ar? CH4? I2? O2, heated by a reflected shock wave to temperatures of 830–1150 K. The rate of formation of CH3I was consistent with the chain mechanism where the indicated rate constant for reaction between I and CH4 is given by k2(cm3/mol · s) = 1014.17 exp(?32.9 ± 0.8 kcal/mol/RT). No effect on the reaction rate by the presence of O2 was detected. However, in one experiment at 1097 K with 3.86 mol % O2 the formation of CH2O was indicated by the mass-spectroscopic analysis, presumably from the reaction of O2 with CH3.  相似文献

The kinetics of the reaction of O + CH3OCH3 were investigated using fast-flow apparatus equipped with ESR and mass-spectrometric detection. The concentration of O(3P) atoms to CH3OCH3 was varied over an unusually large range. The rate constant for reaction was found to be k = (5.0 ± 1.0) × 1012 exp [(?2850 ± 200/RT)] cm3 mole?1 sec?1. The reaction O + CH3OH was studied using ESR detection. Based on an assumed stoichiometry of two oxygen atoms consumed per molecule of CH3OH which reacts, we obtain a value of k = (1.70 ± 0.66) × 1012 exp [(?2,280 ± 200/RT)] cm3 mole?1 sec?1 for the reaction The results obtained in this study are compared with the results from other workers on these reactions. The observation of essentially equal activation energies in these two reactions is indicative of approximately equal C? H bond strengths in CH3OCH3 and CH3OH. This is in agreement with recent measurements of these bond energies.  相似文献

The [C4H6O] ion of structure [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] (a) is generated by loss of C4H8 from ionized 6,6-dimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol. The heat of formation ΔHf of [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] was estimated to be 736 kJ mol?1. The isomeric ion [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] (b) was shown to have ΔHf, ? 761 kJ mol?1, 54 kJ mol?1 less than that of its keto analogue [CH3COCH?CH2]. Ion [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] may be generated by loss of C2H4 from ionized hex-1-en-3-one or by loss of C4H8 from ionized 4,4-dimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol. The [C4H6O] ion generated by loss of C2H4 from ionized 2-cyclohexen-1-ol was shown to consist of a mixture of the above enol ions by comparing the metastable ion and collisional activation mass spectra of [CH2?CHCH?CHOH] and [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] ions with that of the above daughter ion. It is further concluded that prior to their major fragmentations by loss of CH3˙ and CO, [CH2?CHCH?CHOH]+˙ and [CH2?C(OH)CH?CH2] do not rearrange to their keto counterparts. The metastable ion and collisional activation characteristics of the isomeric allenic [C4H6O] ion [CH2?C?CHCH2OH] are also reported.  相似文献

A direct kinetics study of the temperature dependence of the CH2O branching channel for the CH3O2 + HO2 reaction has been performed using the turbulent flow technique with high‐pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry for the detection of reactants and products. The temperature dependence of the CH2O‐producing channel rate constant was investigated between 298 and 218 K at a pressure of 100 Torr, and the data were fitted to the following Arrhenius expression: 1.6 × 10?15 × exp[(1730 ± 130)/T] cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Using the Arrhenius expression for the overall rate of the CH3O2 + HO2 reaction and this result, the 298 K branching ratio for the CH2O producing channel is measured to be 0.11, and the branching ratio is calculated to increase to a value of 0.31 at 218 K, the lowest temperature accessed in this study. The results are compared to the analogous CH3O2 + CH3O2 reaction and the potential atmospheric ramifications of significant CH2O production from the CH3O2 + HO2 reaction are discussed. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The bimolecular rate coefficients k and k were measured using the relative rate technique at (297 ± 3) K and 1 atmosphere total pressure. Values of (2.7 ± 0.7) and (4.0 ± 1.0) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 were observed for k and k, respectively. In addition, the products of 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? and benzyl alcohol + NO3? gas‐phase reactions were investigated. Derivatizing agents O‐(2,3,4,5,6‐pentafluorobenzyl)hydroxylamine and N, O‐bis (trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) were used to identify the reaction products. For 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? reaction: hydroxyacetaldehyde, 3‐hydroxypropanal, 4‐hydroxybutanal, butoxyacetaldehyde, and 4‐(2‐oxoethoxy)butan‐2‐yl nitrate were the derivatized products observed. For the benzyl alcohol + NO3? reaction: benzaldehyde ((C6H5)C(?O)H) was the only derivatized product observed. Negative chemical ionization was used to identify the following nitrate products: [(2‐butoxyethoxy)(oxido)amino]oxidanide and benzyl nitrate, for 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? and benzyl alcohol + NO3?, respectively. The elucidation of these products was facilitated by mass spectrometry of the derivatized reaction products coupled with a plausible 2‐butoxyethanol or benzyl alcohol + NO3? reaction mechanisms based on previously published volatile organic compound + NO3? gas‐phase mechanisms. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

The gas‐phase reaction of monomethylhydrazine (CH3NH? NH2; MMH) with ozone was investigated in a flow tube at atmospheric pressure and a temperature of 295 ± 2 K using N2/O2 mixtures (3–30 vol% O2) as the carrier gas. Proton transfer reaction–mass spectrometry (PTR‐MS) and long‐path FT‐IR spectroscopy served as the main analytical techniques. The kinetics of the title reaction was investigated with a relative rate technique yielding kMMH+O3 = (4.3 ± 1.0) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Methyldiazene (CH3N?NH; MeDia) has been identified as the main product in this reaction system as a result of PTR‐MS analysis. The reactivity of MeDia toward ozone was estimated relative to the reaction of MMH with ozone resulting in kMeDia+O3 = (2.7 ± 1.6) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. OH radicals were followed indirectly by phenol formation from the reaction of OH radicals with benzene. Increasing OH radical yields with increasing MMH conversion have been observed pointing to the importance of secondary processes for OH radical generation. Generally, the detected OH radical yields were definitely smaller than thought so far. The results of this study do not support the mechanism of OH radical formation from the reaction of MMH with ozone as proposed in the literature.  相似文献

    Gas-phase reactions typical of the Earth’s atmosphere have been studied for a number of partially fluorinated alcohols (PFAs). The rate constants of the reactions of CF3CH2OH, CH2FCH2OH, and CHF2CH2OH with fluorine atoms have been determined by the relative measurement method. The rate constant for CF3CH2OH has been measured in the temperature range 258–358 K (k = (3.4 ± 2.0) × 1013exp(?E/RT) cm3 mol?1 s?1, where E = ?(1.5 ± 1.3) kJ/mol). The rate constants for CH2FCH2OH and CHF2CH2OH have been determined at room temperature to be (8.3 ± 2.9) × 1013 (T = 295 K) and (6.4 ± 0.6) × 1013 (T = 296 K) cm3 mol?1 s?1, respectively. The rate constants of the reactions between dioxygen and primary radicals resulting from PFA + F reactions have been determined by the relative measurement method. The reaction between O2 and the radicals of the general formula C2H2F3O (CF3CH2? and CF3?HOH) have been investigated in the temperature range 258–358 K to obtain k = (3.8 ± 2.0) × 108exp(?E/RT) cm3 mol?1 s?1, where E = ?(10.2 ± 1.5) kJ/mol. For the reaction between O2 and the radicals of the general formula C2H4FO (? HFCH2O, CH2F?HOH, and CH2FCH2?) at T = 258–358 K, k = (1.3 ± 0.6) × 1011exp(?E/RT) cm3 mol?1 s?1, where E = ?(5.3 ± 1.4) kJ/mol. The rate constant of the reaction between O2 and the radicals with the general formula C2H3F2O (?F2CH2O, CHF2?HOH, and CHF2CH2?) at T = 300 K is k = 1.32 × 1011 cm3 mol?1 s?1. For the reaction between NO and the primary radicals with the general formula C2H2F3O (CF3CH2? and CF3?HOH), which result from the reaction CF3CH2OH + F, the rate constant at 298 K is k = 9.7 × 109 cm3 mol?1 s?1. The experiments were carried out in a flow reactor, and the reaction mixture was analyzed mass-spectrometrically. A mechanism based on the results of our studies and on the literature data has been suggested for the atmospheric degradation of PFAs.  相似文献

Rate coefficients and/or mechanistic information are provided for the reaction of Cl‐atoms with a number of unsaturated species, including isoprene, methacrolein ( MACR ), methyl vinyl ketone ( MVK ), 1,3‐butadiene, trans‐2‐butene, and 1‐butene. The following Cl‐atom rate coefficients were obtained at 298 K near 1 atm total pressure: k(isoprene) = (4.3 ± 0.6) × 10?10cm3 molecule?1 s?1 (independent of pressure from 6.2 to 760 Torr); k( MVK ) = (2.2 ± 0.3) × 10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1; k( MACR ) = (2.4 ± 0.3) × 10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1; k(trans‐2‐butene) = (4.0 ± 0.5) × 10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1; k(1‐butene) = (3.0 ± 0.4) × 10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Products observed in the Cl‐atom‐initiated oxidation of the unsaturated species at 298 K in 1 atm air are as follows (with % molar yields in parentheses): CH2O (9.5 ± 1.0%), HCOCl (5.1 ± 0.7%), and 1‐chloro‐3‐methyl‐3‐buten‐2‐one (CMBO, not quantified) from isoprene; chloroacetaldehyde (75 ± 8%), CO2 (58 ± 5%), CH2O (47 ± 7%), CH3OH (8%), HCOCl (7 ± 1%), and peracetic acid (6%) from MVK ; CO (52 ± 4%), chloroacetone (42 ± 5%), CO2 (23 ± 2%), CH2O (18 ± 2%), and HCOCl (5%) from MACR ; CH2O (7 ± 1%), HCOCl (3%), acrolein (≈3%), and 4‐chlorocrotonaldehyde (CCA, not quantified) from 1,3‐butadiene; CH3CHO (22 ± 3%), CO2 (13 ± 2%), 3‐chloro‐2‐butanone (13 ± 4%), CH2O (7.6 ± 1.1%), and CH3OH (1.8 ± 0.6%) from trans‐2‐butene; and chloroacetaldehyde (20 ± 3%), CH2O (7 ± 1%), CO2 (4 ± 1%), and HCOCl (4 ± 1%) from 1‐butene. Product yields from both trans‐2‐butene and 1‐butene were found to be O2‐dependent. In the case of trans‐2‐butene, the observed O2‐dependence is the result of a competition between unimolecular decomposition of the CH3CH(Cl)? CH(O?)? CH3 radical and its reaction with O2, with kdecomp/kO2 = (1.6 ± 0.4) × 1019 molecule cm?3. The activation energy for decomposition is estimated at 11.5 ± 1.5 kcal mol?1. The variation of the product yields with O2 in the case of 1‐butene results from similar competitive reaction pathways for the two β‐chlorobutoxy radicals involved in the oxidation, ClCH2CH(O?)CH2CH3 and ?OCH2CHClCH2CH3. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The gas‐phase reaction mechanism between methane and rhodium monoxide for the formation of methanol, syngas, formaldehyde, water, and methyl radical have been studied in detail on the doublet and quartet state potential energy surfaces at the CCSD(T)/6‐311+G(2d, 2p), SDD//B3LYP/6‐311+G(2d, 2p), SDD level. Over the 300–1100 K temperature range, the branching ratio for the Rh(4F) + CH3OH channel is 97.5–100%, whereas the branching ratio for the D‐CH2ORh + H2 channel is 0.0–2.5%, and the branching ratio for the D‐CH2ORh + H2 channel is so small to be ruled out. The minimum energy reaction pathway for the main product methanol formation involving two spin inversions prefers to both start and terminate on the ground quartet state, where the ground doublet intermediate CH3RhOH is energetically preferred, and its formation rate constant over the 300–1100 K temperature range is fitted by kCH3RhOH = 7.03 × 106 exp(?69.484/RT) dm3 mol?1 s?1. On the other hand, the main products shall be Rh + CH3OH in the reactions of RhO + CH4, CH2ORh + H2, Rh + CO +2H2, and RhCH2 + H2O, whereas the main products shall be CH2ORh + H2 in the reaction of Rh + CH3OH. Meanwhile, the doublet intermediates H2RhOCH2 and CH3RhOH are predicted to be energetically favored in the reactions of Rh + CH3OH and CH2ORh + H2 and in the reaction of RhCH2 + H2O, respectively. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Terpenes and terpene alcohols are prevalent compounds found in a wide variety of consumer products including soaps, flavorings, perfumes, and air fresheners used in the indoor environment. Knowing the reaction rate of these chemicals with the nitrate radical is an important factor in determining their fate indoors. In this study, the bimolecular rate constants of k (16.6 ± 4.2) × 10?12, k (12.1 ± 3) × 10?12, and k (2.3 ± 0.6) × 10?14 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 were measured using the relative rate technique for the reaction of the nitrate radical (NO3?) with 2,6‐dimethyl‐2,6‐octadien‐8‐ol (geraniol), 3,7‐dimethyl‐6‐octen‐1‐ol (citronellol), and 2,6‐dimethyl‐7‐octen‐2‐ol (dihydromyrcenol) at (297 ± 3) K and 1 atmosphere total pressure. Using the geraniol, citronellol, or dihydromyrcenol + NO3? rate constants reported here, pseudo‐first‐order rate lifetimes (k′) of 1.5, 1.1, and 0.002 h?1 were determined, respectively. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction mechanisms for oxidation of CH3CCl2 and CCl3CH2 radicals, formed in the atmospheric degradation of CH3CCl3 have been elucidated. The primary oxidation products from these radicals are CH3CClO and CCl3CHO, respectively. Absolute rate constants for the reaction of hydroxyl radicals with CH3CCl3 have been measured in 1 atm of Argon at 359, 376, and 402 K using pulse radiolysis combined with UV kinetic spectroscopy giving ??(OH + CH3CCl3) = (5.4 ± 3) 10?12 exp(?3570 ± 890/RT) cm3 molecule?1 s?1. A value of this rate constant of 1.3 × 10?14 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 at 298 K was calculated using this Arrhenius expression. A relative rate technique was utilized to provide rate data for the OH + CH3 CCl3 reaction as well as the reaction of OH with the primary oxidation products. Values of the relative rate constants at 298 K are: ??(OH + CH3CCl3) = (1.09 ± 0.35) × 10?14, ??(OH + CH3CClO) = (0.91 ± 0.32) × 10?14, ??(OH + CCl3CHO) = (178 ± 31) × 10?14, ??(OH + CCl2O) < 0.1 × 10?14; all in units of cm3 molecule?1 s?1. The effect of chlorine substitution on the reactivity of organic compounds towards OH radicals is discussed.  相似文献

The mechanisms for the reaction of CH3SSCH3 with OH radical are investigated at the QCISD(T)/6‐311++G(d,p)//B3LYP/6‐311++G(d,p) level of theory. Five channels have been obtained and six transition state structures have been located for the title reaction. The initial association between CH3SSCH3 and OH, which forms two low‐energy adducts named as CH3S(OH)SCH3 (IM1 and IM2), is confirmed to be a barrierless process, The S? S bond rupture and H? S bond formation of IM1 lead to the products P1(CH3SH + CH3SO) with a barrier height of 40.00 kJ mol?1. The reaction energy of Path 1 is ?74.04 kJ mol?1. P1 is the most abundant in view of both thermodynamics and dynamics. In addition, IMs can lead to the products P2 (CH3S + CH3SOH), P3 (H2O + CH2S + CH3S), P4 (CH3 + CH3SSOH), and P5 (CH4 + CH3SSO) by addition‐elimination or hydrogen abstraction mechanism. All products are thermodynamically favorable except for P4 (CH3 + CH3SSOH). The reaction energies of Path 2, Path 3, Path 4, and Path 5 are ?28.42, ?46.90, 28.03, and ?89.47 kJ mol?1, respectively. Path 5 is the least favorable channel despite its largest exothermicity (?89.47 kJ mol?1) because this process must undergo two barriers of TS5 (109.0 kJ mol?1) and TS6 (25.49 kJ mol?1). Hopefully, the results presented in this study may provide helpful information on deep insight into the reaction mechanism. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2011  相似文献

Ab initio calculations at the CCSD(T)/6‐311++G(2d,p)//B3LYP/6‐311++G(d,p) level of theory have been carried out for three prototypical rearrangement processes of organosilicon anion systems. The first two are reactions of enolate ions which involve oxygen–silicon bond formation via three‐ and four‐membered states, respectively. The overall reactions are: The ΔG (reaction) values for the two processes are +175 and +51 kJ mol?1, with maximum barriers (to the highest transition state) of +55 and +159 kJ mol?1, respectively. The third studied process is the following: (CH3O)C(?CH2)Si(CH3)2CH → (CH3)2(C2H5)Si? + CH2CO, a process involving an SNi reaction between ‐CH and CH3O‐ followed by silicon–carbon bond cleavage. The reaction is favourable [ΔG(reaction) = ?39 kJ mol?1] with the barrier for the SNi process being 175 kJ mol?1. The previous experimental and the current theoretical data are complementary and in agreement. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Positive and negative cluster ions in methanol have been examined using a direct fast atom bombardment (FAB) probe technique. Positive ion (CH3OH)IIH + clusters with n = 1-28 have been observed and their clusters are the dominant ions in the low-mass region. Cluster-ion reaction products (CH3OH)II(H2O)H+ and (CH3OH)II(CH3OCH3)H+ are observed for a wide range of n and the abundances of these ions decrease with increasing n. The negative ion (CH3OH)II(CH3O)? clusters are also readily observed with n = 0-24 and these form the most-abundant negative ion series at low n. The (CH3OH)II(CH2O)?, (CH3OH)II(HIIO)(CH2O)? and (CH3OH)II(H2OXCH3O)? cluster ions are formed and the abundances of these ions approach those of the (CH3OH)II(CH3O)? ion series at high n. Cluster-ion structures and energetics have been examined using semi-empirical molecular orbital methods.  相似文献

The kinetics of the gas-phase reaction of the NO3 radical with naphthalene have been investigated at 150 torr O2 + 590 torr N2 and 600 torr O2 + 140 torr N2 at 298 ± 2 K. Relative rate measurements were carried out in reacting NO3? N2O5-naphthalene-propene-O2? N2 mixtures by longpath Fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy. A rate constant ratio for the reactions of O2 and NO2 with the NO3-naphthalene adduct of k/k < 4 × 10?7 was obtained from the competition between O2 and NO2 for reaction with the NO3-naphthalene adduct and thermal decomposition of the adduct back to reactants. Atmospheric pressure ionization MS/MS measurements of the nitronaphthalene products of the NO3 radical-initiated reaction of naphthalene are consistent with the proposed reaction mechanism, and the atmospheric implications of the data are discussed. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The rate coefficients obtained were (in units of cm3 molecule?1 s?1): dimethyl succinate (1.89 ± 0.26) × 10?12; dimethyl glutarate (2.13 ± 0.28) × 10?12; and dimethyl adipate (3.64 ± 0.66) × 10?12. Rate coefficients have been also measured for the reaction of chlorine atoms with the three dibasic esters; the rate coefficients obtained were (in units of cm3 molecule?1 s?1): dimethyl succinate (6.79 ± 0.93) × 10?12; dimethyl glutarate (1.90 ± 0.33) × 10?11; and dimethyl adipate (6.08 ± 0.86) × 10?11. Dibasic esters are industrial solvents, and their increased use will lead to their possible release into the atmosphere, where they may contribute to the formation of photochemical air pollution in urban and regional areas. Consequently, the products formed from the oxidation of dimethyl succinate have been investigated in a 405‐L Pyrex glass reactor using Cl‐atom–initiated oxidation as a surrogate for the OH radical. The products observed using in situ Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) absorption spectroscopy and their fractional molar yields were: succinic formic anhydride (0.341 ± 0.068), monomethyl succinate (0.447 ± 0.111), carbon monoxide (0.307 ± 0.061), dimethyl oxaloacetate (0.176 ± 0.044), and methoxy formylperoxynitrate (0.032–0.084). These products account for 82.4 ± 16.4% C of the total reaction products. Although there are large uncertainties in the quantification of monomethyl succinate and dimethyl oxaloacetate, the product study allows the elucidation of an oxidation mechanism for dimethyl succinate. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
