We present a study about the flavor changing coupling of the top quark with the Higgs boson through the channel $pp\to H t/\bar{t}$ with $H\to b\bar{b}$ at LHC. The final states considered for the such process are $l^\pm+\mathbb{E}_{T}+3b$. We focus on the boosted region in the phase space of the Higgs boson. The backgrounds and events are simulated and analyzed. The sensitivities for the FCNH couplings are estimated. It is found that it is more sensitive for $y_{\rm tu}$ than $y_{\rm tq}$ at LHC. The upper limits of the FCNH couplings can be set at LHC with 3000 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$ integrated luminosity as $\vert y_{\rm tu}\vert^2=1.1\times10^{-3}$ and $\vert y_{\rm tc}\vert^2=7.2\times 10^{-3}$ at 95% C.L.  相似文献

In the framework of the littlest Higgs (LH) model, we consider the processes and , and we calculate the contributions of new particles to the cross sections of these processes in the future high energy e + e- collider (ILC) with TeV. We find that, with reasonable values of the free parameters, the deviations of the cross sections for the processes from their SM values might be comparable to the future ILC measurement precision. The contributions of the light Higgs boson H0 to the process are significantly large in all of the parameter space preferred by the electroweak precision data, which might be detected in the future ILC experiments. However, the contributions of the new gauge bosons BH and ZH to this process are very small.Received: 22 February 2005, Revised: 27 April 2005, Published online: 6 July 2005PACS: 12.60.Cn, 14.70.Pw, 14.80.Cp  相似文献

We consider the τ leptonic decay $\tau\rightarrow l\bar{\nu}_{l}\nu_{\tau}$ in the framework of the littlest Higgs (LH) model and calculate the corrections of new particles to this decay. We find that the contributions of the charged scalars can be safely ignored and the LH model is in perfect agreement with the universality of the couplings of the SU gauge bosons to the leptonic charged currents. The corrections of the LH model to the τ leptonic decay $\tau\rightarrow l\bar{\nu}_{l}\nu_{\tau}$ are not sensitive to the parameter c, but depend strongly on the parameters f and x. The precision measured data about the τ leptonic decay demand that the parameter f approximately equal 3.5 TeV and x>0.1, while agree with the general expectation based on other phenomenological explorations.  相似文献

The b[`b]\mbox{b}\bar{\mbox{b}} forward-backward asymmetry has been determined from the average charge flow measured in a sample of 3,500,000 hadronic Z decays collected with the DELPHI detector in 1992–1995. The measurement is performed in an enriched b[`b]\mbox{b}\bar{\mbox{b}} sample selected using an impact parameter tag and results in the following values for the b[`b]\mbox{b}\bar{\mbox{b}} forward-backward asymmetry: $ \begin{gathered} A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {89.55 GeV} \right) = 0.068 \pm 0.018 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0013\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {91.26 GeV} \right) = 0.0982 \pm 0.0047 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0016\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {92.94 GeV} \right) = 0.123 \pm 0.016 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0027\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $ \begin{gathered} A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {89.55 GeV} \right) = 0.068 \pm 0.018 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0013\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {91.26 GeV} \right) = 0.0982 \pm 0.0047 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0016\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ A_{FB}^{b\bar b} \left( {92.94 GeV} \right) = 0.123 \pm 0.016 \left( {stat.} \right) \pm 0.0027\left( {syst.} \right) \hfill \\ \end{gathered} The b[`b]\mbox{b}\bar{\mbox{b}} charge separation required for this analysis is directly measured in the b tagged sample, while the other charge separations are obtained from a fragmentation model precisely calibrated to data. The effective weak mixing angle is deduced from the measurement to be: $ sin^2 \theta _{eff}^1 = 0.23186 \pm 0.00083 $ sin^2 \theta _{eff}^1 = 0.23186 \pm 0.00083   相似文献

A Monte-Carlo analysis on production and decay of supersymmetric charginos at a future photon-collider is presented. A photon collider offers the possibility of a direct branching-ratio measurement. In this study, the process has been considered for a specific mSUGRA scenario. Various backgrounds and a parameterised detector simulation have been included. Depending on the centre-of-mass energy, a statistical error for the directly measurable branching ratio BR( ) of up to 3.5% can be reached.Received: 14 March 2005, Revised: 31 May 2005, Published online: 28 June 2005G. A resonance search has been made in the invariant-mass spectrum with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of . The decay channels and (and the corresponding antiparticle decays) were used to identify mesons. No resonance structure was observed in the mass spectrum from more than 60 000 reconstructed mesons. The results are not compatible with a report of the H1 Collaboration of a charmed pentaquark, .Received: 14 September 2004, Revised: 29 September 2004, Published online: 9 November 2004  相似文献

A few-body type computation is performed for a three-charge-particle collision with participation of a slow antiproton ${\bar{\rm{p}}}$ and a muonic muonium atom (true muonium), i.e. a bound state of two muons ${(\mu^{+}\mu^{-})}$ in its ground state. The total cross section of the following reaction ${\bar{\rm p}+(\mu^{+}\mu^{-}) \rightarrow \bar{\rm{H}}_{\mu} + \mu^{-}}$ , where muonic anti-hydrogen ${\bar{\rm{H}}_{\mu}=(\bar{\rm p}\mu^{+})}$ is a bound state of an antiproton and positive muon, is computed in the framework of a set of coupled two-component Faddeev-Hahn-type equation. A better known negative muon transfer low energy three-body reaction: ${{\rm t}^{+} + ({\rm d}^{+}\mu^{-})\rightarrow ({\rm t}^{+}\mu^{-}) + {\rm d}^{+}}$ is also computed as a test system. Here, t+ is triton and d+ is deuterium.  相似文献

Through top-quark pair productions at LHC, we study possible effects of nonstandard top–gluon couplings yielded by SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) invariant dimension-6 effective operators. We calculate the total cross section and also some distributions for $pp\to t\bar{t}X$ as functions of two anomalous-coupling parameters, i.e., the chromoelectric and chromomagnetic moments of the top, which are constrained by the total cross section $\sigma(p\bar{p}\to t\bar{t}X)$ measured at Tevatron. We find that LHC might give us some chances to observe sizable effects induced by those new couplings.  相似文献

Single slepton production in association with a top quark at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is one of the important processes in probing the R-parity violation couplings. We calculate the QCD next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections to the $pp \to t\tilde{\ell}^{-}(\bar{t}\tilde{\ell}^{+})+X$ process at the LHC and discuss the impacts of the QCD corrections on kinematic distributions. We investigate the dependence of the leading order (LO) and the NLO QCD corrected integrated cross section on the factorization/renormalization energy scale, slepton, stop-quark and gluino masses. We find that the uncertainty of the LO cross section due to the energy scale is obviously improved by the NLO QCD corrections, and the exclusive jet event selection scheme keeps the convergence of the perturbative series better than the inclusive scheme. The results show that the polarization asymmetry of the top-quark will be reduced by the NLO QCD corrections, and the QCD corrections generally increase with the increment of the $\tilde{t}_{1}$ or $\tilde {g}$ mass value.  相似文献

The Higgs Triplet Model (HTM) predicts the existences of the extra neutral scalars Hi(Hi = H, A) and the charged Higgs bosons (H± and H±±). In this work, we make a systematic investigation for the associated production of the singly-charged and neutral Higgs bosons via the processes: \(e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow H^{+}W^{-}H\) and \(e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow H^{+}W^{-}A\). From the numerical evaluations for the production cross sections and relevant phenomenological analysis we find that (i) the production rates of these processes can reach the level of several fb with reasonable parameter values; (ii) due to the large production rates and small backgrounds, the signals of these scalars might be detected via these processes at the future ILC experiments; and (iii) for the case of \(m_{H_{i}}> m_{H^{\pm }}> m_{H^{\pm \pm }}\), the cascade decay modes \(H_{i}\to H^{\pm }W^{\mp \ast }\) with \(H^{\pm }\to H^{\pm \pm }W^{\mp \ast }\) would lead to production of H++H?? accompanied by several virtual W bosons. Such characteristic feature can help us to distinguish the HTM from the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM).  相似文献

The decay chain is identified in a sample of 3.9 million hadronic Z decays collected with the OPAL detector at LEP. The branching ratio BR is measured to be for the J P =1+ (D0 1) state. For decays into the J P =2+ (D2 *0) state, an upper limit of 1.4 x 10-3 is placed on the branching ratio at the 95% confidence level.Received: 20 December 2002, Revised: 15 April 2003, Published online: 12 September 2003  相似文献

This continuation of the derivation of general beam-referenced stage-two spin-correlation functions is for the analysis of top–antitop pair-production at the Tevatron and at the Large Hadron Collider. Both the gluon-production and the quark-production contributions are included for the charged-lepton-plus-jets reaction pp or . There is a simple 4-angle beam-referenced spin-correlation function for determination of the relative sign of or for measurement of a possible non-trivial phase between the two dominant helicity amplitudes for the decay mode. There is an analogous function and tests for decay. This signature requires use of the energy of the hadronically decaying W-boson, or the kinematically equivalent cosine of the polar angle of emission in the antitop (top) decay frame. Spinors and their outer-products are constructed so that the helicity-amplitude phase convention of Jacob and Wick can be used throughout for the fixing of the signs associated with this large W-boson longitudinal–transverse interference effect.  相似文献

The standard model is a successful theory but is lacking a mechanism for neutrino mass generation as well as a solution to the naturalness problem. In the models that are proposed to simultaneously solve the two problems, heavy Majorana neutrinos and top partners are usually predicted to lead to a new decay mode of the top partner mediated by the heavy Majorana neutrinos: $T\to b\,{W}^{+}\to b\,{{\ell }}^{+}{{\ell }}^{+}q\bar{q^{\prime} }$. In this paper, we will study the observability of such a new signature via the pair production process of a top partner ${pp}\to T\bar{T}\to 2b+{{\ell }}^{\pm }{{\ell }}^{\pm }+4j$ in a model independent way. By performing Monte Carlo simulations, we present the 2σ exclusion limits of the top partner mass and mixing parameters at the HL-LHC.  相似文献

We calculate the standard model predictions for top quark pair production and decay into six fermions at a linear e+e- collider. We include the factorizable electroweak $\mathcal{O}(\alpha)$ corrections in the pole approximation and QED corrections due to the initial state radiation in the structure function approach. The effects of the radiative corrections on the predictions are illustrated by showing numerical results for two selected six-fermion reactions $e^+e^-\rightarrow b\nu_{\mu}\mu^+\bar{b}\mu^-\bar{\nu}_\mu$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow b\nu_{\mu}\mu^+\bar{b}d\bar{u}$ .  相似文献

We have calculated the electroweak corrections to the processes , , and at the LHC, with l=e,μ and . The virtual corrections are evaluated in leading-pole approximation, whereas the real corrections are taken into account exactly. These corrections are implemented into a Monte Carlo generator which includes both phase-space slicing and subtraction to deal with soft and collinear singularities. We present numerical results for total cross sections as well as for experimentally interesting distributions. Applying typical LHC cuts, the electroweak corrections are of the order of -5% for the total cross sections and exceed -20% for observables dominated by high center-of-mass energies of the partonic processes.  相似文献

Most of this paper consists of the derivation of general beam-referenced stage-two spin-correlation functions for the analysis of top-antitop pair production at the Tevatron, at the Large Hadron Collider, and/or at an International Linear Collider. However, for the charged-lepton plus jets reaction , there is a simple three-angle spin-correlation function for the determination of the relative sign of or for the measurement of a possible non-trivial phase between the two dominant λb=-1/2 helicity amplitudes for the tW+b decay mode. For the CP-conjugate case, there is an analogous function and tests for decay. These results make use of W-boson longitudinal-transverse interference. We report the constraints of $H_0$ obtained from Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) 9-year data combined with the latest baryonic acoustic oscillations (BAO) measurements. We use the BAO measurements from 6dF Galaxy Survey (6dFGS), the SDSS DR7 main galaxies sample (MGS), the BOSS DR12 galaxies, and the eBOSS DR14 quasars. Adding the recent BAO measurements to the cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from WMAP, we constrain cosmological parameters $\Omega_m=0.298\pm0.005$, $H_0=68.36^{+0.53}_{-0.52} {\rm km}\cdot {\rm s}^{-1}\cdot {\rm Mpc}^{-1}$, $\sigma_8=0.8170^{+0.0159}_{-0.0175}$ in a spatially flat $\Lambda$ cold dark matter ($\Lambda$CDM) model, and $\Omega_m=0.302\pm0.008$, $H_0=67.63\pm1.30 {\rm km}\cdot{\rm s}^{-1}\cdot {\rm Mpc}^{-1}$, $\sigma_8=0.7988^{+0.0345}_{-0.0338}$ in a spatially flat $w$CDM model, respectively. Our measured $H_0$ results prefer a value lower than 70 ${\rm km}\cdot {\rm s}^{-1}\cdot{\rm Mpc}^{-1}$, consistent with the recent data on CMB constraints from Planck (2018), but in $3.1$ and $3.5\sigma$ tension with local measurements of SH0ES (2018) in $\Lambda$CDM and $w$CDM framework, respectively. Our results indicate that there is a systematic tension on the Hubble constant between SH0ES and the combination of CMB and BAO datasets.  相似文献

We study the photoproduction of the charged top-pion predicted by the top triangle moose (TTM) model (a deconstructed version of the topcolor-assisted technicolor TC2 model) via the processes $pp\rightarrow p \gamma p \rightarrow \pi ^\pm _t t +X$ at the 14 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC) including next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections. Our results show that the production cross sections and distributions are sensitive to the free parameters $\sin \omega $ and $M_{\pi _t}$ . A typical QCD correction value is $7{-}11~\%$ and this does not depend much on $\sin \omega $ as well as the forward detector acceptances.  相似文献

In grand-unified theories (GUT), non-universal boundary conditions for the gaugino masses may arise at the unification scale and may affect the observability of the neutral MSSM Higgs bosons (h/H/A) at the LHC. The implications of such non-universal gaugino masses are investigated for Higgs boson production in the SUSY cascade decay chain , , , produced in pp interactions. In the singlet representation with universal gaugino masses only the light Higgs boson can be produced in this cascade with the parameter region of interest for us, while with non-universal gaugino masses heavy neutral MSSM Higgs boson production may dominate. The allowed parameter space in the light of the WMAP constraints on the cold dark-matter relic density is investigated in the above scenarios for gaugino mass parameters. We also demonstrate that combination of representations can give the required amount of dark matter in any point of the parameter space. In the non-universal case we show that heavy Higgs bosons can be detected in the cascade studied in parameter regions with the WMAP preferred neutralino relic density.  相似文献
