The Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anion, which consists of a tetrahedrally coordinated Cu(I) centre coordinated to four sulfur atoms, is able to act as a multidentate ligand in discrete and infinite supramolecular species. The slow oxidation of an aqueous solution of Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) yields a mixed oxidation state, 2D network of composition Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O. The addition of Cu(II) and 2,2'-bipyridine to an aqueous Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) solution leads to the formation of a pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(+); a combination of hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking interactions leads to the generation of infinite parallel channels that are occupied by disordered nitrate anions and water molecules. A pair of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anions each act as a tridentate ligand towards a single Mn(II) centre when Mn(II) ions are combined with an excess of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-). An anionic pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)} is formed when Fe(II) is added to a Cu(+)/SO(3)(2-) solution. Hydrated ferrous [Fe(H(2)O)(6)(2+)] and sodium ions act as counterions for the complexes and are responsible for the formation of an extensive hydrogen bond network within the crystal. Magnetic susceptibility studies over the temperature range 2-300 K show that weak ferromagnetic coupling occurs within the Cu(II) containing chains of Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O, while zero coupling exists in the pentanuclear cluster {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(NO(3))·H(2)O. Weak Mn(II)-O-S-O-Mn(II) antiferromagnetic coupling occurs in Na(H(2)O)(6){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)][Mn(II)(H(2)O)(2)](3)}, the latter formed when Mn was in excess during synthesis. The compound, Na(3)(H(2)O)(6)[Fe(II)(H(2)O)(6)](2){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)}·H(2)O, contained trace magnetic impurities that affected the expected magnetic behaviour.  相似文献

Two novel 3d-4d heterometallic coordination polymers {[Cu(3)(bipy)(3)(H(2)O)(5)][Ag(6)(mna)(6)]·11.5H(2)O}(n) (1) and {[Zn(3)(eda)(3)(H(2)O)(4)][Ag(6)(mna)(6)]·8H(2)O}(n) (2) were synthesized based on a hexanuclear silver(I) metalloligand by a three-step synthetic method (bipy = 2, 2'-bipyridine, eda = ethylenediamine and H(2)mna = 2-mercaptonicotinic acid). The photoluminescence behaviors of 1 and 2 were also discussed.  相似文献

Reactions of a Pt(II)-diimine-based metalloligand Na(2)[Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)] (4,4'-H(2)dcbpy = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine) with alkaline-earth metal salts Mg(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O, CaCl(2), SrCl(2)·6H(2)O, and BaBr(2)·2H(2)O in aqueous solution gave luminescent complexes formulated as [Mg(H(2)O)(5)][Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)]·4H(2)O (MgPt-4·9H(2)O), {[Ca(H(2)O)(3)][Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)]·3H(2)O}(∞) (CaPt-4·6H(2)O), {[Sr(H(2)O)(2)][Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)]·H(2)O}(∞) (SrPt-4·3H(2)O), and {[Ba(H(2)O)(2)][Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)]·3H(2)O}(∞) (BaPt-4·5H(2)O), respectively. The crystal structures of all MPt-4 complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. In these structures, the alkaline-earth metal ions are commonly coordinated to the carboxyl groups of the [Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)](2-) metalloligand. In the case of MgPt-4·9H(2)O, the Mg(II) ion is bound by five water molecules and one oxygen atom of a carboxyl group to form a neutral complex molecule [Mg(H(2)O)(5)][Pt(CN)(2)(4,4'-dcbpy)]. In contrast, the alkaline-earth metal ion and metalloligand form two-dimensional (CaPt-4·6H(2)O) and three-dimensional (SrPt-4·3H(2)O and BaPt-4·5H(2)O) coordination networks, respectively. All fully hydrated complexes exhibited a strong phosphorescence from the triplet π-π* transition state. Luminescence spectroscopy revealed that MgPt-4·9H(2)O exhibited interesting multichromic (i.e., thermo-, mechano-, and vapochromic) luminescence, whereas CaPt-4·6H(2)O showed only thermochromic luminescence. The other two complexes did not exhibit any chromic behaviour. Combination analysis of powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, and IR spectroscopy suggests that the dimensionality of the coordination network contributes considerably to both the structural flexibility and luminescence properties; that is, the low-dimensional flexible coordination network formed in MPt-4 complexes with smaller alkaline-earth metal ions enables a structural rearrangement induced by thermal and mechanical stimuli and vapour adsorption, resulting in the observed multichromic behaviour.  相似文献

Reaction of 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,4-H(2)BDC) with EuCl(3).6H(2)O in MeOH in the presence of Et(3)N and MeCN gives a mixture of the 3-D metal-organic-framework (MOF) materials [Eu(2)(1,4-BDC)(3)(MeOH)(4)].8MeOH () and 2-D [Eu(1,4-BDC)(MeOH)(4)].Cl.MeOH.0.25H(2)O (). Reaction of 1,4-H(2)BDC with Ln(NO(3))(3).6H(2)O under similar conditions gave [Ln(BDC)NO(3)(MeOH)(2)].MeCN.H(2)O (Ln = Eu () and Gd ()), which have 2-D framework structures. The structures of were determined by single crystal X-ray crystallographic studies and the luminescence properties of and in DMF solution were determined.  相似文献

Utilizing 3,5-bis(x-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (x-Hpytz, x = 3; x = 4) as multidentate ligands, six novel coordination polymers with Zn(II) or Cd(II) metal ions were prepared: [Zn(3-pytz)(0.5)(OH)(0.5)Cl](n) (1, 1D ladder), {[Zn(3-Hpytz)(H(2)O)(4)] [Zn(3-Hpytz)(H(2)O)(3)·SO(4)]SO(4)·5H(2)O}(n) (2·5H(2)O, 1D chain), [Cd(3-Hpytz)(SO(4))](n) (3, 3D framework), {[Cd(3-Hyptz)SO(4)·3H(2)O]·2H(2)O}(n) (4·2H(2)O, 1D chain), [Zn(4-pytz)Cl](n) (5, 3D framework) and [Zn(2)(4-pytz)(SO(4))(OH)](n) (6, 3D framework). All compounds were obtained from hydrothermal reactions, with the exception of compound 4 which was obtained by solvent diffusion at room temperature. All compounds were characterized by FTIR, elemental analysis and TGA analysis and their structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. All compounds exhibited substantial thermal stability and showed photofluorescent properties that resulted from ligand π-π* transition.  相似文献

Six new coordination polymers, namely {[Zn(btec)(0.5)(btmb)]·2H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Co(btec)(0.5)(btmb)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O}(n) (2), {[Cu(btec)(0.5)(btmb)]·H(2)O}(n) (3), {[Cu(4)(btc)(4)(btmb)(4)]·H(2)O}(n) (4), {[Co(3)(bta)(2)(btmb)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n) (5), [Co(Hbta)(btmb)](n) (6) (H(4)btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate, H(3)btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate, H(3)bta = 1,2,4-benzenetricarboxylate and btmb = 4,4'-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)biphenyl), have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. All these complexes were structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR, TGA and XRD. Crystal structural analysis reveals that 1 is the first example of an unusual 3D framework with (8(6)) topology containing a 2D molecular fabric structure. Complex 2 exhibits a 3D NbO network with (6(4)·8(2)) topology. In 3, Cu(II) ions are coordinated by anti-conformational btmb ligands to form left- and right-handed double helices, which are further bridged by the 4-connected btec(4-) anions to give a 3D porous network. Complex 4 presents a rare 3D gra network structure with (6(3))(6(9)·8) topology. 5 and 6 were obtained through controllable pH values of solution, 5 features a scarce binodal (3,8)-connected tfz-d framework with the trinuclear Co(II) clusters acting as nodes, whereas 6 has an extended 2D 4(4) grid-like layer and the adjacent 2D layers are interconnected by strong hydrogen bonding interactions into a 3D supramolecular framework. The structural diversities indicate that distinct organic acid ligands, the nature of metal ions and the pH value play crucial roles in modulating the formation of the resulting coordination complexes and the connectivity of the ultimate topological nets. Moreover, magnetic susceptibility measurement of 5 indicates the presence of weak ferromagnetic interactions between the Co(II) ions bridged by carboxylate groups.  相似文献

{[Cu(6)(TTTMB)(8)(OH)(4)(H(2)O)(6)]·8(NO(3))·34.5H(2)O}(n) can reversibly transform to {[Cu(6)(TTTMB)(8)I(3)]·9I·26H(2)O}(n) upon a single crystal to single crystal process. The transformation is accompanied by the formation of weak Cu(2+)I(-) interactions and changes in the coordination numbers, as well as modulation in their properties.  相似文献

An uncommon butterfly-like tetranuclear copper(ii) cluster with the formula {[Cu(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(μ(4)-Cl)(H(2)O)(2)(L)(2)]·Cl(H(2)O)(7)}(n) (1) (H(2)L = 1,2-bis[3-(1,2,4-triazolyl)-4-amino-5-carboxylmethylthio]ethane) has been synthesized. Compound 1 exhibits interesting anion exchange characteristics, in which both guest and coordinated Cl(-) can be replaced by I(-) or NO(3)(-) in water. Furthermore, a high catalytic selectivity to produce poly(phenylene ether) by the oxidative coupling of 2,6-dimethylphenol in water is found to be 74% for 1 and 87% for the anion-exchanged product 1-MI(x), respectively. Additionally, the antiferromagnetic interaction among Cu ions for compound 1 is also found.  相似文献

A sulfonate-carboxylate ligand, 4,8-disulfonyl-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (H(4)-DSNDA), and eight new lanthanide coordination polymers {[Pr(4)(OH)(4)(DSNDA)(2)(H(2)O)(12)](H(2)O)(10)}(n) (1), [Ln(H(2)-DSNDA)(0.5)(DSNDA)(0.5)(H(2)O)(5)](n) (Ln = La(2), Nd(3), Sm(4), Eu(5), Gd(6), and Dy(7)), and {[Er(H-DSNDA)(H(2)O)(4)](H(2)O)}(n) (8) have been synthesized. Detailed crystal structures of these compounds have been investigated. Compound 1 has a 3D framework featuring the unique cubane-shaped [Pr(4)(μ(3)-OH)(4)] clusters and is a binodal 4,8-connected network with (4(16)·6(12))(4(4)·6(2))(2) topology. Compounds 2-7 are isostructural and have 2D layered structures. Compound 8 is also a 2D layer but belongs to different structural types. The luminescence behavior of compound Eu(5) shows that the π-rich aromatic organic ligands efficiently transfer the absorbed light energy to the Eu(III) ions, thus enhancing the overall luminescent properties of compound Eu(5). The magnetic properties of all compounds except for the diamagnetic La(2) compound have been investigated. In addition, elemental analysis, IR spectra, and thermogravimetric analysis of these compounds are also described.  相似文献

Starting with the same precursors, pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylate (pyrdc) and 4,4'-bipyridyl (bipy), two 3D porous coordination polymers, {[Cu(bipy)(0.5)(pyrdc)]·3H(2)O} (1) and {[Cu(bipy)(0.5)(pyrdc)]·0.5bipy·3H(2)O} (2), have been synthesized by changing the solvent system from MeOH/H(2)O to EtOH/H(2)O. Single-crystal structure analysis revealed that 1 and 2 are supramolecular isomers with 3D pillared-layer structures having 1D channel systems. Isomer 1 has a flexible structure and shows gated adsorption behavior, while framework 2 has a rigid backbone and exhibits the adsorption properties of typical microporous materials.  相似文献

Reactions of a gold(i) thiolate complex [Au(Tab)(2)](2)(PF(6))(2) (Tab = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiolate) with equimolar 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane (dppe), 1,3-bis-(diphenylphosphine)propane (dppp) or 1,4-bis-(diphenylphosphine)butane (dppb) in MeOH-DMF-CH(2)Cl(2) gave rise to three polymeric complexes [Au(2)(Tab)(2)(dppe)](2)(PF(6))(4)·2MeOH (1·2MeOH), [Au(2)(Tab)(2)(dppp)]Cl(2)·0.5MeOH·4H(2)O (2·0.5MeOH·4H(2)O), and [Au(4)(μ-Tab)(2)(Tab)(2)(dppb)](PF(6))(4)·4DMF (3·4DMF), respectively. Analogous reaction of 1 with dppb in DMF/C(2)H(4)Cl(2) produced one tetranuclear complex [Au(2)(μ-Tab)(Tab)(2)](2)Cl(4)·2DMF·4H(2)O (4·2DMF·4H(2)O). Complexes 1-4 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-vis spectra, (1)H and (31)P{(1)H} NMR and single crystal X-ray analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 consist of [Au(Tab)](2) dimeric fragments that are bridged by dppe or dppp ligands to form a 1D linear chain extending along the a axis. For 3, each [Au(4)(Tab)(2)(μ-Tab)(2)] fragment is linked by a pair of dppb ligands to afford another 1D chain extending along the c axis. For 4, the four [Au(Tab)](+) fragments are linked by two Au-Au bonds and two doubly bridging Tab ligands to form a {[Au(Tab)](4)(μ-Tab)(2)} chair-like cyclohexane structure. Hydrogen-bonding interactions in 2 and 4 lead to the formation of interesting 2D hydrogen-bonded networks. The luminescent properties of 1-4 in solid state were also investigated.  相似文献

Six supramolecular compounds constructed by main group and transition metals, polyoxotungstates (SiW(12)O(40)(4-)) and trans-N,N,N',N'-1,2-cyclohexanediaminotetraacetic acid (H(4)CyDTA), (NH(4))(3)[Ni(4)Na(H(2)O)(10)(CyDTA)(2)][SiW(12)O(40)]·10H(2)O (1) (NH(4))(2)[Cu(3)Na(2)(HCyDTA)(2)(H(2)O)(13)][SiW(12)O(40)]·5H(2)O (2), (NH(4))(2)[Zn(5)(CyDTA)(2)(H(2)O)(16)][SiW(12)O(40)]·8H(2)O (3), (NH(4))(4)[Cd(4)(CyDTA)(2)(H(2)O)(8)][SiW(12)O(40)]·6H(2)O (4), (NH(4))(4)[Sr(3)(HCyDTA)(2)(H(2)O)(14)][SiW(12)O(40)]·2H(2)O (5) and [Ca(4)(H(2)CyDTA)(2)(H(2)O)(22)][SiW(12)O(40)]·8H(2)O (6), were synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Single-crystal structure analyses indicate they are constructed by the complexes with different nuclearity and polyoxometalates. In the sequence of Ni, Cu, Zn the nuclearity of the homometallic complex units increases from 2 to 5. Cadmium ions gives a tetranuclear complex with a compact structure. In 5 and 6 the main group metal ions and CyDTA form polymeric chains. CyDTA exhibits rather different coordination patterns to main group metal ions and transition metal ions due to their ionic radii and electronic configuration. The complex units and polyoxometalates arrange in different patterns due to the different shapes of the complex units. The compounds exhibit different thermal decomposition processes and the formation of compounds 3 and 4 quenches ligand-centered emissions and gives a ligand-to-metal emission. The study on various temperature susceptibilities of 1 and 2 shows that there is an antiferromagnetic coupling in the two compounds but coupling patterns are different.  相似文献

Reactions of [W(CN)(8)](3-/4-) anions with complexes of Mn(2+) ion with tridentate organic ligand 2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tptz) lead to a series of heterobimetallic complexes. The crystal structures of these compounds are derived from the same basic structural fragment, namely a W(2)Mn(2) square constructed of alternating cyanide-bridged W and Mn ions. In [Mn(II)(tptz)(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)](2){[Mn(II)(tptz)(MeOH)(1.58)(H(2)O)(0.42)](2)[W(V)(CN)(8)](2)}.5 MeOH.9.85 H(2)O (3), isolated molecular squares are co-crystallized with mononuclear cationic Mn(II) complexes. The structure of {[Mn(II)(tptz)(MeOH)](2)[W(IV)(CN)(8)].2 MeOH}(infinity) (4) is based on an infinite chain of vertex-sharing squares, while {[Mn(II) (2)(tptz)(2)(MeOH)(3)(OAc)][W(V)(CN)(8)].3.5 MeOH0.25 H(2)O}(infinity) (5) and {[Mn(II) (2)(tptz)(2)(MeOH)(3)W(V)(CN)(8)][Mn(II)(tptz)(MeOH)W(V)(CN)(8)].2 H(2).OMeOH}(8) (7) are derived from such an infinite chain by removing one of the W-C[triple bond]N-Mn linkages in each of the squares. The decanuclear cluster [Mn(II) (6)(tptz)(6)(MeOH)(4)(DMF)(2)W(V) (4)(CN)(32)].8.2 H(2)O.2.3 MeOH (6) is a truncated version of structure 4 and consists of three vertex-sharing W(2)Mn(2) squares. The structure of [Mn(II)(tptz)(MeOH)(NO(3))](2)[Mn(II)(tptz)(MeOH) (DMF)](2)[W(V)(CN)(8)](2).6 MeOH (8) consists of a hexanuclear cluster, in which the central W(2)Mn(2) square is extended by two Mn side-arms attached via CN(-) ligands to the W corners of the square. The magnetic behavior of these heterobimetallic complexes (except for 4) is dominated by antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) and W(V) ions mediated by cyanide bridges. Compounds 3, 6, and 8 exhibit high spin ground states of S=4, 13, and 9, respectively, while 5 and 7 exhibit behavior typical of a ferrimagnetic chain with alternating spin centers. Complex 4 contains diamagnetic W(IV) centers but holds promise as a potential photomagnetic solid.  相似文献

To tune the lanthanide luminescence in related molecular structures, we synthesized and characterized a series of lanthanide complexes with imidazole-based ligands: two tripodal ligands, tris{[2-{(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (Me(3)L), and tris{[2-{(imidazol-4-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (H(3)L), and the dipodal ligand bis{[2-{(imidazol-4-yl)methylidene}amino]ethyl}amine (H(2)L). The general formulas are [Ln(Me(3)L)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(3)·3H(2)O (Ln = 3+ lanthanide ion: Sm (1), Eu (2), Gd (3), Tb (4), and Dy (5)), [Ln(H(3)L)(NO(3))](NO(3))(2)·MeOH (Ln(3+) = Sm (6), Eu (7), Gd (8), Tb (9), and Dy (10)), and [Ln(H(2)L)(NO(3))(2)(MeOH)](NO(3))·MeOH (Ln(3+) = Sm (11), Eu (12), Gd (13), Tb (14), and Dy (15)). Each lanthanide ion is 9-coordinate in the complexes with the Me(3)L and H(3)L ligands and 10-coordinate in the complexes with the H(2)L ligand, in which counter anion and solvent molecules are also coordinated. The complexes show a screw arrangement of ligands around the lanthanide ions, and their enantiomorphs form racemate crystals. Luminescence studies have been carried out on the solid and solution-state samples. The triplet energy levels of Me(3)L, H(3)L, and H(2)L are 21?000, 22?700, and 23?000 cm(-1), respectively, which were determined from the phosphorescence spectra of their Gd(3+) complexes. The Me(3)L ligand is an effective sensitizer for Sm(3+) and Eu(3+) ions. Efficient luminescence of Sm(3+), Eu(3+), Tb(3+), and Dy(3+) ions was observed in complexes with the H(3)L and H(2)L ligands. Ligand modification by changing imidazole groups alters their triplet energy, and results in different sensitizing ability towards lanthanide ions.  相似文献

Detailed structural, magnetic, and luminescence studies of six different crystalline phases obtained in the lanthanide/pyrimidine-4,6-dicarboxylate/oxalate system have been afforded: {[Ln(μ-pmdc)(μ-ox)(0.5)(H(2)O)(2)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1-Ln), {[Ln(μ-pmdc)(μ-ox)(0.5)(H(2)O)(3)]·2H(2)O}(n) (2-Ln), {[Ln(μ(3)-pmdc)(μ-ox)(0.5)(H(2)O)(2)]·~2.33H(2)O}(n) (3-Ln), {[Ln(2)(μ(3)-pmdc)(μ(4)-pmdc)(μ-ox)(H(2)O)(3)]·5H(2)O}(n) (4-Ln), {[Ln(μ(3)-pmdc)(μ-ox)(0.5)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O}(n) (5-Ln), and [Ln(pmdc)(1.5)(H(2)O)(2.5)] (6-Ln). The slow generation of the oxalate (ox) anion, obtained from the in situ partial hydrothermal decomposition of the pyrimidine-4,6-dicarboxylate (pmdc) ligand, allows us to obtain good shaped single crystals, while direct addition of potassium oxalate provides the same compounds but as polycrystalline samples. The crystal structures of all compounds are based on the double chelation established by the pmdc and ox ligands to provide distorted 2D honeycomb layers that, in some cases, are fused together, leading to 3D systems, by replacing some of the coordinated water molecules that complete the coordination sphere of the lanthanide by uncoordinated carboxylate oxygen atoms of the pmdc. The presence of channels occupied by crystallization water molecules is also a common feature with the exception of compounds 5-Ln. It is worth noting that compounds 3-Ln present a commensurate crystal structure related to the partial occupancy of the crystallization water molecules placed within the channels. Topological analyses have been carried out, showing a previously nonregistered topology for compounds 4-Ln, named as jcr1. The crystal structures are strongly dependent on the lanthanide ion size and the temperature employed during the hydrothermal synthesis. The lanthanide contraction favors crystal structures involving sterically less hindranced coordination environments for the final members of the lanthanide series. Additionally, reinforcement of the entropic effects at high temperatures directs the crystallization process toward less hydrated crystal structures. The magnetic data of these compounds indicate that the exchange coupling between the lanthanide atoms is almost negligible, so the magnetic behavior is dominated by the spin-orbit coupling and the ligand field perturbation. The luminescence properties that exhibit the compounds containing Nd(III), Eu(III), and Tb(III) have been also characterized.  相似文献

Ni(6) clusters of the general formula [{Ni(3)L(n)(OAc)(OH)}(2)(X)(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)] (n = 1, 2; X = Cl(-) or N(3)(-), (L(n))(3-) = hexadentate tritopic ligands) can be isolated by spontaneous self-assembly, from mixtures of Ni(OAc)(2), H(3)L(n), NMe(4)OH·5H(2)O and NaX in adequate molar ratios. Thus, four new hexanuclear complexes [{Ni(3)L(1)(OAc)(OH)}(2)Cl(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)]·7.5H(2)O (1·7.5H(2)O), [{Ni(3)L(2)(OAc)(OH)}(2)Cl(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O·7.5MeOH (2·2H(2)O·7.5MeOH), [{Ni(3)L(1)(OAc)(OH)}(2)(N(3))(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O (3·6H(2)O) and [{Ni(3)L(2)(OAc)(OH)}(2)(N(3))(OAc)(H(2)O)(2)]·4H(2)O (4·4H(2)O) were obtained and fully characterised. 1·7.5H(2)O and 2·2H(2)O·7.5MeOH were isolated in the form of single crystals, the latter losing solvate on drying, to yield 2·2H(2)O. Recrystallisation of 3·6H(2)O in MeCN/MeOH also generates single crystals of 3·H(2)O·2MeOH·2MeCN. Their X-ray characterisation shows that these Ni(6) clusters can be considered to be built from two triangular trinuclear [Ni(3)L(n)(OAc)(OH)](+) subunits with different connectors. In addition, these studies demonstrate that the (L(n))(3-) ligands behave as trinucleating, adopting such a conformation that induces chirality in the isolated compounds. In this way, 3·H(2)O·2MeOH·2MeCN appears particularly interesting, since it emerges as homochiral after undergoing spontaneous resolution upon crystallisation. The magnetic characterisation of 1·7.5H(2)O to 3·6H(2)O reveals that the three compounds present an overall antiferromagnetic coupling. The intricate magnetic behaviour of these clusters, mediated by a total of 14 bridges of different kinds, was analysed and satisfactorily interpreted in light of DFT calculations.  相似文献

The preparation and X-ray crystal structure of four 2,2'-bipyrimidine (bpm)-containing copper(II) complexes of formula {[Cu(2)(μ-bpm)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-OH)(2)][Mn(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2)}(n) (1), {[Cu(2)(μ-bpm)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-OH)(2)]SiF(6)}(n) (2), {Cu(2)(μ-bpm)(H(2)O)(2)(μ-F)(2)F(2)}(n) (3), and [Cu(bpm)(H(2)O)(2)F(NO(3))][Cu(bpm)(H(2)O)(3)F]NO(3)·2H(2)O (4) are reported. The structures of 1-3 consist of chains of copper(II) ions with regular alternation of bis-bidentate bpm and di-μ-hydroxo (1 and 2) or di-μ-fluoro (3) groups, the electroneutrality being achieved by either hexaaqua manganese(II) cations plus uncoordinated sulfate anions (1), uncoordinated hexafluorosilicate anions (2), or terminally bound fluoride ligands (3). Each copper(II) ion in 1-4 is six-coordinated in elongated octahedral surroundings. 1 and 2 show identical, linear chain motifs with two bpm-nitrogen atoms and two hydroxo groups building the equatorial plane at each copper(II) ion and the axial position being filled by water molecules. In the case of 3, the axial sites at the copper atom are occupied by a bpm-nitrogen atom and a bis-monodentate fluoride anion, producing a "step-like" chain motif. The values of the angle at the hydroxo and fluoro bridges are 94.11(6) (1), 94.75(4) (2), and 101.43(4)° (3). In each case, the copper-copper separation through the bis-bidentate bpm [5.428(1) (1), 5.449(1) (2), and 5.9250(4) ? (3)] is considerably longer than that through the di-μ-hydroxo [2.8320(4) (1) and 2.824(1) ? (2)] or di-μ-fluoro [3.3027(4) ? (3)] bridges. Compound 4 is a mononuclear species whose structure is made up of neutral [Cu(bpm)(H(2)O)(2)F(NO(3))] units, [Cu(bpm)(H(2)O)(3)F](+) cations, uncoordinated nitrate anions, and crystallization water molecules, giving rise to a pseudo-helical, one-dimensional (1D) supramolecular motif. The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 1.9-300 K. Relatively large, alternating antiferro- [J = -149 (1) and -141 cm(-1) (2) across bis-bidentate bpm] and ferromagnetic [αJ = +194 (1) and +176 cm(-1) (2) through the dihydroxo bridges] interactions occur in 1 and 2 [the Hamiltonian being defined as H = -J∑(i=1)(n/2) (S(2i)·S(2i-1) - αS(2i)·S(2i+1))]. These values compare well with those previously reported for parent examples. Two weak intrachain antiferromagnetic interactions [J = -0.30 and αJ = -8.1 cm(-1) across bpm and the di-μ-fluoro bridges, respectively] whose values were substantiated by density functional theory (DFT)-type calculations occur in 3.  相似文献

A bimetallic pillared-layer coordination framework {[Mn(3)(bipy)(3)(H(2)O)(4)][Cr(CN)(6)](2)·2(bipy)·4(H(2)O)}(n) has been constructed using a cyanometallate anion ([Cr(CN)(6)](3-)) and an organic linker (4,4'-bipyridyl) that provides high heat of hydrogen adsorption (~11.5 kJ mol(-1)) and shows guest dependent magnetic modulation.  相似文献

The reaction of neodymium, europium, or terbium nitrate with cucurbit[6]uril (CB6) in the presence of the α-amino acid L-cysteine (L-cys) gives the complexes [Nd(L-cys)(CB6)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(4)]·2NO(3)·10H(2)O (1) and {[Ln(L-cys)(CB6)(H(2)O)(5)][Ln(L-cys)(CB6)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(4)]}·5NO(3)·22H(2)O with Ln = Eu (2) or Tb (3). 2 and 3 only differ from 1 by the presence of two independent metal ions in slightly different environments. In all cases, each metal atom is bound to the bidentate CB6 and the monodentate L-cys molecules, with the latter being in its zwitterionic form. The ammonium group of L-cys is directed away from CB6 and is involved in ion-dipole and hydrogen bonding interactions with the uncomplexed portal of the neighboring molecule, which gives rise to the formation of chiral one-dimensional assemblies of columnar shape.  相似文献

Herein, a new aromatic carboxylate ligand, namely, 4-(dipyridin-2-yl)aminobenzoic acid (HL), has been designed and employed for the construction of a series of lanthanide complexes (Eu(3+) = 1, Tb(3+) = 2, and Gd(3+) = 3). Complexes of 1 and 2 were structurally authenticated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and were found to exist as infinite 1D coordination polymers with the general formulas {[Eu(L)(3)(H(2)O)(2)]}(n) (1) and {[Tb(L)(3)(H(2)O)].(H(2)O)}(n) (2). Both compounds crystallize in monoclinic space group C2/c. The photophysical properties demonstrated that the developed 4-(dipyridin-2-yl)aminobenzoate ligand is well suited for the sensitization of Tb(3+) emission (Φ(overall) = 64%) thanks to the favorable position of the triplet state ((3)ππ*) of the ligand [the energy difference between the triplet state of the ligand and the excited state of Tb(3+) (ΔE) = (3)ππ* - (5)D(4) = 3197 cm(-1)], as investigated in the Gd(3+) complex. On the other hand, the corresponding Eu(3+) complex shows weak luminescence efficiency (Φ(overall) = 7%) due to poor matching of the triplet state of the ligand with that of the emissive excited states of the metal ion (ΔE = (3)ππ* - (5)D(0) = 6447 cm(-1)). Furthermore, in the present work, a mixed lanthanide system featuring Eu(3+) and Tb(3+) ions with the general formula {[Eu(0.5)Tb(0.5)(L)(3)(H(2)O)(2)]}(n) (4) was also synthesized, and the luminescent properties were evaluated and compared with those of the analogous single-lanthanide-ion systems (1 and 2). The lifetime measurements for 4 strongly support the premise that efficient energy transfer occurs between Tb(3+) and Eu(3+) in a mixed lanthanide system (η = 86%).  相似文献
