We consider the hyperbolic integro-differential equation of acoustics. The direct problem is to determine the acoustic pressure created by a concentrated excitation source located at the boundary of a spatial domain from the initial boundary-value problem for this equation. For this direct problem, we study the inverse problem, which consists in determining the onedimensional kernel of the integral term from the known solution of the direct problem at the point x = 0 for t > 0. This problem reduces to solving a system of integral equations in unknown functions. The latter is solved by using the principle of contraction mapping in the space of continuous functions. The local unique solvability of the posed problem is proved.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

An integro-differential Dirac system with a convolution kernel consisting of four independent functions is considered. We prove that the kernel is uniquely determined by specifying the spectra of two boundary value problems with one common boundary condition. The proof is based on the reduction of this nonlinear inverse problem to solving some nonlinear integral equation, which we solve globally. On this basis we also obtain a constructive procedure for solving the inverse problem along with necessary and sufficient conditions for its solvability in an appropriate class of kernels.  相似文献

We prove several new results on the absolutely continuous spectra of perturbed one-dimensional Stark operators. First, we find new classes of perturbations, characterized mainly by smoothness conditions, which preserve purely absolutely continuous spectrum. Then we establish stability of the absolutely continuous spectrum in more general situations, where imbedded singular spectrum may occur. We present two kinds of optimal conditions for the stability of absolutely continuous spectrum: decay and smoothness. In the decay direction, we show that a sufficient (in the power scale) condition is |q(x)|≤C(1+|x|)?1/4?ε; in the smoothness direction, a sufficient condition in Hölder classes isqC1/2+ε(R). On the other hand, we show that there exist potentials which both satisfy |q(x)|≤C(1+|x|)?1/4 and belong toC1/2(R) for which the spectrum becomes purely singular on the whole real axis, so that the above results are optimal within the scales considered.  相似文献

We consider a system of hyperbolic integro-differential equations for SH waves in a visco-elastic porous medium. The inverse problem is to recover a kernel (memory) in the integral term of this system. We reduce this problem to solving a system of integral equations for the unknown functions. We apply the principle of contraction mappings to this system in the space of continuous functions with a weight norm. We prove the global unique solvability of the inverse problem and obtain a stability estimate of a solution of the inverse problem.  相似文献

For a linear boundary value problem for a Fredholm integro-differential equation, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the unique solvability in terms of a matrix Q ν m (h) formed on the basis of the matrices of boundary conditions, the differential part, the integral term, and a partition with increment h > 0 of the interval on which the problem is defined.  相似文献

The problem of determining the kernel h(t), t ∈ [0, T], appearing in the system of integro-differential thermoviscoelasticity equations is considered. It is assumed that the coefficients of the equations depend only on one space variable. The inverse problem is replaced by the equivalent system of integral equations for unknown functions. The contraction mapping principle with weighted norms is applied to this system in the space of continuous functions. A global unique solvability theorem is proved and an estimate of the stability of the solution of the inverse problem is obtained.  相似文献

We consider systems of integral-algebraic and integro-differential equations with weakly singular kernels. Although these problem classes are not in the focus of the main stream literature, they are interesting, not only in their own right, but also because they may arise from the analysis of certain classes of differential-algebraic systems of partial differential equations. In the first part of the paper, we deal with two-dimensional integral-algebraic equations. Next, we analyze Volterra integral equations of the first kind in which the determinant of the kernel matrix k(t, x) vanishes when t = x. Finally, the third part of the work is devoted to the analysis of degenerate integro-differential systems. The aim of the paper is to specify conditions which are sufficient for the existence of a unique continuous solution to the above problems. Theoretical findings are illustrated by a number of examples.  相似文献

We consider a hyperbolic system of quasilinear equations written in Riemann invariants for the case of one spatial variable. For this system, we obtain sufficient conditions for the global generalized continuous solvability of the mixed problem in the class of functions monotone with respect to x for arbitrary t and with respect to t for x = 0. In contrast to earlier studies, we assume that the boundary conditions may depend not only on time but also on the unknown functions.  相似文献

The paper looks for the solutions of integro-differential equations of the form
$ - \frac{{d\varphi }}{{dx}} + A\varphi (x) = g(x) + B\int_\mathbb{R} {k(x - t)\lambda (t)\varphi (t)dt, x \in \mathbb{R}} $
in the class of functions which are absolutely continuous and of slow growth on ?. It is assumed that A and B are nonnegative parameters, 0 ≤ gL 1 (?), 0 ≤ kL 1 (?), ∫? k(x) dx = 1 and 0 ≤ λ(x) ≤ 1 is a measurable function in ?. The equation is solved by a special factorization of the corresponding integro-differential operator in combination with appropriately modified standard methods of the theory of convolution type integral equations.

We investigate the solvability of functional equations f(p(x)) =  q(f(x)) for given functions p and q which are partially or completely defined on the set of all real numbers. For these investigations, we use methods for constructions of homomorphisms of mono-unary algebras. We can present a simple characterisation of solvability of the above equation in the case that p, q are strictly increasing and continuous functions. It gives, on the one hand, a practical use for a class of functional equations. On the other hand, it is a contribution to questions on topological conjugacy of monotonous real functions.  相似文献

An integro-differential equation corresponding to a two-dimensional problem of electrodynamics with dispersion is considered. It is assumed that the electrodynamic properties of a nonconducting medium with a constant magnetic permeability and the external current are independent of the x 3 coordinate. In this case, the third component of the electric field vector satisfies a second-order scalar integro-differential equation with a variable permittivity of the medium. For this equation, we study the problem of finding the spatial part of the kernel entering the integral term. This corresponds to finding the part of the permittivity that depends on the electromagnetic frequency. It is assumed that the permittivity support is contained in some compact domain Ω ? ?2. To find this coefficient inside Ω, we use information on the solution of the corresponding direct problem on the boundary of Ω on a finite time interval. An estimate for the conditional stability of the solution of the inverse problem is established under the assumption that the time interval is sufficiently large.  相似文献

In our preceding papers, we obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of an (n?1)-dimensionally continuous solution of the Dirichlet problem in a bounded domain Q ? ? n under natural restrictions imposed on the coefficients of the general second-order elliptic equation, but these conditions were formulated in terms of an auxiliary operator equation in a special Hilbert space and are difficult to verify. We here obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the problem solvability in terms of the initial problem for a somewhat narrower class of right-hand sides of the equation and also prove that the obtained conditions become the solvability conditions in the space W 2 1 (Q) under the additional requirement that the boundary function belongs to the space W 2 1/2 (?Q).  相似文献

A new approach to one-dimensional inverse problem was recently introduced by Barry Simon. We continue the study on an intermediate object A, which satisfies a nonlinear integro-differential equation. We prove local solvability of this A-equation and find a necessary condition for global solvability. Some exact solutions are presented.  相似文献

We define the set of ordered covering of a mapping that acts in partially ordered spaces; we suggest a method for finding the set of ordered covering of vector functions of several variables and the Nemytskii operator acting in Lebesgue spaces. We prove assertions on operator inequalities in arbitrary partially ordered spaces. We obtain conditions that use a set of ordered covering of the corresponding mapping and ensure that the existence of an element u such that f(u) ≥ y implies the solvability of the equation f(x) = y and the estimate xu for its solution. We study the problem on the existence of the minimal and least solutions. These results are used for the analysis of an implicit differential equation. For the Cauchy problem, we prove a theorem on an inequality of the Chaplygin type.  相似文献

In the Sobolev space W 2 (?+) we investigate one initial boundary-value problem for integro-differential equation of the second order with power nonlinearity on a semi-axis. Assuming that summary-difference even kernel serves for the considered kernel as minorant in the sense of M. A. Krasnosel’skii, we prove the existence of a nonnegative (nontrivial) solution in the Sobolev spaceW 2 (?+). We also calculate the limits of constructed solution at infinity.  相似文献

The existence and uniqueness in Hölder spaces of classical solutions of the Cauchy problem to parabolic integro-differential equation of the order α ∈ (0, 2) is investigated. The principal part of the operator has kernel m(t, x, y)/|y| d?+?α with a bounded nondegenerate m, Hölder in x and measurable in y. The result is applied to prove the uniqueness of the corresponding martingale problem.  相似文献

The resolvent approach in the Fourier method, combined with Krylov’s ideas concerning convergence acceleration for Fourier series, is used to obtain a classical solution of a mixed problem for the wave equation with a summable potential, fixed ends, a zero initial position, and an initial velocity ψ(x), where ψ(x) is absolutely continuous, ψ'(x) ∈ L 2[0,1], and ψ(0) = ψ(1) = 0. In the case ψ(x) ∈ L[0,1], it is shown that the series of the formal solution converges uniformly and is a weak solution of the mixed problem.  相似文献

We consider the problem of finding the kernel K(t), for t ∈ [0, T], in the integrodifferential system of electroviscoelasticity. We assume that the coefficients depend only on one spatial variable. Replacing the inverse problem with an equivalent system of integral equations, we apply the contraction mapping principle in the space of continuous functions with weighted norms. We prove a global unique solvability theorem and obtain a stability estimate for the solution to the inverse problem.  相似文献

We study the unique solvability of the mixed Dirichlet-Steklov problem for the biharmonic equation in exterior domains under the assumption that a generalized solution of this problem has a bounded Dirichlet integral with weight |x| a . Depending on the value of the parameter a, we prove uniqueness theorem or present exact formulas for the dimension of the solution space of the mixed Dirichlet-Steklov problem in the exterior of a compact set.  相似文献

We consider the problem of passing to the limit in a sequence of nonlinear elliptic problems. The “limit” equation is known in advance, but it has a nonclassical structure; namely, it contains the p-Laplacian with variable exponent p = p(x). Such equations typically exhibit a special kind of nonuniqueness, known as the Lavrent’ev effect, and this is what makes passing to the limit nontrivial. Equations involving the p(x)-Laplacian occur in many problems of mathematical physics. Some applications are included in the present paper. In particular, we suggest an approach to the solvability analysis of a well-known coupled system in non-Newtonian hydrodynamics (“stationary thermo-rheological viscous flows”) without resorting to any smallness conditions.  相似文献
