Slow production via dd-CF using a two-layer arrangement is investigated. To determine its feasibility, experimental measurements are now in progress using the muonic X-ray detection method. The following experimental steps are being considered: (1) measurement of the number of stopped inside a solid H2/D2 layer by detecting p K X-rays, (2) hot d emission detection by placing a secondary target at a distance of 10–30 mm from the layer and by detecting specific delayed X-rays, (3) measurement of the disappearance of d emission as the added D2 layer is increased, (4) dd-CF measurement by detecting fusion protons, and (5) slow emission detection. Results of the initial test experiment are presented.  相似文献

This paper describes a scalable small-signal equivalent circuit for 0.25 m gatelength Double Heterojunction delta-doped PHEMTs. The scaling rules for all elements except the pad capacitances and bondwire inductances have been determined. Good agreement is obtained between simulation results and measured results for 2 times 20 m , 2 times 40 m, 2 times 60 m, 2 times 100 m gate width (number of gate fingers times unit gate width) DH PHEMT.  相似文献

A recently developed formula [R. Bukowski and B. Jeziorski, Phys. Rev. A46 (1992) 5437]. has been applied to estimate the soft-photon Lamb shift contribution to the energies of the muonic molecules pp, dd, tt, pd, pt and dt. The corresponding corrections to the dissociation energies for the excited P states of dd and dt have been found to be almost identical and equal to 0.048 meV. The magnitude of this stabilizing effect is too small to affect seriously the formation rates predictions.  相似文献

In butterflies favouring direct absorption of solar energy through their wings, the absorption by the black areas situated at the wing bases provides the body with the most part of the exogenous energy. For the studied butterfly (Archeoprepona meander), absorption is very high over the whole solar spectrum (0.95). This absorption is due to both the dendritic structure of the scales and the melanin pigments. In the infrared range, the absorptivity reveals two strong peaks at 3 m and 6 m and then remains more or less constant at a relatively high value (0.4) up to 25 m. This situation contains the outline for a remarkable self-regulation phenomenon of the radiative balance, allowing the stabilization of temperature in the survival area of the butterfly. The first absorption peak, centred on 3 m, i.e. between the solar irradiance and the thermal emission spectra, is not involved in the radiative balance at these temperatures. However, the second, on the edge of the emission spectrum, plays a key role as a thermal regulator. Its marginal situation is such that, according to the wing temperature, it overlaps or not the emission spectrum, modifying the collector efficiency, and thus the temperature. An unified miniature optically pumped NH3 submillimeter wave laser (OPSMMWL), including a mini TEA-CO2 pump laser, was developed. It lased successfully with coherent emission at 67.2m, 90.4m and 151.5m. The optimum operation of the unified mini-OPSMMWL was studied experimentally and the relations among SMMW laser output power, operating gas pressure, length and coupling condition of the cavity were measured. It has been found that buffer gas N2 has significant effect on 67.2m and 151.5m emissions and very wide band SMMW laser emission was a common feature of the mini-OPSMMW cavity laser.  相似文献

The multiplicities a of simple modules L in the composition series of Kac modules V lambda for the Lie superalgebra (m/n ) were described by Serganova, leading to her solution of the character problem for (m/n ). In Serganova's algorithm all with nonzero a are determined for a given this algorithm, turns out to be rather complicated. In this Letter, a simple rule is conjectured to find all nonzero a for any given weight . In particular, we claim that for an r-fold atypical weight there are 2r distinct weights such that a = 1, and a = 0 for all other weights . Some related properties on the multiplicities a are proved, and arguments in favour of our main conjecture are given. Finally, an extension of the conjecture describing the inverse of the matrix of Kazhdan–Lusztig polynomials is discussed.  相似文献

We have suggested and implemented a method of creation (growing) of sublimatescreens formed by singlecrystal luminophor columns which are perpendicular to an amorphous (e.g., glass) substrate. The diameters of the columns are 3–5 m, the height 7–10 m. The columnar singlecrystal structure of the screen ensures the high light yield and radiation color needed for field emission displays. It is possible to select the growing regime so that the columns are very closely spaced (1–2 m). The gaps can be filled with a conducting opaque material that increases the contrast of the screen and improves their electrical conductivity.  相似文献

The trade-off between process speed and resolution in microstereolithography (SL) roots on the diffusion-limited kinetics of photopolymerization. Using a numerical model, we have investigated the influence of diffusion dominant effect under high photon flux. Radical depletion turned out to limit the smallest feature achievable to the order of 10 m under high process speed. The triton energy of the muon capture reaction 3He t+v, where 3 He is the ground state of muonic3He, has been measured in order to investigate a possible heavy v admixture into the flavour with high sensitivity. 3 He has been formed via the pd fusion reaction by stopping in an ionization chamber (IC) filled with an H/D gas mixture of 3% D concentration at a pressure of 161 bar. In a first short experiment 650 triton events were observed yielding an upper limit for the -heavy v mixing strength of 2.3×10–3 atE 0v=60 MeV.  相似文献

The refractivity of the CO2 gas is measured with an experimental error of 2% in the 10-m region, using 10.4-m band CO2 laser line. The frequency of the CO2 laser is swept through the Doppler profile of the laser line. The experiment is achieved using a 0.63-m He–Ne/10.6-m CO2-laser interferometer with a 2-m long vacuum cell. From the result, it is found that the Koch's formula also holds for the wavelengths in the 10-m region within an accuracy of 2%.  相似文献

We report the photoluminescence characteristics of molecular beam epitaxy grown GaInNAs/GaAs single quantum wells that emit near 1.5-m wavelength at room temperature. The photoluminescence properties were investigated by varying the excitation wavelength, excitation intensity and sample temperature. It is found that the spectroscopic properties in the 1.5-m material are quite different from those of similar GaInNAs/GaAs structures emitting at 1.2 m. The related radiative mechanisms in the 1.5-m samples are interpreted in terms of the optical transitions of phase-separated quantum-dot states rather than quantum-well states. Based upon the recent discovery at UT MSL/KEK, a new idea is proposed for producing a slow and monoenergetic (3.2 keV) (3He)+ ion beam by using particle decay of the (d3He) muon molecule formed during the (d) to3He transfer reaction. The proposed intense (3He) beam as well as the less intense (4He) beam will open up way to various new types of important CF experiments.  相似文献

The major reasons for the low photovoltaic efficiency of Cu2S/CdS cells, in which the CdS film is deposited by spraying, are due to small film thicknesses which do not exceed 4 m and the small average grain size which ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 m.A new experimental solution spraying procedure is described that prevents both restrictions by controlling the substrate temperature. In a systematic study of the transfer process to sulphur dioxide, in seven different H2 + SO2 gas mixtures, the time spectra of the muonic sulphur X-rays yield muon transfer rates to the SO2 molecule, deduced from the lifetimes of the p atoms, which agree all well with each other. The muonic oxygen time spectra show an additional structure as if p atoms of another kind were present. Reduced transfer ratesO are reproducible if one uses the model of ephemeral p atoms. The intensity ratios between the different kinds of p atoms are also discussed in the framework of this model and the one of black and white p atoms.  相似文献

The absorption of laser light in 0.25–1 mm diameter gold cavities, irradiated for the purpose of generating high-temperature blackbody radiation with intense laser radiation of either =0.44 m or =1.3 m wavelength, was investigated. For =0.44 m radiation the absorption exceeded 0.9 for all conditions, but dropped to only 0.3 for the smallest cavities irradiated at =1.3 m. Entrance hole and cavity filling with plasma seems important for the understanding of the observations.  相似文献

Intense far-infrared laser action is reported for carbonyl fluoride and vinyl fluoride. Eleven new lines with wavelengths between 339 m538 m were obtained by optically pumping carbonyl fluoride with numerous lines of the 10.4 m band of a cw CO2 laser. Twenty-three lines with wavelengths in the range 172 m783 m were detected when pumping the recently discovered efficient FIR laser molecule vinyl fluoride. In addition, three very weak new lines were found using 1.1-difluoroethylen.  相似文献
