Triosmium cluster Os3(-H)(CO)10(--2-CCC Me2OMe) (1) was obtained by treating OS3(-H)(-Cl)(CO)10 with LiCCCMe2OMe. The reaction of cluster1 with HBF4 · Et2O at –60 °C leads to the cationic complex [Os3(-H)(CO)10(-,,2-C=C=C Me2)]+BF4 (2) with an allenylidene ligand. Thes1H and13C NMR spectra of complex2 reveal the temperature dependence caused by migration of hydrocarbon and carbonyl ligands. Thermodynamic parameters were obtained for be exchange process of the allenylidene ligand.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Treatment of the electronically unsaturated 4-methylquinoline triosmium cluster $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{9}(\upmu_3\hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-}\hbox{C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{5} \hbox{(4-Me)N})(\upmu\hbox{-H})]$ (1) with tetramethylthiourea in refluxing cyclohexane at 81°C gave $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{8}(\upmu\hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{5} \hbox{(4-Me)N})(\upeta^2\hbox{-SC}(\hbox{NMe}_2\hbox{NCH}_2\hbox{Me})(\upmu \hbox{-H})_2]$ (2) and $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{9}(\upmu\hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{5}\hbox{(4-Me)N})(\upeta^1\hbox{-SC}(\hbox{NMe}_2)_2)(\upmu\hbox{-H})]$ (3). In contrast, a similar reaction of the corresponding quinoline compound $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{9}(\upmu_{3}\hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{6}\hbox{N})(\upmu\hbox{-H})]$ (4) with tetramethylthiourea afforded $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{9}(\upmu\hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{6}\hbox{N})(\upeta^{1}\hbox{-SC(NMe}_{2})_{2})(\upmu\hbox{-H)}]$ (5) as the only product. Compound 2 contains a cyclometallated tetramethylthiourea ligand which is chelating at the rear osmium atom and a quinolyl ligand coordinated to the Os3 triangle via the nitrogen lone pair and the C(8) atom of the carbocyclic ring. In 3 and 5, the tetramethylthiourea ligand is coordinated at an equatorial site of the osmium atom, which is also bound to the carbon atom of the quinolyl ligand. Compounds 3 and 5 react with PPh3 at room temperature to give the previously reported phosphine substituted products $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO)}_{9}(\upmu \hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{5}\hbox{(4-Me)N)(PPh}_{3})(\upmu\hbox{-H)}]$ (6) and $[\hbox{Os}_{3}\hbox{(CO}_{9}(\upmu \hbox{-}\upeta^{2}\hbox{-C}_{9}\hbox{H}_{6}\hbox{N)(PPh}_{3})(\upmu\hbox{-H)}]$ (7) by the displacement of the tetramethylthiourea ligand.  相似文献

The reaction of [Os3(CO)10(μ-dppm)] (1) with tBu2PH in refluxing diglyme results in the electron-deficient metal cluster complex [Os3(CO)5(μ3-H)(μ-PtBu2)2(μ-dppm)] (2) (dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2) in good yields. The molecular structure of 2 has been established by a single crystal X-ray structure analysis. In contrast to the known homologue [Ru3(μ-CO)(CO)4(μ3-H)(μ-H)(μ-PtBu2)2(μ-dppm)] (3), no bridging carbonyl ligand was found in 2. The electronically unsaturated cluster 2 does not react with carbon monoxide under elevated pressure, therefore 2 seems to be coordinatively saturated by reason of the high steric demands of the phosphido ligands.  相似文献

The reaction of PtRu5(CO)166-C),1 with 3-hexyne in the presence of UV irradiation produced two new electron-rich platinum-ruthenium cluster complexes PtRu5(CO)13(μ-EtC2Et)(μ3-EtC2Et)(μ5-C),2 (20% yield) and Pt2Ru6(CO)17(μ-η5-Et4C5)(μ3-EtC2Et) (μ6-C),3 (7% yield). Both compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound2 contains of a platinum capped square pyramidal cluster of five ruthenium atoms with the carbido ligand located in the center of the square pyramid. A EtC2Et ligand bridges one of the PtRu2 triangles and the Ru-Pt bond between the apical ruthenium atom and the platinum cap. The structure of compound3 consists of an octahedral PtRu5 cluster with an interstitial carbido ligand and a platinum atom capping one of the PtRu2 triangles. There is an additional Ru(CO)2 group extending from the platinum atom in the PtRu5 cluster that contains a metallated tetraethylcyclopentadienyl ligand that bridges to the platinum capping group. There is also a EtC2Et ligand bridging one of the PtRu2 triangular faces to the capping platinum atom. Compounds2 and3 both contain two valence electrons more than the number predicted by conventional electron counting theories, and both also possess unusually long metal-metal bonds that may be related to these anomalous electron configurations. The reactions of the heterometallic complexes (-H)Os3(-O2CC5H4FeCp)(CO)10 (1) and Fe{(-O2CC5H4)(-H)Os3(CO)10}2 (2) with CF3COOH, CF3SO3H, and AcCl were studied. The reaction of 1 with CF3COOH involves interaction with the Cp ligands, protonation of the O atom of the bridging carboxylate group, and oxidative degradation of the complex. At low concentrations, CF3SO3H protonates the O atom of the bridging carboxylate group, while at high concentrations, degradation of the complex takes place. The reaction of complex 2with either CF3COOH or low concentrations of CF3SO3H results in successive elimination of two [(-H)Os3(CO)10] cluster fragments due to protonation of the O atoms of the carboxylate groups. In the case of high CF3SO3H concentrations, the Os—Os bonds of both cluster fragments of 2 are also protonated to give the [Fe{(-O2CC5H4)(-H)2Os3(CO)10}2]2+ dication. The Friedel—Crafts acylation of 1 takes place only when a large excess of AcCl and AlCl3 is used to give two new complexes, (-H)Os3(-O2CC5H4FeC5H4C(O)CH3)(CO)10 and (-H)Os3(-O2CC5H3C(O)CH3FeCp)(CO)10 in a 2 : 1 ratio.  相似文献

The reactions of [Ru3(μ-H)(μ-ampy)(CO)9] (1) (Hampy = 2-amino-6-methylpyridine) with one or two equivalents of PPh2H lead to the complexes [Ru3(μ-H)(μ3-ampy)(CO)8(PPh2H)] (2) or [Ru3(μ-H)(μ3-ampy)(CO)7(PPh2H)2] (3), in which the PPh2H ligands are cis to the bridging NH fragment and cis to the hydride. Complex 2 can be transformed in refluxing THF into the phosphido-bridged derivative [Ru33-ampy)(μ-PPh2)(μ-CO)2(CO)6] (4), which contains the PPh2 ligand spanning one of the two RuRu edges unbridged by the amido moiety, and presents an extremely high 31P chemical shift of 386.9 ppm. Under similar conditions, complex 3 gives a mixture of two isomers of [Ru3(μ-H)(μ3-ampy)(μ-PPh2)2(CO)6] in a 5:1 ratio; the major product (5) has a plane of symmetry, whereas the minor one (6) is asymmetric.  相似文献

The complexes Pt(nb)3-n(P-iPr3)n (n=1, 2, nb=bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene), prepared in situ from Pt(nb)3, are useful reagents for addition of Pt(P-iPr3)n fragments to saturated triruthenium clusters. The complexes Ru3Pt(CO)11(P-iPr3)2 (1), Ru3Pt(-H)(3-3-MeCCHCMe)(CO)9(P-iPr3) (2), Ru3Pt(3-2-PhCCPh)(CO)10(P-iPr3) (3), Ru3Pt(-H)(4-N)(CO)10(P-iPr3) (4) and Ru3Pt(-H)(4-2-NO)(CO)10(P-iPr3) (5) have been prepared in this fashion. All complexes have been characterized spectroscopically and by single crystal X-ray determinations. Clusters 1–3 all have 60 cluster valence electrons (CVE) but exhibit differing metal skeletal geometries. Cluster 1 exhibits a planar-rhomboidal metal skeleton with 5 metal–metal bonds and with minor disorder in the metal atoms. Cluster 2 has a distorted tetrahedral metal arrangement, while cluster 3 has a butterfly framework (butterfly angle=118.93(2)°). Clusters 4 and 5 posseses 62 CVE and spiked triangular metal frameworks. Cluster 4 contains a 4-nitrido ligand, while cluster 5 has a highly unusual 4-2-nitrosyl ligand with a very long nitrosyl N–O distance of 1.366(5) Å.  相似文献

The application of 35 GHz pulsed EPR and ENDOR spectroscopies has established that the biomimetic model complex L(3)Fe(μ-NH)(μ-H)FeL(3) (L(3) = [PhB(CH(2)PPh(2))(3)](-)) complex, 3, is a novel S = (1)/(2) type-III mixed-valence di-iron II/III species, in which the unpaired electron is shared equally between the two iron centers. (1,2)H and (14,15)N ENDOR measurements of the bridging imide are consistent with an allyl radical molecular orbital model for the two bridging ligands. Both the (μ-H) and the proton of the (μ-NH) of the crystallographically characterized 3 show the proposed signature of a 'bridging' hydride that is essentially equidistant between two 'anchor' metal ions: a rhombic dipolar interaction tensor, T ≈ [T, -T, 0]. The point-dipole model for describing the anisotropic interaction of a bridging H as the sum of the point-dipole couplings to the 'anchor' metal ions reproduces this signature with high accuracy, as well as the axial tensor of a terminal hydride, T ≈ [-T, -T, 2T], thus validating both the model and the signatures. This validation in turn lends strong support to the assignment, based on such a point-dipole analysis, that the molybdenum-iron cofactor of nitrogenase contains two [Fe-H(-)-Fe] bridging-hydride fragments in the catalytic intermediate that has accumulated four reducing equivalents (E(4)). Analysis further reveals a complementary similarity between the isotropic hyperfine couplings for the bridging hydrides in 3 and E(4). This study provides a foundation for spectroscopic study of hydrides in a variety of reducing metalloenzymes in addition to nitrogenase.  相似文献

A comparison of the electrochemical properties of a series of dinuclear complexes [M(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+) with M = Mn or Co, L = 2,6-bis(N,N-bis-(2-pyridylmethyl)-sulfonamido)-4-methylphenolato (bpsmp(-)) or 2,6-bis(N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl)-4-tert-butylphenolato (bpbp(-)) and R = H, CH(3), CF(3) or 3,4-dimethoxybenzoate demonstrates: (i) The electron-withdrawing sulfonyl groups in the backbone of bpsmp(-) stabilize the [M(2)(bpsmp)(RCO(2))(2)](+) complexes in their M(II)(2) oxidation state compared to their [M(2)(bpbp)(RCO(2))(2)](+) analogues. Manganese complexes are stabilised by approximately 550 mV and cobalt complexes by 650 mV. (ii) The auxiliary bridging carboxylato ligands further attenuate the metal-based redox chemistry. Substitution of two acetato for two trifluoroacetato ligands shifts redox couples by 300-400 mV. Within the working potential window, reversible or quasi-reversible M(II)M(III)? M(II)(2) processes range from 0.31 to 1.41 V for the [Co(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+/2+) complexes and from 0.54 to 1.41 V for the [Mn(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+/2+) complexes versus Ag/AgCl for E(M(II)M(III)/M(II)(2)). The extreme limits are defined by the complexes [M(2)(bpbp)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)](+) and [M(2)(bpsmp)(CF(3)CO(2))(2)](+) for both metal ions. Thus, tuning the ligand field in these dinuclear complexes makes possible a range of around 0.9 V and 1.49 V for the one-electron E(M(II)M(III)/M(II)(2)) couple of the Mn and Co complexes, respectively. The second one-electron process, M(II)M(III)? M(III)(2) was also observed in some cases. The lowest potential recorded for the E°(M(III)(2)/M(II)M(III)) couple was 0.63 V for [Co(2)(bpbp)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)](2+) and the highest measurable potential was 2.23 V versus Ag/AgCl for [Co(2)(bpsmp)(CF(3)CO(2))(2)](2+).  相似文献

The complexes Co3(CO)9( 3-X) (X=S, Se) can be reduced to the corresponding anionic species [Co3(CO)9( 3-X)], which react with allyl bromide to give Co3(CO)7(- 3-C3H5)( 3-X) (X=S, Se). These are the first two cobalt complexes containing the bridging - 3-allyl ligand. The structure of the selenium complex was determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data for Co3(CO)7(- 3-C3H5)( 3-Se) are as follows: space group P21/c, a=9.051(2) Å, b=8.102(2) Å, c=21.27(4) Å, =93.82(3)°, Z=4, and R=0.0565 for 2491 observed reflections.  相似文献

The binuclear phosphine complex [Fe(2)Cp(2)(μ-CO)(2)(CO)(PH(2)Ph)] (Cp = η(5)-C(5)H(5)) reacted with the acetonitrile adduct [Fe(2)Cp(2)(μ-CO)(2)(CO)(NCMe)] in dichloromethane at 293 K to give the trinuclear hydride-phosphinidene derivative [Fe(3)Cp(3)(μ-H)(μ(3)-PPh)(CO)(4)] as a mixture of cis, anti and trans isomers (Fe-Fe = 2.7217(6) ? for the cis, anti isomer). In contrast, photochemical treatment of the phosphine complex with [Fe(2)Cp(2)(CO)(4)] gave the phosphide-bridged complex trans-[Fe(3)Cp(3)(μ-PHPh)(μ-CO)(2)(CO)(3)] as the major product, along with small amounts of the binuclear hydride-phosphide complexes [Fe(2)Cp(2)(μ-H)(μ-PHPh)(CO)(2)] (cis and trans isomers), which are more selectively prepared from [Fe(2)Cp(2)(CO)(4)] and PH(2)Ph at 388 K. The photochemical decarbonylation of either of the mentioned triiron compounds led reversibly to three different products depending on the reaction conditions: (a) the 48-electron phosphinidene cluster [Fe(3)Cp(3)(μ-H)(μ(3)-PPh)(μ-CO)(2)] (Fe-Fe = 2.592(2)-2.718(2) ?); (b) the 50-electron complex [Fe(3)Cp(3)(μ-H)(μ(3)-PPh)(μ-CO)(CO)(2)], also having carbonyl- and hydride-bridged metal-metal bonds (Fe-Fe = 2.6177(3) and 2.7611(4) ?, respectively); and (c) the 48-electron phosphide cluster [Fe(3)Cp(3)(μ-PHPh)(μ(3)-CO)(μ-CO)(2)], an isomer of the latter phosphinidene complex now having three intermetallic bonds (Fe-Fe = 2.5332(8)-2.6158(8) ?).  相似文献

Abstract

Syntheses and structures of penta- and hexaphosphorus analogues of ferrocene have been described recently1. Unlike their simple ferrocene analogues, these complexes have further ligating potential towards other transition metal centres by virtue of the availability of the ring phosphorus lone-pair electrons that are not involved in the η5-coordination. We now describe the first examples of coordination compounds of the triphospha-ferrocene [Fe(η5-C5Me5) (η5-C2 tBu2P3]. In the ruthenium complex [Fe(η5-C5Me5)(η5-C2 tBu2P3) Ru3(CO)9] 2 two adjacent phosphorus atoms of the η5-C2 tBu2P3 ring are interlinked by a ruthenium carbonyl cluster in which all three ruthenium atoms interact with the phosphorus atoms. The tetrametallic nickel complex [Fe(η5-C5Me5)(η5-C2 tBu2P3)Ni(CO)2]2 3 represents the first example of intermolecular interlinkage of two phospha-ferrocene systems by two metal centres.  相似文献

The reaction of the heterometallic vinylidene cluster RuCo2(CO)9(3-2-C=CHPh) with the diphosphine ligand 4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-4-cyclopenten-1,3-dione (bpcd) proceeds readily in the presence of Me3NO to furnish the new cluster RuCo2(CO)7(bpcd)(3-2-C=CHPh) as the sole product. This cluster has been isolated by preparative chromatography and characterized in solution by IR spectroscopy. The molecular structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, which has confirmed the chelation of the bpcd ligand to the ruthenium center and the change in the coordination mode exhibited by the vinylidene ligand. RuCo2(CO)7(bpcd)(3-2-C=CHPh) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P , a = 10.5788(9), b = 11.909(1), c = 19.526(2) Å, = 84.491(9)°, = 78.068(8)°, = 63.760(7)°, V = 2158.7(4) Å3, Z = 2, and d calc = 1.581.  相似文献

The trinuclear osmium carbonyl cluster, [Os3(CO)10(MeCN)2], is allowed to react with 1 equiv. of [IrCp1Cl2]2 (Cp1 = pentamethylcyclopentadiene) in refluxing dichloromethane to give two new osmium–iridium mixed-metal clusters, [Os3Ir2(Cp1)2(μ-OH)(μ-CO)2(CO)8Cl] (1) and [Os3IrCp1(μ-OH)(CO)10Cl] (2), in moderate yields. In the presence of a pyridyl ligand, [C5H3N(NH2)Br], however, the products isolated are different. Two osmium–iridium clusters with different coordination modes of the pyridyl ligand are afforded, [Os3IrCp1(μ-H)(μ-Cl)(η33-C5H2N(NH2)Br)(CO)9] (3) and [Os3IrCp1(μ-Cl)223-C5H3N(NH)Br)(CO)7] (4). All of the new compounds are characterized by conventional spectroscopic methods, and their structures are determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

Microwave heating allows for the high-yield, one-step synthesis of the known triosmium complexes Os3(μ-Br)2(CO)10 (1), Os3(μ-I)2(CO)10 (2), and Os3(μ-H)(μ-OR)(CO)10 with R = methyl (3), ethyl (4), isopropyl (5), n-butyl (6), and phenyl (7). In addition, the new clusters Os3(μ-H)(μ-OR)(CO)10 with R = n-propyl (8), sec-butyl (9), isobutyl (10), and tert-butyl (11) are synthesized in a microwave reactor. The preparation of these complexes is easily accomplished without the need to first prepare an activated derivative of Os3(CO)12, and without the need to exclude air from the reaction vessel. The syntheses of complexes 1 and 2 are carried out in less than 15 min by heating stoichiometric mixtures of Os3(CO)12 and the appropriate halogen in cyclohexane. Clusters 36 and 810 are prepared by the microwave irradiation of Os3(CO)12 in neat alcohols, while clusters 7 and 11 are prepared from mixtures of Os3(CO)12, alcohol and 1,2-dichlorobenzene. Structural characterization of clusters 2, 4, and 5 was carried out by X-ray crystallographic analysis. High resolution X-ray crystal structures of two other oxidative addition products, Os3(CO)12I2 (12) and Os3(μ-H)(μ-O2CC6H5)(CO)10 (13), are also presented.  相似文献

The migration of the double bond in the allylcarboxamide ligands of (μ-H)Os3(μ-O=CN RCH2CH=CH2) (CO)10 (R=H (1) or CH3 (2)), (μ-D)Os3(μ-O=CNDCH2CH=CH2) (CO)10, and (μ-H)Os3(μ-O=CNHCD2CH=CH2)(CO)10 clusters was studied by1H,2H, and13C NMR spectroscopy. Neither μ-D nor ND groups in the deuterated complexes are directly involved in prototropic processes of allylic rearrangement. Initially, the deuterium atom of the CD2 group migrates to the ψ-carbon atom of the allyl fragment to form the −CD=CH-CH2D propenyl moiety, in which the deuterium and hydrogen atoms are gradually redistributed between the ψ-and β-carbon atoms. The triosmium cluster complexes containing the bridging carboxamide ligands O=CNRR' catalyze the allylic rearrangement ofN-allylacetamide. Based on the data obtained, the probable scheme of the allylic rearrangements in clusters1 and2 was proposed. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
