Six new actinide metal thiophosphates have been synthesized by the reactive flux method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction: Cs(8)U(5)(P(3)S(10))(2)(PS(4))(6) (I), K(10)Th(3)(P(2)S(7))(4)(PS(4))(2) (II), K(5)U(PS(4))(3) (III), K(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (IV), Rb(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (V), and Cs(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (VI). Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 33.2897(1) A, b = 14.9295(1) A, c = 17.3528(2) A, beta = 115.478(1) degrees, Z = 8. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 32.8085(6) A, b = 9.0482(2) A, c = 27.2972(3) A, beta = 125.720(1) degrees, Z = 8. Compound III crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 14.6132(1) A, b = 17.0884(2) A, c = 9.7082(2) A, beta = 108.63(1) degrees, Z = 4. Compound IV crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.7436(1) A, b = 11.3894(2) A, c = 20.0163(3) A, beta = 90.041(1) degrees, Z = 4, as a pseudo-merohedrally twinned cell. Compound V crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 13.197(4) A, b = 9.997(4) A, c = 18.189(7) A, beta = 100.77(1) degrees, Z = 4. Compound VI crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 13.5624(1) A, b = 10.3007(1) A, c = 18.6738(1) A, beta = 100.670(1) degrees, Z = 4. Optical band-gap measurements by diffuse reflectance show that compounds I and III contain tetravalent uranium as part of an extended electronic system. Thorium-containing compounds are large-gap materials. Raman spectroscopy on single crystals displays the vibrational characteristics expected for [PS(4)](3)(-), [P(2)S(7)](4-), and the new [P(3)S(10)](5)(-) building blocks. This new thiophosphate building block has not been observed except in the structure of the uranium-containing compound Cs(8)U(5)(P(3)S(10))(2)(PS(4))(6).  相似文献

The alkali metal/group 4 metal/polychalcogenides Cs(4)Ti(3)Se(13), Rb(4)Ti(3)S(14), Cs(4)Ti(3)S(14), Rb(4)Hf(3)S(14), Rb(4)Zr(3)Se(14), Cs(4)Zr(3)Se(14), and Cs(4)Hf(3)Se(14) have been synthesized by means of the reactive flux method at 823 or 873 K. Cs(4)Ti(3)Se(13) crystallizes in a new structure type in space group C(2)(2)-P2(1) with eight formula units in a monoclinic cell at T = 153 K of dimensions a = 10.2524(6) A, b = 32.468(2) A, c = 14.6747(8) A, beta = 100.008(1) degrees. Cs(4)Ti(3)Se(13) is composed of four independent one-dimensional [Ti(3)Se(13)(4-)] chains separated by Cs(+) cations. These chains adopt hexagonal closest packing along the [100] direction. The [Ti(3)Se(13)(4-)] chains are built from the face- and edge-sharing of pentagonal pyramids and pentagonal bipyramids. Formal oxidation states cannot be assigned in Cs(4)Ti(3)Se(13). The compounds Rb(4)Ti(3)S(14), Cs(4)Ti(3)S(14), Rb(4)Hf(3)S(14), Rb(4)Zr(3)Se(14), Cs(4)Zr(3)Se(14), and Cs(4)Hf(3)Se(14) crystallize in the K(4)Ti(3)S(14) structure type with four formula units in space group C(2)(h)()(6)-C2/c of the monoclinic system at T = 153 K in cells of dimensions a = 21.085(1) A, b = 8.1169(5) A, c = 13.1992(8) A, beta = 112.835(1) degrees for Rb(4)Ti(3)S(14);a = 21.329(3) A, b = 8.415(1) A, c = 13.678(2) A, beta = 113.801(2) degrees for Cs(4)Ti(3)S(14); a = 21.643(2) A, b = 8.1848(8) A, c = 13.331(1) A, beta = 111.762(2) degrees for Rb(4)Hf(3)S(14); a = 22.605(7) A, b = 8.552(3) A, c = 13.880(4) A, beta = 110.919(9) degrees for Rb(4)Zr(3)Se(14); a = 22.826(5) A, b = 8.841(2) A, c = 14.278(3) A, beta = 111.456(4) degrees for Cs(4)Zr(3)Se(14); and a = 22.758(5) A, b = 8.844(2) A, c = 14.276(3) A, beta = 111.88(3) degrees for Cs(4)Hf(3)Se(14). These A(4)M(3)Q(14) compounds (A = alkali metal; M = group 4 metal; Q = chalcogen) contain hexagonally closest-packed [M(3)Q(14)(4-)] chains that run in the [101] direction and are separated by A(+) cations. Each [M(3)Q(14)(4-)] chain is built from a [M(3)Q(14)] unit that consists of two MQ(7) pentagonal bipyramids or one distorted MQ(8) bicapped octahedron bonded together by edge- or face-sharing. Each [M(3)Q(14)] unit contains six Q(2)(2-) dimers, with Q-Q distances in the normal single-bond range 2.0616(9)-2.095(2) A for S-S and 2.367(1)-2.391(2) A for Se-Se. The A(4)M(3)Q(14) compounds can be formulated as (A(+))(4)(M(4+))(3)(Q(2)(2-))(6)(Q(2-))(2).  相似文献

The one-electron oxidized linear pentanuclear nickel complexes [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(H(2)O)(BF(4))](BF(4))(2) (1) and [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(SO(3)CF(3))(2)](SO(3)CF(3)) (2) have been synthesized by reacting the neutral compound [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)Cl(2)] with the corresponding silver salts. These compounds have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 15.3022(1) A, b = 31.0705(3) A, c = 15.8109(2) A, beta = 92.2425(4) degrees, V = 7511.49(13) A(3), Z = 4, and compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 42.1894(7) A, b = 17.0770(3) A, c = 21.2117(4) A, beta = 102.5688(8) degrees, V = 14916.1(5) A(3), Z = 8. X-ray structural studies reveal an unsymmetrical Ni(5) unit for both compounds 1 and 2. Compounds 1 and 2 show stronger Ni-Ni interactions as compared to those of the neutral compounds.  相似文献

Single crystals of A2ThP3Se9 (A = K (I), Rb (II)) and Cs4Th2PsSe17 (III) form from the reaction of Th and P in a molten A2Se3/Se (A = K, Rb, Cs) flux at 750 degrees C for 100 h. Compound I crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with unit cell parameters a = 10.4582(5) A, b = 16.5384(8) A, c = 10.2245(5) A, alpha = 107.637(1); beta = 91.652(1); gamma = 90.343(1) degrees, and Z = 2. Compound II crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with the unit cell parameters a = 10.5369(5) A, b = 16.6914(8) A, c = 10.2864(5) A, alpha = 107.614(1) degrees, beta = 92.059(1) degrees, gamma = 90.409(1) degrees, and Z = 2. These structures consist of infinite chains of corner-sharing [Th2Se14] units linked by (P2Se6)4- anions in two directions to form a ribbonlike structure along the [100] direction. Compounds I and II are isostructural with the previously reported K2UP3Se9. Compound III crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c (No. 14) with unit cell parameters a = 10.238(1) A, b = 32.182(2) A, c = 10.749(1) A; beta = 95.832(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Cs4Th2P5Se17 consists of infinite chains of corner-sharing, polyhedral [Th2Se13] units that are also linked by (P2Se6)4- anions in the [100] and [010] directions to form a layered structure. The structure of III features an (Se2)2- anion that is bound eta 2 to Th(2) and eta 1 to Th(1). This anion influences the coordination sphere of the 9-coordinate Th(2) atom such that it is best described as bicapped trigonal prismatic where the eta 2-bound anion occupies one coordination site. The composition of III may be formulated as Cs4Th2(P2Se6)5/2(Se2) due to the presence of the (Se2)2- unit. Raman spectra for these compounds and their interpretation are reported.  相似文献

Five new rare-earth metal polyselenophosphates have been synthesized by the reactive flux method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction: K(2)La(P(2)Se(6))(1/2)(PSe(4)) (I), K(3)La(PSe(4))(2) (II), K(4)La(0.67)(PSe(4))(2) (III), K(9-x)()La(1+)(x/3)(PSe(4))(4) (x = 0.5) (IV), and KEuPSe(4) (V). Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.4269(1) A, b = 7.2054(1) A, c = 21.0276(5) A, beta = 97.484(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 9.5782(2) A, b = 17.6623(4) A, c = 9.9869(3) A, beta = 90.120(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound III crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam with a = 19.0962(2) A, b = 9.1408(1) A, c = 10.2588(2) A, and Z = 4. Compound IV crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ccca with a = 18.2133(1) A, b = 38.0914(4) A, c = 10.2665(1) A, and Z = 8. Compound V crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 17.5156(11) A, b = 7.0126(5) A, c = 6.9015(4) A, and Z = 4. Optical band gap measurements show that compound V has an optical band gap of 1.88 eV. Solid-state Raman spectroscopy of compounds II-V shows the four normal vibrations expected for the (PSe(4))(3-) unit. The observation of compounds I-V in several reactions has allowed the creation of a quasi-quaternary phase diagram for potassium rare-earth-metal polyselenophosphates. This phase diagram can qualitatively be separated into three regions on the basis of the oxidation state of phosphorus in the crystalline products observed and takes the next step in designing solid-state compounds.  相似文献

The reactions of Ti with in situ formed polythiophosphate fluxes of A(2)S(3) (A = Rb, Cs), P(2)S(5), and S at 500 degrees C result in the formation of two new quaternary titanium thiophosphates with compositions Rb(3)Ti(3)(P(4)S(13))(PS(4))(3) (1) and Cs(2)Ti(2)(P(2)S(8))(PS(4))(2) (2). Rb(3)Ti(3)(P(4)S(13))(PS(4))(3) (1) crystallizes in the chiral hexagonal space group P6(3) (No. 173) with lattice parameters a = 18.2475(9) Angstrom, c = 6.8687(3) Angstrom, V = 1980.7(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 2. Cs(2)Ti(2)(P(2)S(8))(PS(4))(2) (2) crystallizes in the noncentrosymmetric monoclinic space group Cc (No. 9) with a = 21.9709(14) Angstrom, b = 6.9093(3) Angstrom, c = 17.1489(10) Angstrom, beta = 98.79(1) degrees, V = 2572.7(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 4. In the structure of 1 TiS(6) octahedra, three [PS(4)] tetrahedra, and the hitherto unknown [P(4)S(13)](6-) anion are joined to form two different types of helical chains. These chains are connected yielding two different helical tunnels being directed along [001]. The tunnels are occupied by the Rb+ ions. The [P(4)S(13)](6-) anion is generated by three [PS(4)] tetrahedra sharing corners with one [PS(4)] group in the center of the starlike anion. The P atoms of the three [PS(4)] tetrahedra attached to the central [PS(4)] group define an equilateral triangle. The [P(4)S(13)](6-) anion may be regarded as a new member of the [P(n)S(3n+1)]((n+2)-) series. The structure of Cs(2)Ti(2)(P(2)S(8))(PS(4))(2) (2) consists of the one-dimensional polar tunnels containing the Cs(+) cations. The rare [P(2)S(8)](4-) anion which is composed of two [PS(4)] tetrahedra joined by a S(2)(2-) anion is a fundamental building unit in the structure of 2. One-dimensional undulated chains being directed along [100] are joined by [PS(4)] tetrahedra to form the three-dimensional network with polar tunnels running along [010]. The compounds are characterized with IR, Raman spectroscopy, and UV/vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.  相似文献

The reaction of Mn and Cd in alkali metal polythioarsenate fluxes afforded four new compounds featuring molecular anions. K(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (I) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/n with a = 9.1818(8) A, b = 8.5867(8) A, c = 20.3802(19) A, and beta = 95.095(2) degrees. Rb(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (II) and Cs(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (III) both crystallize in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.079(3) A, b = 9.197(3) A, c = 11.219(4) A, alpha = 105.958(7) degrees, beta = 103.950(5) degrees, and gamma = 92.612(6) degrees for II and a = 9.420(5) A, b = 9.559(5) A, c = 11.496(7) A, alpha = 105.606(14) degrees, beta = 102.999(12) degrees, and gamma = 92.423(14) degrees for III. The discrete dimeric [Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) clusters in these compounds are composed of two octahedral Mn(2+) ions bridged by two [AsS(4)](3-) units and chelated each by a [AsS(4)](3-) unit. Rb(8)[Cd(2)(AsS(4))(2)(AsS(5))(2)] (IV) crystallizes in P1 with a = 9.122(2) A, b = 9.285(2) A, c = 12.400(3) A, alpha = 111.700(6) degrees, beta = 108.744 degrees, and gamma = 90.163(5) degrees. Owing to the greater size of Cd compared to Mn, the Cd centers in this compound are bridged by [AsS(5)](3-) units. The [Cd(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) cluster is a minor component cocrystallized in the lattice. These compounds are yellow in color and soluble in water.  相似文献

A homologous series of dinuclear compounds with the bridging ligand 2-(2-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pynp) has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallographic and spectroscopic methods. [Mo(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x 3CH(3)CN (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 15.134(5) A, b = 14.301(6) A, c = 19.990(6) A, beta = 108.06(2) degrees, V = 4113(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Ru(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][PF(6)](2) x 2CH(3)OH (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 14.2228(7) A, b = 20.3204(9) A, c = 14.1022(7) A, beta = 95.144(1) degrees, V = 4059.3(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x C(7)H(8) (3) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 13.409(2) A, b = 21.670(3) A, c = 13.726(2) A, beta = 94.865(2) degrees, V = 3973.9(8) A(3), and Z = 4. A minor product, [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)][PF(6)] x 2CH(3)CN (4), was isolated from the mother liquor after crystals of 3 had been harvested; this compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group, P1 with a = 12.535(3) A, b = 13.116(3) A, c = 13.785(3) A, alpha = 82.52(3) degrees, beta = 77.70(3) degrees, gamma = 85.76(3) degrees, V = 2193.0(8) A(3), and Z = 2. Compounds 1-3 constitute a convenient series for probing the influence of the electronic configuration on the extent of mixing of the M-M orbitals with the pi system of the pynp ligand. Single point energy calculations performed on 1-3 at the B3LYP level of theory lend insight into the bonding in these compounds and allow for correlations to be made with electronic spectral data. Although purely qualitative in nature, the values for normalized change in orbital energies (NCOE) of the frontier orbitals before and after reduction are in agreement with the observed differences in reduction potentials as determined by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

An alkali-metal sulfur reactive flux has been used to synthesize a series of quaternary rare-earth metal compounds. These include KLaP(2)S(6) (I), K(2)La(P(2)S(6))(1/2)(PS(4)) (II), K(3)La(PS(4))(2) (III), K(4)La(0.67)(PS(4))(2) (IV), K(9-x)La(1+x/3)(PS(4))(4) (x = 0.5) (V), K(4)Eu(PS(4))(2) (VI), and KEuPS(4) (VII). Compound V crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ccca with a = 17.529(9) A, b = 36.43(3) A, c = 9.782(4) A, and Z = 8. Compound VI crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam with a = 18.29(5) A, b = 8.81(2) A, c= 9.741(10) A, and Z = 4. Compound VII crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 16.782(2) A, b = 6.6141(6) A, c = 6.5142(6) A, and Z = 4. The sulfur compounds are in most cases isostructural to their selenium counterparts. By controlling experimental conditions, these structures can be placed in quasi-quaternary phase diagrams, which show the reaction conditions necessary to obtain a particular thiophosphate anionic unit in the crystalline product. These structures have been characterized by Raman and IR spectroscopy and UV-vis diffuse reflectance optical band gap analysis.  相似文献

The three novel, multi-nickel-substituted heteropolytungstates [Ni(6)As(3)W(24)O(94)(H(2)O)(2)](17)(-) (1), [Ni(3)Na(H(2)O)(2)(AsW(9)O(34))(2)](11)(-) (2), and [Ni(4)Mn(2)P(3)W(24)O(94)(H(2)O)(2)](17)(-) (3) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, electrochemistry, and magnetic studies. Single-crystal X-ray analysis was carried out on Na(16.5)Ni(0.25)[Ni(6)As(3)W(24)O(94)(H(2)O)(2)].54H(2)O, which crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1, with a = 17.450(4) A, b = 17.476(4) A, c = 22.232(4) A, alpha = 85.73(3) degrees, beta = 89.74(3) degrees, gamma = 84.33(3) degrees, and Z = 2, Na(11)[Ni(3)Na(H(2)O)(2)(AsW(9)O(34))(2)].30.5H(2)O, which crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1, with a = 12.228(2) A, b = 16.743(3) A, c = 23.342(5) A, alpha = 78.50(3) degrees, beta = 80.69(3) degrees, gamma = 78.66(3) degrees, and Z = 2, and Na(17)[Ni(4)Mn(2)P(3)W(24)O(94)(H(2)O)(2)].50.5H(2)O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, with a = 17.540(4) A, b = 22.303(5) A, c = 35.067(7) A, beta = 95.87(3) A, and Z = 4. Polyanion 1 consists of two B-alpha-(Ni(3)AsW(9)O(40)) Keggin moieties linked via a unique AsW(6)O(16) fragment, leading to a banana-shaped structure with C(2)(v)() symmetry. The mixed-metal tungstophosphate 3 is isostructural with 1. Polyanion 2 consists of two lacunary B-alpha-[AsW(9)O(34)](9)(-) Keggin moieties linked via three nickel(II) centers and a sodium ion. Electrochemical studies show that 1-3 exhibit a unique and reproducible voltammetric pattern and that all three compounds are stable in a large pH range. An investigation of the magnetic properties of 1-3 indicates that the exchange interactions within the trimetal clusters are ferromagnetic. However, for 1 and 3 intra- and intermolecular interactions between different trinuclear clusters are also present.  相似文献

The syntheses, structures, and magnetic properties of two pentanuclear cyanide-bridged compounds are reported. The trigonal bipyramidal molecule [[Ni(tmphen)(2)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2)].14H(2)O, (1).14H(2)O (tmphen = 3,4,7,8-tetramethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/c (No. 14) with unit cell parameters a = 19.531(4) A, b = 24.895(5) A, c = 24.522(5) A, beta = 98.68(3) degrees, V = 11787(4) A(3), and Z = 4. The pi-pi interactions between the tmphen ligands provide the closest intermolecular contacts of 3.37 A leading to large intermolecular M...M distances (> 8.68 A). The dc magnetic susceptibility of 1 indicates a ferromagnetically coupled S = 4 ground state best fit to the parameters g = 2.23, J = +4.3 cm(-1), and D(Ni) = +8.8 cm(-1) for the Hamiltonian H = -2J [(S(Fe(1)) + S(Fe(2))).(S(Ni(1)) + S(Ni(2)) + S(Ni(3)))] + D[S(Ni(1))(z)(2) + S(Ni(2))(z)(2) + S(Ni(3))(z)(2)]. The extended square molecule [Ni(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)][[Ni(bpy)(2)](2)[Fe(CN)(6)](2)].12H(2)O, (2).12H(2)O (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) crystallizes in the space group P1 (No. 2) with unit cell parameters a = 13.264(3) A, b = 17.607(4) A, c = 18.057(4) A, alpha = 94.58(3) degrees, beta = 103.29(3) degrees, gamma = 95.18(3) degrees, V = 4065(2) A(3), and Z = 2. The pi-pi interactions of 3.29 A between the bpy ligands are the closest intermolecular contacts, and the intermolecular M...M separations are greater than 7.76 A. The dc magnetic susceptibility data for 2 are also in accord with an S = 4 ground state arising from intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling. The data were best fit to the parameters g = 2.25, J = J' = +3.3 cm(-1), and D(Ni) = +5.8 cm(-1) for the Hamiltonian H = -2J[(S(Fe(1)) + S(Fe(2))).(S(Ni(1)) + S(Ni(2)))] - 2J'[(S(Fe(2)).S(Ni(3)))] + D[S(Ni(1))(z)(2) + S(Ni(2))(z)(2) + S(Ni(3))(z)(2)]. No evidence for long-range magnetic ordering was observed for crystalline samples of 1 or 2.  相似文献

A series of [3 x 3] Mn(II)(9), antiferromagnetically coupled, alkoxide-bridged, square grid complexes, derived from a group of "tritopic" dihydrazide ligands, is described. The outer ring of eight Mn(II) centers in the grids is isolated magnetically from the central Mn(II) ion, leading to an S = 0 ground state for the ring, and an S = 5/2 ground state overall in each case. Exchange in the Mn(II)(8) ring can be represented by a 1D chain exchange model. Rich electrochemistry displayed by these systems has led to the production of Mn(II)/Mn(III) mixed-oxidation-state grids by both electrochemical and chemical means. Structures are reported for [Mn(9)(2poap)(6)](C(2)N(3))(6).10H(2)O (1), [Mn(9)(2poap)(6)](2)[Mn(NCS)(4)(H(2)O)](2)(NCS)(8).10H(2)O (2), [Mn(9)(2poapz)(6)](NO(3))(6).14.5H(2)O (3), [Mn(9)(2popp)(6)](NO(3))(6).12H(2)O (4), [Mn(9)(2pomp)(6)](MnCl(4))(2)Cl(2).2CH(3)OH.7H(2)O (5), and [Mn(9)(Cl2poap)(6)](ClO(4))(9).7H(2)O (6). Two low-dimensional compounds, KSnAsS(5) and K(2)SnAs(2)S(6), were prepared using liquid polythioarsenate salts, and the results differ from those obtained with the well studied thiophosphate flux. KSnAsS(5) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbam with cell parameters of a = 8.136(2) A, b = 13.784(4) A, c = 7.428(2) A. KSnAsS(5) features the unusual pyramidal species [AsS(2)(S(2))](3-). K(2)SnAs(2)S(6) crystallizes in the trigonal space group P3 macro with cell parameters a = 6.717(5) A, b = 7.204(8) A, gamma = 120 degrees. The compounds were obtained by controlling the Lewis basicity of the K(2)S/As(2)S(3)/S flux. The optical, thermal, and spectroscopic properties of the compounds are reported.  相似文献

The novel dimeric germanotungstates [M(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)](12)(-) (M = Mn(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+)) have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, and (183)W-NMR spectroscopy. X-ray single-crystal analyses were carried out on Na(12)[Mn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].38H(2)O (Na(12)()-1), which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, with a = 13.0419(8) A, b = 17.8422(10) A, c = 21.1626(12) A, beta = 93.3120(10) degrees, and Z = 2; Na(11)Cs(2)[Cu(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)]Cl.31H(2)O (Na(11)()Cs-2) crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 12.2338(17) A, b = 12.3833(17) A, c = 15.449(2) A, alpha = 100.041(2) degrees, beta = 97.034(2) degrees, gamma = 101.153(2) degrees, and Z = 1; Na(12)[Zn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].32H(2)O (Na(12)()-3) crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 11.589(3) A, b = 12.811(3) A, c = 17.221(4) A, alpha = 97.828(6) degrees, beta = 106.169(6) degrees, gamma = 112.113(5) degrees, and Z = 1; Na(12)[Cd(4)(H(2)O)(2)(GeW(9)O(34))(2)].32.2H(2)O (Na(12)()-4) crystallizes also in the triclinic system, space group P, with a = 11.6923(17) A, b = 12.8464(18) A, c = 17.616(2) A, alpha = 98.149(3) degrees, beta = 105.677(3) degrees, gamma = 112.233(2) degrees, and Z = 1. The polyanions consist of two lacunary B-alpha-[GeW(9)O(34)](10)(-) Keggin moieties linked via a rhomblike M(4)O(16) (M = Mn, Cu, Zn, Cd) group leading to a sandwich-type structure. (183)W-NMR studies of the diamagnetic Zn and Cd derivatives indicate that the solid-state polyoxoanion structures are preserved in solution. EPR measurements on Na(12)()-1 at frequencies up to 188 GHz and temperatures down to 4 K yield a single, exchange-narrowed peak, at g(iso) = 1.9949, typical of Mn systems, and an upper limit of |D| = 20.0 mT; its magnetization studies still await further theoretical treatment. Detailed EPR studies on Na(11)()Cs-2 over temperatures down to 2 K and variable frequencies yield g( parallel ) = 2.4303 and g( perpendicular ) = 2.0567 and A( parallel ) = 4.4 mT (delocalized over the Cu(4) framework), with |D| = 12.1 mT. Magnetization studies in addition yield the exchange parameters J(1) = -11 and J(2) = -82 cm(-)(1), in agreement with the EPR studies.  相似文献

Reaction of KNH(2), K(2)Se, Se, [2.2.2]-cryptand, and a metal source yields the metal bis(maleonitrilediselenolates) [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](2)[M(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (M = Ni, 1; Pd, 2, Pt, 3). These compounds are isostructural and crystallize with four formula units in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c in cells at T = 153 K with parameters (a (A), b (A), c (A), beta (deg), V (A(3))) of 12.220(1), 15.860(2), 15.306(1), 107.64(2), 2827(1) for 1; 12.291(1), 15.669(1), 15.548(1), 108.55(1), 2839(1) for 2; and 12.292(3), 15.671(3), 15.569(3), 108.59(3), 2842(1) for 3. The cation of 1 has been substituted to yield [Ni(dmf)(5)Cl](2)[Ni(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (4). [Ni(dmf)(5)Cl](2)[Ni(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (4) crystallizes with one molecule in the triclinic space group P1 in a cell with parameters (T = 153 K) of a = 8.842(2) A, b =13.161(3) A, c = 13.831(3) A, alpha = 110.08(3) degrees, beta = 95.23(3) degrees, gamma = 93.72(3) degrees, V = 1484(1) A(3). The electronic absorption and infrared spectra are characteristic of metal maleonitrilediselenolates. Cyclic voltammetry shows that the maleonitrilediselenolate (mns) complexes are more easily oxidized than their maleonitriledithiolate (mnt) analogues.  相似文献

Four new zinc diphosphonate compounds with formulas [NH(3)(CH(2))(2)NH(3)]Zn(hedpH(2))(2).2H(2)O, 1, [NH(3)(CH(2))(n)()NH(3)]Zn(2)(hedpH)(2).2H(2)O, (n = 4, 2; n = 5, 3; n = 6, 4) (hedp = 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions at 110 degrees C and in the presence of alkylenediamines NH(2)(CH(2))(n)()NH(2) (n = 2, 4, 5, 6). Crystallographic data for 1: monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 24.7422(15), b = 5.2889(2), c = 16.0338(2) A, beta = 117.903(1) degrees, V = 1856.17(18) A(3), Z = 4; 2: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 5.4970(3), b = 12.1041(6), c = 16.2814(12) A, beta = 98.619(5) degrees, V = 1071.07(11) A(3), Z = 2; 3: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 5.5251(2), b = 12.5968(3), c = 16.1705(5) A, beta = 99.182(1) degrees, V = 1111.02(6) A(3), Z = 2; 4: triclinic, space group P-1, a = 5.4785(2), b = 14.1940(5), c = 16.0682(6) A, alpha = 81.982(2) degrees, beta = 89.435(2) degrees, gamma = 79.679(2) degrees, V = 1217.11(8) A(3), Z = 2. In compound 1, two of the phosphonate oxygens are protonated. The metal ions are bridged by the hedpH(2)(2-) groups through three of the remaining four phosphonate oxygens, forming a one-dimensional infinite chain. The protonated ethylenediamines locate between the chains in the lattice. In compounds 2-4, only one phosphonate oxygen is protonated. Compounds 2 and 3 have a similar three-dimensional open-network structure composed of [Zn(2)(hedpH)(2)](n) double chains with strong hydrogen bonding interactions between them, thus generating channels along the [100] direction. The protonated diamines and water molecules reside in the channels. Compound 4 contains two types of [Zn(2)(hedpH)(2)](n) double chains which are held together by strong hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network. The interlayer spaces are occupied by the [NH(3)(CH(2))(6)NH(3)](2+) cations and water molecules. The significant difference between structures 2-4 is also featured by the coordination geometries of the zinc atoms. The geometries of those in 2 can be described as distorted octahedral, and those in 3 as distorted square pyramidal. In 4, two independent zinc atoms are found, each with a distorted octahedral and a tetrahedral geometry, respectively.  相似文献

Reaction of AgBF(4), KNH(2), K(2)Se, Se, and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](4)[Ag(4)(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(4)] (1). In the unit cell of 1 there are four [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](+) units and a tetrahedral Ag(4) anionic core coordinated in mu(1)-Se, mu(2)-Se fashion by each of four mns ligands (mns = maleonitrilediselenolate, [Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2)](2)(-)). Reaction of AgNO(3), Na(2)(mnt) (mnt = maleonitriledithiolate, [S(2)C(2)(CN)(2)](2)(-)), and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [Na([2.2.2]-cryptand)](4)[Ag(4)(mnt)(4)].0.33MeCN (2). The Ag(4) anion of 2 is analogous to that in 1. Reaction of AgNO(3), Na(2)(mnt), and [NBu(4)]Br in acetonitrile yields [NBu(4)](4)[Ag(4)(mnt)(4)] (3). The anion of 3 also comprises an Ag(4) core coordinated by four mnt ligands, but the Ag(4) core is diamond-shaped rather than tetrahedral. Reaction of [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mns)(Se(6))] with KNH(2) and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mns)(2)].2MeCN (4). The anion of 4 comprises an Ag center coordinated by two mns ligands in a tetrahedral arrangement. Reaction of AgNO(3), 2 equiv of Na(2)(mnt), and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [Na([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mnt)(2)] (5). The anion of 5 is analogous to that of 4. Electronic absorption and infrared spectra of each complex show behavior characteristic of metal-maleonitriledichalcogenates. Crystal data (153 K): 1, P2/n, Z = 2, a = 18.362(2) A, b = 16.500(1) A, c = 19.673(2) A, beta = 94.67(1) degrees, V = 5941(1) A(3); 2, P4, Z = 4, a= 27.039(4) A, c = 15.358(3) A, V = 11229(3) A(3); 3, P2(1)/c, Z = 6, a = 15.689(3) A, b = 51.924(11) A, c = 17.393(4) A, beta = 93.51(1) degrees, V = 14142(5) A(3); 4, P2(1)/c, Z = 4, a = 13.997(1) A, b = 21.866(2) A, c = 28.281(2) A, beta = 97.72(1) degrees, V = 8578(1) A(3); 5, P2/n, Z = 2, a = 11.547(2) A, b = 11.766(2) A, c = 27.774(6) A, beta = 91.85(3) degrees, V = 3772(1) A(3).  相似文献

The palladium-substituted tungstoantimonate(III) [Cs(2)Na(H(2)O)(10)Pd(3)(alpha-SbW(9)O(33))(2)](9-) (1) has been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, and electrochemistry. Single-crystal X-ray analysis was carried out on Cs(3)KNa(5)[Cs(2)Na(H(2)O)(10)Pd(3)(SbW(9)O(33))(2)].16.5H(2)O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/m, with a = 13.3963(13) A, b = 19.5970(19) A, c = 18.1723(17) A, beta = 100.416(2) degrees, and Z = 2. Polyanion 1 represents the first structurally characterized palladium(II)-substituted polyoxometalate. The title polyoxoanion consists of two (alpha-Sb(III)W(9)O(33)) Keggin moieties linked via three Pd(2+) ions leading to a sandwich-type structure. The palladium centers are equivalent, and they are coordinated in a square-planar fashion. The central belt of 1 contains also one sodium and two cesium ions which reduces the symmetry of the polyanion to C(2)(v)(). Polyanion 1 was synthesized in good yield by reaction of Pd(CH(3)COO)(2) with Na(9)[SbW(9)O(33)] in aqueous acidic medium (pH 4.8). A cyclic voltammetry study of polyanion 1 in a pH 5 medium gives essentially the same characteristics as those observed for the deposition of Pd(0) on the glassy carbon electrode surface from Pd(2+) solutions. The film thickness increases with the number of potential cycles or the duration of potentiostatic electrolysis. The particularly sharp hydrogen sorption/desorption pattern indicates the excellent quality of the Pd(0) deposit from polyanion 1.  相似文献

Picolyl hydrazide ligands have two potentially bridging functional groups (micro-O, micro-N-N) and consequently can exist in different coordination conformers, both of which form spin-coupled polynuclear coordination complexes, with quite different magnetic properties. The complex [Cu(2)(POAP-H)Br(3)(H(2)O)] (1) involves a micro-N-N bridge (Cu-N-N-Cu 150.6 degrees ) and exhibits quite strong antiferromagnetic coupling (-2J = 246(1) cm(-)(1)). [Cu(2)(PZOAPZ-H)Br(3)(H(2)O)(2)] (2) has two Cu(II) centers bridged by an alkoxide group with a very large Cu-O-Cu angle of 141.7 degrees but unexpectedly exhibits quite weak antiferromagnetic exchange (-2J = 91.5 cm(-)(1)). This is much weaker than anticipated, despite direct overlap of the copper magnetic orbitals. Density functional calculations have been carried out on compound 2, yielding a similar singlet-triplet splitting energy. Structural details are reported for [Cu(2)(POAP-H)Br(3)(H(2)O)] (1), [Cu(2)(PZOAPZ-H)Br(3)(H(2)O)(2)] (2), [Cu(2)(PAOPF-2H)Br(2)(DMSO)(H(2)O)].H(2)O (3), [Cu(4)(POMP-H))(4)](NO(3))(4).2H(2)O (4), and PPOCCO (5) (a picolyl hydrazide ligand with a terminal oxime group) and its mononuclear complexes [Cu(PPOCCO-H)(NO(3))] (6) and [Cu(PPOCCO-H)Cl] (7). Mechanochemical reaction of cluster coordination polymers 1infinity[M3Q7Br4] (M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se) with solid K2C2O4 leads to cluster core excision with the formation of anionic complexes [M3Q7(C2O4)3]2-. Extraction of the reaction mixture with water followed by crystallization gives crystalline K2[M3Q7(C2O4)3].0.5KBr.nH2O (M = Mo, Q = S, n = 3 (1); M = Mo, Q = Se, n = 4 (2); M = W, Q = S, n = 5 (3)). Cs2[Mo3S7(C2O4)3].0.5CsCl.3.5H2O (4) and (Et4N)1.5H0.5K{[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}.2H2O (5) were also prepared. Close Q...Br contacts result in the formation of ionic triples {[M3Q7(C2O4)3](2)Br}5- in 1-4 and the 1:1 adduct {[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}3- in 5. Treatment of 1 or 2 with PPh(3) leads to chalcogen abstraction with the formation of [Mo3(mu3-Q)(mu2-Q)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3]2-, isolated as (Ph4P)2[Mo3(mu3-S)(mu2-S)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].11H2O (6) and (Ph4P2[Mo3(mu3-Se)(mu2-Se)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].8.5H2O.0.5C2H5OH (7). All compounds were characterized by X-ray structure analysis. IR, Raman, electronic, and 77Se NMR spectra are also reported. Thermal decomposition of 1-3 was studied by thermogravimetry.  相似文献
