通过数值求解二维含时薛定谔方程,理论研究了正交偏振双色激光场作用下H2+分子高次谐波发射和孤立阿秒脉冲的产生. 数值结果显示,改变激光场的强度比,可以调控高次谐波强度以及谐波椭偏率. 结果表明随着场强比的增加,y方向的谐波强度不断提高. 当场强比为1:2.5时,x方向和y方向分别仅有奇次谐波和偶次谐波产生,并且偶次谐波的强度比奇次谐波强度高2-3个数量级. 此时,奇次谐波的椭偏率最大可以达到0.3,偶次谐波的椭偏率接近于0. 此外,通过改变分子的准直角可以控制谐波的椭偏率,基于这一现象,利用椭圆偏振高次谐波的平台区合成了椭偏率为0.05的椭圆偏振阿秒脉冲链.  相似文献

利用单电子近似下锂原子精确的模型势,通过数值求解三维含时薛定谔方程的方法,研究了锂原子在激光场中发射低阶谐波的性质,研究结果表明,对于锂原子电离阈值以下的低阶谐波,除了通常的奇次谐波外,还有侧峰结构出现,运用同步压缩变换技术(SST)分析这些低阶谐波的辐射特性,我们发现这些侧峰是由原子在激光场中的缀饰态之间的跃迁和无场下激发态到基态的跃迁组成的,如果当激光脉冲结束后,仍有发射的侧峰,其位置与主峰之间的能量差可以用来估算原子激发态在激光场中的最大Stark移动.  相似文献

We investigate numerically and analytically the polarization properties of high-order harmonics generated by an atom in intense elliptically polarized laser field. The offset angle of the harmonic polarization ellipse can be well described with the semiclassic "simple-man" high-harmonic generation model. The harmonic ellipticity itself, however, can be hardly understood within this model. We show that this ellipticity originates from quantum-mechanical uncertainty of the electron motion. We develop a theoretical approach describing this ellipticity and, more generally, the time evolution of the high-harmonic polarization state within the laser cycle. The analytical results are verified with the exact numerical solution; to make the comparison accurately, we develop a specific technique for separating the contributions of quantum paths in the numerical calculation.  相似文献

The high-order harmonic generation from an asymmetric molecular ion is theoretically investigated based on the Born-Oppenheimer model with two-dimensional electron dynamics. It is shown that the harmonic intensity changes periodically in elliptically polarized laser fields. The periodical character is ellipticity-dependent. By establishing the physical image, the periodicity of the harmonic intensity can be ascribed to the contributions of the ground state and the excited state. Furthermore, the electron dynamics from different electronic states can be selected via combining the elliptically polarized laser field with a static electric field. The harmonics dominated either by ground state or excited state are emitted once in an optical cycle in the combined laser field.  相似文献

High-order harmonic generations from a one-dimensional Coulomb potential atom are calculated with the initial state prepared as a coherent superposition between its ground and first excited states. When the energy difference of the two states is small, we can choose proper laser pulse such that the first excited state can be excited only to other bound states instead of being ionized. We show that only the hyper-Raman lines are observable instead of the harmonics. The energy difference of the ground and the first excited state can be deduced from the highest peak of the hyper-Raman lines. We further show that the similar results can be obtained by using a combination of two laser pulses with different frequencies interacting with the atom initially at the ground state.  相似文献

We investigate the ellipticity of the high-order harmonic generation from the oriented H2+ exposed to a linearly polarized laser field by numerically solving the two-dimensional time-dependent Schrödinger equation (2D TDSE). Numerical simulations show that the harmonic ellipticity is remarkably sensitive to the alignment angle. The harmonic spectrum is highly elliptically polarized at a specific alignment angle θ=30°, which is insensitive to the variation of the laser parameters. The position of the harmonic intensity minima indicates the high ellipticity, which can be attributed to the two-center interference effect. The high ellipticity can be explained by the phase difference of the harmonics. This result facilitates the synthesis of a highly elliptical isolated attosecond pulse with duration down to 65 as, which can be served as a powerful tool to explore the ultrafast dynamics of molecules and study chiral light-matter interaction.  相似文献

We theoretically study the generation of high-order harmonics and attosecond pulses from the superposition of an initial state in helium atom driven by a three-color laser field. It is shown that when the initial state is chosen to be a single electronic state, due to the rapid depletion of the ground state, the efficiency of the spectral continuum will be decreased as the initial state increases. When the initial state is chosen to be the coherent superposition of the ground state and an arbitrary excited state, the efficiency of the spectral continuum can be enhanced compared to that from the single initial state. Further, with the optimization of the three-color laser beam, not only can the harmonic cutoff be extended to the water window X-ray region but also the spectral continuum is contributed by the single harmonic emission peak with the dominant short quantum path. Consequently, two combinations of the laser parameters can be found to generate the water window spectral continuum. By properly superposing some harmonics on the spectral continuum, a number of intense water window pulses with the duration of sub-35 as can be produced.  相似文献

High harmonic generation is compared in the dependence on the ellipticity of the fundamental laser radiation for an atomic and a molecular system. In particular argon and nitrogen are compared employing molecular beams and intense ( 3×1014 W/cm2) and ultrashort (80 fs) 800 nm laser pulses. It turns out that for all the harmonics under investigation (H5, H13 and H21) the harmonic yield decreases slower with the ellipticity for the molecule than for the atom. Rydberg state excitations of neutral nitric oxide molecules are studied in strong ultraviolet(UV) and near-infra-red(IR) laser fields using a linear time-of-flight(TOF) mass spectrometer with the pulsed electronic field ionization method.The yield of Rydberg molecules is measured as a function of laser intensity and ellipticity,and the results in UV laser fields are compared with those in near-IR laser fields.The present study provides the first experimental evidence of neutral Rydberg molecules surviving in a strong laser field.The results indicate that a rescattering-after-tunneling process is the main contribution to the formation of Rydberg molecules in strong near-IR laser fields,while multi-photon excitation may play an important role in the strong UV laser fields.  相似文献

We investigate high harmonics generated from rubidium atoms irradiated simultaneously by an intense 3.5 microm fundamental field and a weak cw diode laser. When 5p, 5d, and 4d excited states are populated through cascade excitation or deexcitation, orders-of-magnitude increases in harmonic yield as compared with the ground state are observed. It appears that, quite unexpectedly, the population accumulated in the 4d state alone is responsible for the observed enhancement.  相似文献

This paper proposes highly charged ions pumped by intense laser to produce very high order harmonics.Numerical simulations and full quantum theory of Ne 9+ ions driven by laser pulses at 1064 nm in the power range of 10 9 W/cm 2 ~ 10 15 W/cm 2 show that the emission spectrum corresponds to the electronic transitions from the excited states to the ground state,which is very different from the spectrum of general high-order harmonic generation.In such situation,harmonic order as high as 1000 can be obtained without producing lower order harmonics and the energy conversion efficiency is close to general high order harmonic generation of hydrogen atom in the same laser field.  相似文献

We report on investigations of high-order harmonic generation from solid surfaces in the coherent wake emission regime with relativistically intense few-cycle (8 fs) laser pulses. Significant spectral broadening compared to previous experiments with many-cycle pulses and the appearance of substructures on the harmonics are observed that strongly fluctuate from shot-to-shot. Measurements in which the linear polarization was rotated or ellipticity of the laser pulse was varied exhibit a strong dependence of the harmonic emission on the polarization state of the incident pulse. We show that the observed spectral features are ultimately connected to the sub-cycle electron dynamics in the laser-solid interaction and thus proof of the few-cycle nature of the observed harmonic emission. Using a simple model we have investigated the factors that play an important role in the shape of the emitted spectrum.  相似文献

A significant increase, as well as a decrease, in the intensity of single higher harmonics of femtosecond radiation of a Ti:sapphire laser that are generated in a weakly excited laser plasma on the surface of GaAs, Cr, InSb, In, and stainless steel is demonstrated. The intensities of some higher harmonics in different regions of their plateaulike distribution varied from a 23-fold excess over the intensity of the neighboring harmonics to the complete absence in the extreme ultraviolet spectrum. The specific features of a 200-fold increase in the intensity of the 13th harmonic generated in indium plasma are analyzed. These variations in the intensity distribution of harmonics in the plateau region are obtained by varying the chirp of laser pulses.  相似文献

The specific features of the luminescence of excimer molecules are analyzed within the model of a purely repulsive potential for the ground state in the field of intense laser radiation with due regard for the squeezed vibrational states. It is demonstrated that the luminescence band with the inclusion of the equilibrium phonons can be represented by a broad structureless asymmetric bell-shaped curve. The squeezed vibrational states substantially affect the frequency dependence of the luminescence intensity; more specifically, the luminescence band exhibits two maxima in the case of strong electron-phonon coupling. The stabilization of an excited electronic state in the course of luminescence at the fundamental frequency and generation of higher optical harmonics in the field of intense laser radiation is discussed.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the yield enhancement of elliptical high harmonics in the interaction of molecules with bicircular laser pulses by solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. It is shown that by adjusting the relative intensity ratio of the two bicircular field components in specific ranges the yield of the molecular high harmonics for the plateau and cutoff regions can be respectively enhanced. To analyze this enhancement phenomenon, we calculate the weights of the electron classical trajectories. Additionally, we also study the ellipticity distribution of harmonics for different intensity ratios. We find that these enhanced harmonics are elliptically polarized, which we mainly attribute to the recombination dipole moment of the major weighted trajectories. These enhanced elliptical extreme ultraviolet and soft x-ray radiations may serve as essential tools for exploring the ultrafast dynamics in magnetic materials and chiral media.  相似文献

We simulate the dynamic response of H2+ in a linearly polarized laser field by numerically solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The elliptically polarized high-order harmonics generated by H2+ irradiated by the linearly polarized laser field are systematically investigated. The result shows that the amplitude and rotation of the ellipticity of harmonics are affected by the alignment angle and internuclear distance of the molecule. Analyzing the change in forces acted on the ionized electrons and the trajectories of the electrons, the phenomena are found to be due to the change in the direction of the total Coulomb forces from the two nuclei felt by the recollided ionized electrons in the direction perpendicular to the laser polarization direction. Based on the influence law, we can select the harmonics with a specific frequency band under different alignment angles and then synthesize the isolated attosecond pulses with different rotations, which can be continuously converted from right-handed circular polarization, linear polarization, and left-handed circular polarization by changing the alignment angle. This study provides a new possible approach to the real-time detection of molecular states by using attosecond pulses and obtaining more optimized harmonics with molecular properties.  相似文献

The authors present results of measurements of high-order harmonic generation and XUV spontaneous emission in helium and neon plasmas excited by a short pulse laser at intensities between 1014 and 5×1017 W/cm2. They compare the observed behavior of the harmonics with recent single atom calculations in helium. A wavelength dependence to the efficiency of harmonic generation that has not been previously reported is observed. Line emission from excited state transitions in Ne7+ in a short pulse laser-driven plasma is also observed. In particular, strong emission and a rapid recombination rate for the 9.8-nm (3d-2p) transition that is a possible candidate for a recombination-pumped X-ray laser is shown  相似文献

我们提出利用频率为ω,3ω和强度较弱的2ω组成的三色圆偏振激光组合脉冲驱动氦原子能够得到椭偏率较大的阿秒脉冲链的一种方法.通过强场近似方法,计算了氦原子在两色和三色圆偏振激光组合脉冲驱动下发射高次谐波谱及其合成阿秒脉冲链,比较了氦原子(初态为s态)在这两种情况下发射高次谐波谱的特点及其合成阿秒脉冲链椭偏率的大小,结果发现,在反旋的两色ω,3ω激光脉冲基础上加入了频率为2ω的第三色激光脉冲联合作用到氦原子上,所得到的阿秒脉冲链的椭偏率相对于双圆场情况下有所增加,通过调整ω,3ω激光的强度比,并且选择适当的第三色激光的强度,对初态为s态的原子,仍能够得到具有较大椭偏率的阿秒脉冲链.  相似文献
