Optical absorption, emission and excitation spectra, lifetimes of 4S3/2 state and 4F9/2 state from 10K to 500K, and Raman spectra were measured for Er3+ ions in fluoride glass. The radiative transition probabilities were calculated on the basis of Judd-Ofelt theory. The nonradiative transition probabilities and the quantum efficiencies were determined by calculating the difference between the measured lifetimes and the calculated radiative transition probabilities. The temperature dependence of nonradiative transition provavility was investigated using the Huang-Rhys theory of multiphonon relaxation , in which two kinds of phonons as well as the parameter s were taken into consideration. A fairly good agreement of the theoretical calculation with the experimental results has been obtained. The value of s is estimated and the effect of s is discussed.  相似文献

测量了掺Ho3+离子的氟玻璃的吸收光谱,激发光谱、发射光谱,10K~660K不同温度下的激发态寿命及氟玻璃的拉曼光谱.根据Judd-ofelt理论计算了辐射跃迁几率,进而计算了不同温度下的无辐射联迁几率.利用Huang-Rhys多声子跃迁理论分析了无辐射跃迁几率与温度的关系.在分析中考虑到不同频率声子的参与,并考虑到黄昆因子,得到与实验很好的符合.由理论和实验的拟合中估计了黄昆因子的大小,讨论了黄昆因子在无辐射跃迁中的作用.  相似文献

Optical spectra, radiative and nonradiative transition intensities, and luminescence kinetics of neodymium-doped potassium-lead double chloride crystals Nd3+:KPb2Cl5, (Nd3+:KPC) are investigated. Crystals were grown by the Stockbarger-Bridgman technique. Experimental studies of absorption and luminescence spectra are performed, intensity parameters are obtained by the Judd-Ofelt method, radiative transition probabilities and branching ratios are calculated, and nonradiative transition probabilities are estimated. Luminescence kinetics of 2 K 13/2, 2 P 3/2, and 4 D 3/2 radiative levels of neodymium under selective excitation in the 355-nm region are studied.  相似文献

The polarized absorption, emission spectra and decay time measurements of Pr3+-doped CaYAlO4 single crystal have been performed at room temperature. Based on the Judd–Ofelt theory, the spectroscopic parameters \(\Upomega_{t} (t = 2,4,6)\) , radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes and branching ratios were obtained. The stimulated emission cross-section, fluorescence lifetimes and the quantum efficiency of the promising laser transition were also calculated and compared with other reported crystals. The results show that Pr3+:CaYAlO4 is a promising candidate for visible solid-state laser emission.  相似文献

Tm3+-doped CaNb2O6 single crystal was successfully grown by the Czochralski technique. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, three spectroscopic parameters Ωt (t=2,4,6), radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes, branching ratios and oscillator strengths were obtained according to the absorption spectra and the fluorescence spectra. Both the radiative lifetimes corresponding to the 3F43H6 transition for the bulk and the powder samples were recorded, and the final value of the radiative lifetime was obtained to be 2.25 ms, which indicates the existence of the luminescence re-absorption in the bulk sample. The corresponding quantum efficiency of the 3F4 level was calculated to be 96%.  相似文献

Absolute quantum yields and luminescence lifetimes were measured for Eu, Tb, Gd, formates and Y formate activated by Eu3+ as functions of temperature, deuterium substitution in ligands, and Eu3+ concentration in Y formates. Radiative and nonradiative transition probabilities in the lanthanide formates were determined using the quantum yield φ and luminescence lifetime τ. The probabilities of radiative transitions in Eu3+ were also found by employing corrected luminescence spectra. Relaxation mechanisms of electronic excitation energy in the studied crystals were discussed.  相似文献

The Tm3+/Er3+:NaGd(MoO4)2 crystal with dimensions of Φ22×30 mm3 was grown by Czochralski method. Polarized spectra and fluorescence lifetime for the 4I13/2(Er3+)→4I15/2(Er3+) transition at room temperature were investigated. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the spontaneous transition probabilities, the fluorescent branching ratios and the radiative lifetimes were calculated. The fluorescence lifetime was measured to be 1.81 ms. The detailed excited-transition mechanism with 800 nm radiation is also discussed.  相似文献

Crystals of YVO4:Ho were grown by the Czochralski method. The structure of the low-energy levels of Ho3+ has been estimated experimentally. Intensity parameters, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios have been calculated in the framework of the Judd–Ofelt theory. The influence of temperature on luminescence lifetimes has been investigated. The calculated nonradiative transition rate was compared with the energy-gap law. Nd3+ ions doped alkaline-earth titanium phosphate glasses were prepared by using the conventional melt quenching method. Absorption spectra were recorded and oscillator strengths of the transitions were calculated using area under the absorption bands. The energy level analysis was carried out by using free-ion Hamiltonian model. The three host dependent Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters, Ωλ (λ = 2, 4, and 6) were used to elucidate the structure of glassy matrix around Nd3+ ion as well as to determine the 4F3/2 metastable state radiative properties such as radiative transition probabilities, branching ratios and radiative lifetimes. The decay curves of all the three glasses show single exponential behavior. The discrepancy between the experimental and calculated lifetimes of emitting level was attributed to multiphonon relaxation. The achieved high quantum efficiencies for the 4F3/2 level indicate efficient laser emission at 1.06 μm in these glass systems.  相似文献

Na0.4Y0.6F2.2:Tm3+ crystals with a thulium content from 1 to 100 at % have been grown by the Stockbarger-Bridgman method. The optical spectra of Na0.4Y0.6F2.2:Tm3+ crystals were investigated in detail at room and low (10 K) temperatures, and the luminescence kinetics was analyzed using different excitation methods. The structure of the Stark splitting of thulium levels as “quasi-centers,” characterized by inhomogeneous broadening of the Stark components, is determined from analysis of the absorption spectrum at 10 K. The oscillator strengths of the transitions from the ground state to excited multiplets are determined from the absorption cross-section spectra at 300 K for ten transitions in the range 5000–38 500 cm?1 and seven transitions in the range 5000–28 500 cm?1. The transition intensity parameters Ω t , obtained by the Judd-Ofelt method from the spectra due to the transitions to ten and seven excited levels, were found to be, respectively, (i) Ω2 = 1.89 × 10?20, Ω4 = 2.16 × 10?20, and Ω6 = 1.40 × 10?20 cm2 and (ii) Ω2 = 2.04 × 10?20, Ω4 = 2.01 × 10?20, and Ω6 = 1.44 × 10?20 cm2. These values of the intensity parameters were used to calculate the radiative transition probabilities and branching ratios and to estimate the multiphonon nonradiative transition probabilities for NYF:Tm. The luminescence decay kinetics from thulium radiative levels upon their selective excitation by nanosecond laser pulses has been studied and the lifetimes of thulium radiative levels in NYF crystals have been found.  相似文献

Single crystal of Tm3+: Li6Gd (BO3)3 was grown by the Czochralski method. The heat capacity was measured from 308 to 673 K. The absorption spectra of the crystal in three mutually perpendicular arbitrary directions were measured at room temperature. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory and the spectra measured in three mutually perpendicular directions, the intensity parameters Ωt (t=2, 4, 6), the line strengths, the oscillator strengths, the radiative rates, radiative lifetimes and fluorescent branching ratios were calculated. We calculated the emission cross-section by the reciprocity method and also obtained the gain cross-section.  相似文献

Absorption spectrum from 400 to 2000 nm and upconversion fluorescence spectra under 940 nm pumping of YAG single crystal codoped with 5 at.% Yb3+ and 4 at.% Tm3+ were studied at room temperature. The blue upconversion emission centered at 483 nm corresponds to the transition 1G4 → 3H6, the emission band around 646 nm corresponds to the transition 1G4 → 3F4 of Tm3+. Energy transfer from Yb3+ to Tm3+ is mainly nonradiative and the transfer efficiency was experimentally assessed. The line strengths, transition probabilities and radiative lifetimes of 1G4 level were calculated by using Judd-Ofelt theory. Gain coefficient calculated from spectra shows that the upconversion corresponding with transitions 1G4 → 3H6 in YAG doped with Yb3+ and Tm3+ is potentially useful for blue light output.  相似文献

The polarized absorption and emission spectra of Pr3+ ions in SrWO4 single crystals were investigated at room temperature. The standard and modified Judd–Ofelt theories have been applied to analyze the polarized absorption spectra to determine the spectroscopic parameters, including the Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters Ωt (t=2,4,6), radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes and branching ratios. Ca0.89Y0.11F2.11:Er3+ (CYF:Er) crystals with an erbium content of 1–15 at % have been grown. The optical spectra and luminescence kinetics of CYF:Er crystals have been investigated at low (~5 K) and room temperatures. Based on an analysis of the absorption spectra at low temperature, the structure of Stark splitting of erbium levels in CYF:Er crystals is determined. Room-temperature absorption spectra are used to calculate the spectra of absorption cross sections and oscillator strengths of transitions from the erbium ground state to excited multiplets. It is shown that the absorption spectrum of CYF:Er crystals contains broad bands in the ranges of 790–815 and 965–980 nm, which correspond to the range of emission of laser diodes. For the band peaking near 967 nm, the peak absorption cross section is σ abs max = 2.7 × 10?21 cm2. The intensity parameters are determined by the Judd-Ofelt method to be Ω2 = 1.39 × 10?20, Ω4 = 1.34 × 10?20, and Ω6 = 2.24 × 10?20 cm2. The radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios are calculated with these values. The luminescence decay kinetics from excited erbium levels upon selective excitation is investigated and the experimental lifetimes of the 4F 9/2, 4 S 3/2, and 4 G 11/2 radiative erbium levels are determined. The dependences of multiphonon relaxation rates on the energy gap in CYF:Er crystals are obtained. The rates of nonradiative multiphonon relaxation from radiative erbium levels are determined.  相似文献

Er3+:SrMoO4 crystal of high optical quality was grown by the Czochralski method. The room temperature polarized absorption and emission spectra together with the lifetime decay curve were measured. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, three intensity parameters, radiative transition rates, radiative lifetimes and fluorescent branching ratios, were obtained. The fluorescence spectrum of a tellurium sample in its natural isotopic abundance, induced by the 4764.8 Å line of an argon ion laser is studied. The study of natural tellurium samples allows us to bring out and analyze the intensity of three fluorescence series not previously reported. Photographic plates and densitometric techniques were used when recording experimental intensities. The radiative transition probabilities for the observed fluorescence series were calculated by using hybrid Perturbed-Morse-Oscillator (PMO)-Rydberg–Klein–Rees (RKR)- Long Range potential energy curves for the B0+u and X0+g states and a function for the transition dipole moment in the framework of the r-centroid approximation. Radiative lifetimes of the rovibrational levels for the upper state pumped by the laser line have also been calculated. The transition probabilities and lifetimes are in good agreement with the corresponding observed measurements usually within the experimental uncertainty.  相似文献

The influence of erbium (Er3+) ion concentration on the infrared emission at 1.5 μm in TeO2-WO3 and TeO2-CdO-WO3 glasses was studied. The samples were prepared by conventional melt quenching method. The optical properties were studied by measuring the absorption and luminescence spectra at room temperature. The Judd-Ofelt parameters (Ωt), transition probabilities, branching ratios of various transitions and their radiative lifetimes were calculated from the optical absorption spectra. Absorption and emission cross-section spectra and the Stark Levels splitting for the 4I13/2 to 4I15/2 transition of Er3+ centered at 1.5 μm were determined.  相似文献
