Crystal structures are reported for three isomeric compounds, namely 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐2‐oxazoline, (I), 2‐(3‐hydroxyphenyl)‐2‐oxazoline, (II), and 2‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐2‐oxazoline, (III), all C9H9NO2 [systematic names: 2‐(4,5‐dihydro‐1,3‐oxazol‐2‐yl)phenol, (I), 3‐(4,5‐dihydro‐1,3‐oxazol‐2‐yl)phenol, (II), and 4‐(4,5‐dihydro‐1,3‐oxazol‐2‐yl)phenol, (III)]. In these compounds, the deviation from coplanarity of the oxazoline and benzene rings is dependent on the position of the hydroxy group on the benzene ring. The coplanar arrangement in (I) is stabilized by a strong intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bond. Surprisingly, the 2‐oxazoline ring in molecule B of (II) adopts a 3T4 (C2TC3) conformation, while the 2‐oxazoline ring in molecule A, as well as that in (I) and (III), is nearly planar, as expected. Tetramers of molecules of (II) are formed and they are bound together via weak C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. In (III), strong intermolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds and weak intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of an infinite chain of molecules perpendicular to the b direction. This paper also reports a theoretical investigation of hydrogen bonds, based on density functional theory (DFT) employing periodic boundary conditions.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the title compounds, viz. C24H14F2N2O2, (I), and C25H17FN2O2, (II), respectively, have been determined in order to unravel the role of an ordered F atom in generating stable supramolecular assemblies. On changing the substitution from fluorine to a methyl group, C—H⋯F interactions are replaced by C—H⋯π interactions, revealing the importance of such weak interactions when present alongside N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angle between the planes of the 4‐fluorophenyl ring and the pyridine ring is 26.8 (1)° in (I), while that between the planes of the 4‐methylphenyl and pyridine rings is 29.5 (1)° in (II).  相似文献

The title compounds, 1,3‐dibenzoylimidazolidine‐2‐thione, C17H14N2O2S, (I), and 1,3‐dibenzoyl‐3,4,5,6‐tetrahydropyrimidine‐2(1H)‐thione, C18H16N2O2S, (II), were obtained from the reactions of imidazolidine‐2‐thione and 1,4,5,6‐tetrahydropyrimidine‐2‐thiol, respectively, with benzoyl chloride. Compounds (I) and (II) contain, respectively, imidazolidinethione [C=S = 1.6509 (14) Å] and pyrimidinethione [C=S = 1.6918 (19) Å] moieties bonded to two benzoyl rings. The molecules of (I) exhibit C2 symmetry, the C=S bond lying along the twofold rotation axis, while the molecules of (II) have mirror symmetry (Cs). The imidazolidine ring in (I) is essentially planar, while the pyrimidine ring in (II) adopts a boat conformation. Molecules of (I) are linked by weak intermolecular C—H⋯O interactions, while molecules of (II) are held together by van der Waals interactions.  相似文献

The structures of N‐ethyl‐3‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐5‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐2‐pyrazoline‐1‐thiocarboxamide, C19H20FN3OS, (I), and 3‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐N‐methyl‐5‐(4‐methylphenyl)‐2‐pyrazoline‐1‐thiocarboxamide, C18H18FN3S, (II), have similar geometric parameters. The methoxy/methyl‐substituted phenyl groups are almost perpendicular to the pyrazoline (pyraz) ring [interplanar angles of 89.29 (8) and 80.39 (10)° for (I) and (II), respectively], which is coplanar with the fluorophenyl ring [interplanar angles of 5.72 (9) and 10.48 (10)°]. The pyrazoline ring approximates an envelope conformation in both structures, with the two‐coordinate N atom involved in an intramolecular N—H⋯Npyraz interaction. In (I), N—H⋯O and C—H⋯S intermolecular hydrogen bonds are the primary interactions, whereas in (II), there are no intermolecular hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The title compounds, both C23H21ClN2OS, are isomeric, with (I) and (II) being the N‐3‐methylphenyl and N‐2‐methylphenyl derivatives, respectively. The dihedral angle between the 4‐chlorophenyl group and the thiophene ring in (II) [38.1 (1)°] is larger than that in (I) [7.1 (1)°], indicating steric repulsion between the chlorophenyl and o‐toluidine groups in (II). In both compounds, an intramolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bond forms a pseudo‐six‐membered ring, thus locking the molecular conformation. In the crystal structures, molecules are connected via N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the b axis in (I) and along the c axis in (II). Intermolecular C—H⋯O/S and π–π interactions are also observed in (II), but not in (I).  相似文献

10‐(4‐Fluorophenyl)‐3,3,6,6,9‐pentamethyl‐3,4,6,7,9,10‐hexahydroacridine‐1,8(2H,5H)‐dione, C24H28FNO2, (I), crystallizes with two crystallographically independent molecules (which differ slightly in conformation), while 10‐(4‐fluorophenyl)‐9‐propyl‐3,3,6,6‐tetramethyl‐3,4,6,7,9,10‐hexahydroacridine‐1,8(2H,5H)‐dione, C26H32FNO2, (II), crystallizes with one molecule per asymmetric unit. In both structures, the central ring in the acridine moiety is in a sofa conformation, while the outer rings adopt intermediate half‐chair/sofa conformations. The central pyridine ring is orthogonal to the substituted phenyl ring. In both structures, the packing of the crystal is stabilized by C—H?O intermolecular hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The molecular structures of 2‐[4‐chloro‐2‐fluoro‐5‐(prop‐2‐ynyloxy)phenyl]‐1,3,4,5,6,7‐hexahydroisoindole‐1,3‐dione, C17H13ClFNO3, (I), and the isomeric compound 2‐[4‐chloro‐2‐fluoro‐5‐(prop‐2‐ynyloxy)phenyl]‐cis‐1,3,3a,4,7,7a‐hexahydroisoindole‐1,3‐dione, (II), are, as anticipated, significantly different in their conformations and in the distances between the farthest two atoms. The six‐membered ring of the 1,3,4,5,6,7‐hexahydroisoindole‐1,3‐dione moiety in (I) adopts a half‐chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the five‐membered dione ring of (I) and the benzene ring is 50.96 (7)°. The six‐membered ring of the cis‐1,3,3a,4,7,7a‐hexahydroisoindole‐1,3‐dione moiety in (II) adopts a boat conformation. The dihedral angle in (II) between the five‐membered dione ring and the benzene ring is 61.03 (13)°. In the crystal structures, the molecules are linked by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak π–π interactions. Compound (I) is a much more potent herbicide than (II). The Cl⋯H distances between the farthest two atoms in (I) and (II) are 11.37 and 9.97 Å, respectively.  相似文献

The aromatic ring of the cinnamic moiety in N‐benzyl‐2′‐iodocinnamanilide, C22H18INO, (I), and N‐benzyl‐2′‐iodo‐4′‐methyl‐2‐phenylcinnamanilide, C29H24INO, (II), makes a dihedral angle with the iodophenyl ring of 72.1 (2) and 81.0 (2)° in (I) and (II), respectively. In (I), molecules exist as discrete components, while in (II), they form infinite chains along the b axis, through I?O non‐bonded interactions.  相似文献

In the title compounds, C12H12N2O2, (I), and C17H14N2O2, (II), respectively, the indole rings are planar and the vinyl groups lie out of the indole planes, making dihedral angles of 33.48 (5) and 41.31 (8)°, respectively. In (II), the dihedral angle between the phenyl and indole ring planes is 32.06 (6)°. In both molecules, the double bond connecting the methylnitrovinyl group and the indole nucleus adopts an E configuration. Notwithstanding the differences in space group [C2/c for (I) and P212121 for (II)], the mode of packing of compounds (I) and (II) is determined by similar intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen‐bonding interactions, forming chains that run parallel to [101] in (I) and [001] in (II).  相似文献

The structures of the three title isomers, namely 4‐(2‐methylanilino)pyridine‐3‐sulfonamide, (I), 4‐(3‐methylanilino)pyridine‐3‐sulfonamide, (II), and 4‐(4‐methylanilino)pyridine‐3‐sulfonamide, (III), all C12H13N3O2S, differ in their hydrogen‐bonding arrangements. In all three molecules, the conformation of the 4‐aminopyridine‐3‐sulfonamide moiety is conserved by an intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond and a C—H⋯O interaction. In the supramolecular structures of all three isomers, similar C(6) chains are formed via intermolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds lead to C(4) chains in (I), and to R22(8) centrosymmetric dimers in (II) and (III). In each isomer, the overall effect of all hydrogen bonds is to form layer structures.  相似文献

The title compound [systematic name: 4‐amino‐2′‐(di‐2‐pyridylmethylene)benzohydrazide hydrate], C18H15N5O·H2O, crystallizes in the triclinic space group P. Structural analysis shows one pyridine ring and the p‐aminobenzoylhydrazone moiety to be coplanar and orthogonal to the second pyridine ring. The packing reveals infinite molecular units interlocked via a network of hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Structure analyses of 4,4′‐bis(4‐hydroxybutyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine, C18H24N2O2, (I), and 4,4′‐bis(4‐bromobutyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine, C18H22Br2N2, (II), reveal intermolecular hydrogen bonding in both compounds. For (I), O—H·N intermolecular hydrogen bonding leads to the formation of an infinite two‐dimensional polymer, and π stacking interactions are also observed. For (II), C—H·N intermolecular hydrogen bonding leads to the formation of a zigzag polymer. The two compounds crystallize in different crystal systems, but both molecules possess Ci symmetry, with one half molecule in the asymmetric unit.  相似文献

(Z)‐3‐(1H‐Indol‐3‐yl)‐2‐(3‐thienyl)acrylonitrile, C15H10N2S, (I), and (Z)‐3‐[1‐(4‐tert‐butylbenzyl)‐1H‐indol‐3‐yl]‐2‐(3‐thienyl)acrylonitrile, C26H24N2S, (II), were prepared by base‐catalyzed reactions of the corresponding indole‐3‐carboxaldehyde with thiophene‐3‐acetonitrile. 1H/13C NMR spectral data and X‐ray crystal structures of compounds (I) and (II) are presented. The olefinic bond connecting the indole and thiophene moieties has Z geometry in both cases, and the molecules crystallize in space groups P21/c and C2/c for (I) and (II), respectively. Slight thienyl ring‐flip disorder (ca 5.6%) was observed and modeled for (I).  相似文献

1‐Methyl‐2‐[4‐phenyl‐6‐(pyridinium‐2‐yl)pyridin‐2‐yl]pyridinium diperchlorate, C22H19N32+·2ClO4, (I), and 2‐[4‐(methoxyphenyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridin‐6‐yl]‐1‐methylpyridinium iodide, C23H20N3O+·I, (II), both crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c. In contrast with the monocharged molecule of (II), the doubly charged molecule of (I) contains an additional protonated pyridine ring. One of the two perchlorate counter‐anions of (I) interacts with the cation of (I) via an N—H⋯O hydrogen bond. In (II), two molecules related by a centre of symmetry are connected by weak π–π interactions, forming dimers in the crystal structure.  相似文献

Diethyl 4‐(2,5‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐dihydropyridine‐3,5‐dicarboxylate, C21H27NO6, (I), diethyl 4‐(3,4‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐dihydropyridine‐3,5‐dicarboxylate, C21H27NO6, (II), and diethyl 2,6‐dimethyl‐4‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxyphenyl)‐1,4‐dihydropyridine‐3,5‐dicarboxylate, C22H29NO7, (III), crystallize with hydrogen‐bonding networks involving the H atom bonded to the N atom of the 1,4‐dihydropyridine ring and carbonyl O atoms in (I) and (II). Unusually, (III) shows O atoms of methoxy groups serving as hydrogen‐bond acceptors.  相似文献

The structures of a 2‐oxa‐5‐thiabicyclo[4.1.0]heptane derivative, C7H10Cl2O3S, (I), and a 2H,3H,5H‐1,4‐dithiepine derivative, C7H9ClO4S2, (II), are reported. The six‐membered ring in (I) has an envelope conformation and the seven‐membered ring in (II) adopts a chair conformation. There are no untoward intermolecular interactions in (I), but two Cl atoms make a short intermolecular contact across an inversion centre in (II), with a Cl?Cl distance of 3.2784 (9) Å, some 0.22 Å less than the sum of the van der Waals radii.  相似文献

4,5‐Propylenedithio‐1,3‐dithiole‐2‐thione, C6H6S5, (I), crystallizes in the centrosymmetric space group P21/c. The molecular packing is characterized by pairs of S⋯S intermolecular contacts between neighbouring molecules, which may account for the rather high thermal stablity of the crystal. 4,5‐Propylenedithio‐1,3‐dithiol‐2‐one, C6H6OS4, (II), in which an O atom replaces the terminal S atom of (I), crystallizes in the non‐centrosymmetric polar space group Cc. The packing pattern of (II) indicates that the macropolarization direction is along [101]. Although the packing patterns are qualitatively significantly different, the molecular structures of (I) and (II) are similar, each exhibiting a chair conformation.  相似文献

The title compounds, 4‐(2‐naphthyloxymethylcarbonyl)morpholine, C16H17NO3, (I), and 4‐methyl‐1‐(2‐naphthyloxymethylcarbonyl)piperazine, C17H20N2O2, (II), are potential antiamnesics. The morpholine ring in (I) and the piperazine ring in (II) adopt chair conformations. In (I), the molecules are linked by weak intermolecular C—H⃛O interactions into chains that have a graph‐set motif of C(10), while in (II), the molecules are linked by weak intermolecular C—H⃛O interactions that generate two C(7) graph‐set motifs. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene moiety and the best plane through the morpholine ring is 20.62 (4)° in (I), while the naphthalene moiety is oriented nearly perpendicular to the mean plane of the piperazine ring in (II).  相似文献

Both of the title compounds, catena‐poly[[[tetraaquamagnesium(I)]‐μ‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐κ2N:N′] diiodide bis(4,4′‐bipyridine) solvate], {[Mg(C10H8N2)(H2O)4]I2·2C10H8N2}n, (I), and catena‐poly[[[μ‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐bis[diiodobis(propan‐1‐ol)strontium(I)]]‐di‐μ‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐κ4N:N′] bis(4,4′‐bipyridine) solvate], {[Sr2I4(C10H8N2)3(C3H8O)4]·2C10H8N2}n, (II), are one‐dimensional polymers which are single‐ and double‐stranded, respectively, the metal atoms being linked by the 4,4′‐bipyridine moieties. The Mg complex, (I), is [cis‐{(H2O)4Mg(N‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐N′)(2/2)}](∞|∞)I2·4,4′‐bipyridine and Mg has a six‐coordinate quasi‐octahedral coordination environment. The Sr complex, (II), is isomorphous with its previously defined Ba counterpart [Kepert, Waters & White (1996). Aust. J. Chem. 49 , 117–135], being [(propan‐1‐ol)2I2Sr(N‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐N′)(3/2)](∞|∞)·4,4′‐bipyridine, with the I atoms trans‐axial in a seven‐coordinate pentagonal–bipyramidal Sr environment.  相似文献

The title compounds, (E)‐2‐[(2‐bromophenyl)iminomethyl]‐4‐methoxyphenol, C14H12BrNO2, (I), (E)‐2‐[(3‐bromophenyl)iminomethyl]‐4‐methoxyphenol, C14H12BrNO2, (II), and (E)‐2‐[(4‐bromophenyl)iminomethyl]‐4‐methoxyphenol, C14H12BrNO2, (III), adopt the phenol–imine tautomeric form. In all three structures, there are strong intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. Compound (I) has strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds, while compound (III) has weak intermolecular hydrogen bonds. In addition to these intermolecular interactions, C—H⋯π interactions in (I) and (III), and π–π interactions in (I), play roles in the crystal packing. The dihedral angles between the aromatic rings are 15.34 (12), 6.1 (3) and 39.2 (14)° for (I), (II) and (III), respectively.  相似文献
