In this note we point out that the definition of the universal enveloping dialgebra for a Leibniz algebra is consistent with the interpretation of a Leibniz algebra as a generalization not of a Lie algebra, but of the adjoint representation of a Lie algebra. From this point of view, the formal integration problem of Leibniz algebras is, essentially, trivial.  相似文献

Nelson and Stinespring proved that in any unitary representation of a Lie group with compact Lie algebra the representation of Hermitian elements in the enveloping algebra are essentially self-adjoint. If the Lie algebra is noncompact, we construct in its enveloping algebra a Hermitian element u such that in any locally faithful unitary representation the representative of u has no self-adjoint extension.  相似文献

This paper derives some optimization results for bilinear systems using a higher-order method by characterizing them over matrix Lie groups. In the derivation of the results, first a bilinear system is transformed to a left-invariant system on matrix Lie groups. Then, the product of exponential representation is used to express this system in canonical form. Next, the conditions for optimality are obtained by the principles of variational calculus. It is demonstrated that closed-form analytical solutions exist for classes of bilinear systems whose Lie algebra are nilpotent.  相似文献

We prove that the logarithm of the formal power series, obtained from a stochastic differential equation, is an element in the closure of the Lie algebra generated by vector fields being coefficients of equations. By using this result, we obtain a representation of the solution of stochastic differential equations in terms of Lie brackets and iterated Stratonovich integrals in the algebra of formal power series.  相似文献

Motivated by, but independent of, some recent work in quantumstochastic calculus, a theory of differential and integral calculusis developed which is intrinsic to the universal envelopingalgebra of a Lie algebra whose Lie bracket is obtained by takingcommutators in an associative algebra. The differential mapsatisfies a generalisation of Leibniz' formula called the Leibniz–Itôformula, which involves the associative multiplication. Thereis an analogue of the Taylor–Maclaurin expansion. We define admissible quasi-Hopf quantized universal enveloping (QHQUE) algebras by ?-adic valuation conditions. We show that any QHQUE algebra is twist-equivalent to an admissible one. We prove a related statement: any associator is twist-equivalent to a Lie associator. We attach a quantized formal series algebra to each admissible QHQUE algebra and study the resulting Poisson algebras.  相似文献

We prove the conjecture by Feigin, Fuchs, and Gelfand describing the Lie algebra cohomology of formal vector fields on an n-dimensional space with coefficients in symmetric powers of the coadjoint representation. We also compute the cohomology of the Lie algebra of formal vector fields that preserve a given ag at the origin. The latter encodes characteristic classes of ags of foliations and was used in the formulation of the local Riemann-Roch Theorem by Feigin and Tsygan.Feigin, Fuchs, and Gelfand described the first symmetric power and to do this they had to make use of a fearsomely complicated computation in invariant theory. By the application of degeneration theorems of appropriate Hochschild-Serre spectral sequences, we avoid the need to use the methods of FFG, and moreover, we are able to describe all the symmetric powers at once.  相似文献

In this article we consider several aspects of algebraic combinatorics and combinatorial algebra over fields of prime characteristics. P-super-Radford theorem gives the structure of the free associative algebra over a field of prime characteristic with the new multiplication given by the super shuffle product, we show that this algebra is isomorphic to the reduced free super commutative algebra on s-regular words. We prove the elimination theorem for free partially commutative color Lie p-superalgebras and obtain a Schreier type formula for free Lie p-superalgebras using formal power series techniques.  相似文献

We associate to each infinite primitive Lie pseudogroup a Hopf algebra of ‘transverse symmetries,’ by refining a procedure due to Connes and the first author in the case of the general pseudogroup. The affiliated Hopf algebra can be viewed as a ‘quantum group’ counterpart of the infinite-dimensional primitive Lie algebra of the pseudogroup. It is first constructed via its action on the étale groupoid associated to the pseudogroup, and then realized as a bicrossed product of a universal enveloping algebra by a Hopf algebra of regular functions on a formal group. The bicrossed product structure allows to express its Hopf cyclic cohomology in terms of a bicocyclic bicomplex analogous to the Chevalley-Eilenberg complex. As an application, we compute the relative Hopf cyclic cohomology modulo the linear isotropy for the Hopf algebra of the general pseudogroup, and find explicit cocycle representatives for the universal Chern classes in Hopf cyclic cohomology. As another application, we determine all Hopf cyclic cohomology groups for the Hopf algebra associated to the pseudogroup of local diffeomorphisms of the line.  相似文献

Consider a finite dimensional restricted Lie algebra over a field of prime characteristic. Each linear form on this Lie algebra defines a finite dimensional quotient of its universal enveloping algebra, called a reduced enveloping algebra. This leads to a Cartan matrix recording the multiplicities as composition factors of the simple modules in the projective indecomposable modules for such a reduced enveloping algebra. In this paper we show how to compare such Cartan matrices belonging to distinct linear forms. As an application we rederive and generalise the reciprocity formula first discovered by Humphreys for Lie algebras of reductive groups. For simple Lie algebras of Cartan type we see, for example, that the Cartan matrices for linear forms of non-positive height are submatrices of the Cartan matrix for the zero linear form.  相似文献

A quantised universal enveloping algebra (or quantum group) is a deformation of a universal enveloping algebra and acts not through the differential operators of its representation ring but through the quantised differential operators of its representation ring. We consider some kind of Hopf algebra assigned to any finite-dimensional Lie algebra. This algebra was pointed out by Hochschild. We prove several statements on its embeddings into an algebra of formal power series. In particular, we obtain similar results for Lie algebras. More precisely, a Lie algebra can be embedded into a Lie algebra of special derivations with coefficients in rational functions in (quasi)polynomials.  相似文献

We present an analogy of the famous formula that the square of the Pfaffian is equal to the determinant for an alternating matrix for the case where the entries are the generators of the orthogonal Lie algebras. This identity clarifies the relation between the two sets of central elements in the enveloping algebra of the orthogonal Lie algebras.
