Model diblock copolymers of poly(1,4‐butadiene) (PB) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), PB‐b‐PDMS, were synthesized by the sequential anionic polymerization (high vacuum techniques) of butadiene and hexamethylciclotrisiloxane (D3) in the presence of sec‐BuLi. By homogeneous hydrogenation of PB‐b‐PDMS, the corresponding poly(ethylene) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) block copolymers, PE‐b‐PDMS, were obtained. The synthesized block copolymers were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (1H and 13C NMR), size‐exclusion chromatography (SEC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and rheology. SEC combined with 1H NMR analysis indicates that the polydispersity index of the samples (Mw/Mn) is low, and that the chemical composition of the copolymers varies from low to medium PDMS content. According to DSC and TGA experiments, the thermal stability of these block copolymers depends on the PDMS content, whereas TEM analysis reveals ordered arrangements of the microphases. The morphologies observed vary from spherical and cylindrical to lamellar domains. This ordered state (even at high temperatures) was further confirmed by small‐amplitude oscillatory shear flow tests. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Well‐defined poly(tert‐butyl methacrylate)‐graft‐poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS) graft copolymers were synthesized via reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) copolymerization of methacryloyl‐terminated poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS‐MA) with tert‐butyl methacrylate (tBuMA) in ethyl acetate, using 2,2′‐azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) as the initiator and 2‐cyanoprop‐2‐yl dithiobenzoate as the RAFT agent. The RAFT statistical copolymerization of PDMS‐MA with tBuMA is shown to be azeotropic and the obtained PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers have homogeneously distributed branches because of the similar reactivity of monomers (rtBuMArPDMSMA ≈ 1). By the RAFT block copolymerization of PDMS‐MA with tBuMA, moreover, narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn < 1.3) PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers with gradient or blocky branch spacing were synthesized. The graft copolymers exhibit the glass transitions corresponding to the PDMS and PtBuMA phase, respectively. However, the arrangement of monomer units in copolymer chains and the length of PtBuMA moieties have important effects on the thermal behavior of PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this investigation, the preparation and characterization of partially pyrolyzed membranes based on poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) are described. These membranes were obtained by the crosslinking of silanol‐terminated PDMS with multifunctional nanoclusters derived from the reaction of pentaerythritoltriacrylate with 2‐aminoethyl‐3‐aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and the in situ polycondensation of tetraethylortosilicate, followed by the thermal treatment of the resulting membranes at different temperatures. The partially pyrolyzed membranes were characterized with infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, elemental analyses, dynamic mechanical analysis, small‐angle X‐ray scattering, and scanning electron microscopy. The membranes exhibited improvements in the thermal stability and mechanical strength. Even with distinct compositions with respect to the Si/O and Si/C ratios, the flexibility of these materials was maintained. The flux rates of the gases through the membranes were measured for N2, H2, O2, CH4, and CO2, at 25 °C. The permeability of the membranes changed with increases in the pyrolysis and oxidation temperatures. These membranes could be described as PDMS chains separated by inorganic clusters. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part B: Polym Phys 45: 299–309, 2007.  相似文献

This article demonstrates the successful fabrication of thin‐film‐composite (TFC) membranes containing well‐defined soft‐hard‐soft triblock copolymers. Based on “hard” polyimide (PI) and “soft” polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), these triblock copolymers (PDMS‐b‐PI‐b‐PDMS), were prepared via condensation polymerization, and end‐group allylic functionalization to prepare the polyimide component and subsequent “click” coupling with the soft azido functionalized PDMS component. The selective layer consisted of pure PDMS‐b‐PI‐b‐PDMS copolymers which were cast onto a precast crosslinked‐PDMS gutter layer which in turn was cast onto a porous polyacrylonitrile coated substrate. The TFC membranes' gas transport properties, primarily for the separation of carbon dioxide (CO2) from nitrogen (N2), were determined at 35 °C and at a feed pressure of 2 atm. The TFC membranes showed improvements in gas permselectivity with increasing PDMS weight fraction. These results demonstrate the ability for glassy, hard polymer components to be coated onto otherwise incompatible surfaces of highly permeable soft TFC substrates through covalent coupling. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polymeric membranes comprised of poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer immobilized in a poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) network exhibit an excellent CO2 separation selectivity over H2. The CO2 permeability increases with PAMAM dendrimer concentration in the polymeric membrane and becomes 500 times greater than H2 permeability when the dendrimer content was 50 wt % at ambient conditions (5 kPa of CO2 partial pressure). However, the detailed morphology of the membrane has not been discussed. The immiscibility of PAMAM dendrimer and PEG matrix results in phase separation, which takes place in a couple of microns scale. Especially, laser scanning confocal microscope captures a 3D morphology of the polymeric blend. The obtained 3D reconstructions demonstrate a bicontinuous structure of PAMAM dendrimer‐rich and PEG‐rich phases, which indicates the presence of PAMAM dendrimer channel penetrating the polymeric membrane, and CO2 will preferentially pass through the dendrimer channel. In addition, Fourier transform of the 3D reconstructions indicates the presence of a periodic structure. An average size of the dendrimer domain calculated is 2–4 μm in proportion to PAMAM dendrimer concentration. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part B: Polym Phys, 2012  相似文献

We report preliminary results for the synthesis of polyethylene‐graft‐poly(dimethylsiloxane) copolymers obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of polybutadiene‐graft‐poly(dimethylsiloxane) copolymers (PB‐g‐PDMS). These last copolymers were synthesized by hydrosilylation reactions between commercial polybutadiene and ω‐silane poly(dimethylsiloxane). The reaction was carried in solution catalyzed by cis‐dichloro bis(diethylsufide) platinum(II) salt. The PB‐g‐PDMS copolymers were analyzed by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies, and the relative weight percentages of the grafted poly(dimethylsiloxane) macromonomer were determined from the integrated peak areas of the spectra. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The synthesis and characterization of novel tricomponent networks consisting of well‐defined poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) strands crosslinked and reinforced by poly(pentamethylcyclopentasiloxane) (PD5) domains are described. Network synthesis occurred by dissolving α,ω‐diallyl PEG and α,ω‐divinyl PDMS prepolymers in a common solvent (toluene), introducing a stoichiometric excess of pentamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5H) to the charge, inducing the cohydrosilation of the prepolymers by Karstedt's catalyst and completing network formation by the addition of water. Water in the presence of the Pt‐based catalyst oxidizes the SiH groups of D5H to SiOH functions that immediately polycondense and bring about crosslinking. The progress of cohydrosilation and polycondensation was followed by monitoring the disappearance of the SiH and SiOH functions by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Because cohydrosilation and polycondensation are essentially quantitative, overall network composition can be controlled by calculating the stoichiometry of the three network constituents. The very low quantities of extractable (sol) fractions corroborate efficient crosslinking. The networks swell in both water and hexanes. Differential scanning calorimetry showed three thermal transitions assigned, respectively, to PEG (melting temperature: 46–60 °C depending on composition), PDMS [glass‐transition temperature (Tg) = ~?121 °C], and PD5 (Tg = ~?159 °C) and indicated a phase‐separated tricomponent nanoarchitecture. The low Tg of the PD5 phase is unprecedented. The strength and elongation of PEG/PD5/PDMS networks can be controlled by overall network composition. The synthesis of networks exhibiting sufficient mechanical properties (tensile stress: 2–5 MPa, elongation: 100–800%) for various possible applications has been demonstrated. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Well‐defined star‐shaped hydrophobic poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) and hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) amphiphilic conetworks (APCNs) have been synthesized via the combination of ring opening polymerization (ROP) and click chemistry. Alkyne‐terminated six arm star‐shaped PCL (6‐s‐PCLx‐C?CH) and azido‐terminated PEG (N3‐PEG‐N3) are characterized by 1H NMR and FT‐IR. The swelling degree of the APCNs is determined both in water and organic solvent. This unique property of the conetworks is dependent on the nanophase separation of hydrophilic and hydrophobic phases. The morphology and thermal behaviors of the APCNs are investigated by SEM and DSC respectively. The biocompatibility is determined by water soluble tetrazolium salt reagents (WST‐1) assay, which shows the new polymer networks had good biocompatibility. Through in vitro release of paclitaxel (PTX) and doxorubicin (DOX), the APCNs is confirmed to be promising drug depot materials for sustained hydrophobic and hydrophilic drugs. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Biodegradable star‐shaped poly(ethylene glycol)‐block‐poly(lactide) copolymers were synthesized by ring‐opening polymerization of lactide, using star poly(ethylene glycol) as an initiator and potassium hexamethyldisilazide as a catalyst. Polymerizations were carried out in toluene at room temperature. Two series of three‐ and four‐armed PEG‐PLA copolymers were synthesized and characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) as well as 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The polymerization under the used conditions is very fast, yielding copolymers of controlled molecular weight and tailored molecular architecture. The chemical structure of the copolymers investigated by 1H and 13C NMR indicates the formation of block copolymers. The monomodal profile of molecular weight distribution by GPC provided further evidence of controlled and defined star‐shaped copolymers as well as the absence of cyclic oligomeric species. The effects of copolymer composition and lactide stereochemistry on the physical properties were investigated by GPC and differential scanning calorimetry. For the same PLA chain length, the materials obtained in the case of linear copolymers are more viscous, whereas in the case of star copolymer, solid materials are obtained with reduction in their Tg and Tm temperatures. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(oxyethylene‐H‐phosphonate)s (POE‐H‐Ps), with different poly(oxyethylene) segment lengths, were synthesized via conventional two‐stage polycondensation reaction of dimethyl‐H‐phosphonate and poly(ethylene glycols) (PEGs), with nominal molecular weights of 400, 600, and 1000 Da. The changes in the composition of the reaction mixtures during the polycondensation process were followed by size‐exclusion chromatography (SEC) and NMR. It was found that the three PEG fragments yield reproducibly POE‐H‐Ps with the following molecular weights: ~3000 Da (PEG‐400), ~6000 Da (PEG‐600), and ~10,000 Da (PEG‐1000) as measured by SEC, NMR, and VPO. The hydrolytic behavior of POE‐H‐Ps upon storage and in aqueous media with pH 3, 7.4, and 8 was studied for the first time by a combination of NMR and SEC. It was found that the long‐term stability of the polymers in dry state depends on the length of the PEG fragments and decreased in the following order: POE‐H‐P(PEG‐1000) > POE‐H‐P(PEG‐600) > POE‐H‐P(PEG‐400). The hydrolytic transformation of the polymers in aqueous media is affected mostly by the pH of the solution. The degradation products are PEG fragments containing phosphonate end groups—an important prerequisite for the usage of the POE‐H‐Ps as nontoxic drug delivery vehicles and in vivo precursors for PEGylated prodrugs. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Per‐2,3‐acetyl‐β‐cyclodextrin with seven primary hydroxyl groups was synthesized by selective modification and used as multifunctional initiator for the ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone (CL). Well‐defined β‐cyclodextrin‐centered seven‐arm star poly(ε‐caprolactone)s (CDSPCLs) with narrow molecular weight distributions (≤1.15) have been successfully prepared in the presence of Sn(Oct)2 at 120 °C. The molecular weight of CDSPCLs was characterized by end group 1H NMR analyses and size‐exclusion chromatography (SEC), which could be well controlled by the molar ratio of the monomer to the initiator. Furthermore, amphiphilic seven‐arm star poly(ε‐caprolactone‐b‐ethylene glycol)s (CDSPCL‐b‐PEGs) were synthesized by the coupling reaction of CDSPCLs with carboxyl‐terminated mPEGs. 1H NMR and SEC analyses confirmed the expected star block structures. Differential scanning calorimetry analyses suggested that the melting temperature (Tm), the crystallization temperature (Tc), and the crystallinity degree (Xc) of CDSPCLs all increased with the increasing of the molecular weight, and were lower than that of the linear poly(ε‐caprolactone). As for CDSPCL‐b‐PEGs, the Tc and Tm of the PCL blocks were significantly influenced by the PEG segments in the copolymers. Moreover, these amphiphilic star block copolymers could self‐assemble into spherical micelles with the particle size ranging from 10 to 40 nm. Their micellization behaviors were characterized by dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Tri‐block copolymers of linear poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and hyperbranched poly‐3‐ethyl‐3‐(hydroxymethyl)oxetane (poly‐TMPO) are reported. The novel dumb‐bell shaped polyethers were synthesized in bulk with cationic ringopening polymerization utilizing BF3OEt2 as initiator, via drop‐wise addition of the oxetane monomer. The thermal properties of the materials were successfully tuned by varying the amount of poly‐TMPO attached to the PEG‐chains, ranging from a melting point of 54 °C and a degree of crystallinity of 76% for pure PEG, to a melting point of 35 °C and a degree of crystallinity of 12% for the polyether copolymer having an average of 14 TMPO units per PEG chain. The materials are of relatively low polydispersity, with Mn/Mw ranging from 1.2 to 1.4. The materials have been evaluated for usage with the energetic oxidizer ammonium dinitramide. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 47: 6191–6200, 2009  相似文献

Triblock copolymers of poly(styrenesulfonate)‐b‐poly(ethylene glycol)‐b‐poly(styrenesulfonate) with narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn = 1.28–1.40) and well‐defined structure have been synthesized in aqueous solution at 70 °C via reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer polymerization. Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) capped with 4‐cyanopentanoic acid dithiobenzoate end groups was used as the macro chain transfer agent (PEG macro‐CTA) for sole monomer sodium 4‐styrenesulfonate. The reaction was controllable and displayed living polymerization characteristics and the triblock copolymer had designed molecular weight. The reaction rate depended strongly on the CTA and initiator concentration ratio [CTA]0/[ACPA]0: an increase in [CTA]0/[ACPA]0 from 1.0 to 5.0 slowed down the polymerization rate and improved the molecular weight distribution with a prolonged induction time. The polymerization proceeded, following first‐order kinetics when [CTA]0/[ACPA]0 = 2.5 and 5.0. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 45: 3698–3706, 2007  相似文献

An amphiphilic block copolymer, poly(ethylene glycol)‐block‐poly(L ‐lactide‐co‐2‐methyl‐2‐benzoxycarbonyl‐propylene carbonate) [PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MBC)], was synthesized in bulk by the ring‐opening polymerization of L ‐lactide with 2‐methyl‐2‐benzoxycarbonyl‐propylene carbonate (MBC) in the presence of poly(ethylene glycol) as a macroinitiator with diethyl zinc as a catalyst. The subsequent catalytic hydrogenation of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MBC) with palladium hydroxide on activated charcoal (20%) as a catalyst was carried out to obtain the corresponding linear copolymer poly(ethyleneglycol)‐block‐poly(L ‐lactide‐co‐2‐methyl‐2‐carboxyl‐propylenecarbonate) [PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MCC)] with pendant carboxyl groups. DSC analysis indicated that the glass‐transition temperature (Tg) of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MBC) decreased with increasing MBC content in the copolymer, and Tg of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MCC) was higher than that of the corresponding PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MBC). The in vitro degradation rate of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MCC) in the presence of proteinase K was faster than that of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MBC), and the cytotoxicity of PEG‐b‐P(LA‐co‐MCC) to chondrocytes from human fetal arthrosis was lower than that of poly(L ‐lactide). © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(L ‐lactide) (PLLA)/poly(butylene succinate‐co‐butylene adipate) (PBSA) blends were compounded with Cloisite 25A® (C25A) and C25A functionalized with epoxy groups, respectively. Epoxy groups on the surface of C25A were introduced by treating C25A with (glycidoxypropyl)trimethoxy silane (GPS) to produce so called Twice Functionalized Organoclay (TFC). Variation of morphology and properties of PLLA/PBSA/C25A composites was investigated before and after the treatment with GPS. The morphological structure of the composites was analyzed by using X‐ray diffractometry (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The silicate layers of PLLA/PBSA/TFC were exfoliated to a larger extent than PLLA/PBSA/C25A. Incorporation of the epoxy groups on C25A improved significantly elongation at break as well as tensile modulus and tensile strength of PLLA/PBSA/C25A. The larger amount of exfoliation of the silicate layers in PLLA/PBSA/TFC as compared with that in PLLA/PBSA/C25A was attributed to the increased interfacial interaction between the polyesters and the clay due to chemical reaction. Thermo gravimetric analysis revealed that both T5%, which was the temperature corresponding to 5% weight loss, and activation energy of thermal decomposition of PLLA/PBSA/TFC were far superior to those of PLLA/PBSA/C25A as well as to those of PLLA/PBSA, indicating that the composites with exfoliated silicate layers were more thermally stable than those with intercalated silicate layers. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A general method of modifying the entire cross section of porous poly(ether sulfone) membranes with a low‐temperature CO2‐plasma treatment is reported. Both surfaces of the membranes are highly hydrophilic, with a water drop on the surface disappearing in less than 1 s, even 6 months after plasma treatment. This high hydrophilicity of both membrane surfaces results from the incorporation of hydrophilic functionalities, as evidenced by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The incorporation of these hydrophilic functionalities takes place primarily during plasma treatment, with some incorporation of atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen immediately upon exposure to air. Scanning electron microscopy shows that the membrane surface is covered by a thin, white layer that is likely the result of etching and redeposition of sputtered surface fragments. An increase in the water bubble point and glass‐transition temperature is also observed for CO2‐plasma‐treated membranes. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. New Y‐shaped (AB2‐type) amphiphilic copolymers of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) with poly(trimethylene carbonate) (PTMC), PEG‐b‐(PTMC)2, were successfully synthesized by the ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of TMC with bishydroxy‐modified monomethoxy‐PEG (mPEG). First, a bishydroxy functional ROP initiator was synthesized by esterification of acryloyl bromide with mPEG, followed by Michael addition using excess diethanolamine. A series of Y‐shaped amphiphilic PEG‐(PTMC)2 block copolymers were obtained via ROP of TMC using this PEG with bishydroxyl end groups as macroinitiator and ZnEt2 as catalyst. The amphiphilic block copolymers with different compositions were characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and 1H NMR, and their molecular weight was measured by GPC. The results showed that the molecular weight of Y‐shaped copolymers increased with the increase of the molar ratio of TMC to mPEG‐(OH)2 initiator in feed while the PEG chain length was kept constant. The Y‐shaped copolymer mPEG‐(PTMC)2 could self‐assemble into micelles in aqueous medium and the critical micelle concentration values of the micelles decrease with increase in hydrophobic PTMC block length of mPEG‐(PTMC)2. The in vitro cytotoxicity and controlled drug release properties of the Y‐shaped amphiphilic block copolymers were also investigated. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Various amounts of diethylene glycol bis[4‐(4′‐ethoxybenzoyloxy)benzoate] (DEBEB) were added into a poly(cis‐butadiene) (PB) membrane to improve its gas permeation ability. This type of rubber/liquid crystal (LC) composite membranes showed two obvious characteristics that are different from the gas permeation behavior reported in previous literature: (1) The permeabilities to O2, N2, and CO2 were enhanced at room temperature, for example, the permeabilities for the PB/DEBEB (90/10) membrane were higher above six times than those of PB membrane under the same conditions. It is suggested that the interface microvoids probably existed on pontes between polar crystal domains and nonpolar PB matrix. (2) All relationships between the permeability coefficient (P) and temperature (T) were characterized by N‐shape, that is, there were the peaks and valleys on the PT curves. Furthermore, morphology studies demonstrated that when DEBEB content in the membranes was above 10 wt %, it was spherically dispersed and embedded in the PB matrix in a crystal domain state. Gas permeation characteristics of the composite membranes were appropriately interpreted as together influence results of DEBEB phase transition behavior and the membrane morphology. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A series of amphiphilic graft copolymers consisting of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) main chains and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) side chains, i.e. PVC‐g‐PVP, was synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), as confirmed by 1H NMR, FT‐IR spectroscopy, and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and small angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) analysis revealed the microphase‐separated structure of PVC‐g‐PVP and the domain spacing increased from 21.4 to 23.9 nm with increasing grafting degree. All the membranes exhibited completely amorphous structure and high Young's modulus and tensile strength, as revealed by wide angle X‐ray scattering (WAXS) and universal testing machine (UTM). Permeation experimental results using a CO2/N2 (50/50) mixture indicated that as an amount of PVP in a copolymer increased, CO2 permeability increased without the sacrifice of selectivity. For example, the CO2 permeability of PVC‐g‐PVP with 36 wt% of PVP at 35°C was about four times higher than that of the pristine PVC membrane. This improvement resulted from the increase of diffusivity due to the disruption of chain packing in PVC by the grafting of PVP, as confirmed by WAXS analysis. Telechelic hydroxylated poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate) (PHB‐diol) oligomers have been successfully synthesized in 90–95% yield from high molar mass PHB by tin‐catalyzed alcoholysis with different diols (mainly 1,4‐butanediol) in diglyme. The PHB‐diol oligomers structure was studied by nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy MALDI‐ToF MS, and size exclusion chromatography, whereas their crystalline structures, thermal properties and thermal stability were analyzed by wide angle X‐ray scattering, DSC, and thermogravimetric analyses. The kinetic of the alcoholysis was studied and the influence of (i) the catalyst amount, (ii) the diol amount, (iii) the reaction temperature, and (iv) the diol chain length on the molar mass was discussed. The influence of the PHB‐diol molar mass on the thermal stability, the thermal properties and optical properties was investigated. Then, tin‐catalyzed poly(ester‐ether‐urethane)s (PEEU) of Mn = 15,000–20,000 g/mol were synthesized in 1,2‐dichloroethane from PHB‐diol oligomers (Pester) with modified 4,4'‐MDI and different polyether‐diols (Pether) (PEG‐2000, PEG‐4000, and PPG‐PEG‐PPG). The influence of the PHB‐diol chain length, the Pether/Pester ratio, the polyether segment nature and the PEG chain length on the thermal properties and crystalline structures of PEEUs was particularly discussed. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
