Differential cross sections for the 7Li(α, n)10B reaction have been measured at lab angles of 0°, 20°, 31°, 50°, 60°, 70°, 80°, 90°, 100° and 114° for α-particle energies between 4.385 and 5.1 MeV. A thick natural lithium target was bombarded with a 5.2 MeV, nanosecond-pulsed 4He+ beam and neutron velocity spectra at each angle were measured by time-of-flight techniques. These data have been converted to cross sections at 10 keV intervals in α-particle energy. Angular distributions have been fitted with a series of Legendre polynomials. Angle-integrated cross sections, the 0° excitation function, and angular distributions are compared to past measurements and R-matrix calculations.  相似文献

The differential cross sections of the reaction γp→π0p have been measured at photon energies between 390 MeV and 975 MeV with an energy step of 20 or 25 MeV. The angular region covers 11 angles between 15° and 130° in the c.m.s. A combination of a magnetic spectrometer and photon detector was used for the measurement in the angular region from 50° to 130°. At forward angles of 15°, 35° and 50°, π0 mesons were detected using a π0 detector consisting of a pair of photon detectors. The data obtained with two different detection systems overlap at the angle of 50° and coincide with each other within the experimental error. The results are compared with those of phenomenological partial-wave analyses.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of proton Compton scattering have been measured at the Bonn 2.5 GeV synchrotron. 78 data points are presented as angular distributions at photon lab energies of 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, and 950MeV. The c.m. scattering angle ranges from 40°–130°, corresponding to a variation of the four momentum transfer squared betweent=?0.10 tot=?0.96 GeV2 at 700 and 950 MeV, respectively. Two additional differential cross sections have been measured at 1000MeV, 35.6° and 47.4°. The angular distributions show forward peaks whose extrapolations to 0° are consistent with calculated forward cross sections taken from literature. The small angle data (|t| ?0.2 GeV2) together with the calculated cross sections at 0° are also consistent with the assumption of a slope parameterB of 5 GeV?2. For the first time a rerise of the angular distributions towards backward angles has been observed. It becomes less steep with increasing energy. The most interesting feature of the angular distributions is a sharp structure which appears betweent=?0.55 GeV2 at 700MeV andt=?0.72 GeV2 at 950 MeV. Such a rapid varation of the differential cross section witht has never been ovserved in elastic hadron-hadron scattering or photoproduction processes. It indicates the existence of a dynamical mechanism which could be a peculiarity of Compton scattering.  相似文献

We have measured the double differential cross section for bremsstrahlung production in neutron-proton collisions near 130 MeV. Outgoing nucleons were detected at eight pairs of angles simultaneously. The cross sections agree with several theoretical predictions for those four angle pairs in which the proton emerged at 20° (θ = 20°), but are larger than expected in the four cases that θp = 32°. The method of data reduction, and the sources of uncertainty, are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for elastic scattering of pions by deuterons have been measured for centre-of-mass angles between 130° and 175°, and at laboratory energies 141, 177, and 260 MeV for π+, and at 151, 185, and 189 MeV for π?. At 177 and 260 MeV the cross sections are a factor of 2 lower than the predictions of three-body theories.  相似文献

Double-differential cross sections for neutron production were measured by the time-of-flight method for the interactions between carbon nuclei of energy 2 GeV per nucleon and carbon, aluminum, copper, cadmium, and lead nuclei. These measurements were performed for angles of 30°, 53°, and 90° in the neutron-energy range fromseveral hundred keVunits to 300MeV. The phenomenologicalmodel of four moving sources was used as a basis in analyzing experimental results and in estimating the contribution to neutron emission from various reaction stages. The temperature parameters determined from the slope of the neutron energy spectra proved to be 22 ± 2 MeV for a hot source (fireball) and 4.5 ± 0.3 MeV for the stage of thermal fragmentation of highly excited heavy nuclear residues. The relative contribution of these two sources to the total neutron yield is independent of the type of the target nucleus and is about 42%, on average.  相似文献

The cross section of4He for elastic electron scattering has been measured relative to that of the proton using a gas target with helium, hydrogen or a mixture of both gases. Scattering angles were between 56° and 130°, and the energy varied from 30 to 59 MeV. A model independent rms charge radius of (1.63 ± 0.04) fm has been evaluated for the α-particle.  相似文献

The 14.8 MeV neutron elastic scattering differential cross sections of U, Pb, Hg, Ta, Sn and Al have been measured for angles extending from 10° down to 1.8° and for U and Pb down to 0.35°. Nuclear cross sections extrapolated to 0° have been compared with the Wick limit. The U nuclear cross sections did not rise as sharply toward 0°, and were not in as serious disagreement with the spherical optical model, as in earlier measurements. Differential cross sections for the reactions 3He(γ, p)d and 4He(γ, p)t were measured at proton c.m. angles of 60° and 90° for photon energies ranging from 150–450 MeV with an average resolution of 8 MeV. Bremsstrahlung was used as the photon source; deuterons/tritons were analyzed in a magnetic spectrometer whereas coincident protons were detected in a plastic scintillator telescope. The experimental method includes a calibration by means of 1H(γ, π0)p differential cross section measurement at 90° c.m. in the same photon energy range. The 3He and 4He two-body photodisintegration differential cross sections show a monotonically decreasing variation with photon energy. In addition, partial data on the differential cross section of the reaction 4He(γ, n)τ at 90° and 120° neutron c.m. angle are given.  相似文献

The3He(γ, p)d reaction has been measured in the photon energy region between 200 MeV and 450 MeV at proton c.m. angles between 20° and 150°. Protons and deuterons were detected in coincidence with two time-of-flight spectrometers consisting of scintillation counters; both particles were identified and their energies and angles were measured. The angular distributions show a strong forward peak. The differential cross sections fall off with increasing photon energy without showing a significant influence of theΔ resonance.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for the deuteron photodisintegration process were measured for photon energies between 200 and 440 MeV using the tagged photon beam facility of the Bonn 500 MeV synchrotron. At eight angles between 18° and 145° charged particles were detected simultaneously in time-of-flight spectrometers consisting of scintillation counters. Above the resonance region the measured cross sections agree fairly well with earlier results, whereas there are larger discrepancies at low photon energies.  相似文献

Alpha-gamma angular correlations have been measured for the reaction 24Mg(α, α'γ) in the energy range 15.50 to 17.00 MeV in steps of 300 keV and for 28Si(α, α'γ) from 15.00 to 16.20 MeV in steps of 200 keV to provide energy averaged results. The scattered α-particles were detected for lab angles θα = 115°–178° in a multidetector arrangement. The coincident γ-rays were observed with a Ge(Li) detector placed at 90° in the reaction plane. Data were obtained for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd excited states of 24Mg and for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th excited states of 28Si. The absolute doubledifferential cross sections were analysed with Hauser-Feshbach calculations. The analyses show that compound nuclear processes are responsible for the rise of backward α-scattering in 24Mg(α, α'γ)24Mg and 28Si(α, α'γ)28Si at the energy studied.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for coherent π0-photoproduction from deuterium have been measured in the photon energy range from 240 to 400 MeV and for pion c.m. angles between 70 ° and 160 °. The recoil deuterons were analysed in angle and momentum by a magnetic spectrometer. The cross sections obtained were higher by a factor of about 2 compared with the results from Stanford [7], the only data available up to now in the first resonance region. Below the resonance the measured cross sections give a smooth extension to the low energy data from Glasgow [5] and Orsay [6].  相似文献

The proton Compton effectγ+p→γ+p in theΔ (1232) energy region has been thoroughly studied. At the Bonn 500 MeV synchrotron differential cross sections were measured covering a large range of the CM scattering angle (50°≦θγ≦130°) and an energy range from 240 to 440 MeV (LAB energy of the primary photon). A contribution to the counting rate from the competing process ofπ 0 photoproduction was strongly suppressed by detecting both particles in the final state and by a proper choice of the endpoint energy of the gamma ray beam. The remaining contribution was monitored experimentally. The measured data were complemented by cross sections at 0° which were computed from the totalγ p cross sections with an input from a multipole analysis of single pion photoproduction. Preliminary results of this experiment have been published in Lett. Nuovo Cimento. In the meantime the experimental data were reanalyzed. The final data presented here are larger than the preliminary ones by about 15%.  相似文献

We report new measurements of the neutron–deuteron elastic scattering cross section at energies from 135 to 250 MeV and center-of-mass angles from 80? to 130?. Cross sections for neutron-proton elastic scattering were also measured with the same experimental setup for normalization purposes. Our nd cross section results are compared with predictions based on Faddeev calculations including three-nucleon forces, and with cross sections measured with charged particle and neutron beams at comparable energies.  相似文献

The energy spectra and angular distributions of proton emission in the reaction of natNi(n,xp) at neutron energy 14.6 MeV have been measured by the USTC multitelescope system. The double-differential cross sections of 16 reaction angles from 25° to 164.5° have been obtained in this measurement. The statistical error can be reduced because of the thicktarget used. The angular distributions show a slightly energy-dependent forward-backward asymmetry. The angle-integrated proton spectrum is compared with ENDF/B-VI evaluation and Grimes' result. The total p-emission cross section is in fair agreement with prediction and evaluation.  相似文献

Double-differential cross sections (energy spectra) for proton and deuteron emission in fast neutron induced reactions on oxygen are reported for nine incident neutron energies between 25 and 65 MeV. Angular distributions were measured at 15 laboratory angles between 20° and 160°. Procedures for data taking and data reduction are presented. Deduced energy-differential, angle-differential and total cross sections are also reported. Experimental cross sections are compared with existing data and with theoretical model calculations. The 3He spin analysing power of hydrogen (protons) has been measured at a c.m. energy of 20 MeV at 14 c.m. angles from 40° to 160°. The measurement of 3He target polarization was calibrated by measuring the 3He spin analysing power of 4He at an energy and angle where it was ?1.00. The proton-3He differential elastic scattering cross section is also reported at a c.m. energy of 20.0 MeV for 36 c.m. angles from 20° to 170°.  相似文献

High resolution measurements of the (γ, n), (γ, 2n), (γ, p), (γ, np) and (γ, 2p) cross sections of 40Ar over a photon energy range of 10 to 28 MeV are reported. From this data, the total photon absorption cross section integrated to 26 MeV is found to be 434 ± 40 MeV mb. The results of a dynamic collective model (DCM) calculation compare favourably with the photoabsorption cross section, supporting the use of the DCM in this mass region. It is confirmed that isospin plays an important role in the decay of the 40Ar giant dipole resonance.  相似文献
