The reaction p K0+ was measured in the photon energy range from threshold up to 2.6 GeV with the SAPHIR detector at the electron stretcher facility, ELSA, in Bonn. Results are presented on the reaction cross-section and the polarization of the + as a function of the kaon production angle in the centre-of-mass system, cosc.m.K, and the photon energy. The cross-section is lower and varies less with photon energy and kaon production angle than that of p K+0. The + is polarized predominantly at cosc.m.K 0. The data presented here are more precise than previous ones obtained with SAPHIR and extend the photon energy range to higher values. They are compared to isobar model calculations.  相似文献

The cross section for the radiative photoproduction of + mesons on hydrogenp + n in dependence on the momentum transfer squared has been measured at the 1·2 GeV electron synchrotron PACHRA. Using extrapolation of the data to pion pole the differential cross section for the pion Compton scattering + + has been obtained, and the electric polarizability of the + meson has been estimated to be =(20±12) x 10-43cm3.Presented at the symposium Mesons and Light Nuclei, Bechyn, Czechoslovakia, May 27–June 1, 1985.The authors thank P. We have measured the high-temperature resistivities of dilute Ti1-x Al x alloys withx0.135 up to 1100 K (2.6 D , where D is the Debye temperature). We observe that possesses a strong downward deviation from a linear temperature-dependence at high temperatures (several hundred degrees Kelvin). Eventually, saturates to a constant. This non-Bloch-Grüneisen-like behavior is compared with the predictions of current theories.  相似文献

IfP ij(x) is the probability distribution function of the scaled distancex between two elementsi andj of a long polymer in a good solvent, it is shown by Monte Carlo calculations that is in good agreement with out data for allx (B is a normalization constant). As a model we consider the freely jointed chain consisting ofN=160 rigid links. We estimate the exponents to 0=0.27±0.01, 0=2.44±0.02 (fori=1,j=N); 1=0.55±0.06, 1=2.60±0.15 (fori=1,j=N/2); 2=0.9±0.1, 2=2.48±0.06 (fori=N/4,j=3N/4). 0 and 0 are in agreement with 0=1/(1-v) and 0=(-1)/v proposed by Fisher and des Cloiseaux respectively, but we find concerning 1 and 2 that our estimates differ from recent -expansion calculations, by an amount of 20–30%. Copper radiation has been used in an x-ray study of the temperature dependence of the effective characteristic x-ray temperature p(T) for the alloys of the Cu-Ni system over the temperature range 293–1073 °K and in a determination of the concentration dependence of d lnp/dT for the alloys. It is shown that p(c) is additive. The concentration dependence of d lnp/dT is linear. The possible existence of a vector leptonic resonance (0) in the + system is considered. We discuss the effect such a resonance would have on the g factor of the muon and also on the ratio of the partial widths of the muonic and electronic decay modes (RV = (V +)/G (V e+ e)) of the neutral vector mesons 0,,,, and. From the experimental values of R and R, the following values are obtained for the mass, coupling constant, and partial decay widths of the resonance: M = 872 ± 60 MeV, f2/4 = 4 ± 2) ·10–4, ( 0 + ) = 0.12±0.06 MeV, and (0 0 +) = 0.13±0.06 MeV.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 5, pp. 39–43, May, 1977.  相似文献

We derive an expression for the harmonic content of the oscillatory magnetization (de Haas-van Alphen effect) which is valid in the most general case, when the harmonic amplitudes and the relative harmonic phases of the pure Lifshitz-Kosevitch (LK) theory are modified by an arbitrary combination of magnetic interaction (MI), spin-scattering anisotropy (SSA) and exchange shift effects. The calculation produces several conclusions which bear directly upon the possibility of generally being able to determine separately the up-spin and down-spin conduction electron lifetimes in the presence of magnetic impurities, by means of measurements of the amplitudes and relative phase of the fundamental and second harmonic dHvA oscillations. We have shown that not only does SSA shift the first and second LK harmonics in phase, by amounts1 and2, but SSA also shifts the second harmonic magnetic interaction component by an amount 21. We find that, in general, the combined effect of both MI and SSA on the observable relative phase angle, (2 12), can either add or cancel. In the limit in which the second harmonic is dominated by the MI component it can be shown that (2 12) goes to , regardless of the amount of SSA, so that no useful information regarding SSA can be obtained from (2 12) in this case. We study the resonant magnetopolaron effects in parabolic quantum wells in a tilted magnetic field. The renormalization of the first excited level, which is resonant with the ground state level plus one longitudinal-optical phonon is calculated at the resonance using an improved resonance approximation to be E= where is the polaron coupling constant. The exponent and the factor are calculated in dependence on the tilt angle of the magnetic field and the confinement energy.  相似文献

The reaction K+XeK0pX is investigated in a meson-exchange model including rescattering of the secondary protons with the aim to analyze the evidence for the +(1540)-resonance reported by the DIANA Collaboration. We confirm that the kinematical cuts introduced by the DIANA Collaboration efficiently suppress the background to the K+nK0p reaction which may contribute to the +(1540) production. We find that these kinematical cuts do not produce a narrow structure in the K0p effective-mass spectra near 1540 MeV. We study the effect of a narrow +-resonance of both positive and negative parity in comparison with the DIANA data. We show that the K+XeK0pX calculations without + contribution as well as the results obtained with a + width of 1 MeV are in comparably good agreement with the DIANA results. More dedicated experiments are called for to establish this exotic baryon resonance.  相似文献

We study kaonic deuterium, the bound K-d state AK d. Within a quantum field-theoretic and relativistic covariant approach we derive the energy level displacement of the ground state of kaonic deuterium in terms of the amplitude of K-d scattering for arbitrary relative momenta. Near threshold our formula reduces to the well-known DGBT formula. The S-wave amplitude of K-d scattering near threshold is defined by the resonances (1405), (1750) and a smooth elastic background, and the inelastic channels K-d NY and K-d NY, where Y = ±,{0} and {0}, where the final-state interactions play an important role. The Ericson-Weise formula for the S-wave scattering length of K-d scattering is derived. The total width of the energy level of the ground state of kaonic deuterium is estimated using the theoretical predictions of the partial widths of the two-body decays AKd NY and experimental data on the rates of the NY pair production in the reactions K-d NY. We obtain {1s} = (630±100)eV. For the shift of the energy level of the ground state of kaonic deuterium we predict {1s} = (325±60)eV.  相似文献

TheSU(N) Yang-Mills equations are considered in a four-dimensional Euclidean box with periodic boundary conditions (hypertorus). Gauge-invariant twists can be introduced in these boundary conditions, to be labeled with integersn (= –n ), defined moduloN. The Pontryagin number in this space is often fractional. Quantum-chemical calculations of the electronic structure of the tetraphenylporphin dication have been made by the CNDO/S method for various values of the parameter of saddle-like distortions of the porphyrin macroring of angle and the dihedral angle between the macroring planes and the phenyl rings. It is shown that the boundary highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of symmetry a 2u is the most sensitive to variations in and and its order can be changed relative to another HOMO of symmetry a 1u . The behavior of the lower excited electronic singlet and triplet states depending on and has been analyzed in detail. In particular, the addition of configurations with charge transfer to the Q, B, and N states as well as to the T 1 and T 2 states has been determined quantitatively. An interpretation of the experimental spectra of porphyrin dications on the basis of the calculation results is given.  相似文献

In a kinematically complete experiment on9Be(n, nn)8Begs at 10.3 MeV, the absolute differential cross section of then-n FSI configuration at lab=30° has been measured. It was our particular object to determine the singlet scattering length of then-n interaction via its final-state interaction being embedded in a multi-nucleon background. An extended and thorough analysis yielded1 a nn =–16.5±1.0 fm which is consistent with the results of the most recent and most precise kinematically complete measurements with three hadrons in the final state. These, however, altogether contradict the values deduced from dnn.  相似文献

The surface morphology after deposition of Ag on Ag(111) at low temperatures (130–200 K) has been studied in detail with SPA-LEED (Spot-Profile Analysis of Low-Energy Electron Diffraction). The surface roughness and the mean terrace size have been quantitatively determined under various conditions. At 130 K the surface roughness increases with coverage exactly according to the relation = 1/2, which indicates that the inter-layer diffusion can be neglected at 130 K. Although the mean terrace length decreases with increasing coverage (following an approximate power law of –2/3) for all studied coverages, it is much larger than expected for a pure random or Poisson-growth mode without any diffusion of the adatoms. Therefore, Ag grows on Ag(111) at this temperature without interlayer diffusion but with intra-layer diffusion. The intralayer diffusion barrierE d has been determined by measuring the temperature dependence of the two-dimensional island density according to the nucleation theory (supposing a critical nucleus size of one). The obtained valueE c=0.18 eV agrees with the theoretical calculations and previous measurements. Furthermore, from comparing measured and Monte-Carlo-simulated (MC) surface roughness at different deposition temperatures we obtain E=0.05 eV as a lower limit for the additional barrier at steps.  相似文献

The topologically singular lattice structure around a spiral dislocation scatters electrons in a manner much different from the deformation-potential-scattering. Thet-matrix is represented ast(k, k)=t 0 sin (k z/2) exp (±i kk/2)/sin ( kk/2) with the scattering angle kk, the componentk z of the wave vector parallel to the dislocation, andt 0(Fermi energy). A carbon polarimeter for proton polarization measurements at energies higher than 4 MeV has been designed. Considerable transmission has been attained by using a thick polarimeter target and larger scattering solid angles. The effective polarization value at the region ofE p from 4·6 to 6·0 MeV varies only slightly with energy and attains an average value ofP eff–0·8. Solid state detectors were used for proton recording. The instrument calibration curve was determined by means of a triple experiment.The angular distribution of polarized protons scattered elastically has been measured at an energy of 6·7 MeV and in an angle range of lab form 30 to 120. This distribution has two minima ofP(40lab)=–056±0·03 andP(100lab)=–088±0·06 and one maximum ofP(70lab)=+1·03±0·04.  相似文献

The beam asymmetryB has been measured for the reactiond pn in the energy rangeE = 0·4 ÷ 0·8 GeV and angles p cm = 45 ÷ 95° and ford 0d at energiesE =0·5, 0·6, 0·7 GeV and angle cm = 130°. We have studied structural changes in the high-temperature B2-phase in a large single crystal at temperatures near the premartensitic transformation B2 B19. We are the first to observe an extra 1/2 (110) reflection in neutron diffraction patterns taken along the [110]B2 direction as the sample is cooled below 420 K, but still far from the martensite start temperature (Ms=180 K). This extra reflection heralds the formation of long-range order in atomic displacements with wave vectorq=(1/2±)[110]2/a. Premartensitic diffraction effects (caused by the development and correlation of lattice waves of atomic displacements with wave vectorsq 12/a[1/3, 1/3, 0] andq 12/1[1/3, 1/3] that were clearly visible in this same single crystal before the martensitic transformation B2 R, appeared at even lower temperatures with substantially lower intensities.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 1, pp. 56–61, January, 1995.  相似文献
