We study NQM algebras A having an orthogonal automorphism of finite order n 3 (called Z n -orthograded NQM algebras). The Z 3-orthograded NQM algebras of dimension 7 are treated in more detail. In particular, we find all algebras A which are not bi-isotropic in this class, and for every algebra A, determine an automorphism group Aut,A and an orthogonal automorphism group Ortaut,A. In constructing and classifying (up to isomorphism) NQM algebras, use is made of orthogonal decompositions of the algebras.  相似文献

We consider a variation of an extremal theorem due to Woodall [12, or 1, Chapter 3] as follows: Determine the smallest even integer (3C1,n), such that every n-term graphic sequence = (d1, d2,..., dn) with term sum () = d1 + d2 + ... + dn (3C1,n) has a realization G containing a cycle of length r for each r = 3,4,...,l. Let be an n-dimensional compact, possibly with boundary, submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional space form R n+p (c). Assume that r is even and , in this paper we introduce rth mean curvature function S r and (r + 1)-th mean curvature vector field . We call M to be an r-minimal submanifold if on M, we note that the concept of 0-minimal submanifold is the concept of minimal submanifold. In this paper, we define a functional of , by calculation of the first variational formula of J r we show that x is a critical point of J r if and only if x is r-minimal. Besides, we give many examples of r-minimal submanifolds in space forms. We calculate the second variational formula of J r and prove that there exists no compact without boundary stable r-minimal submanifold with in the unit sphere S n+p . When r = 0, noting S 0 = 1, our result reduces to Simons’ result: there exists no compact without boundary stable minimal submanifold in the unit sphere S n+p .   相似文献

Let X1 and X2 be subspaces of quotients of R OH and C OH respectively. We use new free probability techniques to construct a completely isomorphic embedding of the Haagerup tensor product into the predual of a sufficiently large QWEP von Neumann algebra. As an immediate application, given any 1 < q ≤ 2, our result produces a completely isomorphic embedding of (equipped with its natural operator space structure) into with a QWEP von Neumann algebra. Let T be a locally compact Hausdorff space and let C 0(T) be the Banach space of all complex valued continuous functions vanishing at infinity in T, provided with the supremum norm. Let X be a quasicomplete locally convex Hausdorff space. A simple proof of the theorem on regular Borel extension of X-valued -additive Baire measures on T is given, which is more natural and direct than the existing ones. Using this result the integral representation and weak compactness of a continuous linear map u: C 0(T) X when c 0 X are obtained. The proof of the latter result is independent of the use of powerful results such as Theorem 6 of [6] or Theorem 3 (vii) of [13].  相似文献

We give a new algorithm for enumerating all possible embeddings of a metric space (i.e., the distances between every pair within a set of n points) into ℝ2 Cartesian space preserving their l (or l 1) metric distances. Its expected time is (i.e., within a poly-log of the size of the input) beating the previous algorithm. In contrast, we prove that detecting l 3 embeddings is NP-complete. The problem is also NP-complete within l 12 or l 2 with the added constraint that the locations of two of the points are given or alternatively that the two dimensions are curved into a three-dimensional sphere. We also refute a compaction theorem by giving a metric space that cannot be embedded in l 3; however, it can be embedded if any single point is removed. We study the class of bounded C 0-semigroups T=(T t ) t0 on a Banach space X satisfying the asymptotic finite dimensionality condition: codim X 0(T)<, where X 0(T):={x X:limt T t x=0}. Let be the uniform triangulation generated by the usual three directional mesh of the plane and let H 1 be the regular hexagon formed by the six triangles of surrounding the origin. We study the space of piecewise polynomial functions in C k (R 2) with support H 1 having a sufficiently high degree n, which are invariant with respect to the group of symmetries of H 1 and whose sum of integer translates is constant. Such splines are called H 1-splines. We first compute the dimension of this space in function of n and k. Then we prove the existence of a unique H 1-spline of minimal degree for any fixed k0. Finally, we describe an algorithm computing the Bernstein–Bézier coefficients of this spline.  相似文献

We classify graph C *-algebras, namely, Cuntz-Krieger algebras associated to the Bass-Hashimoto edge incidence operator of a finite graph, up to strict isomorphism. This is done by a purely graph theoretical calculation of the K-theory of the C *-algebras and the method also provides an independent proof of the classification up to Morita equivalence and stable equivalence of such algebras, without using the boundary operator algebra. A direct relation is given between the K 1-group of the algebra and the cycle space of the graph. We thank Jakub Byszewski for his input in Sect. 2.8. The position of the unit in K 0( Ч) was guessed based on some example calculations by Jannis Visser in his SCI 291 Science Laboratory at Utrecht University College.  相似文献

It is shown that every bundle M of complex spinormodules over the Clifford bundle Cl(g) of a Riemannian space(M, g) with local model (V, h)is associated with an lpin(Lipschitz) structure on M, this being a reduction of theO(h)-bundle of all orthonormal frames on M to the Lipschitzgroup Lpin(h) of all automorphisms of a suitably defined spinspace. An explicit construction is given of the total space of theLpin(h)-bundle defining such a structure. If the dimension mof M is even, then the Lipschitz group coincides with the complexClifford group and the lpin structure can be reduced to a pin c structure. If m = 2n – 1, then a spinor module on M is of the Cartan type: its fibres are 2 n -dimensional anddecomposable at every point of M, but the homomorphism of bundlesof algebras Cl(g) End globally decomposes if, andonly if, M is orientable. Examples of such bundles are given. Thetopological condition for the existence of an lpin structure on anodd-dimensional Riemannian manifold is derived and illustrated by theexample of a manifold admitting such a structure, but no pin c structure.  相似文献

Characterization of paracompact finite C-spaces via continuous selections avoiding Z -sets are given. We apply these results to obtain some properties of finite C-spaces. Factorization theorems and a completion theorem for finite C-spaces are also proved.  相似文献

The collection of minimal herissons in 3 is endowed with a vector space structure. The existence of this structure is related to the fact that null curves inC 3 are described by a single map from the étalé space of the sheaf of germs of holomorphic sections of the line bundle of degree 2 over 1 to C3, which islinear on stalks. A subset MX of a normed linear space X is a Chebyshev set if, for every xX, the set of all nearest points from M to x is a singleton. We obtain a geometrical characterisation of approximatively compact Chebyshev sets in c0. Let M n , n 3, be a complete oriented immersed minimal hypersurface in Euclidean space R n+1. We show that if the total scalar curvature on M is less than the n/2 power of 1/C s , where C s is the Sobolev constant for M, then there are no L 2 harmonic 1-forms on M. As corollaries, such a minimal hypersurface contains no nontrivial harmonic functions with finite Dirichlet integral and so it has only one end. This implies finally that M is a hyperplane.  相似文献
