The room-temperature luminescent emission characteristics of Sr2CeO4:M+ and Sr2CeO4:Eu3+,M+ (M+ = Li+, Na+, K+) have been investigated under UV excitation. By introducing appropriate alkali metal cations dopants (Li+, Na+, K+) into the crystalline lattice, not only emission color of the blue-white-emitting Sr2CeO4 doped with low Eu3+ content can be tuned to green, but also the red emission intensity of Sr2CeO4 doped with high Eu3+ concentration is strengthened significantly. The relevant mechanisms have been elucidated in detail.  相似文献

LiCaBO3:M (M=Eu3+, Sm3+, Tb3+, Ce3+, Dy3+) phosphors were synthesized by a normal solid-state reaction using CaCO3, H3BO3, Li2CO3, Na2CO3, K2CO3, Eu2O3, Sm2O3, Tb4O7, CeO2 and Dy2O3 as starting materials. The emission and excitation spectra were measured by a SHIMADZU RF-540 UV spectrophotometer. And the results show that these phosphors can be excited effectively by near-ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UVLED), and emit red, green and blue light. Consequently, these phosphors are promising phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Under the condition of doping charge compensation Li+, Na+ and K+, the luminescence intensities of these phosphors were increased.  相似文献

Eu3+ and Sm3+ activated M2SiO4 (M=Ba, Sr and Ca) red-emitting phosphors were synthesized by a solid state reaction. The results of XRD and SEM measurements show that the samples are single phase and have irregular shape. The excitation and emission spectra indicate that these phosphors were effectively excited by ultraviolet (395 nm) and blue (466 nm) light and exhibited red performance. The charge compensator R+ (R+=Li+, Na+ and K+) injecting into the host efficiently enhanced the luminescence intensity of the M2SiO4: Eu3+ and M2SiO4: Sm3+ phosphors. The emission intensity of M2SiO4: Eu3+ and Sm3+ doping Li+ were higher than that of Na+ or K+.  相似文献

Novel blue/green NaSrPO4 phosphors co-doped with Eu2+ and Tb3+ were synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction. Their luminescent properties were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, lifetime, and temperature dependent emission spectra, respectively. The NaSrPO4:Eu2+,Tb3+,Na+ phosphor showed an intense broad excitation band between 250 and 430 nm, which was in agreement with the near-UV chip (350–420 nm), and it exhibited two dominating emission bands at 445 and 545 nm, corresponding to the allowed 4f65d1→4f7(8S7/2) transition of Eu2+ ion and the 5D47F5 transition of Tb3+ ion, respectively. The emission intensity and lifetime of Eu2+ ion decreased with the increasing concentration of Tb3+ ion, which strongly indicated that an effective energy transfer occurred from Eu2+ to Tb3+ in NaSrPO4 host. The principle of the energy transfer should be the combined effect of the non-radiative resonant energy transfer and the phonon-assisted non-radiative process.  相似文献

A novel Ce3+/Eu2+ co-activated LiSr4(BO3)3 phosphor has been synthesized by traditional solid-state reaction. The samples could display varied color emission from blue towards white and ultimately to yellow under the excitation of ultraviolet (UV) light with the appropriate adjustment of the relative proportion of Ce3+/Eu2+. The resonance-type energy transfer mechanism from Ce3+ to Eu2+ in LiSr4(BO3)3:Ce3+, Eu2+ phosphors is dominant by electric dipole–dipole interaction, and the critical distance is calculated to be about 29.14 Å by the spectra overlap method. White light was observed from LiSr4(BO3)3:mCe3+, nEu2+ phosphors with chromaticity coordinates (0.34, 0.30) upon 350 nm excitation. The LiSr4(BO3)3:Ce3+, Eu2+ phosphor has potential applications as an UV radiation-converting phosphor for white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

The fluorescence properties of Eu3 + and Tb3+ doped Na6La(BO3)3, Na6Gd(BO3)3, Na6Y(BO3)3, Na6(Gd, Y) (BO3)3 powder phosphors are reported. These phosphors display fluorescent RED and GREEN colours when droped with Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions, respectively. The best fluorescence performance was consistantly observed from the Na-Gd based hosts. The photoluminescence spectra were analysed by evaluating colour coordinates, relative intensity ratios, and stimulated emission cross-sections.  相似文献

BaWO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphors have been prepared by the conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction and chemical precipitation. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and photoluminescence (PL) technologies. When the phosphors are prepared by the high-temperature solidstate reaction, Bi3+ doping into BaWO4:Eu3+ can increase the emission intensity of 613 nm. However, maximum emission at about 595 nm was observed in Eu3+,Bi3+-doped BaWO4 phosphors prepared by the chemical precipitation. The decay constants (monitored at 595 and/or 613 nm) are within 45–100 s. The color purity of the Ba0:865WO4: Eu0:11,Bi0:025 phosphor (prepared by chemical precipitation) was 100%. The emission mechanism of Eu3+,Bi3+ in the BaWO4 phosphors is briefly discussed.  相似文献

The spectroscopic properties in UV-excitable range for the phosphors of Sr3La2(BO3)4:RE3+ (RE3+=Eu3+, Ce3+, Tb3+) were investigated. The phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reactions. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra and commission international de I'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of Sr3La2(BO3)4:RE3+ were investigated. The f-d transitions of Eu3+, Ce3+ and Tb3+ in the host lattices are assumed and corroborated. The PL and PL excitation (PLE) spectra indicate that the main emission wavelength of Sr3La2(BO3)4:Eu3+ is 611 nm, and Sr3La2(BO3)4:Ce3+ shows dominating emission peak at 425 nm, while Sr3La2(BO3)4:Tb3+ displays green emission at 487, 542, 582 and 620 nm. These phosphors were prepared by simple solid-state reaction at 1000 °C. There are lower reactive temperature and more convenient than commercial phosphors. The Sr3La2(BO3)4:Tb3+ applied to cold cathode fluorescent lamp was found to emit green light and have a major peak wavelength at around 542 nm. These phosphors may provide a new kind of luminescent materials under ultraviolet excitation.  相似文献

Powder phosphors of CaLa1? x Eu x Al3O7, CaLa1? x Ce x Al3O7 and CaLa0.99? x Eu x Ce0.01Al3O7, where x = 0.01, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.07, were prepared by a combustion method. The powders were well characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence techniques. Emission spectra of Eu3+-doped powder phosphors showed strong red emission at 613 nm (5D07F2); no concentration quenching was observed. Generally, Ce3+ acts as an efficient sensitizer when doped with other trivalent lanthanide ions. However, interestingly, in the CaLaAl3O7 powder phosphors, the addition of Ce3+ with Eu3+ exhibited an adverse effect–decreased photoluminescence intensity. The reasons for this behavior are discussed.  相似文献

Bi3+- and RE3+-co-doped (Y,Gd)BO3 phosphors were prepared and their luminescent properties under vacuum ultraviolet (VUV)/UV excitation were investigated. Strong red emission for (Y,Gd)BO3:Bi3+,Eu3+ and strong green emission for (Y,Gd)BO3:Bi3+,Tb3+ are observed under VUV excitation from 147 to 200 nm with a much broader excitation region than that of single Eu3+-doped or Tb3+-doped (Y,Gd)BO3 phosphor. Strong emissions are also observed under UV excitation around 265 nm where as nearly no luminescence is observed for single Eu3+-doped or Tb3+-doped (Y,Gd)BO3. The luminescence enhancement of Bi3+- and RE3+-co-doped (Y,Gd)BO3 phosphors is due to energy transfer from Bi3+ ion to Eu3+ or Tb3+ ion not only in the VUV region but also in the UV region. Besides, host sensitization competition between Bi3+ and Eu3+ or Tb3+ is also observed. The investigated phosphors may be preferable for devices with a VUV light 147-200 nm as an excitation source such as PDP or mercury-free fluorescent lamp.  相似文献

Eu3+-doped NaGdF4, KGdF4 and NH4GdF4 phosphors with little oxygen contamination have been synthesized by hydrothermal technique. The emission spectra show that the doped Eu3+ ions are located in noncentrosymmetric sites in the three compounds. The two-photon emission has been observed in NaGdF4:Eu3+ and KGdF4:Eu3+ compounds under VUV excitation from the ground states to higher 6GJ excited states of Gd3+ ions, while in Eu3+-doped NH4GdF4, emissions from 5D1,2,3 excited states of Eu3+ cannot be detected in the luminescence spectra.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

According to the spectra of stationary X-ray excited luminescence (XEL) of BaF2: Eu nanophosphors at 80 and 294 K, it was revealed that the thermal annealing of fine-grained nanoparticles (d?=?35?nm) in the range of 400–1000°C, which is accompanied by an increase of their sizes in the range of 58–120?nm, does not result in effective changes of the charge state of Eu3 + → Eu2 + activator, in contrast to CaF2: Eu nanoparticles. The maximum light output of X-ray excited luminescence of BaF2: Eu nanophosphors in the 590?nm emission band of Eu3+ ion was observed at an annealing temperature of 600°C with the average size of nanoparticles 67?nm. The subsequent growth of annealing temperatures, especially in the range of 800–1000°C, causes decrease in the light output of X-ray excited luminescence due to the increase of defect concentration in the lattice as a result of sharp increase of nanoparticle sizes and their agglomeration. In BaF2: Eu nanoparticles of 58?nm size, according to the thermostimulated luminescence (TSL) spectrum, transformation of Eu3+ → Eu2+ under the influence of long-time X-ray irradiation was revealed for the peak of 151?K. Thus, X-ray excited luminescence spectra of BaF2: Eu nanophosphors are formed predominantly due to the emission of Eu3+ ions, while emission of Eu2+ ions is observed in the TSL spectra.  相似文献

Rare earth ions (Ce3+, Eu2+) activated Ca3MgSi2O8 (CMSO) phosphors have been synthesized using solid-state reaction method in 95%N2+5%H2 reduction atmosphere at elevated temperatures by varying Eu2+ concentration from 0.0075 to 0.0300 at the fixed Ce0.03 concentration to study their photoluminescence (PL) properties. An energy transfer occurs from Ce3+ to Eu2+ through a significant overlap of Eu2+ excitation spectrum with Ce3+ emission spectrum in CMSO, together with the systematic relative decrease and increase in emission bands of Ce3+ and Eu2+, respectively, have been observed. To support the phenomenon, diffuse reflectance spectra show various absorption levels corresponding to Ce3+, Eu2+, and/or mixture of both rare earth ions. An optimum emission was realized at 0.0150 of Eu2+ via. energy transfer from Ce3+ ion. By utilizing the principle of energy transfer, the critical distance (R c ) between activator ions was found to be 18.64 Å. The CIE chromaticity coordinates measured on the Ca3MgSi2O8:Ce3+, Eu2+ phosphors excited under ultraviolet (365 nm) source shows the values lie in cool white light region could be applied to solid state lighting.  相似文献

The excitation spectra of M (M=Si4+, Ti4+) and Eu3+ co-doped BaZr(BO3)2, BaZrO3:Eu and La2Zr2O7:Eu in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) regions of 110-300 nm are investigated and the host-lattice absorption are characterized. The result indicated that BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ phosphor has a strong absorption under the VUV excitation, and in the host-lattice excitation, the strong band at 130-160 nm could be due to the BO3 atomic groups; the band at 160-180 nm is related to the excitation of Ba-O; 180-200 nm corresponds to the charge transfer (CT) transition of Zr-O. The band at 200-235 nm due to the CT band of Eu3+-O2− and a bond valence study explained the observed weak CT band of Eu3+-O2− in the excitation spectra of BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+. The emission results show that Si4+ can sensitize luminescence in the host of BaZr(BO3)2:Eu but Ti4+ has no improvement effect on luminescence.  相似文献

Yb3+/Er3+ co-doped Zn2SiO4 ceramics are rapidly synthesized by the microwave radiation method. Green and red up-conversion emissions are observed in Zn2SiO4: Yb3+, Er3+ ceramics under 980 nm excitation. The influence of co-doped Li+ or Bi3+ ion on luminescence intensity for the phosphors has been investigated. At Li+ or Bi3+ doping concentration of 1 mol%, up-converted green emission can be increased by 6 times and 20 times, respectively. It is believed that co-doped Li+ or Bi3+ ion results in the local distortion of Er3+ in Zn2SiO4, increasing the intra-4f transitions of Er3+ ions. The local distortion is proved by spectral probing method with Eu3+.  相似文献

Eu3+-doped ZrO2 phosphors with different charge compensators (Li+, Na+, K+) were prepared by the sol-gel method. The properties of the as-obtained samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, photoluminescence spectra, and decay curve. The results show that ZrO2:Eu3+ phosphors with different charge compensation are mixed phase of tetragonal and monoclinic phase, and the volume fraction of tetragonal phase of ZrO2:Eu3+/Na+ phosphor is bigger than the other phosphors. The phosphors can emit strong red light at 606~616 nm (5D07F2) excited by ultraviolet light (395 nm). Compared with two charge compensation patterns in the ZrO2:Eu3+, it has been found that ZrO2:Eu3+ phosphors used Na+ as charge compensator show greatly enhanced red emission under 395 nm excitation and longer luminescence lifetime.  相似文献

Vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) excitation and photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of Eu3+ ion doped borate phosphors; BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ and SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ are studied. The excitation spectra show strong absorption in the VUV region with the absorption band edge at ca. 200 nm for BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ and 183 nm for SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+, respectively, which ensures the efficient absorption of the Xe plasma emission lines. In BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+, the charge transfer band of Eu3+ does not appear strongly in the excitation spectrum, which can be enhanced by co-doping Al3+ ion into the BaZr(BO3)2 lattices. The luminescence intensity of BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ is also increased by Al3+ incorporation into the lattices. The PL spectra show the strongest emission at 615 nm corresponding to the electric dipole 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ in both BaZr(BO3)2 and SrAl2B2O7, similar to that in YAl3(BO3)4, which results in a good color purity for display applications.  相似文献

A series of new red phosphors, MZr2(PO4)3:Eu3+; Bi3+ (M=Na; K), were synthesized using the solidstate reaction method, and their photoluminescence spectra were measured. The MZr2(PO4)3:Eu3+; Bi3+ (M=Na; K) phosphors were efficiently excited by an ultraviolet (UV; 395 nm) source, and showed intense orange-red emission at 595 nm. Further investigation of the concentration-dependent emission spectra indicated that the MZr2(PO4)3:Eu3+; Bi3+ (M=Na; K) phosphors exhibit the strongest luminescence intensity when y = 0.01 in NaZr2(0:95−y)(PO4)3:Eu0.103+, Bi2y 3+ and y = 0.09 in NaZr2(0.95−y)(PO4)3:Eu0.103+, Bi2y 3+, whereas the relative PL intensity decreases with increasing Bi3+ concentration due to concentration quenching. The addition of Bi3+ widens the excitation band of NaZr2(0.95−y)(PO4)3:Eu0.103+, Bi2y 3+ around 320 nm, which provides the useful idea of broadening the excitation band around 300–350 nm to fit the ultraviolet chip.  相似文献

Novel green-emitting Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors were synthesized by a solid-state method. X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence spectra were utilized to characterize the structures and luminescence properties of the as-synthesized phosphors, respectively. Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors exhibit blue and green emission bands under the excitation of near-ultraviolet light. An asymmetric blue emission originates from the Ce3+ ion, whereas the green emission originates from the Tb3+ ion. A spectral overlap is found between the emission band of the Ce3+ ion and the excitation band of the Tb3+ ion, which supports the occurrence of the energy transfer from the Ce3+ ion to the Tb3+ ion. Meanwhile, the energy transfer is thoroughly investigated by their photoluminescence decay behaviors. The energy-transfer efficiency from the Ce3+ ion to the Tb3+ ion is also calculated, and a possible mechanism is proposed.  相似文献
