An immersed-boundary method was employed to perform a direct numerical simulation (DNS) of flow around a wall-mounted cube in a fully developed turbulent channel for a Reynolds number Re = 5610, based on the bulk velocity and the channel height. Instantaneous results of the DNS of a plain channel flow were used as a fully developed inflow condition for the main channel. The results confirm the unsteadiness of the considered flow caused by the unstable interaction of a horseshoe vortex formed in front of the cube and on both its sides with an arch-type vortex behind the cube. The time-averaged data of the turbulence mean-square intensities, Reynolds shear stresses, kinetic energy and dissipation rate are presented. The negative turbulence production is predicted in the region in front of the cube where the main horseshoe vortex originates.  相似文献

基于定常吹吸气对波浪型圆柱近尾迹流动进行控制以增强柱体振动, 采用大涡模拟研究了亚临界雷诺数(Re = 3000)下前吹后吸和前后吸气控制方式在不同吹吸气工况对波浪型圆柱升阻力特性、时均压力系数、环量、湍动能及近尾迹流动结构的影响. 研究发现: 前吹后吸和前后吸气控制下波浪型圆柱在不同吹吸气动量系数工况脉动升力系数均显著提高, 最大较未受控直圆柱和波浪型圆柱分别提升高达636%和391%, 这主要可能归因于吹吸气控制使波浪型圆柱回流区变短, 高强度涡集中向钝体后方靠拢, 旋涡形成长度缩短, 展向涡流与顺流向涡流相互作用在波浪型圆柱下游形成的“肋状涡”变大变长, 近尾迹环量显著增大, 从而导致脉动升力系数增大, 这可能将诱导柱体产生更强的振动; 同时两种控制方式均改变了波浪型圆柱表面的压力分布, 由于在波浪型圆柱前驻点吹气使前端趋于流线型, 前吹后吸在不同吹吸气动量系数下波浪型圆柱的高压区减小, 但在后驻点吸气使得低压区增大, 而前后吸气在不同吹吸气动量系数下波浪型圆柱的高压区基本不变, 低压区增大. 研究结果可为低风速地区分布式风力俘能结构俘能效率提升提供基础理论支持.   相似文献

The flow and local heat transfer around a wall-mounted cube oriented 45° to the flow is investigated experimentally in the range of Reynolds number 4.2 × 103–3.3 × 104 based on the cube height. The distribution of local heat transfer on the cube and its base wall are examined, and it is clarified that the heat transfer distribution under the angled condition differs markedly to that for cube oriented perpendicular to the flow, particularly on the top face of the cube. The surface pressure distribution is also investigated, revealing a well-formed pair of leading-edge vortices extending from the front corner of the top face downstream along both front edges for Re>(1−2)×104. Regions of high heat transfer and low pressure are formed along the flow reattachment and separation lines caused by these vortices. In particular, near the front corner of the top face, pressure suction and heat transfer enhancement are pronounced. The average heat transfer on the top face is enhanced at Re>(1−2)×104 over that of a cube aligned perpendicular to the flow.  相似文献

采用粒子图像测速技术(particle image velocimetry,PIV)在平板湍流边界层内开展实验研究,对比颗粒相及单相液体的平均速度剖面、湍流强度、雷诺应力等湍流统计量,分析颗粒在湍流边界层中的行为.利用空间多尺度局部平均涡量的概念提取壁湍流发卡涡展向涡头(顺向涡)并统计其数量规律,得到不同法向位置处顺向涡周围流向脉动速度及流线的空间拓扑结构,比较分析顺向涡发展程度及周围的湍流相干结构.结果发现:与清水工况相比,颗粒相湍流边界层的缓冲层变薄、对数律区下移,湍流强度得到增强,雷诺应力在对数律区有所增大;颗粒的流向脉动速度在展向涡周围的分布与清水工况不同,颗粒能够被流体展向涡周围的猝发过程有效传递;颗粒相的顺向涡涡核较大,且随着法向位置的升高逐渐发展完整,涡和条带在流向上拉伸得更长;同时发现在两种工况下,顺向涡的左下方始终存在一个逆向涡,颗粒相逆向涡的形成弱于单相流体;两种工况下的顺向涡数量均随着法向位置的升高而减少,最后逐渐趋于稳定.   相似文献

汽车尾部湍流场是汽车压差阻力的主要来源,在HD-2汽车模型风洞中,首先使用测力天平和测压系统,对横摆角工况下汽车模型的气动六分力和纵对称截面48个测点的表面压力进行了测量,然后利用PIV测量技术对模型在横摆角分别为0°、15°的尾部湍流场进行了测量,获得该模型尾流场的速度场、涡量场和雷诺应力流场信息,通过计算得出尾流场区域空间相关系数和湍流积分尺度。结果表明:在横摆角工况下,汽车模型尾部涡流的结构呈现向上发展的趋势;尾流场拖拽涡的范围和强度的增大导致了模型气动力出现较大的增加;湍流积分尺度的变化表明,尾部涡流区的分离噪声与涡流分离位置有关,在汽车尾部造型设计中,要尽量推迟尾部涡流的分离。  相似文献

Detailed measurements with hot-wires and pressure probes are presented for the interaction between a turbulent longitudinal vortex pair with common flow down, and a turbulent boundary layer. The interaction has a larger value of the vortex circulation parameter, and therefore better represents many aircraft/vortex interactions, than those studied previously. The vortices move down towards the boundary layer, but only the outer parts of the vortices actually enter the it. Beneath the vortices the boundary layer is thinned by lateral divergence to the extent that it almost ceases to grow. Outboard of the vortices the boundary layer is thickened by lateral convergence. The changes in turbulence structure parameters in the boundary layer appear to be due to the effects of extra-rate-of-strain produced by lateral divergence (or convergence) and by free-stream turbulence. The effect of the interaction on the vortices (other than the inviscid effect of the image vortices below the surface) is small. The flow constitutes a searching test case for prediction methods for three-dimensional turbulent flows.  相似文献

通过风洞模拟实验,研究了在锥形涡诱导下建筑物顶面风荷载的特性. 针对一个立方体形模 型,给出了在不同风向角下压力分布的系统结果,进而分析了产生这样结果的原因和流动机 理,以及建筑物顶面的分离流动结构随风向角改变而改变及其演化过程,并指出锥形涡的出 现是建筑物顶面局部出现峰值负压的主要原因. 实验结果还显示,在一定风向角下,由于分 离流动产生的锥形涡结构在屋顶局部可以诱导出时均负压峰值达$-1.0$以上;在风向角 $\beta =30^\circ$时,锥形涡强度达到最大,其诱导的顶面附近局部时均负压峰值可 达$-2.4$, 瞬时风压达$-5.7$以上,是导致建筑物屋顶在强风下损坏的根本原因.  相似文献

A high Reynolds number flat plate turbulent boundary layer is investigated in a wind-tunnel experiment. The flow is subjected to an adverse pressure gradient which is strong enough to generate a weak separation bubble. This experimental study attempts to shed some new light on separation control by means of streamwise vortices with emphasize on the change in the boundary layer turbulence structure. In the present case, counter-rotating and initially non-equidistant streamwise vortices become and remain equidistant and confined within the boundary layer, contradictory to the prediction by inviscid theory. The viscous diffusion cause the vortices to grow, the swirling velocity component to decrease and the boundary layer to develop towards a two-dimensional state. At the position of the eliminated separation bubble the following changes in the turbulence structure were observed. The anisotropy state in the near-wall region is unchanged, which indicates that it is determined by the presence of the wall rather than the large scale vortices. However, the turbulence in the outer part of the boundary layer becomes overall more isotropic due to an increased wall-normal mixing and a significantly decreased production of streamwise fluctuations. The turbulent kinetic energy is decreased as a consequence of the latter. Despite the complete change in mean flow, the spatial turbulence structure and the anisotropy state, the process of transfer of turbulent kinetic energy to the spanwise fluctuating component seems to be unchanged. Local regions of anisotropy are strongly connected to maxima in the turbulent production. For example, at spanwise positions in between those of symmetry, the spanwise gradient of the streamwise velocity cause significant production of turbulent fluctuations. Transport of turbulence in the spanwise direction occurs in the same direction as the rotation of the vortices.  相似文献

It is well known that injection/suction (transpiration) through a perforated surface is an efficient way of influencing the characteristics of a turbulent boundary layer. Injection application creates a thicker boundary layer on a flat plate and it thus decreases drag. In aeronautical applications, suction is frequently used to delay boundary layer separation. This paper presents an experimental study on the effects of uniform injection through one perforated surface of a square cylinder on the pressure distribution and drag coefficient in a two-dimensional turbulent flow. For this purpose, surface pressure measurements around a square cylinder have been performed at three different Reynolds numbers in a wind tunnel. The parameters taken into account were injection rate, position of perforated surface (i.e., front, top, and rear), and pressure coefficient and drag coefficient. The results show that variation in pressure coefficient around the square cylinder and drag coefficient were influenced by the position of perforated surface and by injection rate.  相似文献

This study revealed the three-dimensional instantaneous topologies of the large-scale turbulence structures in the separated flow on the suction surface of wind turbine’s blade during stall delay. These structures are the major contributors to the first two POD (proper orthogonal decomposition) modes. The two kinds of instantaneous flow structures as major contributors to the first POD mode are: (1) extended regions of downwash flow with an upstream upward flow beside it and a compact vortex pair closer to the blade’s leading edge; (2) a large-scale clockwise vortex with strong induced flows. The two kinds of flow structures contributing significantly to the second POD mode are: (1) large counter-rotating vortices inducing strong upward velocities and a series of small vortices; (2) strong downwash flow coming from the leading-edge shear layer with a large and strong vortex on the left side and small vortices upstream. The statistical impacts of these large-scale and energetic structures on the turbulence have also been studied. It was observed that when these turbulence structures were removed from the flow, the peak values of some statistics were significantly reduced.  相似文献

This is the second of two papers on the interaction between a longitudinal vortex pair, produced by a delta-wing at angle of attack, and a turbulent boundary layer developing on a flat plate. In the first paper only the outer parts of the vortices entered the boundary layer whereas in this paper the vortices merge with it. In the resultant interaction, the boundary layer between the vortices is kept thin by lateral divergence and a three-dimensional separation line is formed outboard of each vortex. Turbulent, momentum-deficient fluid containing longitudinal vorticity is entrained from the boundary layer along these lines and wrapped around the vortices. As a consequence, the turbulent region of the vortices increases in size and the circulation slowly decreases. It is shown that the flow near the separation line and in the vortices is complicated, and this interaction is expected to be more difficult to calculate than the first. Detailed mean flow and turbulence measurements are reported.  相似文献

An experiment was carried out in a low-speed wind tunnel to study the turbulence structure of the boundary layer over a two-dimensional square cavity on a flat plate. The main purpose of this investigation is to examine the way a square cavity modifies the near-wall structure of the turbulent boundary layer leading to a possible drag reduction overd-type roughness. The experimental results on pressure coefficient and friction coefficient indicated a small reduction in total drag in this configuration. This seems to be due to the stable vortex flow observed within the cavity which absorbs and reorganizes the incoming turbulence in the cavity, thereby modifying the near-wall turbulence structure of the boundary layer. Two dimensional time accurate PIV measurements of the flow between pressure and suction side at different spanwise positions of a rotating channel are presented. The Reynolds and Rotation numbers are representative for the flow in radial impellers of micro gas turbines. Superposition of the 2D results at the different spanwise positions provides a quasi-3D view of the flow and illustrates the impact of Coriolis forces on the 3D flow structure. It is shown that the inlet flow is little affected by rotation. An increasing/decreasing boundary layer thickness is reported on the suction/pressure side wall halfway between the channel inlet and outlet. The turbulence intensity moves away from the suction side wall and remains close to the pressure side wall. The instantaneous measurements at mid-height of the rotating channel reveal the presence of hairpin vortices in the pressure side boundary layer and symmetric vortices near the suction side. Hairpin vortices occur in rotation in the pressure and in the suction side, for the measurement plane close to the channel bottom wall.  相似文献

文章采用标准k-ω SST湍流模型和动网格技术, 实现了绕俯仰振荡NACA66水翼非定常流动结构与水动力特性的数值模拟, 并基于有限域涡量矩理论定量表征了局部旋涡结构对水翼动力特性的影响. 研究结果表明: 在水翼升程阶段, 当攻角较小时, 层流向湍流的转捩点由水翼尾缘向前缘移动; 在较大攻角时, 顺时针尾缘涡?TEV在水翼吸力面上生成并向前缘发展, 同时与吸力面上的顺时针前缘涡?LEV融合发展为附着在整个吸力面上的新前缘涡?LEV, 新的?LEV与逆时针尾缘涡+TEV相互作用直至完全脱落, 直接导致了水翼的动力失速, 在回程阶段, 绕振荡水翼的流场结构逐渐由湍流转变为层流. 基于有限域涡量矩理论的定量分析发现, 有限域内附着的?LEV和?TEV提供正升力, 当?LEV发展覆盖整个吸力面时对升力的贡献最大, 占总升力近50%, 而+TEV提供负升力. 同时发现, 有限域内各旋涡内部的不同区域提供的升力有正有负; 而逸出有限域的旋涡内部不同区域提供的升力方向均保持一致, 其中顺时针涡提供正升力, 而逆时针涡提供负升力. 在失速阶段, 域外旋涡整体对升力贡献较小且存在小幅波动, 体现了流动的非定常性.   相似文献

利用改进型延迟分离涡模拟方法对缩尺比例1:30的高速列车简化模型的绕流流场进行数值计算,主要针对近尾流区的涡旋结构展开具体讨论. 通过不同的涡旋识别方法,发现在尾涡结构中,高涡量的强涡旋主要聚集于尾车附近,而涡量较低但处于相对稳定状态的涡旋分布在大部分尾流空间中. 对此,主要基于最新提出的涡旋定义及其物理意义认为,由于边界层在尾部发生的流动分离,剪切变形以及高涡量的扩散对强涡旋的形成发挥着重要的作用,而涡旋会被较强的剪切旋转拉伸,使得局部复杂的流动表现出突出的湍流特性;另一方面,尽管涡强度明显下降,但是在强剪切应变迅速衰减的情况下,流向涡核中的涡旋涡量是主要的,此时,在较接近地面的情况下,流体微团以涡核为中心的旋转运动使得涡旋与地面之间的相互作用成为主导的流动机制. 虽然涡强度会相对缓慢地衰减,但是从湍流能量产生的角度,该机制对涡旋的自维持发挥重要的作用,从而使尾涡结构能够相对稳定地存在于尾流流动中.   相似文献

本文采用粒子图像测速技术(particles image velocimetry, PIV)研究固体颗粒对放置在平板湍流边界层中的平壁和沟槽壁面减阻效果的影响. 实验对清水和加入粒径为155 μm聚苯乙烯颗粒的流法向二维速度场信息进行采集, 对不同工况下的平均速度剖面、雷诺应力和湍流度等统计量进行对比, 分析流体在边界层中的行为. 运用空间局部平均结构函数提取了不同工况湍流边界层喷射?扫掠行为的空间拓扑结构并进行比较. 结果发现, 在不同的壁面条件下, 粒子加入后的对数律区中无量纲速度均略大于清水组, 雷诺切应力有所降低, 湍流度有所减弱. 对于不同流场速度下的沟槽而言, 颗粒的加入均降低了壁面附近的阻力, 而颗粒单独作用于光滑壁面的减阻效果并不明显. 加入粒子后的相干结构数目有所增加, 法向脉动速度下降. 沟槽壁面附近的相干结构数目有所增加, 法向脉动速度在自由来流速度较大时有所上升, 在速度较小时有所下降. 这表明不同减阻状况下的沟槽均能将大涡破碎成更多的涡, 并且粒子的加入强化了这种破碎作用.   相似文献

A new hybrid meteorological model/engineering LES method was used to analyze a tornado and near-ground turbulence under realistic conditions. The hybrid method estimates high frequency turbulence regeneration in an actual severe storm that has complex thermal conditions in order to alleviate the problem of high frequency component dissipation in meteorological models and generate appropriate field data to investigate near-ground flow and wind loading on buildings. The high frequency regeneration method was validated in the convective boundary layer and the energy spectrum of the velocity field was successfully extended to higher frequency region in good agreement with −5/3 Kolmogorov law.Multi-scale simulations of a tornado were conducted based on meteorological model outputs with three different terrain conditions, including an actual urban building geometry and terrain, and the changes in the main tornado vortex and the interactions with near-ground turbulent field were examined. On roughened surfaces with uniform blocks and buildings, the main tornado vortex was connected to near-ground vertical vortices arising due to the urban geometry. The structure was significantly deformed, splitting into numerous finer vortices below several times the building height. These near-ground vortices create localized sharp pressure drop patterns and also affect the movement of the tornado. These effects of low pressure on buildings were quantitatively analyzed.  相似文献

We investigate the performance of unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) computation and various versions of detached eddy simulation (DES) in resolving coherent structures in turbulent flow around two cubes mounted in tandem on a flat plate at Reynolds number (Re) of 22,000 and for a thin incoming boundary layer. Calculations are carried out using four different coherent structure resolving turbulence models: (1) URANS with the Spalart–Allmaras model; (2) the standard DES [Spalart, P.R., Jou, W.H., Strelets, M., Allmaras, S.R., 1997. Comments on the feasibility of LES for wings, and on a hybrid RANS/LES approach. In: Liu, C., Liu, Z., (Eds.), Advances in DNS/LES. Greyden Press, Columbus, OH]; (3) the Delayed DES (DDES); and (4) the DES with a low-Re modification (DES-LR) [Spalart, P., Deck, S., Shur, M., Squires, K., Strelets, M., Travin, A., 2006. A new version of detached eddy simulation, resistant to ambiguous grid densities. Theor. Comput. Fluid Dyn. 20 (3), 181–195]. The grid sensitivity of the computed solutions is examined by carrying out simulations on two successively refined grids. The computed results for all cases are compared with the experimental measurements of Martinuzzi and Havel [Martinuzzi, R., Havel, B., 2000. Turbulent flow around two interfering surface-mounted cubic obstacles in tandem arrangement. ASME J. Fluids Eng. 122, 24–31] for two different cube spacings. All turbulence models reproduce essentially identical separation of the approach thin boundary layer and yield an unsteady horseshoe vortex system consisting of multiple vortices in the leading edge region of the upstream cube. Significant discrepancies between the URANS and all DES solutions are observed, however, in other regions of interest such as the shear layers emanating from the cubes, the inter-cube gap and the downstream wake. Regardless of the grid refinement, URANS fails to capture key features of the mean flow, including the second horseshoe vortex in the upstream junction and recirculating flow on the top surface of the downstream cube for the large cube spacing, and underestimates significantly turbulence statistics in most regions of the flow for both cases. On the coarse mesh, all three DES approaches appear to yield very similar results and fail to reproduce the second horseshoe vortex. The standard DES and DDES solutions obtained on the fine meshes are essentially identical and both suffer from premature switching to unresolved DNS, due to the mis-interpretation of grid refinement as wall proximity, which leads to spurious vortices in the inter-cube region. Numerical solutions show that the low-Re modification (DES-LR) is critical prerequisite in DES on the ambiguously fine – not fine enough for full LES – mesh to prevent excessive nonlinear drop of the subgrid eddy viscosity in low cell-Re regions like in the inter-obstacle gap. Mean flow quantities and turbulence statistics obtained with DES-LR on the fine mesh are in good overall agreement with the measurements in most regions of interest for both cases.  相似文献

通过在固壁表面的平板湍流边界层沿流向平行放置若干通电加热的金属细丝,在平板表面形成沿展向周期性分布的温度场,利用该温度场引起的空气热对流,在湍流边界层近壁区域产生一组沿湍流边界层展向周期分布的流向涡结构。对壁湍流小尺度结构标度律统计特性的研究表明,金属丝加热后形成的规则流向涡结构将壁湍流各种尺度湍涡结构不规则的脉动有序地组织起来,增强了湍流小尺度结构的层次结构相似性,减小了壁湍流中小尺度结构的间歇性和奇异性,抑制了壁湍流中奇异的湍涡结构。  相似文献
