In this paper, we study a nonlocal diffusion equation with a general diffusion kernel and delayed nonlinearity, and obtain the existence, nonexistence and uniqueness of the regular traveling wave solutions for this nonlocal diffusion equation. As an application of the results, we reconsider some models arising from population dynamics, epidemiology and neural network. It is shown that there exist regular traveling wave solutions for these models, respectively. This generalized and improved some results in literatures.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic stability of positive steady-states for a nonlocal dispersal equation arising from selection–migration models in genetics. Due to the lack of compactness and regularity of the nonlocal operators, many classical methods cannot be used directly to the nonlocal dispersal problems. This motivates us to find new techniques. We first establish a criterion on the stability and instability of steady-states. This result is effective to get a necessary condition to guarantee a positive steady-state, it also gives the uniqueness. Then we prove the existence of nontrivial solutions by the corresponding auxiliary equations and maximum principle. Finally, we consider the dynamic behavior of the initial value problem.  相似文献

A diffusive Lotka–Volterra competition model with nonlocal intraspecific and interspecific competition between species is formulated and analyzed. The nonlocal competition strength is assumed to be determined by a diffusion kernel function to model the movement pattern of the biological species. It is shown that when there is no nonlocal intraspecific competition, the dynamics properties of nonlocal diffusive competition problem are similar to those of classical diffusive Lotka–Volterra competition model regardless of the strength of nonlocal interspecific competition. Global stability of nonnegative constant equilibria are proved using Lyapunov or upper–lower solution methods. On the other hand, strong nonlocal intraspecific competition increases the system spatiotemporal dynamic complexity. For the weak competition case, the nonlocal diffusive competition model may possess nonconstant positive equilibria for some suitably large nonlocal intraspecific competition coefficients.  相似文献

This paper mainly focuses on the entire solutions of a nonlocal dispersal equation with asymmetric kernel and bistable nonlinearity. Compared with symmetric case, the asymmetry of the dispersal kernel function makes more diverse types of entire solutions since it can affect the sign of the wave speeds and the symmetry of the corresponding nonincreasing and nondecreasing traveling waves. We divide the bistable case into two monostable cases by restricting the range of the variable, and obtain some merging-front entire solutions which behave as the coupling of monostable and bistable waves. Before this, we characterize the classification of the wave speeds so that the entire solutions can be constructed more clearly. Especially, we investigate the influence of the asymmetry of the kernel on the minimal and maximal wave speeds.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions of a nonlocal dispersal equation. By means of super-subsolution method and monotone iteration, we first study the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions for a general nonlocal dispersal equation. Then, we apply these results to our equation and show that the nonnegative solution is unique, and the behavior of this solution depends on parameter λ in equation. For λλ1(Ω), the solution decays to zero as t; while for λ>λ1(Ω), the solution converges to the unique positive stationary solution as t. In addition, we show that the solution blows up under some conditions.  相似文献

Cauchy problem for fractional diffusion equations   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
We consider an evolution equation with the regularized fractional derivative of an order α∈(0,1) with respect to the time variable, and a uniformly elliptic operator with variable coefficients acting in the spatial variables. Such equations describe diffusion on inhomogeneous fractals. A fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem is constructed and investigated.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, uniqueness and globally asymptotic stability of traveling wave fronts in the quasi-monotone reaction advection diffusion equations with nonlocal delay. Under bistable assumption, we construct various pairs of super- and subsolutions and employ the comparison principle and the squeezing technique to prove that the equation has a unique nondecreasing traveling wave front (up to translation), which is monotonically increasing and globally asymptotically stable with phase shift. The influence of advection on the propagation speed is also considered. Comparing with the previous results, our results recovers and/or improves a number of existing ones. In particular, these results can be applied to a reaction advection diffusion equation with nonlocal delayed effect and a diffusion population model with distributed maturation delay, some new results are obtained.  相似文献

We study a nonlocal diffusion operator in a bounded smooth domain prescribing the flux through the boundary. This problem may be seen as a generalization of the usual Neumann problem for the heat equation. First, we prove existence, uniqueness and a comparison principle. Next, we study the behavior of solutions for some prescribed boundary data including blowing up ones. Finally, we look at a nonlinear flux boundary condition.  相似文献

We study a nonlocal diffusion model analogous to heat equation with Neumann boundary conditions. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions and a comparison principle. Furthermore, we analyze the asymptotic behavior of the solutions as the temporal variable goes to infinity and the boundary datum depends only on a spacial variable.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the traveling waves in a single species population model which is derived by considering the nonlocal dispersal and age-structure. If the birth function is monotone, then the existence of traveling wavefront is reduced to the existence of a pair of super and subsolutions without the requirement of smoothness. It is proved that the traveling wavefront is strictly increasing and unique up to a translation. The asymptotic behavior of traveling wavefronts is also obtained. If the birth function is not monotone, the existence of traveling wave solution is affirmed by introducing two auxiliary nonlocal dispersal equations with quasi-monotonicity.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the stability and Hopf bifurcation in a general class of differential equation with nonlocal delayed feedback that models the population dynamics of a two age structured spices. The existence of Hopf bifurcation is firstly established after delicately analyzing the eigenvalue problem of the linearized nonlocal equation. The direction of the Hopf bifurcation and stability of the bifurcated periodic solutions are then investigated by means of center manifold reduction. Subsequently, we apply our main results to explore the spatial‐temporal patterns of the nonlocal Mackey‐Glass equation. We obtain both spatially homogeneous and inhomogeneous periodic solutions and numerically show that the former is stable while the latter is unstable. We also show that the inhomogeneous periodic solutions will eventually tend to homogeneous periodic solutions after transient oscillations and increasing of the immature mobility constant will shorten the transient oscillation time.  相似文献

The reaction–diffusion equations with initial condition and nonlocal boundary conditions are discussed in this article. A reproducing kernel space is constructed, in which an arbitrary function satisfies the initial condition and nonlocal boundary conditions of the reaction‐diffusion equations. Based on the reproducing kernel space, a new algorithm for solving the reaction–diffusion equations with initial condition and nonlocal boundary conditions is presented. Some examples are displayed to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed method. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq, 2009  相似文献

We analyze boundary value problems prescribing Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions for a nonlocal nonlinear diffusion operator which is analogous to the porous medium equation in a bounded smooth domain ΩRN with N≥1. First, we prove existence and uniqueness of solutions and the validity of a comparison principle for these problems. Next, we impose boundary data that blow up in finite time and study the behavior of the solutions.  相似文献

Fractional (nonlocal) diffusion equations replace the integer-order derivatives in space and time by their fractional-order analogs and they are used to model anomalous diffusion, especially in physics. In this paper, we study a backward problem for an inhomogeneous time-fractional diffusion equation with variable coefficients in a general bounded domain. Such a backward problem is of practically great importance because we often do not know the initial density of substance, but we can observe the density at a positive moment. The backward problem is ill-posed and we propose a regularizing scheme by using Tikhonov regularization method. We also prove the convergence rate for the regularized solution by using an a priori regularization parameter choice rule. Numerical examples illustrate applicability and high accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, asymptotic stability and uniqueness of traveling wavefronts in a nonlocal diffusion equation with delay. By constructing proper upper and lower solutions, the existence and asymptotic behavior of traveling wavefronts are established. Then the asymptotic stability with phase shift as well as the uniqueness up to translation of traveling wavefronts are proved by applying the idea of squeezing technique.  相似文献

We understand an image as binary grey ‘alloy’ of a black and a white component and use a nonlocal phase separation model to describe image segmentation. The model consists in a degenerate nonlinear parabolic equation with a nonlocal drift term additionally to the familiar Perona-Malik model. We formulate conditions for the model parameters to guarantee global existence of a unique solution that tends exponentially in time to a unique steady state. This steady state is solution of a nonlocal nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem and allows a variational characterization. Numerical examples demonstrate the properties of the model.Dedicated to Klaus Kirchgässner on the occasion of his 70th birthdayReceived: November 12, 2002; revised: April 8, 2003  相似文献

In this paper, we study the blow-up profiles of the nonlocal dispersal equation. More precisely, we prove that the positive solution of nonlocal dispersal equation has different blow-up profiles, depending on the refuge domain.  相似文献

The current paper is devoted to the study of spatial spreading dynamics of monostable equations with nonlocal dispersal in spatially periodic habitats. In particular, the existence and characterization of spreading speeds is considered. First, a principal eigenvalue theory for nonlocal dispersal operators with space periodic dependence is developed, which plays an important role in the study of spreading speeds of nonlocal periodic monostable equations and is also of independent interest. In terms of the principal eigenvalue theory it is then shown that the monostable equation with nonlocal dispersal has a spreading speed in every direction in the following cases: the nonlocal dispersal is nearly local; the periodic habitat is nearly globally homogeneous or it is nearly homogeneous in a region where it is most conducive to population growth in the zero-limit population. Moreover, a variational principle for the spreading speeds is established.  相似文献
