Let H be a connected finite dimensional wild hereditary path-algebra over an arbitrary field K and the Auslander-Reiten translation on H-mod, the category of finite dimensional H-modules. Let X be a finite dimensional H-module. We prove unexpected new results on the structure of the shifted modules , for , their minimal projective and injective resolutions, and the Auslander-Reiten components of the one-point extensions and coextensions of H by the modules . Let A be a finite dimensional, basic and connected algebra (associative, with 1) over an algebraically closed field k. Denote by e1,...,en a complete set of primitive orthogonal idempotents in A and by Ai= A/AeiA. A is called a minimal algebra of infinite representation type provided A is itself of infinite representation type, whereas all Ai, 1≤i≤n,are of finite representation type. The main result gives the classification of the minimal algebras having a preprojective component in their Auslander-Reiten quiver. The classification is obtained by realizing that these algebras are essentially given by preprojective tilting modules over tame hereditary algebras.  相似文献

Let A and B be two finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field, related to each other by a stable equivalence of Morita type. We prove that A and B have the same number of isomorphism classes of simple modules if and only if their 0-degree Hochschild Homology groups HH 0(A) and HH 0(B) have the same dimension. The first of these two equivalent conditions is claimed by the Auslander-Reiten conjecture. For symmetric algebras we will show that the Auslander-Reiten conjecture is equivalent to other dimension equalities, involving the centers and the projective centers of A and B. This motivates our detailed study of the projective center, which now appears to contain the main obstruction to proving the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for symmetric algebras. As a by-product, we get several new invariants of stable equivalences of Morita type.  相似文献

THE REGULAR COMPONENTS OF THE AUSLANDER-REITEN QUIVER OF A TILTED ALGEBRA   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Let B be a connected finite-dimensional hereditary algebra of infinite representationtype. It is shown that there exists a regular tilting B-module if and only if B is wild andhas at least three simple modules. In this way,the author determines the possible form ofregular components which arise as a connecting component of the Auslander-Reitenquiver Γ(A)of a tilted algebra A.The second result asserts that for a tilted algebra A,any regular component of Γ(A)which is not a connecting component,is quasi-serial.  相似文献

In the paper, we introduce a wide class of domestic finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field which are obtained from the hereditary algebras of Euclidean type , n≥1, by iterated one-point extensions by two-ray modules. We prove that these algebras are domestic and their Auslander-Reiten quivers admit infinitely many nonperiodic connected components with infinitely many orbits with respect to the action of the Auslander-Reiten translation. Moreover, we exhibit a wide class of almost sincere domestic simply connected algebras of large global dimensions.  相似文献

We classify (up to Morita equivalence) all tame weakly symmetric finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field having simply connected Galois coverings, nonsingular Cartan matrices and the stable Auslander-Reiten quivers consisting only of tubes. In particular, we prove that these algebras have at most four simple modules.Received: 25 February 2002  相似文献

Categories of representations of finite partially ordered sets over commutative artinian uniserial rings arise naturally from categories of lattices over orders and abelian groups. By a series of functorial reductions and a combinatorial analysis, the representation type of a category of representations of a finite partially ordered set S over a commutative artinian uniserial ring R is characterized in terms of S and the index of nilpotency of the Jacobson radical of R. These reductions induce isomorphisms of Auslander-Reiten quivers and preserve and reflect Auslander-Reiten sequences. Included, as an application, is the completion of a partial characterization of representation type of a category of representations arising from pairs of finite rank completely decomposable abelian groups.  相似文献

We investigate the behaviour of Auslander-Reiten sequences of modules over a finite dimensional algebra over a field under base field extension. It is proved that an Auslander-Reiten sequence splits into a direct sum of Auslander-Reiten sequences provided the extension is separable in the sense of MacLane.

Let k be a fixed algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic, let Λ be a finite dimensional self-injective k-algebra,and let V be an indecomposable non-projective left Λ-module with finite dimension over k.We prove that if τΛV is the Auslander-Reiten translation of V,then the versal deformation rings R(Λ,V)and R(Λ,τΛV)(in the sense of F.M.Bleher and the second author)are isomorphic. We use this to prove that if Λ is further a cluster-tilted k-algebra,then R(Λ,V)is universal and isomorphic to k.  相似文献

The Auslander-Reiten quiver of a finite-dimensional associative algebra encodes information about the indecomposable finite-dimensional representations of and their homomorphisms. A component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver is called preprojective if it does not admit oriented cycles and each of its modules can be shifted into a projective module using the Auslander-Reiten translation. Preprojective components play an important role in the present research on algebras of finite and tame representation type. We present an algorithm which detects all preprojective components of a given algebra.

Auslander’s representation dimension measures how far a finite dimensional algebra is away from being of finite representation type. In [1], M. Auslander proved that a finite dimensional algebra A is of finite representation type if and only if the representation dimension of A is at most 2. Recently, R. Rouquier proved that there are finite dimensional algebras of an arbitrarily large finite representation dimension. One of the exciting open problems is to show that all finite dimensional algebras of tame representation type have representation dimension at most 3. We prove that this is true for all domestic weakly symmetric algebras over algebraically closed fields having simply connected Galois coverings.  相似文献

Abstract

Let A be a basic connected finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field. We show that if Γ is an infinite connected component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver ΓA of A in which each ΓA-orbit contains only finitely many vertices, then the number of indecomposable direct summands of the middle term of any mesh, whose starting vertex belongs to the infinite stable part of Γ, is less than or equal to 3. Moreover, if the nonstable vertices belong to τA-orbits of exceptional projectives in Γ, then Γ can be obtained from a stable tube by a finite number of multiple coray-ray insertions of type α?γ and multiple coray-ray insertions of type α?γ.  相似文献

For finite semidistributive lattices the map κ gives a bijection between the sets of completely join-irreducible elements and completely meet-irreducible elements. Here we study the κ-map in the context of torsion classes. It is well-known that the lattice of torsion classes for an artin algebra is semidistributive, but in general it is far from finite. We show the κ-map is well-defined on the set of completely join-irreducible elements, even when the lattice of torsion classes is infinite. We then extend κ to a map on torsion classes which have canonical join representations given by the special torsion classes associated to the minimal extending modules introduced by the first and third authors and A. Carroll in 2019.For hereditary algebras, we show that the extended κ-map on torsion classes is essentially the same as Ringel's ?-map on wide subcategories. Also in the hereditary case, we relate the square of κ to the Auslander-Reiten translation.  相似文献

In this paper we study Auslander-Reiten sequences of modules with finite complexity over selfinjective artin algebras. In particular, we show that for all eventually Ω-perfect modules of finite complexity, the number of indecomposable non projective summands of the middle term of such sequences is bounded by 4. We also describe situations in which all non projective modules in a connected component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver are eventually Ω-perfect.  相似文献

Let A be a Frobenius Koszul algebra such that its Koszul dual A ! is a quantum polynomial algebra. Co-point modules over A were defined as dual notion of point modules over A ! with respect to the Koszul duality. In this article, we will see that various important functors between module categories over A used in representation theory of finite dimensional algebras send co-point modules to co-point modules. As a consequence, we will show that if (E, σ) is a geometric pair associated to A !, then the map σ:E → E is an automorphism of the point scheme E of A !, so that there is a bijection between isomorphism classes of left point modules over A ! and those of right point modules over A !.  相似文献

We contribute to the classification of finite dimensional algebras under stable equivalence of Morita type. More precisely we give a classification of Erdmann’s algebras of dihedral, semi-dihedral and quaternion type and obtain as byproduct the validity of the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for stable equivalences of Morita type between two algebras, one of which is of dihedral, semi-dihedral or quaternion type.  相似文献

We develop the fundamentals of hereditary noetherian categories with Serre duality over an arbitrary field k, where the category of coherent sheaves over a smooth projective curve over k serves as the prime example and others are coming from the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras. The proper way to view such a category is to think of coherent sheaves on a possibly non-commutative smooth projective curve. We define for each such category notions like function field and Euler characteristic, determine its Auslander-Reiten components and study stable and semistable bundles for an appropriate notion of degree. We provide a complete classification of hereditary noetherian categories for the case of positive Euler characteristic by relating these to finite dimensional representations of (locally bounded) hereditary k-algebras whose underlying valued quiver admits a positive additive function. The classification of the Auslander-Reiten quivers of the local orders of finite lattice type is completed. For this purpose, it is shown—using the results of [7]—that to the list of the known Auslander-Reiten quivers of the local Bäckström orders of finite lattice type [11], [14] and of the local Gorenstein orders of finite type and their minimal overorders [18] one has to add two remaining types of valued translation quivers to obtain a complete list of all Auslander-Reiten quivers of the local orders of finite lattice type.  相似文献

The set of pure-injective cotilting modules over an artin algebra is shown to have a monoid structure. This monoid structure does not restrict down to a monoid structure on the finitely generated cotilting modules in general, but it does whenever the algebra is of finite representation type. Pure-injective cotilting modules are also constructed from any set of finitely generated cotilting modules with bounded injective dimension. Presented by Y.
